Donnie sends weapon after weapon at the hand. It reminds him of a cockroach with its uncanny ability to dodge and survive. He considers the thought that like the bug, this hand was cut off something more powerful as an attempt to keep surviving.

He has to divert those thoughts. One wrong move and he’s spored all over again. Hopefully this has been enough time to give the universe’s new Phonora guest time to escape.

Maybe now is the time for him to get going as well.

Or, it would be, if more people didn’t start walking around!

Hold on, he recognizes one of them. It’s the Mikey who tried to steal from Leo’s Fanny Pack. There’s an alternative Donnie he sees with him that must be from the same universe. He’s aware that they’ve had to deal with the hallucinations as well.

Wait, is that also a mutated April!?

Mikey must have sent out help looking for Leo.

“You three! Get out of here! That hand is still in the area!”

He watches as the hand suddenly springs out at them. The other version of him shields his brother, and Mayhem April moves in front of them both.

No, this is not happening to them again.

That Mikey is small. Even in comparison to other Mikeys, he’s small. Malnutrition stunted his and that other Leo’s growth.

He’s too small to go through this again.

And, though he won’t admit it outright for no good reason, seeing another April further enforces his decision.

He creates and tosses a device at them. It becomes a shield type bubble around the three. The hand slaps against it and slides down.

Donnie smirks in pride.

Not this time, you demon.

The hand lands on the floor and turns back to him.

Uh oh.

Donnie whips around his tech bō, hoping to hit it back when it inevitably comes after him. He takes a step back, only for the floor to sink beneath his foot.

Are you kidding!?

How is a hand smart enough for booby traps!?

Darts carrying spores whiz by him, spraying in his face. He coughs and sputters.

“April! Mikey! Other me! Go back to Mikey! Make sure he’s safe!”

April’s face falling tells him all he needs to know.

He grips his tech bō tighter.

“Then get Raph! Warn him!”

“We’ll get you help! I swear!” April shouts.

They all try to get the ball moving somehow while in the cramped space. Donnie takes a breath, glad that he’s managed to save them at least.

“You’ve come back.” A voice squirms into his brain.

Donnie gets a full body shudder.

So this is what it’s decided to make him think about this time.

“Perhaps we were too hasty to remove you last time. Join us once again, we’ll put your mind to good use.”

The Kraang hive mind.

He takes a deep breath.

They’re long gone. It’s okay. He’ll never have to feel that way again-

OH BANANA PANCAKES, WHAT IS TAKING OFF HIS BATTLE SHELL!?

He moves around as quickly as possible to stop the sensation. His eyes avoid where he left the others. He’s hoping they aren’t watching him lose his mind.

There still some level of pride he’d like to keep.

Or maybe….he just really, really, that’s two reallys, doesn’t want a Mikey and April specifically to see this.

His movements don’t quell his feeling of vulnerability. The battle shell is fully taken away and tendrils start poking into his soft shell.

There’s no way to move from whatever was doing this. It’s a hallucination, of course he can’t.

It’s everywhere.

He’s unable to ignore how well it’s replicating the worst thing he’s ever experienced.

His arms start to feel-

No! Why is it in his arms!?

That did not happen!

No, no no no, it’s in his legs!

It’s all over!

He moves around like a madman, as if they’ll leave his body if he does so enough. It’s taking all his strength not to scratch into his skin to make it end.

His breathing grows heavy, he squeezes his arms tightly enough for his nails to dig into them.

On the verge of shutting down, his thoughts go back to how being the ship felt. It was so much, flooding his senses as he was surrounded by feelings and touch and voices.

The same happens to him now. Being pulled away from reality into a sea of endless consciousnesses where you don’t know where you begin and end. You just exist within everything.

It’s suffocating.

He gets on his knees and rocks back and forth. It’s a useless attempt to self soothe. How could it possibly help?

Why can’t it just go away!?

I hurts!

He doesn’t want to feel it!

Make it stop! Please!

Leo! Raph! Mikey!

Oh Mikey……

What a poor excuse of an older brother he is.

Leo is probably in an as bad or even worse situation than Mikey is based on how long he’s been gone. He has no idea where Raph is.

