The automotive industry is in the midst of a technological revolution, with software becoming the backbone of modern vehicles. From autonomous driving systems and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to connected car technologies and enhanced safety features, software is driving innovation like never before. However, with this increased reliance on software comes the challenge of ensuring its quality, safety, and reliability. This is where Automotive SPICE® (ASPICE) steps in.
ASPICE is a globally recognized framework designed to assess and improve software development processes specifically for the automotive industry. It provides a structured approach to ensure that software systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. By adopting ASPICE, organizations can not only streamline their development processes but also ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. In this blog, we’ll dive deeper into what ASPICE is, why it’s important, and how it can benefit automotive software development.
What is ASPICE?
Automotive SPICE® (ASPICE) is a process assessment model tailored for the automotive industry. It serves as a guideline for organizations to evaluate and enhance their software development processes, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of the automotive sector. ASPICE is based on the ISO/IEC 330xx series of standards, which provide a foundation for process assessment and improvement.

OC Tav Questions
Thank you @whiskeyskin for the tag!
Asmodea my beloved
Tumblr media
👕Appearance Is there someone your character tries to look similar to?
No, she is only concerned with looking different to how she looked in her early 20's, because of reasons.
📦Objects Is there an item your character is embarrassed they own or want?
She keeps a collection of old diaries somewhere at the bottom of a worn bag of holding. The things written in said diaries are in equal parts cringe, incriminating and bizarre, at times sad, but she can't bring herself to destroy them.
🍽️Food and Drink What is a childhood meal your character cherishes?
Rashemi sjorl cheese. Also salted herring, aspic, salt-cured pork (salo), pickled anything. She likes A LOT of food that makes other people question her sanity.
🌤️Weather and Nature Has your character had a meaningful encounter with an animal?
She once happened to pass an abattoir whilst under the effect of a Speak with Animals spell, and promptly went vegetarian for years.
🤝Community and Relationships How comfortable would your character be singing and dancing in front of others?
Well she used to be a bard. Though the level of her comfort is directly proportional to the size of the crowd around her. Bustling tavern full of drunkards? Absolutely fine. Perfect. No problem at all, she will rouse the crowd, no worries. Small intimate gathering where people are actually paying close attention? No thanks.
💓Mind, Body and Soul Are there scents your character dislikes?
Charred meat. Sweat. Anything reminiscent of goblin camps.
🎲 Hobbies and Activities What is a talent your character wishes they had?
She wishes her magic wasn't wholly dependent on her patron, but she makes do.
Tagging @spacebarbarianweird (OC of your choice), @glassphinix (Thorn), @coreene (Lorelei), @confused-toasty-dragon (Drat), @des-no9 (Doll Parts Vanquish though I guess the childhood question won't apply)

For Sleepover Saturday: Favorite and least favorite foods cause I'm curious <3
Big fan of curries of all varieties, especially with a good heat level, and all the spice. Least favorite might be more related to my texture issue with it, but things like jello/gelatin and aspic put me off. Thanks for the ask, Max!

𝐆𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐞 - What is the weirdest thing you’ve eaten?
- I have wracked my brain and I can't think of anything super weird because honestly I am kind of a picky eater and have food issues 😆 I'm gonna say...uh...oh this weird beef dish I had in Germany that was like, jellied and was foul. I wanna say it was called beef aspic. The roast potatoes on the side were amazing but that was a terrible way to serve me beef 😭
𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐫 - Can you tell us the most important lesson you’ve learned by yourself?
- Hrm. By myself? How to masturbate? 😆😆 I'm trying to think of a life lesson I learned by myself. Probably to be less naïve and automatically trusting of other people, and also what my comfort levels are when I'm surrounded by strangers. I always know when to bow out because I feel unsafe. At least IRL.

My grandmother cannot cook either. Not aspic level bad, but no salt or seasonings bad. A "I'm going to bake this [insert meat here]" and it comes out of the oven without a speck of salt or pepper. Not even parsley or basil or oregano. Just the plain meat baked until it's safe to eat. Roasted potatoes with nothing on them, either.
At least she adds some spices to her spaghetti sauce. Not to her soups, though.

🍂🍂| Adelard's library has a decent collection of cookbooks. These, like the rest of the library span across the centuries, and include things for multiple countries, languages, and various levels of complexity.
Some of his favourite are the ones from the 1950s and 60s. He's thrilled by their use of gelatin, and the ease for which it can be used! For meat, and fruit, and all sorts of things.
Adelard was far from one of the wealthy nobles of the medieval era, so it wasn't like he was feasting on aspic on the regular. And then here came a new era, and it was easy.
As with rather a lot of things about Adelard's house, you can never be wholly certain what you'll run into. Sometimes it's a perfectly acceptable stew, or maybe a 1950s dinner party concoction, or something more medieval in nature he's used more modern tricks for.
He's tried a lot of the dinner party style dishes, and while he loves them, conceptually, many of them don't actually win him over! He's not a huge fan of mayonnaise is probably what a lot of it comes down to.

