Hands got to the rendering of Mitt'raw'nuruodo's sketches. It was unusual to draw him without the Grand Admiral’s signature hairstyle, but I really wanted to make a strong contrast between his life “before” and “after” starting his service in the navy. Life on his home planet certainly wasn't easy.

Fandom culture has changed so much, I honestly just don't get it anymore

It used to be absolutely normal to like morally questionable or straight up irredeemable characters, there was no "if you like a bad guy, you are agreeing with the bad guy" in my 2013

Now nearly in every fandom villain lovers are getting bullied, fandoms are busy protecting pixel's feelings, while severely hurting real people's mental health with this neverending flood of toxicity

And it genuinely upsets me, because villains and the whole concept of liking "against the good guys" characters in media/ literature/ art/ etc was always a safe space for outcasts and people who felt rejected by society, for being queer, for just being different and unable to fit in for any reason

And seeing that even inside online fandom culture villain lovers are getting nothing but this bs is heartbreaking

And all this discussion about "healthy relationship with imaginary bf" is the whole different bucket of crap that I would waffle about at some point

How these people are doing in literature classes, I mean, every other classical book has some kind of toxic love story, do they need a trigger warning for every book or something

Lately, I’ve been thinking about stars and Astarion. What if he is a Pale Star? Dim — from wounds, from the hunger that gnaws at him day and night — this is his suffering. That’s why his light is faint. He yearns for light — for the days when he was truly alive.

What if stars are vampire spawn? Their time is the night — always and only. He is one among a thousand stars in the night.

Dawn often symbolizes life, a new beginning. And when the sun rises, the stars vanish. The image of the color red in a ritual can resemble the rays of dawn. So who could be The Sun?

The colour of the ritual is of course red for a number of reasons. What other colour would an infernal ritual involving blood sacrifice be? Turquoise? Of course red.

And when you put it all together it looks curious.

Themes of "power and freedom" are central for Astarion. And I love finding additional symbols — when a character, say, draws attention to something. Like red dragons, for example. It's all part of the artistic detail and aesthetic.

Astarion mentions the stars in Act 1, when he starts his "simple plan" — but that line is much deeper than it seems. Only later do we understand why.

I can see the stars from Baldur's Gate, of course, but not with such clarity.

He associates with the star. His name fits. In the evil ending, he chooses the symbol of the sun. Astarion Original can do it at any point, if you take the power of the absolute. Well, the sun is also a star, \yellow dwarf XD\ but it's the only one that can be seen during the day.

I have several thoughts as to why Astarion chose the solar symbol. One — is because he was impressed by the concentrated power of the sun.

The sun — once something he fled from, yet longed for — now lies within his grasp, to revel in.

The overarching symbolism — dawn, rebirth of the heart, stars fading into sunlight — it's beautifully cohesive.

The sun's light eclipses all others.

Hello, what are some indicator of being alone your whole life and general experiencing some multilevel loneliness such like feeling of not belonging to both your friends and family? Personally I have cancer Jupiter in the 12th house, scorpio moon in the 4th house and gemini stellium (saturn, mars, venus, north node) in the 11th house and so far I've been feeling this through majority of the time...

Hi. This is kind of a broad question since anyone can undergo a period of loneliness. I’ll do my best to answer but I do not believe anyone is doomed to be alone their entire life.

Indicators of Loneliness

- AK in 12th house. This shows one’s soul requires solitude and quiet. When they get too involved in social activity or hectic lifestyles, they face a lot of problems. It is believed their soul has burned any past life karma they had with other souls so now they must confront themselves/look internally. this is only one placement tho - entire chart will change the outcome.

- Malefics (Mars, Saturn, Sun) &/or debilitated planets in social houses (3, 7, 10, 11) for vedic. sign, aspect & nakshatra will influence this.

- Lilith &/or chiron in social houses (3, 7, 10, 11).

- Saturn conjunct 7th house ruler. Saturn conjunct Venus. This can make one be reserved when it comes to interacting with other people. It can show people are reserved when interacting with you making it difficult to get close to people. You can feel restricted in relationships of any sort making you desire smaller social groups.

- Debilitated or harshly aspected Mercury. This can create difficulty in getting your thoughts across to others. For ex: Sag Mercury square Asc - The person can often be misperceived making it difficult to socialize.

- 1st H ruler in 4th. This can show a private person.

- Retrograde 7th H Ruler. The people you come across are often reserved when interacting with you.

- Retrograde planets in 7th, 3rd, 11th or 10th house.

- born on the 11th (connected w duality - living a dual life - potentially feeling one side of you is unknown.

this has been on my mind for literal months now, resurfacing, then floating around that pool a bit and then sinking into the depths again, but maybe i should just write it down and get it out of my system idk

but i always found it a bit chilling how once ascended, astarion calls tav the consort, the closest thing to a family he has. sort of.. painting them as 'the wife' or 'the husband' and i know that a lot of people find it endearing and as a sort of a 'proof' that he still loves them and trusts them, yet all i can think about hearing those words (especially with the context and other things he can say to spawn tav) is how cazador called the seven spawn his 'children'.

how he created this 'family', specifically named them as such (when he could've just as easily treated and called them as what they truly were to him, just his slaves), only to then horrifically abuse them, shape them into what he wanted them to be through torture, both physical and psychological. this sort of.. oxymoron in motion. and if it wasn't bad enough with all the abuse, he knew (for hundreds of years) that these poor souls, his children, are going to be consumed for the ritual to grant him the powers of the vampire ascendant. the sort of.. devouring and annihilation of his own 'family'.

and it always made me wonder if that's the eventual story for spawn tav and ascended astarion as well. if them being 'the consort', in the whole picture, means the same thing 'children' meant to cazador? if he could heartlessly torture and abuse his own 'children', then astarion could eventually do that very same thing to tav?

Its always so wild to me when people think that wanderer’s story is over just because 3.3 happened when that is literally just the set up. Like im sorry but that was not his redemption arc that was just the very beginning. At the very end of it they talk about the raiden gokaden, about how they should know about his involvement with them.

How is it not obvious that his story is still being continued? If hoyoverse really wanted to be lazy and make 3.3 into some shitty “redemption” arc, couldn’t they just have wanderer live his life without ever trying to make a change? We see it in the way he’s currently trying to bring light to what happened in tatarasuna and how he sent forging blueprints to inazuma during the recent inazuma event. Hell, they could have just kept him as a blank slate and went “well, guess he’s a good guy now” but that wouldn’t be a very satisfying conclusion to his story now would it?

And with the recent live stream about nod-krai with the devs talking about wanting to bring past plot points that were hidden behind books and item descriptions into quests, they show us an artefact from the husk of opulent dreams set

They used bloom times as an example, and best part is that the other examples used were before the sun and moon and the all devouring narwhal, implying that he is of equal importance to the story as them

What i love about bloom times and calabash of awakening is that its written as if wanderer is going to die. Its worrying but also so exciting because i want to see what hoyo has planned for him, because the way they are written makes it feel like not only is going to “die” doing some noble deed that is worthy of becoming a legend (*ahem* evangelion op reference *cough* *cough*) but also that he will not “die” in the traditional sense where his body is destroyed and so is his consciousness. Will his spirit and consciousness become connected to irminsul and the leylines? Will he ascend in a similar way that vannessa did? And in what kind of scenario is wanderer put through where that even becomes an option, a possibility? Who knows, because just like the calabash of awakening says, his third act is still ongoing

Also are we just gonna ignore that its implied that hes able to just casually interact with his past self?? Hello? That and the “error” that awakened him are still not explained