Why did they separate!?

They should never leave each other’s side again at this point!

He wants to see them so badly….

A small, tiny part of him wishes the other versions of his family were still here.

Would the spores even let him see the real them?

He’d probably see them dead or missing pieces or something equally as horrible.

Does he dare look?

He pulls himself out of the grip of the hallucination just enough to take that chance.

The other Mikey is sobbing, beating his fist on the inside of the ball. April and the other Donnie are mostly successfully holding him back but he keeps wriggling away.

He’s….yelling his name?

Why does he care? He’s not his Donnie.

Maybe for the same reason Donnie protected them all.

Ah, sentimentality. It’s the folly of all of them, and most versions it seems like.

He shakily reaches up but doesn’t dare even think about getting rid of the bubble. There’s danger all around. It’s the only thing keeping them safe.

The other Mikey presses his face against the inside of the bubble.

Donnie smiles slightly.

“It’s okay.”

“No! It’s not okay! Donnie, do something! Please!” Mikey pleads.

“How!? We can’t get out of this bubble! I don’t even know how his device works!” The other Donnie insists.

Mikey gives him as big of puppy dog eyes as he can manage.

“Even your cutest face can’t change reality! He probably doesn’t even want us to try anything. You know why he did this.” Other Donnie continues.

Mikey looks back at the spored Donnie.

His eyes were filled with purple light that had begun changing to a very creepy blue. It hurt to see him so uncomfortable, so in pain. The blue only stopped getting worse when he saw Mikey.

That means Mikey can do something, right?

He quickly turns to April.

“What happened with his Mikey? And-!….Wait, where’s Karai?”

April frowns deeply.

“He got spored, again. Karai….trapped herself with him and Leo to stop him. He went crazy! We couldn’t snap him out of it. His arms-“

Donnie hits the bubble, startling all inside.

“Did he use his ninpo again!?”

He seems a lot more lucid.

April gets an idea. It’s a very painful one she knows she won’t feel good about even if it works, but it’s all she has.

“He did! Donnie, it’s…..it’s bad. Real bad. Leo is covered up by all these viney things too!”

The blue in Donnie’s eyes is nearly vaporized by all the purple. He grips his teeth and stands up, completely ignoring the squirming from before. The feeling is starting to go away entirely.

He grips his tech bō again and sees the hand making its way out of the room. The tech bō turns into a spear he launches right towards it. Black blood drips onto the ground but the hand isn’t still.

It squirms and writhes, trying to get away.

Donnie walks over, the hand removes itself from its arm portion and runs off. He lifts it up and smirks slightly as he looks it over.

At least he knows it could be injured.

“You did it!” Mikey cheers in relief.

Donnie looks back at him, smiling a bit more before a headache suddenly starts pounding in his head.

No!

He won, didn’t he?

A different voice booms into his skull.

“Come to me. Feed me your fear.”

He’s still connected to the hive mind.

The hand scuttles off, knowing it barely escaped this time.

It doesn’t fear for the turtles’ lives as it does not have the capability of fearing anything.

That isn’t to say that it does want them dead.

It simply knows that it isn’t how this story will end.

The tragedy and angst has been so entertaining, but they will be saved. It’s proven already. It’s written in fate itself.

The problem with trying to sneak out of Ted Lasso's bed is that Ted Lasso is too perceptive for his own good. Beard knows it's over for him when he rolls over to his side and immediately hears the first protesting groan. He waits a beat or two to see if he's maybe gotten lucky, but it's immediately followed by his husband's deep, gravelly morning voice.

"Baby," he complains, drawing the word out. "Where're you goin'?"

It doesn't matter how many times he's heard it, Ted's morning voice never stops being his favourite thing. The urge to stay is so strong. To give in and get that voice muttering the kind of filth that makes him never want to leave bed again. But Beard has to resist it.

"I told you yesterday that I have to run some errands this morning," says Beard, knowing that the determination he was hoping to find in his voice is missing.

"Absolutely not," says Ted, and before Beard can do anything, Ted's arms and legs are wrapped around him like the world's clingiest octopus. He begins peppering Beard's neck with kisses, and Beard can't help but laugh and lean back into them. "You've been krakened. You can't go anywhere now."