The first PCIe 4.0 vehicle SSD based on eighth-generation vertical NAND (V-NAND) was successfully produced by Samsung Electronics, a global leader in advanced memory technology, the company stated today. The AM9C1 auto SSD is the finest choice for on-device AI capabilities in automotive applications because it provides better endurance and industry-leading performance.
The new 256GB auto SSD will provide sequential read and write rates of up to 4,400 megabytes-per-second (MB/s) and 400MB/s, respectively, with around 50% better power efficiency than its predecessor, AM991.
“By offering high-performance, high-capacity automotive products, Samsung collaborating with global autonomous vehicle makers,” stated Hyunduk Cho, Vice President and Head of Automotive Group at Samsung Electronics’ Memory Business. Samsung will maintain its position as the industry leader in Physical AI memory, which includes robotics and autonomous driving technology.
With its single-level cell (SLC) Namespace feature and built on Samsung’s 5-nanometer (nm) controller, the AM9C1 exhibits excellent performance, making files containing large amounts of data easy to access. Users can take advantage of the increased read and write speeds of up to 4,700MB/s and 1,400MB/s, respectively, by transitioning from the original triple-level cell (TLC) state to SLC mode. Additionally, SLC SSDs offer increased dependability.
With important partners, the 256GB AM9C1 is already undergoing sampling, and by year’s end, mass production is anticipated to start. As the market for high-capacity automotive SSDs continues to grow, Samsung intends to release several storage lineups of the AM9C1, with capacities ranging from 128GB to 2 terabytes (TB). Early in the following year, the largest 2TB model in the industry is expected to go into mass production.
Samsung’s new automotive SSD product meets the automotive semiconductor quality standard AEC-Q100 Grade 2 with more rigorous board-level testing, guaranteeing consistent performance throughout a broad temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.
Samsung also uses a number of quality assurance procedures to make sure that its products meet the strict durability and stability requirements of the automobile industry. With its UFS 3.1 software, the business obtained ASPICE Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination CL3 authentication in March of this year.
Samsung will work to maintain and improve its automotive products’ technological stability to achieve ISO/SAE 21434-based CSMS certification.
The ISO/SAE 21434 and ASPICE certifications, according to Hwaseok Oh, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Memory Business, “are milestones that affirm the reliability and stability of Samsung technology.” “Samsung will keep improving the quality and stability of its products, giving important partners the best option.”

friday media review: fish rising by steve hillage and remnants of the gong band: five out of five loaves and fishes
i'm going to start doing non-book reviews every friday! here is our first.
after the underrated but top-level psychedelic band gong broke up, the remnants of the band -- almost the whole line-up, minus lyricist and singer daevid allen -- joined steve hillage, the band's guitarist, for his debut solo album. it's the gong band members at peak, on par with their 1974 masterpiece "you". hillage composed a landmark album in progressive rock and conveyed a genuine spiritual message with his songs.
the guitar is uplifting and joyful, and the backup band is as rich as a symphony. waves of sunshine roll out of your speakers and glissando riffs bathe you with rainbows. it's an amazingly positive experience. there are playful little tracks and soaring suites, plus the rejoicing riff-filled blast "the salmon song". the backing band include playful reeds from didier malherbe and synth from hawkwind alum tim blake.
this album is on par with the best psychedelic and progressive rock albums of the seventies. although it's hard for me to compare it to other albums because it's so qualitatively different with its sunshine glissandos and rainbow riffs, you can put it on the same shelf as gong's "you," king crimson's "larks' tongues in aspic," magma's "mekanik destruktiw kommandoh," and pink floyd's "dark side of the moon". get yourself this album.

7-Up Cheese Aspic – A Mid-Century Gelatin Test
Tumblr media
From You're Really Cooking When You're Cooking With 7-Up, 1957
Tumblr media
Tom: Okay. This isn’t too bad. Party Guest: Nope. I’m out. This tastes wrong. Party Guest 2: Gross. Party Guest 3: This…tastes like my past. I kind of like it. Party Guest 4: This is not right. Party Guest 5: I like it! This is really good! Party Guest 5’s Husband: This is really good. Carolyn: I’m not eating that. I can’t get the smell of it off my hands.
The Verdict:
It was sweet, fizzy and salty. It tasted like onion in lime gelatin with a fizzy aftertaste. I could be dramatic say it was wrong on so many levels, but the only level I was totally put off by was the freaking onion. Raw onion in gelatin is just “no” for me. I’ve never been able to get over it. Tom suggested that the olives were essential to make it edible. Most party guests were just scared of it. Other party guests loved it. It was completely eaten by the rest of the night (whatever hadn’t turned into a pile of melted lime-onion goo), so they must have been telling the truth. I couldn’t taste the “good” part, but I’m not a big fan of onion. Maybe if I loved onion as much as I love…let’s say, pickles, maybe it would have been better. So I guess if you make this one depends on how much you like onion. And how much you like the smell of onion and lime-gelatin sticking to your hands.
