JL: I'm trying to use my condescending voice [Dan and audience laughter] in my responses. I'm really.. cultivating. because you know nothing about They Might Be Giants [Dan chuckles], I should tell you, (laughing) we're actually nice people in person. [audience laughter and applause] but we're playing.. jerks on this show. [Ophira laughs]

JF: you kinda got to get to know us a little bit better.

Ophira: Dan is challenging you, though. he's saying it--

JL: -- I'm just rea- I--

Ophira: -- it's mostly tundra--

JL: -- I have no idea! I'm just reading a piece of paper [loud audience laughter].

Dan: alright!

JL: that says [audience applause] that Antarctica qualifies as a desert. that's w- it says it here.

Felt like doing a little animated skit about what would happen if my previous comfort character (The Snatcher btw) caught me fixating on Mr. Puzzles (my current source of joy and comfort obviously). I think this is how the conversation would go. Took three days to complete! :3

Possibly hot take but it fills me with incandescent rage when, on a podcast, the hosts are like "for those of you who are listening" because they're doing a visual bit. For those of us who are listening? To a podcast? An audio medium?!!!!

Pair this with some podcasts that will release video only episodes on their Patreon or whatever. Stop it! My eyes are busy most of the day. I need something for my ears. Your faces are cute but ultimately you are just sitting at a table or, worse, two separate video boxes. Make a fucking podcast!

If you want to make videos go be YouTubers so I know not to subscribe to your content because I don't watch YouTube. Don't trick me with your audiocontent then make me feel second class because you pivoted to video and I will not follow you there.

So, it looks like someone beat me to getting all the songs remade in Heaven Studio XP, but I still think it's cool to see someone else's take on it~ (The thumbnail art goes so hard~)

And with Heaven Studio sniped off the web, and thus probably putting a halt on updates for the foreseeable future, I probably won't be finishing my mixes anytime soon since they depended on games that weren't implemented yet.

So, if I ever want to finish my own project, I'm probably gonna have to suck it up and swap out more of the games.

*sigh* Vs. 1010 just isn't gonna be the same without Freeze Frame...

heads up: this one’s kinda long ehe

so like, idk if any of you watched avatar the last air bender or legends of korra but for those who didn’t they’re basically series about people with different elemental powers like fire, earth, air and water. in legend of korra (the sequel to the last airbender) the main villain of the first season is a man named amon who has the ability to take away benders abilities to use their powers permanently. so while rewatching the new villain ep for like the 100th time and re hearing that the cargo was a bio-scientist i was like “hey, wouldn’t it be silly if that bio-scientist had somehow developed a way to take powers away from magic users permanently and the corporation would plan to use it as their weapon of choice in the war, take those ex-magic users, brainwash them, and force them to live like normal civilians or make them work as mindless slaves and completely eradicate all magic from existence foR thE betTermenT oF maNkInd and allat?”

but also i think that would be too merciful for the cooperation anyways and they would just opt to killing tbh

also i really did not anticipatw the way my boredom would manifest on the road trip. so sorry to everyone who gave me music suggestions, they were all good but it was hard to not go insane with songs that i dont recognize and couldnt sing along to. i’ll have to check most of them our when i can actually sit down with them and focus. so ironically i actually had to turn to story driven media. i listened to a few musicals and then by the halfway point of my return back i actually started to listen to my very first ever podcast and yknow what it fucking worked. shoulda been podcasting the whole way
