Alright (ha), as promised: gothcleats time!

Honestly? I don't mind it! I think there's a lot of fun parallels and intertwining themes to be found in their extant relationship, and I definitely enjoy looking at the cute fanart I've seen of them on occasion. I probably would ship it if my lesbian Scary hc wasn't so real to me! I would absolutely adore seeing them in a qpr though - I actually really like the idea of the teens all being in a qpr together. Nobody comes between Scary and her boys 😤😤😤 Nonetheless, Link and Scary have such an interesting dynamic and I feel like it's very much been a highlight over the past few episodes - I mean, Link breaking the anchor of love as an act of solidarity with Scary? Link refusing to let Scary go even as she Eldritch Blasts him? The genuine fear in Scary's voice when she thinks she might've killed Link??? It's so much, truly it is. I'm SO excited for whatever Matt and Beth have planned with their characters going forward, and while it's not my personal cup of tea romantically, I truly do love the gothcleats relationship!

Okay next up: Hencedes!

HENCEDES T4T BI4BI COUPLE OF ALL TIME!!!! NON-NEGOTIABLE!!! They are truly so much if I think about them too hard I will start crying!!! Everything about them is so fucking sweet and lovely and truly. Relationship goals fr!!! They're so strange and bizarre separately and even MORE strange and bizarre together and their devotion to each other is so so so very precious to me. Like. Their story makes me so unhinged actually I am so glad they exist. Mercedes really truly takes all of Henry's oddities in stride and he does the same for her,,, their cute little nicknames for each other,,, they would lay down their lives for each other without a second thought and I love them so much for that. I want nothing but happiness for them forever and ever and ever ok (looks pointedly at the current state of s2). I am a Hencedes stan first and a person second thank you <333

Okok next: Glennry!

In case you haven't realized. *Slaps "HUGE MULTISHIPPER" sticker on my forehead* like yourself, Baba, I also contain multitudes 😌 Anyway Glennry is SO fun to rotate around in my head, personally. I think they could learn quite a bit from each other as partners - with Glenn, Henry could get a bit more in touch with his rebellious side, and Henry could help Glenn in his struggles with emotional vulnerability. Their friendship works well as is in canon, obviously (well, s1 canon since we're not entirely sure what's going on with s2 Henry yet), but the potential of them as romantic partners is so great and so fun! They should kiss. For funsies. At least to piss off Bear Ry'Oak, if anything else <3

Up next: Sparrow/Nicky (/Spark/lovesong/highjinx/whatever other fun names exist for these two)!

And if I told you Spark was my latest obsession. What then. Literally I have been losing my mind over them for the past few days (thanks Nyx and Ivy <3) and I show no signs of regaining normalcy anytime soon!!! I just think there is SO much potential for exploring a romantic relationship between the two of them - or even something like a qpr, if you wanna go the Sparoace route! Literally could not get to sleep last night because I was thinking about them so hard. Similarly to Oakworthy, both Nick and Sparrow have such deep-seated issues regarding identity - Sparrow seems to define himself by being half of a matched set and doesn't really let himself be anything other than the Sparrow part of Lark-and-Sparrow. Nicky, of course, has. Gestures at the entire latter half of s1. And I think that if anyone can understand what either of them are going through, it's each other - and maybe they can just exist together. Without labels or expectations - not Nicholas, Jodie's son, or Sparrow, the more stable twin, or Nick, Glenn's son - just being Nicky and Sparrow and maybe also being in love. I also just think the imagery of it is wonderful - druid and demon, summer and winter, life and death, plant life and fire. Real Hades-and-Persephone type shit, which I personally love to see!

And lastly, finally, Nark!

So sorry to all the Nark stans out there but Sparrow/Nick has so thoroughly taken over my brain. I do love the idea of this ship - not only the aesthetics (hehe the demonic savior and the fallen angel), but the tragedy of it all - how the love may have been there, and in another world it may have been enough, but that world isn't this one. I have read many a Nark fic and I'd be hard-pressed to find one I didn't like, but it's not my go-to ship, personally. On another note, though, I do think Nark has some hilarious comedic potential as well - especially when paired with other ships like Sparrow/Cassandra (thank you tumblr user llumimoon for that particular piece of fanart - you know the one, I'm pretty sure you still have it pinned, Baba). But yeah! Fun ship - not my personal fave, but one that's very, very neat to pick apart and analyze!

