Putting Things In Order - Writing

So I'm trying to get organized with my stuff here on tumblr so I've created this side blog for me to post my own writing to. I'll still be posting my writing on my main blog as well but this way I can keep better track of things and if anyone wants to follow me to see my writing but would rather not have to sift through the evergrowing sea of reblogs of just about everything under the sun that my main blog has become, they can follow this one instead. To start I'll be gathering up all the wriiting (poetry and otherwise) I've already posted over on main and reposting it here. Once I get all that caught up I'll start posting new stuff.

So one of the characters in my Hunters of Shadows project is this girl with a water affinity. Her twin brother has a wind affinity. I am tentatively calling her Ara for the moment but we'll see if that sticks.

Fanfiction Ideas/WIP

Just a scene from a larger fic idea I had. It's a three way crossover and definitely on the AU side of things for at least two of the fandoms. Only two of the three fandoms are present in this scene though. At least at moment. Note: The weird giberish dialogue between Jack and Kid is just placeholder for what they'll actually say once I figure out what that will be.

     Jack didn't know exactly what compelled him to do what he did next or even what it really was he was doing, but he had an overwhelming sense that he needed to do it and that it had weight. Spurred by this strange and intense feeling of importance Jack reached out a hand towards Kid. Speaking mostly on instinct he said "I'd like to make an oath."

     Kid stares at Jack's outstretched hand a moment before looking up to meet Jack's eyes. His expression is serious and Jack suspects the young Grim Reaper might know a bit more about what the winter spirit is offering than Jack himself does.

     Jack feels the overbearing sense of significance and gravity again- feels the power that seeps into his voice as he speaks. "Give in equal measure and let hearing never fail." At these words Kid raises his own hand, but makes no move forward to grasp the winter spirit's still outstretched one. Jack's magic continues to swell with each word.

     "Yltayol," he continues.      "Yltayol," Kid repeats.      "Sthi atoh lahsl dibn."      "Sthi atoh lahsl dibn."      "Yltayol kobern uro resco duwnni."      "Yltayol kobern uro resco duwnni."

     As soon as Kid finishes the last line almost as one they grasp each others wrists. Immediately, glowing blue and shadowy black tendrils swarm up from their joined hands and over the length of their arms. More black than blue moves toward Jack just as the opposite heads toward Kid. Jack vaguely notes how everyone around them jumps back at the sudden light show, but his focus remains solidly on Kid's equally intense glowing golden eyes. The jolt Jack gets from the magical tendrils trailing up and tightening around their arms has an odd note of familiarity that he can't quite place. Just as the constriction becomes almost to much to bear the tendrils snap back to the center of their wrists and disappear entirely. Jack feels a weird sense of loss as they let go of each other's wrists. However, it disappears just as quickly as the magic light show just did. In it's place is a feeling of connectedness to... something. Jack is reminded of that twinge of familiarity he felt before.

     A heavy hand on Jack's shoulder pulling him back breaks him from the trance like stare he'd been holding with Death the Kid. He looks up behind him and furrows his brow at the overly concerned and wary emotions he sees in North's eyes. Then the events of the past few moments catches up to him. Jack is still baffled but now at the fact that he isn't more alarmed at this development himself. The two of them must have made a fairly unnerving picture just now. And Jack isn't any more sure of what exactly he just initiated with the child reaper than he was when he first opened his mouth to start it. Whatever it was.

     "The heck you mean to do with Jack you bloody demon spawn!" Jack whipped back around to see Bunny, boomerang at the ready, lunging at Kid.

     "Bunny stop!" Tooth had flown over and placed herself between Bunnymund and Kid just as the sisters leapt into the reaper's hands to defend him. Bunny clearly wasn't pleased at all with the interference but didn't try to push past Tooth. He instead opted to lean around her to glare murderously at the meister-weapon trio behind her. Jack felt a moment of relief before Tooth rounded on Kid herself stopping with only inches between her face and the boy's. Tooth's eyes narrow to mere slits. "What are you playing at Old Immortal?"

     Kid- whose stance and expression had seemingly relaxed back into the almost bored countenance from earlier at the interuption- only raised a sardonic eyebrow in reaction.

     "Well?" Tooth demanded.
