Thinking about afraid of the dentist!Bruce and like
Bruce Wayne's dentist seeing all the #DoTheButtsMatch twitter trends and wanting so fucking badly to violate HIPPA and join in like
Tumblr media
(ID in alt)
Because 1) honestly she loves the man but FUCK it's so annoying. She'd take a bitey toddler patient actively throwing a tantrum over Bruce Wayne any day, I mean she understands nervous patients because the man is so damn eccentric to boot she's never sure what kind of response to prepare for,
and 2) look, dental records are so very, very specific. Like ,"legally acceptable to identify the body" kind of specific. So she ALSO would absolutely know that Bruce Wayne very much is the Batman, so it would be the same level of trolling as the Wayne kids.

Inflict your misery on your blorbos! The mercs having to go to the dentist?
Based
Scout: that guy who swears he aint afraid , up and down hell preach he has never once cried at the dentist. But also the guy who once the appointment is over he is outta there faster than light.
Soldier: not really afraid, just hates how close the dentist is to his face. ( i can tolerate many things, but seeing each individual pore in someone face who is using a medieval torture device (lil scoop mirror) its something i cant).
Pyro: do they even have teeth?? Sorry lil firebug, but oh well, ya know sweets and pop tarts aint best food for your enamel ( basically a Spy but they needed to have crowns)
Demo: unironically most carefull person with his teeth. I mean yeah, life is tough when you are a one eyed black scotsman with a police record roughly the length of the entire city of Glasgow, you gotta have at least something gucci about your face. Homeboy has never had a single cavity.
Heavy: he isnt afraid per say, but gulag life never had dental care in the healthcare provider section. His idea of a dentist is using pliers on a tooth , so id argue based. Mouthwash guy who doesnt rinse because , he wants his breath extra fresh
Engie: sanest man in the whole group (not) but was forced to have the ugliest braces known to man so each time he prays he doesnt get flashbacks
Medic: he may have done some oral/dental healthcare (with or without patient consent) but he knows the basics of dentistry. Also forced to wear hideous braces becauSE hE iS. A nErD geT iT ??? ( nah homeboy just succed on em pacyfiers so hard his teeth were like a crater)
Sniper: crooked tooth police BUT he is amazing at dental healthcare. A dentists best patient. HE ACTUALLY FLOSSES DAILY, he isnt that unhappy about his teeth but he has a few of them chipped and in his opinion he makes him feel goofy
Spy: will use all torture training techniques in the dentist. Never flosses, never brushes but uses an obsene amount of mouth wash. Has semi trauma (his fake teeth were a necessity cuz imo prolly got them all taken out without consent -he is a spy; pulling teeth was a very common form of torture-) so yea he hates anything sharp/pointy/metallic touching his teefs.

like ok lemme give you a fucking recap of my Dentistry Experience
>be me 9ish. go to dentist for first time since i was 3 bc my mom spent all our child support money on plane tickets. dentist says you have three cavities so big we need to pull your teeth
>they put me on anesthesia that i say doesnt work. it doesnt work so im in excruciating pain while they yank out the three teeth
>i get switched to second dentist and a few years later after x-ray am told my canines are growing into the roof of my mouth and i need surgery and braces to have them fixed. dentist then says i can keep on the braces after i get my canines fixed so my teeth will be straight. i tell him i don't care if my teeth are straight and i want them off as soon as my canines are in the right place
>get the surgery and start going to second dentist. he sometimes cuts pieces of my tongue off and after his visits im in so much pain i cant speak. when i ask when i'm getting my braces off he tells me to stop being impatient and refuses to give me an answer
>eventually he says that my canines should be fine and i say ok please take the braces off. he says no because my teeth aren't straight. my mom says no because my teeth aren't straight.
>dentist welds a metal bar to the top of my mouth. it's positioned so that it cuts into my tongue leaving me with a permanent bloody painful wound in my mouth for the several years it's in despite repeatedly telling him and mom what's happening and begging for them to take it out. they say no because my teeth aren't straight
>dentist welds a metal bar behind my bottom teeth with so much glue that after i finally got another dentist to remove it years later they weren't able to get all the glue off and it took several more appointments. also just to straighten my teeth
>YEARS LATER i get the dentist to remove the metal bar. it leaves a scar on my tongue that hasn't healed almost a decade later.
>YEARS LATER i get the dentist to remove the braces.
>after that they immediately give me a retainer they say i need to wear all day. i say for how long they say for the rest of my life. i say Why. they say because otherwise your teeth won't stay straight
>i do not wear the retainer because i already didn't care about my teeth being straight before all this happened and sure fucking didn't now. so my canines are still crooked so yeah all of that was for nothing

