Friendly reminder that when you ask your mechanic to top off your fluids during an oil change (especially your coolant) they might not be.

I nearly had my car get fucked because I trusted my mechanics to top off my coolant or at least let me know if it was looking low, because I always SPECIFICALLY ASK THEM to do so.

As the cool season crept in I noticed my heat wasn't working. My car's heating system relies on coolant to move things along. I checked under the hood and sure enough it was almost bone dry.

That bitch was THORSTY!

My car takes a very specific type of coolant so I was able to buy it (prediluted) for $17 instead of the $70 to have the mechanic just LOOK.

LEARN THE BASICS OF YOUR CAR AND DON'T GET SCREWED OVER. Learning where your coolant reservoir is, your oil dipstick and what it should look like could save you from getting a cracked engine block from overheating.

NEVER PUT COOLANT IN YOUR CAR WHILE IT'S HOT. If you can't touch the top of your engine block, don't put coolant in yet. I just chilled in my car on my phone for 2 hours (thanks TikTok & Tumblr).

Here are the other two members of the Hurricane Brigade, Fuwawa and Bashasha. Like Biriri, they are former Keron Army lab test subjects used for their unique abilities; under the impression that Biriri had successfully fled the lab rather than being displaced, Fuwawa and Bashasha teamed up to escape as well, taking an escape pod to Pekopon. They both sought out Biriri in order to thank her for her bravery and join her adventures... Though after realizing Biriri A.) did not escape the lab, and B.) is an idiot, they still decided to befriend her and join her exploration of the planet.

Fuwawa (she/her) is a master of the skies. Her powers include cloud and wind manipulation alongside flight, though much like Biriri's battery gauge, she can't endlessly produce clouds or fierce gusts. She's observant and by far the cleverest of the three, often the one to get the brigade out of sticky situations; however, because she doesn't talk much, this is usually done by inadvertently manipulating others to meet the conditions she deems necessary. Fuwawa finds Biriri's idiocy adorable and often shows them affection for it.

Bashasha (they/it) is a broody Maronian who can summon and manipulate rains with razor-sharp raindrops. It's a little bitter about being treated the worst of the three back at the Keron Army lab (essentially as a prisoner); the cuffs on its limbs are its actual prison cuffs painted over and with spikes added as a way of reclaiming them. Despite their brooding exterior, Bashasha has an unusual soft spot for virtual pets (but not real ones, for some reason) and will happily spoil and take care of them. They have a fascination with knives due to their sharpness.

Slowly inching my way through the trigun manga now that I have them.

Personally I think Wolfwood being hit by the car in the middle of the desert where there was literally nothing else to hit around is the most hilarious introduction but the manga is pretty funny too.

Like, they pick up that pathetic, almost dying dude in the middle of nowhere. He plays nice with vash, compliments him, and genuinely likes kids. His priesthood is a little questionable. Once they reach a city that should be buzzing with life but is suspiciously quiet he’s just like�� well, see ya! And off he goes.

Actually now that I type it out it strikes me as even funnier. Legato mentioned before that chapel wasn’t there and Wolfwood said his bike broke down. Because of the 98 anime and especially stampede I sort of assumed that their first meeting wasn’t all that much by chance but a ploy to befriend vash and all. Put that now sounds like Wolfwood actually meant to be at the meeting but his bike broke down and he actually almost died in the desert and it was genuine coincident that he was spotted by vash.

which in turn makes me wonder how much this chance meeting influenced Wolfwood. Like in trimax he recognized vash immediately. He knows who he is but still Wolfwood meets him naturally with no real strings attached or however you wanna describe it. Did it impact Wolfwood in a way that meeting vash only after he was set to be his guide would not?

Dillon has fallen down a rabbit hole of nihilism as he realised joining the SS essentially ruined his teen years and his life and his relationships. Nate is an anxiety ridden mess who basically resigned as Agent 4 as he deeply regrets doing what he did. Jaime tries to see the best in things and to appreciate her life on the surface, but she also has great distance between her and the NSS and really, really dislikes Dillon. Boro is Boro
