the. the. and obviously i didnt get the intended experience of gintama by watching spoiled. but the way that it lands for me to learn the What Happened On That Cliff and other such retroactively-justifying backstories that explain why the chars we've known for so long are the way they are w one neat reveal 300 eps in etc.

and thats exactly what the chars are doing w the utsuro revelation, is thinking back to all the fucked up shit about shouyou and going ah so it was that all along, huh (nodding, doesnt understand). but like. i the viewer dont know shouyou like that. so im just being fed a twist that then homestuck-style retcons itself into being true all along and even now and even as an utsuro lover im like. this means nothing to me. i dont care and i dont like what it does to shouyou or other chars' relationship w him kjhsdfg

and i think i could have dodged that reaction if he were just a LITTLE less stingy w the shouyou flashbacks. so i could have seen this for myself even just like. once. well none of this matters whatever.

and then that document disappeared alas, but have recently started rebuilding it and am interested in hearing about shows to watch -- potentially shows not in the english language (although if you swear by something hit me. i may have seen it or stopped it or what have you but im always interested to hear what people are enjoying)

so yeah. if you have any suggestions, especially non-english (I'm seeing kdrama all over my dash and while ive seen a couple of historical things - mr sunshine and the fantasy-horror kingdom - i would like to broaden that scope, also doesn't just have to be korea, am just seeing a lot from there!) i wanna hear!

And listen, I wanted the Zhuming, I still want the Zhuming, I hope it’s next because I need Huaiyan like I need air in my lungs… but Baiheng is from the Yaoqing and Jing Yuan said her family was one of the most renown Foxian families on the Yaoqing which could mean Baiheng lore is very VERY likely WHICH MEANS I STILL WIN 🎉🎉

Say what you want about being tired of the Xianzhou, I NEVER get tired of it not even tired of specifically the Luofu. Partially because I love exploring immortality both in terms of the extent of immortality and self healing but also the extent to which lifespans fundamentally affect all parts of people’s lives like in specifically regards to love to give one example. Thinking about like Banxia from Bailu’s story quest and also the world quest about the Vidyadhara guy (who himself was… ugh) who keeps falling in love with this one Xianzhou Native for multiple reincarnations, jealous of his previos self each lifetime, and how she gradually loses the spark and interest in love and passion due to her lifespan and her continuously going through this?? The exploration is so good… I love that they went multiple long life species with different lifespans and circumstances around being long life, it gives so much to play with and I am so so excited to see us go to another part of the Xianzhou fleet and have just their circumstances explored more !!

Actually playing the first game is making me realize 1. how completely out of nowhere the tank battle mechanic was in rocket slime and 2. how much potential they missed for overworld puzzles and boss fights

It's not that I find Pretty Woman (1990) particularly compelling (like I understand if you do, I see the appeal, but it's not Gary Marshall's best film imo).