sorry but its so weird when americans are like hahah bri’ish people have such bad teeth lawl :3 because like dentistry is free (low income)/heavily subsidised(higher income) here so in theory there is no one who doesnt have access to the non-cosmetic dentistry that they need to like. be healthy and protect their teeth. but cosmetic dentistry would be a very upper class thing here because its not like it costs 2 grand either way to get braces so u may as well also pay £200 to get or teeth whitened or whatever, like my last dentist appt was like £15.  so i feel like something doesnt add up because i see americans on tv with crazy white perfect teeth but then i go on here and people are desperately begging for money bc their teeth are literally rotting so painfully they cant sleep or something................... so whenever people make those jokes i always feel so weird about it like do you really not have any compassion or are you that ignorant of the people in your country who are in seriously suffering from debilitating medical issues meanwhile ur making fun of a system that chooses to prioritise medical dentistry for everyone at the expense of cosmetic dentistry for some.........like does that make sense im not saying this to be mean to americans i just think its a  bit weird to be obsessed with teeth being perfect when huge swathes of people cant afford any dental care at all....

School and Academic Validation
Sooo, yesterday, i received a call from my school asking me to collect a certificate for my sister, who had graduated 5 years ago (yes, it was weird and the certificate was kindof pointless as shes now in her final year of dentistry). When i heard this, the very first thought that came into my mind was - "I dont wanna meet my teachers". I was puzzled to why this thought came across my mind, as i really liked my teachers, well, most of them atleast. The first reason i could think of is that i just wanted to avoid conversation like the pathetic introvert i am, but ive been trying to overcome my fear of social anxiety and flat out avoiding to meet people, however i still couldnt get myself to meet them and kept praying i didnt run into any of them during my brief time there. I got to my school, got the document, and was gonna leave but saw a good junior of mine and we started conversing. He was telling me how their board practicals were going on and how the chemistry teachers made them write all 7 salts, just like how they made us write it, and blah blah. He then mentioned his physics practical and told how my older teacher kept on mentioning 2 of my friends names. And that hit me. The reason i didnt wanna meet my teachers, or even go to school, was because i am an academic failure. Both of my bestfrnds got into NUS, and i am so happy fr them. I didnt even apply fr NUS, as it was too expensive. Im sure i would hv gotten in, as im pretty sure im as smart as them, so it never bothered me. But this wasnt how others saw it. Others probably thought that they both got into that amazing college and im in a college no one has even heard of.... And yes, i was never happy with my college, but to think that my teachers would just straight up refuse to acknowledge me coz of that just hurt me. This is also why i hated school so much. My college is good, but people just dont know about it. But somewhere deep inside, it just kills me that i wasnt able to get into NUS.. It was never my dream, hell im not even that sad that i wasnt able to get into my dream college lol. Anyways, my worth isnt determined by what my teachers think of. I dont think im gonna go back anytime soon now lol. However, i cant shake off the feeling of "I could hv been in a better college". So, ive decided, fuck it. Im gonna work my ass off. Im gonna prove it to everyone, and most importantly, to myself, THAT I AM NO PUSHOVER. I have the intellect and the determination to make it big, and i will make it big. Im gonna keep posting from now on, about everything i feel, and everything im doing to get better. I cant find anyone who relates to this twisted web of imposter syndrome, hatred and self loathing, so right now, im on my own. But i do hope that my "blog" reaches someone who is in a similar situation like me.. If im not gonna live for my self, atleast i wanna live for someone who might need me...

So Apparently I have a small infection in my wisdom tooth (it's came in slanted it's breaking apart from chewing and generally being a Shitty Tooth, now it's angry, nothing serious, just Ow) but on the upside I'm taking care of that problem so hopefully I'll stop having Perpetual Tooth Ache On Top Of Everything Else. On the shit side the dentist will probably want to pull it. I've never had a tooth yanked before but I've Heard Of It. Fear.

