Wearing Zoologist Camel today, and wishing for an excursion into a desert far far away. I'm ready for the dunes, the heat, spices, animal funk, smoke... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This perfume that has a cat pee opening that, thankfully, disappears on my skin. What I get is a zingy almost tamarind-like pulpy opening, date cake, a bit of rose that wafts in and out, orange blossom, and a gorgeous dry down of warm vanilla, almondy-tonka, dry incense. Scent of the day – Bentley for Men Absolute 🖤🍁🍂 Loved wearing it today at uni, even though it’s a men’s cologne. Beautiful scent with a lot of stunning woody and smokey notes – I wish these were used more in women’s fragrances. I love the powerful and mysterious church-in-the-woods vibe it gives off. Somehow I’m also getting a slight sweet note, like smokey vanilla, but it’s not listed anywhere. I used to do this thing where I hid my favourite perfumes from myself if I felt that I was using them up too quickly. Kind of like how people hide cookies or candy from themselves so they don't eat it all, but with perfume. Anyway, I said used to, because I definitely don't do that anymore. Spicy Kenzo Jungle. It’s that spicy Christmas candle at the back of your cabinet, it’s the potted fake pines at Homesense, it’s the office of your coworker with the jangly Rudolph earrings. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is one I’ve been saving for cooler weather, but I still don’t think it’s cool enough outside.
