i think spearmaster and srs’ relationship is a lot more interesting than people usually make it in fan material… srs was apparently originally ‘repulsed’ (quite literally the word used) by spearmaster, but by the time it’s campaign rolls around, has become so attached they actively worry for it to nsh, being unable to imagine what would happen if it were seriously harmed… test tube baby emotions

found it !!
i love the decision of him having guns despite having powers because it really does make sense considering how he doesn’t use his guns too often but only when the person he’s facing isn’t a clear challenge/worthy of his physical powers. it really shows that he has standards for who gets their ass whooped and who gets a simple shot in the face.
also makes sense that wesker takes his time whooping chris, jills, and sheva’s ass. he knows they’re skilled opponents and likes the challenge
also love that they wanted to humanize him since people like to assume he’s emotionless. while re5 wesker had way more potential and was done pretty dirty in both character and through the story i did like that they gave him more emotion/slight vulnerability in his cutscenes. yeah, he’s good at hiding emotions but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel them 🌝

Just saw some coop DMC5 videos and hoooo boi I get it why the feature was not fully implemented in the game. Don't get me wrong, even just barebones coop where two players can play one entire level together with just enemy health buffed up like 5 times and double spawns would have been Nice To Have, but yeah making it actually fit well in game would require rearranging 80% of levels, enemy scaling and balancing and just, a ton more work. Plus AI reworking cause it clearly has no idea what to do with more than one player. Still would love for this feature to be actually implemented in game, no matter how barebones it would have been, it seems like a ton of fun.
It's hilarious how the players keep accidentally stealing each other's kills or messing combos by snatching demons to the other end of the arena. There is not even nearly enough space for three sparda idiots on the base game levels. Also I can't even see the Nero player over the lightshow the twins' are pulling off there.
Hilarious, absolutely unbalanced, enemies are just everest-level damage sponges, pure fun

yeah yeah i got recommended that Henry Cooldown analysis video whatever. i am still not over people comparing Henry to a medieval knight, NOT even taking the time to unpack that said mental image of a knight is 'mostly' associated with the British Monarchy*, an extension of its Empire that *checks notes* did a long list of atrocities like imperialism and colonialism, and also (multiple) genocides.
Henry is NOT British, he is Irish. Although considering the history of Ireland and how poorly the British Empire has treated them (amongst SO MANY OTHER COUNTRIES AND DIASPORAS), yeah it's NOT surprising that an Irish man like Henry is essentially forced to adopt quote on quote 'British sensibilities' to 'survive'. <- intentional imagery or not, the implications are not lost on me.
Like okay, calling out the comparison is cool but it sure would be nice if people went further to unpack what that means and implies in the long term. you know, like ACTUAL CRITICAL ANALYSIS?!

seeing people admit they've stopped writing female muses and stick to male muses now because they're more likely to get interactions is pretty disheartening to be honest. like you are 100% part of the problem female muses are continuously overlooked and underappreciated in the rpc
