7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

Hmmm... I have to be honest here, I don't necessarily think in the category of 'worldbuilding' when I write, I just have a story and I figure out what goes around the story to make it feel more 'there' and for the world to have rules which will allow the story both to happen and to have some limits the characters run into. So I don't think I do much with worldbuilding, at least not consciously. Having said that, I do like a few aus that I concocted and I think Howl's Moving Castle!au is one of my favourites, mostly because it borrows elements from four different canons to create a separate story of Kunlun the Wizard ;)

24. Are there any easter eggs in singer!au, and if so, what are they?

Hah, there are plenty! Ascel and I had waaaay too much fun with this one, especially since we could poke a bit of fun at fan theories, different Z1L interviews where he tries very hard not to answer a single question, and all that jazz, but I think the most time-consuming Easter eggs were the handles of different fans, because we didn't want to be too obvious, but we still wanted them to be connected to something, so they are basically a list of references to different series we were watching at the moment/have watched before getting into Guardian:

fandoms: Well, so far I’ve written something for Star Wars, Wonder Woman, MCU, and HP/Fantastic Beasts, of course.

where you post: Mostly on ao3, but I’ve posted a few ficlets on tumblr which I think were kind of too short to post there.

favorite story you’ve written: That’s actually difficult, but I’m very fond of Ghost of You. But I think Lines is my fave in terms of having fun while writing

fic you were nervous to post: Every fic I’ve ever written, honestly.

how you choose your titles: I just wait for a good word or phrase to pop into my head and see if it fits. I tend not to overthink it, but I do borrow words from songs or poems.

do you outline: Short answer: no. Long answer: Not in a traditional way, but I usually have a good idea of how the story will end and how it will get there as I start writing. I also tend to think of my stories in a kind of structured way, which may come from having a lot of background in literature, so I do think of parts of what I’m writing as acts and arcs and narratives. I also try to write down some ideas as they pop into my head, so I use them as a kind of markings - like I will write down a bit of dialogue and then leave it as “and that will happen there” kind of thing.

complete: Well, I’m choosing to go with “written in English” and “posted to ao3″ as criteria - so 8 so far.

in progress: Lines! And, apparently, grindeldore got au, which is trying to take over my brain and writing time.

coming soon/not yet started: I have a few different projects started and some ideas bouncing around, but we’ll see how it will go.

no worries about any pronunciations being wrong fhdjkf!! i didn't really have a set one in mind when i first came up with the name and im fond of all the ones i heard ppl use!! :>

for ref tho i normally swap between "a-cell" and "ah-cell"/"as-cell" (these being the ones others mostly use too shfdkjf) but again im cool with anything u think sounds neat !! :D

how did you manage to put line breaks in your bio?

HTML text formatting :] !

I use the line break element <br> between lines of text I want either separated on a new line with or without a space in between !

Random q. Axolotl. Do u use the "standard" pronunciation or the Nahuatl pronunciation :0

👀 ! the Nahuatl one ! :] specifically, "ah-sho-lok" (strong "kch" sound at end) and "ah-sho-lotl" (strong "tch" sound at end)

i personally swap between the Nahuatl dialect of "ah-sho-lok" and the spanish ajolote ("ah-ho-loh-teh"), though normally gravitate towards the former "ah-sho-lok" (am trying to get myself more accustomed to "ah-sho-lotl" as well!)