Annnnnnnd I think that about wraps up my thoughts - for anyone who read this far, I'm giving you forehead kisses /p because that was A Lot. Thanks for the ask, Bababird!!! 🖤

Here’s some starwars ships I took a crack at! I didn’t want to do the perfect smooth moc style most people do (not that I don’t like that style) instead I opted to try and have studs exposed and a more low poly look! They are all in minifig scale.

A Mandolorian fangfighter:

This one was a fun challenge because I had to make the wings able to spin freely from the central cockpit and have them able to fold up and down! The wings can spin completely around the cockpit thanks to much trial and error!

A Geonosian nantex:

This one holds a special place in my heart! Geonosis is one of my favorite Star Wars planets and my favorite ship is the nantex so I had to get this right! Because of the angular design I had to use a lot of snot technique (studs not on top) which gave it a real nice tapering design!

And of course a Naboo n-1 starfighter:

With this I had one goal in mind, instead of the standard yellow lego uses on their N-1’s I wanted to make one using bright-light-orange instead. Because of this the pieces available were limited which caused the shaping to be more blocky (even compared to the others) but I’m still happy with how it turned out!

One of my favorite things about art is that it is always in conversation with others :) I'm so glad that you love BABA, but it wouldn't be what it is without every other story I've ever read and have fallen in love with first!!

I fear I do not have much advice in the way of worldbuilding, as I'm notorious for just... adding things in when I feel it and praying for continuity. There are definitely better people out there to ask than me, but what I always come back around to are the... little human things, I guess? If you ask me where water comes from or crop rotations or if there are sheep I will be making that answer up in the moment or giving a big 'ol shrug of my shoulders. If you look too closely, you'll realize Rhysea isn't even turtles all the way down. It's more a house of cards in a hailstorm.

However, what's important to me, always, is trying to find ways to make your characters care about the world around them and for the world to care about your characters in turn.

Ilyaas is a forgiving narrator for this --- she falls in love with everything she sees and she tries to cling to it, and she's a big part of me, and the things that I care about are stories and food and traditions and words and fancy engraved swords, so that is what Rhysea has a lot of. Perhaps my world-building advice is to talk at length about the things that make you happy? And to build those into your world?

As much as I wish I could, I derive no joy from sitting down and listing out Rhysea's top exports and the name of every Laerd and their children. It would make Rhysea so much cooler, I'm sure, but it would drive me crazy in the building it. However, when Ilyaas starts to talk about the lottery system or the way cycles work things become intersting to me and I like to spend the time with them. Perhaps my world-building advice is to write a scene and fill in the world, rather than creating a world for the sake of a scene?

I think my only real piece of advice is to add in what feels interesting to you, the writer, rather than what you feel like maybeee you should have in order to have a Real Serious World. Love makes everything feel real. Write in what you love :)

Fun sensory play to do when your smol/ with your little one:

1. Eating with your hands:

Especially food you would usually use utensils for is a really fun sensory experience. Just make sure to wear clothes that are allowed to get dirty and protect rugs & furniture.

My favorite are melons. Just cut whatever kind of melon you prefer in half, lay out a tarp on the floor/ table and dig in with your hands.

Pasta with tomato sauce or rice are really great to make a mess too!

2. Brushing you plushies, or your pet if u have one:

You could also brush your own/ a friends/ your CG's/ your little one's hair, which can be great for bonding! <3

It's super easy and I find the feeling of brushing hair/ fur extremely relaxing and comforting.

3. Playing with shaving foam:

It has a really soft feeling, is available in all kinds of scents and is great to play with in the bathroom or wherever you're able to rinse everything with water.

I like to play with it in the garden, I just wear my swimming trunks and cover my whole body in the foam, in the summer.

4. Playing with baby powder:

I'd advise to also do this in the bathroom or over a tarp, stuff gets everywhere.

It's fun to cover your body in the soft, comforting smelling powder and it's easily washable from skin and clothes.

If it ends of in the floor/ carpet/ furniture it can be removed with a vacuum.

5. Filling a tub/ bucket with different things to dig your hands into it:

This is a pretty easy and fast little sensory play, just pick whatever interesting texture you want and throw it in.