"Honey, you know I want to stay here as much as you want me to," says Beard, just Ted starts using his teeth, and oh god does he want to stay, but… "but I've gotta go. I've gotta get the groceries otherwise we aren't eating later."

"So? We'll get takeout," he says and though Beard can't see it, he knows Ted is pouting. "C'mon, baby. Can't you see that it's just raining? There ain't no need to go outside…"

He sings the lyrics in a low voice, lips brushing the spot just behind his ear and Beard finds the last of his resolve slipping away.

"Coach," he tries feebly, but he knows he's already lost.

"Baby," says Ted in reply, clinging tighter. Beard laughs and leans forward to kiss Ted's forearm.

"You win again," he says. "This ship has been dragged right to the bottom of the ocean."

"Mmm, you say that like you aren't winning too."

And Beard is. He has.

The 4 stopped arguing for a second and looked at April processing what she said before shrugging and continuing the argument.

April felt kinda offended by this, she liked Thanksgiving, cause then she could spend time with her family, the turtles and her human family. She loved Thanksgiving for that. April just groaned setting the pizza onto the counter before yelling.

💛:Okay WHATS wrong with Thanksgiving huh??

The turtles stopped arguing and looked at her not trying to be rude they tried explaining it.

💙:Well- thanks giving is a bit- lame...

💛:...WHAT?-

💜:OH Please April come on, eating some dinner and thanking each other? That's kinda boring.

April looked at them shocked before turning mad as she asked.

She asked before grabbing the nearest turtle, which was Mikey, and she started wrecking the heck out of his sides as she warned the others.

Mikey bursted into giggles as he started squirming in the arms of his older human sister.

The 3 older brothers looked at Mikey before getting scared and running off in diffrent directions. Oh but the party just started... April blew a few ticklish raspberries into Mikeys shell before he hid in it and April decided to leave him alone for now, best order to try and get the 3 brothers: Donnie, Leo, Raph.

April rushed after Donnie, she knew he could hide in his room by using his tech so she needed to get him first, Donnie looked behind him still running as he said.

💜: GASPING!-

Before April pounced on him and they started wrestling on the ground.

💜:AHAPRIL NO- DONT YOU DARE!-

💛:OH SHUSH DONNIE!

She said before she pinned him down and started tickling his Stomach as Donatello shrieked.

💜:AHAHAHAHPHIHIRLL NOHOHOOO!!-

He squealed through his hiccuping and hysterical laughter before April stopped and rushed to Leo's room leaving Donnie breathless as he panted.

💜:Oh my banana pancakes-...

When April entered Leo's cart train room she looked around for her fellow brother, she then felt something dripping from the celling...sweat?- she looked up to see a nervous, sweaty red slider as he smiled weakly and said.

💙:Uhh...Hi?-

Before he could do anything else April took him by his foot and brought him down to the floor as she started tickling his armpits. The Red slider shut his mouth while trying to not burst out laughing hysterically, well in the end he did. He started cackling and hiccuping while squirming and trying to get away.

💙:NOH*snort*OHOHOO!!!-

April just grinned a little before stopping, laying Leo down on the floor as he panted and yelled.

💙: I WILL GET BACK AT YOOOU!!! *pant* after I take a...*yawn*...nap... *snores*

April went into Raphs train cart room, looking around, just to see Raph hiding as a lamp, he wasn't the smartest cookie in hiding. April gently walked over to him, her foot steps echoing through the room, as she stood behind the turtle, the Snappers face was agianst the wall while his back was towards April's, April fixed her glasses and cracked her knuckles before slowley scratching and tracing along Raphs shell making him burst into silent cackly giggles. When she knew he had enough she just yawned and went to the counter where she left the pizza just to find it gone...and she saw a glimpse of a rat tail leaving the room...

