Daily reminder that fic writers work for free, yes every fic writer, the fic writer with bad grammar, the fic writer that writes characters ooc sometimes, the fic writer that takes awhile to update their works, the fic writer that has a different headcanon to you, they all work for free, they put out works for themselves and give them to you to read FOR FREE, so do not complain about something they wrote jfc, don't like don't read applies to everything not just kinks or dead doves ok EVERYTHING, don't like that Steve cries in this fic MOVE ON, don't like that Eddie is bi in this one MOVE THE FUCK ON, don't like that Steve is a bitch or Eddie is too ok with hard drugs JUST DON'T READ IT, the beauty of a large ship is that their truly is something for everyone NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO READ IT, and if you truly can't find anything you like write it yourself so maybe you can understand that it's not easy being a fic writer ok.

Whatever it is, I hope you're gonna have the best day ever starting now. I've missed chatting with everyone one here (I just lurk around and reblog stuff lol). And BEFORE you start asking, "B, what the frick frack snick snack. We were promised chapters. Part 2's and juicy goodness."

You're right. You were. You'll probably get them eventually. BUT.

I've come to explain myself ☺️

For the past seven months, I've been planning and writing and scrapping and starting all over again and again because thanks to you guys, your support and the amazing support of my hoosband and family/friends, I'm chasing the craziest dream ever.

I'm writing a book.

I'M WRITING IT. RIGHT NOW. It's like two tabs over, in all its glorious, rough-draft, unfinished glory.

Like, a book that gets published and sits on shelves and has a picture of me cheesin on the jacket.

SO, the moral of the story is that, yes, I have been writing, but it's been like 350 pages of scraps (literally wish that I was joking about the sheer amount) and worldbuilding and having the most fun ever trying to figure this crap out.

I haven't been writing a ton of Tumblr stuff :( but that doesn't mean I'm done with it. I have drafts of chapters just hanging out, but that's not the focus right now (understandably).

Just wanted to inform you all because 1) I love you and 2) you're a huge reason for this. I know I have a lot to learn and I'm going to be in for a LONG ride - if this ever gets picked up by anyone, which there's a very strong chance that it won't. For now, I'm working on draft 1 and loving my life because I'm right where I belong.

For those of you that have read this far (so sorry is so long, I'm listening to "Cold Blooded" by Jessi and she's just giving me all the hype I need to write for dayssss), here's a few little facts about the book.

It's based off of HTSS *screaming*

Set in a brand new world

Our cast of characters has EVOLVED into a beautiful array of male and female characters (i.e. Jimin's character is a fabulous, well-connected girl from a country based off of India and the sass is lifeblood for me)

I've learned more about what matters to me this year as I've written about themes of family, found-family, and self-reliance and it's been kinda hard ngl

Honestly feeling like I need a rant so here we go-

I got on tumblr at the age of like 14. It's when I created the blog and wasn't just googling and finding things through random other websites. I was a halsey and tøp stan and was just discovering the tiniest bits of myself. With that being said I barely entered into the 1975 scene. I knew robbers. F*ckin sobbed to that song when I had my mini panic attacks alone in my room and I knew their hits and had heard the others. The songs seemed to just come up when I needed them and I vividly remember standing in an urban outfitters with my cousin and starring down the iliwys album (shout @morganonline ) and then listening to some of it to the point I knew the words. Robbers is one of my all time favorite songs both because at 14 I was making up my own words relative to what life was like growing up on the young end of 2014 tumblr gen but also because I've always been a film kid and their sort of coming of age essence kept me in line.

These people on tik tok are f*ckin vicious. Like no I hadn't know matty healy because I was small and stayed on the side of Halsey being Halsey not Halsey and matty but to see THESE ADULTS TEAR DOWN THESE YOUNG FANS DISCOVERING THEM LIKE WHAT!!! I'm turning 22 in 10 days. I just barely saw Halsey live. I've still never seen half the bands from that era that have made me who I am, including the 1975 but imagine if you went online and told your 14 year old self you couldn't go to a show and barricade because you only just discovered them? The very foundation of the 1975 is based on adolescence and learning and growing and you're out here telling young and new fans they can't experience that because you're angry about a ticket price (from resellers) or the way in which other young humans are crushing on matty lol. Like imagine ripping a role model away from some one (literally a climate change activist and someone open about recovering from addiction- not to make him out to be an angel cause obvi he isn't but like) because youre thinking your in competition with a 14 year old for a man whos famous and also thirty freaking three???

