Having fic Idea kinda inspired by @drownedinlavender fic "Be Nice To Me" (Great fic btw, i get giddy everytime theres an update)

Basecally Cartman is send to an alternative corretional facility where he is treated so bad they break him; when he comes back he holds an assembly in front of the whole school to apologize for everything he has done and later goes to speak to the boys and says they should stop hangin out bcuz their relationships arent healthy, they are all bewildered and Kyle thinks he is planing something and start playing more attention to him.

Now Cartman was acting like a completely diferent person, he starts taking his grades super seriously to the point he LITERALLY cries to retake a test he doesn't do well in the first time; but outside classes he barely talks to anyone and the only time he speaks loud enough for you(Kyle) to hear at a distance is when he is having Discord call during lunch( he eats all alone behind the bleachers).

Later the others discover that Eric has a new Youtube Channel where he is posting piano+singing covers for the most random songs (like the is Im Still Standing right beside Gloomy Sunday) and playing up little stories with his old plushies (some times he posts tutorials of him fixing them too), most of the boys find it weird and funny and think about trolling him but Kyle dissuades them, saying they should all just forget about Cartman, while he himself starts getting obsessed with the videos, trying to find a clue to what Cartman is planing or what happened to him, Kyle gets so distressed he goes back to old habits and tries to break in into Cartman's room at night only to be caugth by Kenny.

Kenny was the only one to bother with trying to reach out to Cartman outside of school, and with little time they started getting even closer than they are before, not just Cartman opening up about what happened to him but Kenny finally finding in him to let out all the frustrations in his life, how he hates how he is forgoten or used by others, How it seems like no-one in his life supports him and he has to keep a brave face to his sister so she doesn't feel the same, How he cant even get high anymore cuz all he gets are bad trips. And Cartman listen, without saying anything, just letting Kenny speak, and they hug and after that they start hangin out a lot, with Cartman some times going to Kenny's job to bring him something to eat( he been trying to get back at cooking and Kenny is a great 'test subject') and even helping a little during closing time. They are having a lot of sleepovers, one of witch is interupted by Kyle climbing on the window, with Kenny catching him before he wakes Eric up.

Kenny talks to Kyle outside, says that Cartman is going through a lot and even himself doesn't got all the story yet, and that he can try taking Eric into talking to Kyle again but that Kyle should also respect Cartman's space.

So far this is where i stop my pondering, i also thought up a scene where Cartman's "Doctor" from the facility comes to his house to "check up" basecally scare him into keeping being "good" regressin his progress from opening up to his friends, but Kenny & Kyle to the rescue! And in the end they report the "doctor" and burn the facility down, usually i dont think up my stories to have an ending so i forced my self to think one for this just to get the habit to it

Today I unexpectedly got the pleasure of reading this great manga called "St. Freya High" and I wanted to throw up. At this point I can also understand why this manga was deleted from the site except for two chapters. And because I'm an OttoKallen blog, I only go into the parts that contain Kallen Kaslana in the case. I can't say much about Kiana's relationship with Mei either, because I only play Honkai Impact 3 and their relationship goes beyond that. ~*~ The first thing I noticed was the extreme fan service. Kiana licking Mei's wounds, breasts pressed together. A good view of the genitals and a half-naked Otto

Because I'm not a fan of hentai, especially not with a focus on women, I was a bit served. But I can't say much at this point, because there is also a little bit of fanservice in the game itself. ~♥~ The interesting part of the story for me started with Bronya connecting Kiana to a HOMU device with which she should learn something. She is beamed into an archive and is told the story of how Honkai slowly spread. She then finds the Cross of Kallen, which grants her hidden information simply for being a Kaslana.

She then bumps into Kallen and gets the story of what happened between her time in Yae Village and her sentencing. And here we come to the point of illogicality.

This page implies that Kallen had an explicit death wish, because Sakura is no longer alive. But she never had this. If you follow "Elan Palatinus" and in-game content, you know that Kallen had a choice. She had the choice of keeping her engagement promise to Otto and marrying him now or hanging by a rope. She refused Otto's request to marry her for one reason only. - She knew she would then become the pawn of the overseer (Otto's father) and she didn't want that. Just because of her oath. But that doesn't mean she didn't have feelings for Otto. The rest went under, because Otto left the room. Basecally it meant she would have liked to have married him in another world, free of corruption. In that case, the manga panel doesn't match what Kallen said to Otto. This is followed by a brief background on Kallen and her love for Sakura and the reason she was ultimately sentenced to death.

That makes no sense. If you follow the conversation between Otto and his father Nikolas, you quickly become aware of the problem. Nikolas fears that the Castile will overthrow him. The reason for this is the lost battle and the scandal that Kallen basically triggered. He basically gives Otto a choice. Either you get her to marry you, so I can control her or she has to die. And Kallen doesn't want to be controlled by him. That would mean that she has to accept the corruption. That would also mean that she has to accept, when people are sacrificed for this corruption. And that, by the way, is the twist between Otto and her. At first she thinks he's only doing the experiments out of lust for power, but then she understands that he basically wants to help people. Anyway, the fact that she should only be hanged, because of her love for Sakura makes no sense. She chose death, because she didn't want to be a pawn. It's also inherently illogical, because Sakura was already sealed and dead. So she no longer posed a threat to the church. And this is where the comic itself is illogical, because it says that the crystal was destroyed. In fact, "The grate Graduate Arc" and the samsaras could not have happened at all, because they were fed from Theresa's memories and a piece of the crystal.

