DRAMA REVIEW | The Auditors (2024)
I wish more dramas where like The Auditors. For starters, this drama is perfect in length: twelve episodes, no loose ends, actual character development, well paced. An airshot script that knew where the story and characters where going, its strengths and weaknesses, and that took advantage of all of it in order to bring one of the most entertaining kdramas of this year.
Yes, the story following a department of internal auditors at a large construction conglomerate is highly entertaining. That goes to show that it doesn't matter what the subject matter of a drama is, as long as the people in charge of production, casting, directing and acting know what they are doing and have a clear picture, it's a win.
The cinematography and camera work is fast paced, as it should, for this is an action drama full of intrigue, betrayal, murder and corruption. Like any story of this genre you have the typical archetypes in each key player but the performances manage to make them feel fresh and likeable. Some characters are meant to be more nuance and complex, those were a treat to watch as we dwell into their backstory and motivations.
The list of guest stars this show has is mind-blowing and I don't think enough people are talking about it. Every episode or so a familiar face shows up for a particular story arc. It varies from a recently famous actress to a veteran actor, character actor that you might not know their name but you definitely know their work. It's wild the amount of talented people involved in this project.
Overall, I found The Auditors to be a really solid drama and I recommend it.

THE AUDITORS
GENRES: Drama
SUMMARY: A no-nonsense auditor known for his 100% success rate is hired by a conglomerate to clean house.
THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Fried chicken, sneaky husbands, luscious long corporate hair, middle-manager lackeys, iced coffees, digital espionage, elaborate slide decks, archive searching, resume fibbing, nepotism, and steely looks.
HOT TAKE: This show reminds me a bit of 'Numbers' and 'Tracer' in that they try to make the most boring professions tense, sexy, and full of drama. For every meeting and archive mining scene, there are some really unexpected car chases, fistfights, and tussles that keep you coming back for more. Unlike many dramas which peak at the penultimate episode, the final episode of this drama is PACKED with whodunnits, gasps, and satisfying justice.

20th CENTURY GIRL
🎥 Movie Review 🍿
So it all start with a crush 😂 literally. This movie was good but not that heart-wrecking for me (or maybe bec I watched too much romance asian dramas that ends with unhappy endings) 😅 Since I saw the first trailer of the movie, I knew someone is going to die, either the female lead or the male lead. 90s romance has that kind of vibes where the lead role dies or they won’t be together at the end (just like 21 25). Luckily my parents ends up together to have me 😂
So the story revolves around the female lead, Bora and her twisted love story when she fell in love to her best friend’s crush, Woonho without knowing that it was him. Kind of clichè but the story-telling saved the clichè movie. I am just a little bit of confused to what happened to Woonho at the end because there is no explanation why he died or how he died.
My hint is it is either he is sick that is why he is going back to New Zealand to cure it but unfortunately died and just told his brother Joseph that he is going to SoKor instead of the operating room just for him to think that his brother is in the hospital and not dead. Another guess is that Woonho died on a plane crash or car accident when he was really going back to SoKor to meet Bora.
So I will give this movie a 8/10 ⭐️ The story-telling and the cinematography is good and the casting really fits the story. I got pissed off to Yeondoo that means her acting is great. I hope to see all of them to other Kdramas and Kmovies.
I would recommend you to watch this if you like mellow and light dramas. Movies about life and pure love.

The Real Has Come is oddly refreshing, and Ahn Jae Hyun and Baek Jin Hee are crushing it!