So I’m about to go in for a wisdom teeth consultation a couple days after my ritual. Just to go over what happens; not the actual thing yet. But I was wondering how the papas would react to their s/o getting wisdom teeth removed? I think I should go into that more. Who would record their s/o because they believe it’s the funniest shit and the one who actually takes care of their s/o?
(I’m actually really freaked out about it. It’s not hurting, but one is definitely coming in pretty quickly and I just hope ya know it’ll be good)
~Dorky anon (Hope you guys are doing well!!! I know these times are hard on many 💕)
OMG dorky anon i missed you I hope youre good aside from the obvious. (I got a wisdom tooth out a few years ago and it sucked but it was more uncomfortable than painful. i got a little mouth so when it was coming in it was pushing all my teeth together really tight so i was just happy to release the pressure. I also didn't have to be knocked out so idk abt that)
Papa I: They didn't have dentistry when he was young, just like, period, but all his teeth are dentures now anyways so he's very experienced with the practice. I'm assuming anyone old enough to be dating this fossil also has dentures or at least isnt young enough to have wisdom tooth issues, so this would literally never be something he would have to deal with. he would for sure babble some weird shit about how wisdom teeth are connected to your brain and soul and have some deeper meaning. you say "Ok grandpa why dont you go sit in your favorite chair" and he shrugs and goes to sit in his favorite chair
Papa II: Would take care of you, but he has no bedside manner, so he would be really weird about it. he would make food and drink accommodations you need, and when you were still high on gas he would probably get sick of it quick. if it lasted long enough he would get drunk so you could be on the same level of completely incoherent.
Papa III: would 100000% film you acting a damn fool. if you said some particularly rancid shit he would set it as his ringtone so whenever you called it would repeat it over and over. he would probably put a funny voice mod over it too. but he would also take care of you the best? in his eyes this is like open heart surgery and you need round the clock care and youre on bed rest for three weeks. he'll treat you like youre in hospice for satan sake. buy you baby food and squirt it into your mouth cause you cant suck (and he will make the unfortunate "so no head?" joke, and you will not laugh) and so you dont have to raise your arms cause knockout aches and pains.
Cardinal Copia: (id just like to take this time to mention that i will never call him papa iv or popia because i dont like canon and nothing thats happened with the band in the past two years is real but anywhore) He would also film you but only because he thinks its cute when youre stupid and he would totally make you watch it later. would send it to all your friends and family to show them how cute you are. would also baby the shit out of you and at the first sign of complication he would rush you to emergency just in case. it's more of a hassle than a help, but at that point, if it shuts him up...
- Rosie, who hopes it goes well and expects to hear all about it when youre recovered

