after the group g.na was supposed to debut in felt apart bc the comepany went under, she became cube's first female soloist and just like many female singers in korea, she developed stage fright. there was sadly a lot of bodyshaming, she happened to have large boobs and when she allegedly got a reduction some weirdos would leave comments like she commited some sort of bethrayal. idk if she had a reduciton, she lost a lot of weight for top girl comeback it was super noticeable. there was also a lot of age shaming going on, she was the oldest cube idol and she said that she enjoys helping out trainees bc they make her feel young lmao. and also as a korean canadian she had hard time time adjusting after coming to korea. her dad passed away when she was little and her mom worked around the clock to support the family.

If u start to cry he’ll first awkwardly do that thing that people do when they don’t know how to console someone and rub your arm and he’s like “Uhh, do u want water?” Bc he’s sad bc UR sad and doesn’t know what to do and it’s like what he’s doing isn’t that helpful but the tone in his voice is v consoling and comforting bc he’s suddenly kinda quiet 4 once

If ur sobbing he’ll hold u and u cry into his shirt and later he’ll talk about how you got it all wet but like when he goes home in the mirror and sees the tear stains it reminds him ur hurt and breaks his heart

He will study with you. And by studying it’s just him like sitting with you while you study. He doesn’t think you should study but if that’s how you want to solve this and feel better he’s down. He won’t read anything but if u have flash cards he will read them back to you and ask u questions and he doesn’t know the right answer himself (unless it’s math he’s probably rlly rlly good at math.) so u have to write them on the back. But he’s pretty good at helping u study

And if ur doing flash cards, he won’t tell u the answer until u guess it and he’s good at hinting to it and he gets annoyed VERY easily when ur not saying the answer u wrote on the back but bites it down

If ur parents make u stay home more and study as like a consequence of gettig a bad grade, he won’t have any of it

He will either confront ur parents and that either makes things somewhat better or incredibly worse

So if that’s what happens he’ll text u a lot and face time u in secret and call u a lot so even tho ur not together, every time u come home from school and open a book ur phone is hidden in the bend of it and ur fting and sometimes u don’t even talk he’s just FaceTiming u so u won’t b alone while u study and bc he misses u

Overall, he really couldn’t give a shit about grades but if need be, he’ll help u with urs, he’d be the best math tutor if ur looking, if ur parents lock u up a lot to study more bc they’re mad he will use any other option to see u, and he’ll try his best to console u despite not being that knowledgeable or understanding why you’re upset. His go to comfort option is distraction, but if it’s futile he’ll do whatever it is u wanna do. Assures you that grades aren’t that important, or tries to, but it’s so horrible coming from him because he has such good grades and it always is gonna feel like he’s just saying that no matter what

Will study with you to make you feel better but it’s hard because he’s really far ahead tbh :(( like he explains assuming u already have some ground knowledge. U guys start spending time at the library and when his dad questions him he’s like I’m studying and he really is and it’s like a study date and it actually ends up being RLLY fun

Might even print u worksheets and stuff and leaves nice notes on them when he gives them to u like every chapter has another ‘u can do it’ of ‘ur already here?! Omg! Ur far ahead keep going!’ And lots of smiley faces and hearts in the margins

He is not above helping u cheat. He will give u answers in school, risking being caught nd getting in trouble, like he’ll find a way to sit as close to u as possible in class and “drop” his pen besides u that just happens to have a paper inside with all of the answers!!!!

And when you see it you’re so happy and you look at him and wink trying it be inconspicuous and it’s so obvious and he’s like omg (y/n) pls… but he’s happy ur happy and ur grades improve so much bc he gets every answer right and so of course you are getting them right too

gunner was always more of an artsy child than invested in sports - though he does enjoy baseball and continued even to this day after their dad made him join SOMETHING in middle school - so he never rly earned their father’s respect, but he was always close with his mom since they had the same calm temperament

(violence/abuse tw) their father always encouraged pretty volatile behaviour and it caused a lot of physical fights and arguments between the brothers when their dad told them the best way to get over it was to start hurting until someone tapped out, it was just a chaotic and pretty abusive household but no one knew and their mom definitely wasn’t going to say anything about it to their dad

(missing child/kidnapping/anxiety/depression tw)  wyatt went missing on a weekend that their parents were gone because of a trip they won, and things just got worse from there, high school was really rough for gunner, his anxiety grew worse as time went on that no one found wyatt, their dad grew more hostile towards them, cliff left home in the middle of the night never to be seen again (merely leaving a note so that the family didn’t think they had a case of two kidnapped children), and their mom just grew sicker, it was rare that she would ever leave her room and if she did it was in fits of random energy where she would do something spontaneous and completely unnecessary to their house as a way of coping

the two years that gunner was at home after cliff left were pretty brutal and as soon as he could, he was fleeing wyoming and going to school in irving

(internalized homophobia tw)  things are far better now that he’s out of his home situation, but ofc he still has a few personal things he’s working thru; the paxton’s were raised in an incredibly religious household, and he’s got some classic Catholic Guilt going on upon realizing that he’s not jst attracted to women n he avoided talking abt it forever/stayed in the closet fr far too long bt he’s sort of come out now in his own way even tho he does still get a bit nervous talking abt it rly

being the son of a chaebol everyone expected junyeol’s life to be sunshine and roses, he would have it easy - his father had money and power, his mom was pretty and they resided in a four story penthouse in the middle of myeongdong. the life of oh junyeol was meant to be one for the books, one with a story already written for him before he had even taken his first breath.

what his family lacked for in love and actual affection for one another it made up with money, the boy’s father was positive there was nothing money couldn’t buy and that included happiness. he bought him and his sister all the gifts in the world thinking it would make up for his absence. it had never really worked for the boy, starting a young age the boy suffered from intense anger attacks, blinding rages from which he never truly recovered. not even the anger attacks were enough to get his parents to actually take a second and pay him attention - they were too busy with making money to send their son to therapy, to get him help for something that was so clearly a bother in his life.

the one thing he had always found solace in was music, his au pair having taught him how to play the piano hoping that it would give him a little peace of mind. later on he taught himself how to play guitar. he was ten years old when he wrote his first song. he was eleven when he auditioned for a big entertainment company, and it took him less than twenty-four hours to find out he had been accepted (he figured his dad had something to do with that, but he wasn’t complaining).

the boy got to drugs, drinking and a whole lot of other fucked up shit. his anger got worse, and as a tip on the ice berg he ruined the one good thing he had going for him – in a drunk rage he accidentally lashed out and hit the one person he had ever been able to get feelings for. his father shipped him off to new york. hoping that across the borders he wouldn’t be able to create any other damage.

he’s been in new york for two years now and his drug use hadn’t really gotten better , neither have his self destructive tendencies -- but after something similar happening again in one of his drunk rages he came to the conclusion that maybe he does have a substance abuse problem nd he’s currently in the process of getting clean. he’s about two months sober, but he still very much has a problem and it’s kind of a battle every day. he is also trying to restart his music and songwriting again, but if you ask him it’s nothing serious and it’s nothing good either.