But the worst was this. First of all, I've never seen Otto do that flip-hair-back pose, especially in Kallens presence. Neither in other Wecomics, nor in the game itself. Secondly, his behavior here does not correspond to his character at all. Yes. He released the Honkai Beasts to take Kallen with him in the Triggered Panic. But that wasn't his plan, it was his sister's. And yes. In "So Spoke Apocalypse", he vented his displeasure that people just accepted Kallen's death after everything she had done for them. Understandable. But he would never go so far as to willingly sacrifice these people. He was quite desperate and simply underestimated the situation. But here it is presented as if he doesn't care about the people. The main thing is that he is united with his beloved Kallen. And he has never called her "beloved" or "dear" before. that´s also new. And because Kallen sent him a letter to bring the cross to Yae Village, he probably knew about her feelings for Sakura as well. How insensitive is it, then to tell her: "We can travel to the Far East together, if you like it that much." It's also funny that this Arthur actually wanted to let her go, so it was totally unnecessary from Otto's side to release the Honkai beasts. So he's not smart, as he says himself, but stupid. If Kallen could just walk away, wouldn't that be the first option Otto would have used? To top it off, Kallen calls him "Evil" and "Disgusting" and hits him so hard, that he falls over from the punch. In "Elan Palatinus" she hits him too, but he doesn't fall directly on his face. By the way, the manga clashes with "2 Erruption", in which Kallen apparently believes in his good side. ~*~ I felt like I was reading a KiaMei & SakuKallen doujinshi. Otto has been consciously drawn like an arrogant, stupid, anti-social Kallen fanatic. And story gaps were deliberately used to squeeze in the own shipping, whether it makes sense or not. Anyone who thinks that this is canon material, can no longer be helped.

But I also like the innate 'strangeness' of the character -> medical/scientific torture. And by strangeness I mean even small things: an odd blood composition, DNA missing or added that doesn't (inexplicably) affect them, a strange, little mutation (reflective eye shine *wink wink*). Anything and everything just a little out of the ordinary.

If it is taking place in a world where superpowers are common, make the powers seem odd, have strange origins, the way they act when used not give the expected effect. If the superpower is basec in the DNA have the Character have powers, but not the DNA necessary to sustain/warrant them.

And everything OP said still applies, but also on the more Medical Horror side of things:

Character's genes are odd, so the scientists try to understand them by adding animal DNA and see how they react. First on the sterile, duplicated genes outside the body, and then in the Character themself to see what is happening (supposing that the first round of tests didn't give the wanted reactions, so they try on the host)

Have it go both wonderfully well and horrifyingly wrong

Have Character not be the only 'patient' in the facility. Make them witness others go through similar situations, give them trauma

Extreme and unsafe use of body/powers for the extent of activating powers, get the gist of the strange DNA, make something happen. Something happens

If their body is strange/has few reactions to most stimuli, the scientists can: give them strong acids to ingest, fire, different poisons, heavy metals, etc. Body reacts and/or builds an unnaturally fast healing reaction

Make it so, by the end of it Character is so changed that they are THE WEAPON. More tragic if they could have had a normal, wonderful life if the facility didn't get a whiff of them

Most subhuman treatment: medical boundaries shattered and then dissolved, something always dripping into their blood, withholding of necessities to see what happens

Notes on Torturing The Character In The Science Facility

my takes on this trope rarely if ever have anything to do with the character being "special" or being studied for powers they innately have, if they are special its something that was done to them

it's about the medical trauma

it's about the violation and lack of bodily autonomy

the "living weapon" trope, but the key characteristic is catastrophic functionality

i love, love, love the concept of "catastrophic functionality" in a person: character that can tank ludicrous amounts of damage and just Keep Going in virtually all circumstances barring outright dismemberment. They can keep going, so do they "deserve" rest and/or pain relief?

after a lifetime of having their distress treated as whiny and unreasonable, they have what would be a dangerously high tolerance to pain and exhaustion.

another key function of the Science Facility is to fix the damage Character takes, maybe using enhanced healing technologies or 3D printed organs or something. this leads to Character's body being treated as relatively disposable cause "we can just fix them"

extreme version of this: Character can't die even if they wanted to

people who work with Character are informed that they're dangerous and arbitrarily violent, and their fear of Character makes it easier to justify restricting autonomy

It is TRUE, cause Character does not have tools to set boundaries or protect their body other than violence. vicious cycle of being perceived as dangerous and therefore denied autonomy, and being forced to use violence to defend autonomy

the restraints used to hold Character look like major overkill, which underscores how dangerous they are. LOVE this trope

character being desexualized to the point that their non-consent to touch, to being stripped down and examined, or to procedures is trivialized. There is no non-clinical context for their body, and the "clinical" framework eclipses any possibility for bodily violation to be understood as violent.

types of uncanniness: Character looks human but has some subtle inhuman traits or characteristics. (I'm obsessed with reflective eye shine, personally.) OR Character looks like they've been taken apart and put back together, like flesh pulled over a much more unforgiving and indestructible metal scaffold. OR Character gives off "undead" vibes; they're just not quite alive in a way that sets off air raid sirens in people's brains

Often, Character is dead and Came Back Wrong (varying levels of literalness)

For as much as i love the headcanons and art of teen Kenny with piercings (and sometimes tattoos) It doesn't really make sense. Those things are really expensive and everytime he dies he would come back without them so its basecally a waste of money for him to do that
