The firefly one??? Is okay??? It doesn’t really look lika Aled’s art but idfc (I do, I really do but I gotta go to sleep)

Boots are a bit stiff but what can you do. I wanted to get some fanart out there so I can practice drawing the boy a little more later

i know there are already posts about it but it's so cute how most of the companions are kind of apathetic about each other in act 1 but when elminster shows up and gives gale his ultimatum everyone is like. hold the FUCK up. his goddess sounds like shit and gale can do better. shadowheart and lae'zel have their first agreement over it and it's "wow i can't imagine what it must be like to serve a goddess who sucks so bad :/ he should leave her before he wastes himself trying to earn her favor" CAN YOU HEAR YOURSELVES. mystra's real magic was getting this crew of merry assholes (and wyll and karlach) to unite as a Save Gale Dekarios committee

“Philippe!” Christine cried, standing up to embrace him. He beamed at her and returned the gesture, then pulled away and looked her up and down, his grin wide.  “You’ve grown into a fine young woman, Christine,” he said, smiling at her, and she looked down modestly, making him chuckle as he kissed the back of her hand gently. 

FORGET-ME-NOTS

He stared down at the flowers and petals on his blanket and let out a shaky exhale. Now that there was more light, he could see that they weren’t just any type of flower like he had earlier assumed. They were instead a very specific type of flower: forget-me-nots. 

SING

Beside him Christine suddenly started singing quietly to herself. A quick glance showed him that her eyes were closed now, though she was clearly still awake. Shutting his eyes with more determination this time, he let his wife’s singing guide him to sleep, forcing himself not to think about where this sudden desire to sing had come from and focusing on her wonderful voice instead. His eyes still closed, he reached out a hand and placed it on top of hers, caressing her fingers until he fell asleep. It was almost just enough for him to pretend that the doubts and memories weren’t haunting his mind. Almost. 

MORNING

It was the morning of Christmas Eve, and Christine and her angel were finishing their final lesson before taking a break for Christmas.  “You did wonderfully today, Christine,” her angel said, his gentle voice sounding proud. “Any angel would weep at the sound of your voice.” “Thank you, Angel,” Christine responded, as she put her sheet music away. “You know how grateful I am for you.” “And I of you,” the voice responded. Christine smiled.

not to be like “i miss college” even though i do but mostly i think i miss being smart. before depression and life events had chewed up and partially swallowed my brain. just getting to problem solve and think, being Very Into something as the norm. i know being an english major is basically the easiest thing you can be at the undergrad level but i do feel like that was the one and only time in my life where my natural state was actually a pro instead of a con. i graduated with the highest honors and absolutely no one cared but i cared
