it’d  been  nearly  five  days.  five  days  with  nanamin  ,  filling  his  time  with  mundane  activities  like  completing  homework , indulging  in  manga , and  spending  hours  watching  tv. to  put  it  mildly , the  days  were  rather  dull. each  passing  day , he  inquired  about  his  father’s  return , a  question  that  seemed  to  echo  daily. yuji  sent  messages  and  updates  daily  just  to  let  him  know  that  everything  was  okay  and  he  was  managing  pretty  well.  at  just  twelve  years  old  he  felt  reasonably  confident  in  his  ability  to  handle  things  alone , only  to  be  met  with  a  resolute  “ no ”  to  that  idea.  

but  today  was  the  day.  he’d  finished  everything  that  needed  to  be  done.  even  managed  to  clean  up his  room  and  it  was  practically  spotless.  even  now  he  couldn’t  focus  on  the  manga  in  his  hands  as  he  waited. when  the  faint  sound  of  the  door  unlocking  reached  his  ears , he  abandoned  what he was reading  and  sprinted  down  the  stairs , leaping  two  steps  at  a  time.  eyes  were  wide  with  excitement  as  the  door  flung  open. 

❛❛  dad !  ❜❜  the  boy  practically  flung  himself  into  the  others  arms  ,  holding  tight  for  more  than  a  few  moments.  it  hadn’t  been  a  long  trip  but  that  didn’t  make  him  any  less  excited.  when  he  finally  pulled  back , a  broad  smile  adorned  his  face.  ❛❛  how  was  the  trip ?  did  you  bring  me  something ?  ❜❜  itadori  fired  off  a  series  of  questions , one  after  the  other , barely  pausing  for  breath  before  his  father  even  had  the  chance  to  step  fully  through  the  door. / @nvictive

Prior to him becoming a knight, Dan Heng was a crowned prince for a draconic kingdom. His 'father' Dan Feng was the crowned king of the kingdom and his sister Bailu was the crowned princess. A month after Dan Heng's 23rd birthday, their kingdom was attacked and killed Dan Feng. Unsure of the reasoning behind the attack, he and Bailu were able to escape and remain in hiding.

In order to keep their identities secret, Dan Heng placed a spell on both of them to look like humans. Which made it a bit easier for him to find a job as a guard and for him to provide for the both of them.

Due to his skilled fighting abilities, Dan Hen had been given the opportunity to train as a knight.

Now at the age of 25, Dan Heng is known as one of the best knights in his division. He had been given the opportunity to be the prince/princess's personal knight but turned down the opportunity. Only for the sake of his sister.

The "party" Bill's referring to is Weirdmageddon, of course. He was quite the ashhole to everyone back then.

Ford has probably gotten pretty good at the 'tune out your psychopathic ex with dank memes' challenge.

It must be very cathartic to be able to make Bill shut up whenever you want with just the press of a button. I'm sure Ford doesn't abuse this ability at all.

Oh, sure, 'Not now,' he says, before he immediately backs out of the newly-made hole in the Theraprism wall. 🙄

Why is Ford even there, you might ask? Well, he either decided he preferred to watch Bill suffer in person over being distantly and repeatedly harassed with the same evil desperation book for the rest of his life, or he got roped into some kind of contrived community service for 1.) all his many counts of interdimensional thievery, and 2.) his ignoring all the very clear warnings to NOT summon Bill in the first place (which I like to imagine is also illegal). Theraprism staff were just like, 'Wait, this guy matters to Bill? Ooh, we can USE that! It might be the only thing that can help him want to get better!' It is not considered that throwing Ford at Bill so soon after Weirdmageddon could instead make them both WORSE - in new and altogether special ways! :D

Anyway, I'm calling it the Community Service AU, and I am most likely not going to do anything else with it beyond appropriating these silly Good Place jokes. So, feel free to adopt the concept if y'all wanna??? Just make sure that Bill is still not allowed to swear, no matter what, full stop. It's gotta be a real linguistic corkblork of a situation for him, is all I'm sayin'.

everything  was  still  so  fresh  on  his  mind  ,  scars  that  would  never  heal  and  memories  that’d  always  remain  strong.  it  wasn’t  so  bad. we  are  jujutsu  sorcerers. you’re  me.  the  words  echo  in  his  mind  like  an  ache  he  couldn’t  get  rid  of.  permanently  attached  but  it  seemed  to  be  the  only  thing  fueling  him  now.  he  was  alive  by  some  chance  ,  he  wasn’t  dead  yet.  maybe  he  should  be  —  that  split  second  of  relief  he’d  felt  when the blade went through him.  he  needed  to  keep  fighting  though  ,  did  he  not ?  he’s  just  a  cog  in  the  machine  and  nothing  more.  a  vessel  that  needs  to  serve  a  purpose.  it  was  selfish  of  him  to  think  he’d  get  such  an  easy  way  out  of  this.  

he  had  so  much  to  do  ,  so  many  lives  left  to  fight  for.  he  needed  to  do  this  for  nobara  and  for  papamin  who  ,  from  what  he  knew  ,  was  barely  hanging  on.  he  hadn’t  seen  him  since  it  happened.  he  was  already  a  murderer.  that  much  is  true.  but  he  couldn’t  let  himself  be  any  more  of  a  failure  than  he  already  was. eyes  come  into  focus  and  he  stares  at  the  fire  before  him.  he  was  still  wearing  the  same  blood  stained  shirt  but  his  jacket  was  off.  absently  he  scratches  at  his  arm  when  he  hears  the  other  speak.