It’s not so much about the song itself, but rather these specific lyrics and my personal interpretation of them. I know it’s not what the song is about, but I sort of interpreted it as the singer not really knowing who they are, and they have it in their head that they can’t let people know them until they know themselves. But that’s utter nonsense to all the people around who love them, because they’ll be there regardless of whatever sometimes-strange things the singer does to “find themselves.” The way I relate this to Milligan/Moocho is through Milligan’s memory loss, cause he remembered Kate but (and I haven’t read the books in a while so correct me if I’m wrong) doesn’t remember a lot else from his past. It’s not exclusively for this ship but I’m still putting it on the playlist

The Hamato brothers were gathered in a circle.

They had decided that, it’s been long enough, let’s show eachother our scars from the Kraang invasion. Just to prove that we got through it, we made it.

They went around in clockwise order, starting from Raph then going to Mikey, Leo and lastly Donnie.

Raph ended up showing them the scars around his eye from when he was possessed, as well as some mild scars on his arms and tail(A/N: I give them tails and you can’t stop me) from taking blows and cuts.

Mikey didn’t have too much scarring, just one little chip in his shell and then some mild burn scars on his hands from opening the portal.

Leo did have quite a bit of scarring. He had one above his eye, close to his temple, where he had been punched repeatedly by the Kraang Prime. He also had a small dent in the side of his shell for the same reason. Then a few long cuts down his legs.

Donnie was, like Mikey, not too bad. He had the normal mild scars on his arms, some that led up to his hands. But then, he took off his battle shell and took a deep breath in.

He turned around, and his brothers were a little shocked. He had small welts that webbed across his whole shell, a few cuts too.

Mikey could tell it was from when he attached to the ship, and it was explained as such to Raph and Leo.

Once they got over the shock factor of that, Leo noticed something….

The scars were on his shell. His most sensitive place.

Leo smirked. This was going to be fun.

“Hey DonTon! These scars look so cool! And it must’ve been so hard for you to expose your soft shell like that!” He started speaking and tracing the scars at the same time.

Even though he was using his words as an excuse to mess with his twin, they weren’t lies either. He really thought that.

Donnie seized up at the contact. Holy banana pancakes that tickled! He tried to hide the fact that it was effecting him so badly, even though Leo knew already.

Eventually, the others started joining, slowly and gently scratching along the webbed scarring.

The added sensation broke the brainy turtle, who then started giggling.

“Guhuhuys! Thahahat tihihihickles!”

Donnie’s brothers ignored him.

“Look at how brave you must’ve been Donnie!” Raph called

“Your so strong! I remember how gross that stuff looked, but you still did what you had too even though it was scary!” Mikey pitched in.

They continued to trace and tell their techy brother how proud of him they were.

Donnie’s heart was soaring. Not only was he laughing quuiite a bit from that blissfully ticklish tracing, but they were proud! Proud.

They might not have been parent-aged adults but it was something.

He didn’t fight back at all as they continued to tickle him lightly. He just let himself be lost in laughter and comfort.

He guessed it was some sweet scarring.

For Veganuary, some of my favorite vegan foods!

As a general rule, I use canned or frozen veggies in all of these. They’re cheaper, they last longer, and you don’t have to do any chopping (which is especially convenient when it comes to onions). The only exceptions are mushrooms and potatoes.

Rice!

I cook it with veggie broth (or a vegan chicken flavored broth), garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.

Before I set it to simmer, I dump in a bag of frozen veggies (I like mixed veggies or spinach) or fresh veggies (I like mushrooms) and throw in a can of chickpeas for good measure

Right after it’s done, I stir in some vegan cheese if I have it. I usually do about a cup of cheese when I make a big pot and that’s plenty.

To stretch mac and cheese, melt some vegan butter in the pot, add your unsweet dairy free milk, then add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and whatever seasonings you want. Bring it to a boil and then whisk in enough flour to get it to a gravy-like consistency. then add your dairy free cheese--you’ll only need half as much.

I like to add red bell pepper or spinach to a mozzarella mac and cheese; peas or meatless crumbles to a cheddar mac and cheese. 

For tomato sauce, I just use a can of crushed tomato with salt, garlic and onion powder, italian seasoning, and a bit of balsamic vinegar. Spinach and mushrooms go well with this, too.