My favorites are: crumbled up/ shredded paper, sand, ping-pong balls, soft blankets, and cotton balls

6. Making playdough:

Making playdough is really easy and a fun sensory experience.

You basically only need 5 ingredients and are free to add any color and scent you'd like! → here is a recipe ←.

Make sure to lay out cling wrap on the surface you'll be working on and wear clothes that are allowed to get stained, food coloring is hard - sometimes impossible - to remove from certain services/ fabrics.

Also be aware that the food coloring will most likely stain your skin and nails for a few days, from mixing it in. You can wear gloves to prevent that, but that also lessenes the sensory experience.

All ingredients are safe to eat, since little ones can be very curious. If you choose to add scents, make sure to use food safe ones, in case you/ your little one decides to eat it.

Tipps for little ones that are prone to accidents!!

(Obvious cw! for diaper mention)

mainly regarding No. 2 since that's what I deal with pretty much every day.

Which padding might be best?

Finding the right diaper for regular, or even everyday use can be difficult.

Since I regularly go potty normally, I often have to open and close my diapers. I find hook & loop tapes are the most durable option for this.

Pull ups are also easy for that, but they tend to get saggy and they fray really easily, so I'm not a big fan of them.

Cloth back diapers aren't crinkly, so they are more subtle than others.

The thickness of a diaper is not important when you only go number 2 in them, since they don't have to "absorb" liquid, just hold the other stuff, so you can go as thin - and therefore subtle - as you'd like.

Medical diapers are much more affordable than cute ones, but they are also boring.. Drawing on your diapers or putting stickers on them can be a great solution, aswell as a fun crafting project.

How to possibly prevent accidents?

Prevention is not always possible, but those tricks help me sometimes.

Be careful what you eat/ drink. Knowing what dietary constrictions you have and upholding them can be vital. Try avoiding possible triggers for IBS, food intolerances, etc. Especially when you'll be out and about, where having an accident could feel especially upsetting.

Try and figure out the "schedule" of your bowel movements, most people have to go at certain times and in certain intervals after eating. Figuring out your schedule if possible can help you prevent accidents by going to the toilet at the right time precautionary. Finding out your schedule can be done by writing down every time you use the restroom, especially after eating/ drinking, so also note the times of that! Do so for at least one moth to try and figure out a clear pattern.

What do when you had an accident in public?

Having an accident in public can feel upsetting and humiliating, I often get really self-conscious and sad if it happens.. But I have some Tipps that help me deal.

Firstly, here is a tiny tutorial for the cleanest way to "fold" a dirty diaper, to prevent any leaking.

I always carry little diaper bags with me, that I previously filled with a "smell killing powder". → these powders can be bought online or in stores, they are advertised as scent killers, odour eliminating Powder or garbage / diaper bin deodorizing powder. (I use "Geruchs Vernichter" by Dr. Becher) !! don't put the powder in a diaper while/ before wearing it, it's really harmful to the skin !!

The diaper bags are just little plastic bags, there are options to get ones that aren't see through, if you're super self-conscious. Another option is to wrap the bag (or diaper in it) in toilet paper to disguise it. The bags themselves are also available scented!

Carrying air freshener or deodorant may also help you, when you're in a public bathroom and feel self-conscious about the smell.

A fresh diaper, aswell as wet wipes and disposable gloves are also always in my travel bag.

Make a list of positive affirmations & take it with you everywhere.

It's not your fault, you're not broken, you're not icky, you are so valid & these accidents don't change anything about that!! <3

What to wear?

If your shy about wearing diapers, the right clothes may give you comfort.

Baggy clothes to hide them are a great option.

I found hoodies that are long enough to cover up the back areas especially comforting.

Baggy pants in general are great to hide your padding, just make sure to wear a belt so they don't slip of!

I always wear a tugged in shirt or a onesie, so there is no peeking of the diaper when I lean forward.

Wearing a short leggings/ underwear over your diaper might give you a feeling of safety aswell.

That's all I can think of right now, I might update this later though. Everyone is free to add their own tips, tricks or remarks aswell!!

I want you to know that there is nothing sameful or icky about having to wear diapers or simply choosing to wear them for comfort. There is nothing weird about it and you are not broken or less worthy of love for wearing/ needing padding.

You are strong, you got this and I'm so very proud of you for taking care of yourself!