Something similar has been happening with that precious human opening for Taylor swift where swifties are literally BULLYING and shit talking (I think the person's name is) Gayle. Like wait taylor swifts agenda for the past few years has been to not tear other women down and to take back stolen grace but yall are gonna BASH A YOUNG ARTIST BRAVE ENOUGH TO SHARE THEIR WORK.

Idk. Like chill. Let young people be young people.

this country is the absolute fucking worst, ive been trying to get unemployment since december and i just got a letter saying im not being approved because i didnt have a valid reason to leave my job....

I. Am. Disabled. i left my job because it was aggravating my disability, theres a paper trail of my resignation, multiple doctors notes requesting accomodations, incident reports from collapsing when those accomodations were denied followed by my 2 weeks notice, but yea sure i left for no good reason

Quite frankly, the prank pissed me off. I wasn’t fond of the 3x09 one either. You’re correct that it was affection when Tim was looking at Lucy when he was talking to Ashley.

I’m going to go on a rant about Ashley since you asked how can she not see that. Not directed at you anon just to be clear ❤️. I’m just irritated at the TimAshley thing in general.

Ashley irritates the crap out of me. She’s bland, boring, has absolutely no chemistry with Tim and the “relationship” (I’m more apt to call it a fling), is so superficial it isn’t even funny at this point.

I question if she has any self respect. She went behind Tim’s back to call Lucy about Kojo. She barely knew Lucy!! Yet, she didn’t trust Tim enough to ask him even though he’s her boyfriend.

The double date in 4x12 would have been enough to make ANY rational human bounce. That was plain as day what she was seeing. Yet, she stays. Why I have no clue.

Then, we get to last nights episode. Tim HATES the beach and he said as such in 4x12. Yet, he’s going to Hawaii with Ashley (a place that has a ton of beaches and a ton of open water). That doesn’t make sense. Tim mentioned Lucy I don’t know how many times to Ashley when he was talking to her. If he does it that much when he’s aware of it, I’m willing to bet that Ashley hears Lucy’s name a ton when Tim isn’t aware he’s doing it. Again, any smart human would pick up on that “Hey, my boyfriend might have feelings for another woman” thought. The fact that she didn’t even stop to consider “is this prank harmful or is this necessary to do to Lucy” bothers me. She doesn’t even know Lucy that well! Generally, people consider how their actions impact others. She just went along with Tim’s prank without even questioning it. That doesn’t sit right.

I seriously have no clue how they’re together. I’m baffled how she doesn’t pick up on ANY of this. It’s plain as day. But, at least we have an expiration period now. Last night was the beginning of the end and they’re sunk. Ashley certainly doesn’t want what Tim wants. That’s out in the open now and Tim was rattled.

See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.

It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.

Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.

If you want more of something, reblog it.

Do you ever just realize what time it is? Like you're doing your things, check the time, and you're like, oh crap what? For example rn I'm baking, and when I bake I eat dinner around lunch time. Since I wake up earlier. So today I woke up at 4. Usually I have breakfast around 8-9ish

And I had lunch when I usually have breakfast and I had dinner when I have lunch. So my whole schedule is earlier than usual and I didn't realize and my subconscious thought it was later in the day since I had already eaten dinner.

i hate a lot of things about america but the thing i hate the most i think is that we claim to be a place where everyone is free to come here and do what they want and be who they are and share their culture and mix and blend together and come together because we are free to do so and its all a lie, we are not free here

"but we can speak out against the government without fear of prosecution" are you paying attention? people are incarcerated and even killed for peaceful protests here, speaking out against the government puts a target on your back, sure you can tweet the president to suck your balls and thats fun and good but if we cant protest the government thats not freedom thats a police state

if peaceful protests are repeatedly met with police in riot gear, innocent people disappearing after being taken away by police, protesters being arrested and/or shot at then we are not a free country

if BIPOC are consistently criminalised and targeted by police & government policies then we are not free

if people do not have access to healthcare (INCLUDING abortions, birth control, tampons, etc.) then we are not free

if it is illegal to be transgender or queer in any way then we are not free

if intersex babies are allowed to be mutilated at birth (especially without telling the parents) to fit the sex binary we made up then we are not free

if certain religions are targeted and crimilaised then we are not free

the biggest lie americans are told is that this is the epitome of freedom, that no country is as free as we are here. the government smiles and tells other countries that their lives would be so much better here (probably because their home country is being destroyed by our military) and then punishes anyone who dares actually seek asylum here and tries to deport them every and any chance they get - unless they're white and christian
