Duck Earrings

I ended up making a prototype of my earrings that will be selling locally! The earrings are coated in a liquid gold paint, which is very dangerous! Cancer is in big letters on the back of this thing... and I got a small bit in my eyes! One of my first hazardous experiences, but after an eye rinse everything was fine. Next the earrings will have black paint applied to the top to add some contrast. Last time I attempted these, the finish that I put on top of the earrings was too shiny. It muddled the contrast between the gold and black paint. I snagged some matte finish, so here's to hoping the matte finish will maintain the high contrast between the black and gold paint!! I'm so excited

Hello! I’m the person who sent this ask a bit ago

Just coming in with an update (and another question lmao).

I removed the battery safely! It’s sitting in my garage (away from anything flammable) and I’m going to dispose of it later today. Currently waiting for the new one to come in ^^

During the operation, my case broke even further while I was unscrewing it and now it’s in 2 pieces (shown below)

My question is this: would it be possible to fix this case and reattach it when my new battery arrives? I definitely have the tools to clean out any dust, but would super glue or tape work for the cracks? I should probably buy a new backplate but I wanna be sure.

im so glad! Superglue should work super well. Superglue works basically perfectly on plastic to plastic bonds. It depends on your dexterity level and skill with crafts for how well the final result will look, but if you do it perfectly it'll look like there isn't any crack at all.
