Let's talk about the Blood and Songbirds sequel. Where we left off:

New Capenna was saved from the Phyrexians thanks to the efforts of the five families + the Found (aka Jaren, Errant, and Parnesse)

Jaren and Ritter now have a very large personal gap between them because they're clashing like hell and they're both in bad mental states due to all the fuckery

Mathias is newly re-traumatized and has sworn off of his music-based magic, turning to Broker magic instead

Tibalt is questioning how the fuck he ended up "in charge" in any meaningful way as the mediator between these other traumatized planeswalkers

Some of the babywalkers no longer have their sparks and can't get home; the rest are terrified of going home and seeing what state their planes and families are in

Jaren, Ritter, Mathias, and Tibalt still have an outstanding debt to the planeswalker Kasmina and have to go to Strixhaven at the beginning of autumn and join her cult, as per their agreement to get un-compleated

Xander and Spara are retired and exhausted; Spara is still wingless and Xander is mediating between the Old Phyrexians and compleated Old Capennans, the New Capennans, and the newly-compleated New Capennans

Atraxa is experiencing free will and guilt for the first time

Ob Nixilis is still here

The Multiverse is fucked up and the Blind Eternities is taking planeswalker sparks to "heal" itself, but there are Omenpaths opening up everywhere that will take you to gods-know-where