Cheese - I buy raw cashews in bulk from foodtolive--shipping is free, tax is included, and the price is very reasonable. I eat cashew cheese every day so I usually get the 7lb bag and keep it in the bottom of my fridge.

Go-to Cashew Cheese (This is a great base! Sometimes I add tomato paste and hot sauce for a buffalo cheese, or sometimes I go heavy on the lemon juice and add dried dill and parsley).

hi liv!!! of course <3 i was listening to jack johnson earlier today (specifically better together and banana pancakes) so it's a very specific type of lazy morning love, i hope you like it !!

Angeria loved watching Camden sleep on the slow, tired Sundays where they could afford to sleep in. She gets the honor of seeing someone who’s so focused on the next thing she has to do—the next class to teach and next day of work and the next meal to make for the two of them—she gets to see all of that melt away when she’s sleeping.

There’s something so special about getting to see Camden so calm, so vulnerable, so pretty sleeping next to her. The way she fits in her arms, the way she’s warm and soft and kind even in sleep, the way she lets out soft little puffs of air or gentle murmurs every once in a while.

She counts herself lucky to see it. She gets to hold her, to watch her, to make her breakfast and open the window of their room to let in the sunlight and morning breeze. She gets to kiss her forehead and call her pet names and watch her fiddle with the ring that Angie had proposed with two weeks ago.

It’s a Sunday, and she’s watching Camden sleep. She can’t help it, nor can she help the way she tears up—she just can’t believe she’s this lucky. Someday, someday soon, this beautiful woman in front of her will be her wife.

Camden shifts in her arms and her breathing changes, and Angie can’t help but watch her face as her nose scrunches at the light filtering through the open curtains before she fully opens her eyes. 

“Are you awake yet?” she asks teasingly, and Camden grumbles lightly as she tucks her head into her chest. 

“No,” she replies, and the way she tucks herself further in to hide from the day is adorable, in Angie’s opinion. 

“Come on, Cam, I can’t make you pancakes unless you let me get up.” She laughs quietly, and Camden loosens her grip just enough for her to worm her way out of bed for the second time that morning. She had been up for some time, of course, her natural sleep schedule causing her to wake up at seven every morning.

“Five more minutes? Please?” Camden mumbles, already shifting over to steal the warm from Angie’s spot. 

“Sure, baby. Go back to bed, I’ll be here when you wake up.”

She says it as if she would ever deny Camden sleep if she didn’t absolutely have to. She was so stressed all the time, so tired—Sundays were her only real day of rest. Angie would let her sleep all day if that’s what she wanted, only waking her to bring her meals and joining her in bed when she got tired of chores and tidying. 

“Mkay. Love you,” Camden calls, and Angie returns it even as she’s heading out of the room.

She has some pancakes to make.

First impression: im pretty sure i hated her because she kept hitting on dalinar and dalinar kept telling her no and she JUST KEPT HITTING ON HIM i still dont like that but i just sort of pretend dalivani doesnt exist if im completely honest

Impression now: navani is great navani had such a rough life and shes finally having a life where she is truly happy and i love that for her. not even talking about dalivani here im talking about getting recognition for her engineering work

Unpopular opinion: what opinions about navani are popular. i feel like there are two brands of navani enjoyers and thats straight navani enjoyers who are dating a jock and are like omg were the real life navani and dalinar <3 and its like blech. so i guess my approach to navani is whatever the opposite of what those guys are doing

Favorite relationship: i am partial to navaniel of course but ive also been going sort of bananas over navani/ialai..... like yeah on one hand its like okay this is one hundred percent just shipping the wives of the 2 guys you ship together with each other in a like sort of Look I Made Them Not Cheat! sort of thing but i dont really think of it like that because i think of them mostly during blackthorn era and like during the post blackthorn pre middle age era... so like when tehyrey in their 20s and 30s. so its not sadeas's wife and dalinar's wife its sadeas's wife and gavilar's wife. and gavilar as we all know is heterosexual. so yeah. i think it was very much a "it doesnt count as cheating if its gay shit" sort of thing which is why navani says she was never unfaithful; she is genuinely under the impression that what she did was not cheating because it was not penetrative. okay anyway
