maybe it's just cuz i can get really into a good, well-timed edit but i keep watching the trailer for this week in part because the wall slam hits so hard.

the background music does a lot of work with punctuating whats happening on screen, and A LOT of things are happening, but the wall slam in particular comes after a series of moments that pop up at a specific beat in the tune: fireworks on the revenge, someone getting headbutted into a table in a bar fight, stede slams ed into a wall

and its like you watch it and and the beat goes hard on those moments so you're already kind of hype and then BOOM ed's back hits the wall and your heart slams in your chest because WHAT WAS THAT.

the idea that your friends won't like you if you're too weird is wrong for example one time I told a friend whenever I was losing my mind I laid down on the floor under my desk and stared at it until I was better and next time she visited me she taped a bag of salami snacks to the underside of my desk with a message saying "going insane all by yourself, handsome?" which I only saw months later when I had a breakdown. that's friendship.

in junior year of highschool my art teacher would let our ceramics class play music of our choice off of her desktop. we usually used spotify or youtube but she did have one album downloaded on her computer. it was a halloween sound effects/ambience collection. i dont remember why she had it. there was a track on there called "burning screams" which was exactly what it sounds like. just a cacophony of screams alongside crackling fire. she only let us play it on very special occasions, and we would cheer and jump with joy every time. it was like a pizza party to us

I've been sorting and purging wips, frogging everything that won't get finished and filling out wip cards for everything I will finish. I also laminated all my wip cards and hole punched them so I can fasten them to the outsides of my project bags. taking a break for my body to calm down and then I'll finish up and put everything away!

i keep seeing misinformation about this, so: queerplatonic relationships do not have a set definition. the name comes from the idea that it's "queering" the platonic relationship, tailoring it to the individual relationships' own desires. it isn't necessarily romance lite, but it also isn't necessarily whatever definition you want to impose on it. the point of queering the platonic relationship is to break away from strict allonormative views on friendship, romance, and sex, not to make a new categorical box to fit in.

the answer to "what is a qpr?" is "whatever you want it to be." sometimes that is romance lite. sometimes it's a deeply committed friendship. sometimes it's friends who have a sexual relationship. sometimes it's based on an entirely different mode of attraction. sometimes it's fluid and impossible to put into words. it's whatever you want it to be. it's queer.
