Ava and Adriel are NOT cooperating. I'm writing Ch 2 of And the Sea became Blood. It's meant to be Enemies to Lovers (aka Villain annoys Heroine until she falls in love with him), so they're supposed to lock horns, but they're being civil. For fuck's sake, they're at some party, discussing how neither knew their dad. What is happening here.

Also, I'm not sure what's more scandalous - the fact that Archangel Michael will fall in love with the Antichrist, or the fact that she's bordering on functional alcoholism... She's having a hard time, let her be.

In S1 Ep. 10, Ava should have kissed Adriel. Not because the show would ever intend a romantic arc, or because I ship them. Just for us to witness Mary's reaction, after she blows up the wall, and finds Ava in a liplock with a yet another dude she just met. This time, in a dungeon. Where he spent a thousand years, locked up for suspicious reasons.

This photo makes me think of Ava falling asleep on the sofa, and Adriel finding her.

A small smile appears on his lips, his gaze becoming tender. Exhaustion did catch up to her, at last... His beloved had been pushing herself mercilessly, in every regard, but her studies especially. Even now, she slept with her arm around a copy of the Aeneid. The original text. One could only adore her zeal.

He lets out a sigh. Warmth washes over his chest, as he stares at Ava's face. She looks so sweet, and peaceful. Her lashes are fluttering ever so slightly. Whatever could she be dreaming of?.. Adriel pulls a throw blanket over her, hoping the warm fur would guard her sleep, and kneels down beside her.

"Rest, my beauty" he whispers, leaning down to kiss her temple.

She grumbles, and stirs.

"Ah... I'm sorry."

One eye half-open, Ava lazily reaches for his hand.

"Kiss me" she murmurs.

His smile widening, he bends down again, this time pressing his lips to hers.