Your country is killing you. Your country does not have your best interest in mind. That is why you have had to hoard all of your wealth. You may not have much. You may not think you have much. That is because your culture has taught you to think in a  deficit or scarcity mindset. The only scarcity is your younger generations suffering for the inequities of capitalism. Capitalism does not have room for the elderly. The family has been abolished. The culture of caring for the elderly devolved into 100 square-foot apartments were three people attend  to 30 or 40 individuals 12-18 hours at a time. Until they die.
Its profitable to keep poor people poor. Poverty charges interest. Cant afford a dentist? Next year you need a root canal. Can’t afford an upfront Costco membership to buy in bulk? Its 40 times more at the individual level. No money in your account? Overdraft fee. Transfer fee. Return check fee. Don’t pay your bill, late fee.
Fuck you.
Giving millions to charity that will trickle into the needy’s outstretched hand a minuscule percentage of what was promised gives you the warm and fuzzies. But I am actually hungry, I actually need help. The difference is: you know me.
You cant “personal finance” your way out of this. you cant tell me that I’m supposed to work overtime and not pee at the hospital or someones home 16 hours a day 7 days a week.
And then I’m supposed to buy a house, 150-300k but by the time my 30 year mortgage rolls around I’ve paid more like 600k to rent my land for which my tax bill can cause me to be foreclosed upon. Its not ownership, its fucking capitalism. You are the capital. You are the product.
License fee, registration, insurance, year after year.. Its a fucking joke.
Loyalty is not rewarded. Meth fueled work binges are.
I recently had a couple managers at a job who smoked meth. They were so manic I feared for my safety. Because they were on uppers and they were emotionally labile to the point of insanity. I get it, they needed the energy. we can’t physically lay stone for 12 hours. Its absurd.
My last job fired me for drinking water and getting my tire fixed, with permission. Mostly for not working overtime for free.
Let me tell you what I would do if I had any money. I would buy seeds. I would buy bitcoin. I would buy a cherry picker. I would get a pneumatic air polisher. There is no end to the amount of stuff that I can do. Money is not some thing that you supposed to keep you’re supposed to spend it on goods and services anybody could employ me to do anything. They don’t want to. Why? because I’m smarter than them. It makes them feel bad about themselves. When their shitty behavior is thrown back in their face, no one should be bullied into working more than they’re contracted for.
In addition; I’m prettier than your average duck. It makes people feel uncomfortable because there is no part of the brain that can comprehend what I look like. there’s no emotional equivalent inside of their mind. They do not have the capability to understand what they’re looking at.
it becomes cute aggression, the other side of the blade I walk every day.
I have seen people become enraged to the point of screaming, for absolutely no reason. I had a girl in nursing school argue with me about what “obtunded” meant. She berated me so flagrantly my teacher actually had to have a personal chat with her. There was no reason for it, I was actually right about the definition, and the condition the patient was in. This happens regularly. I wish I didn’t have such a good memory because I can recount almost every event like this, with terrifying detail
Its called and eidetic emotional memory. And although I don’t have a photographic memory I can remember conversations and events as if they happened yesterday.
My wisdom teeth give me frequent headaches. They need to be removed it’s $3-$8000. No one will take my government insurance in town here so I have to wait 6  or more months for the University Michigan school of dentistry which is 2 hours away. I’ve been cutting these molars into my cheek and tongue for the last 10 years.
Remember how I said poverty charged interest? If you can’t pay your phone bill you can’t get a job you you can’t get a job you can’t pay phone bill.
I won’t even leave my house for fear of crashing my car or getting covid because I know if I don’t have a car that runs or I get sick then I’ll become homeless.
Try getting your car fixed. Try to pay someone to tell you what’s wrong with your car for less than 250 bucks. Try and justify spending hundreds on co-pays for medications  and therapy rather than just simply going to the marijuana dispensary literally around the corner from my house. I don’t drink drinking makes me sick, it’s poison. But marijuana has been Illegal my entire life. My brother handed me my first bowl at 15, I smoked more in New Zealand at 16, when I got home I kept smoking and I never stopped. I’ve been villainized and judged for every single action that I’ve ever taken since I was old enough to think and act for myself. My body was hijacked at a young age, my mind similarly so. By rapists and capitalism.
I have an IQ 130 and I’m a fucking carpenter

Patients often come into the NY University School of Dentistry where I teach to treat their dental emergencies. They often have a particular symptom that is bothering them. The students often want to address the symptom immediately, but often they are required, in non emergency situations, to first do a comprehensive exam and treatment plan.
It is not usual for these new patients at the school to initially express a resistance to taking a full set of radiographs and submitting to a full work up by their student. Often their student also wants to immediately care for the tooth thats bothering them, but our student dentists need to understand the importance of  performing a complete patient assessment prior to performing non emergency dental treatments.   Many problems that patients have are not terribly symptomatic, at least until that time when their conditions worsens and they are forced to seek "emergency care". For this reason and others, most of our emergency treatments are palliative in nature and not definitive care.
Obviously is a patients has an acute infection or a tooth that is causing significant pain, something should be done for them to alleviate their "acute" problem, but once they receive emergency treatment, it is a dentists responsibility to  evaluate a patients entire clinical situation. It's important that our student dentists understand the need for the performance of a complete patient assessment prior to performing the non emergency dental treatments. We should  assess our patient's overall condition and come up with a treatment plan, or multiple different plans that might appropriate . This is principal that our students need to embrace, even when their patient maybe initially resistant.
A patient may say, "I am here to address this one tooth that's bothering me and nothing else for now, but on that occasion if I'm in attendance,  I engage the reluctant patient and explain that often dental  treatments can be expensive and patients should be aware of their over all problems before committing funds to treating just one tooth. Many patients actually have multiple problems that may influence the type of treatment that will ultimately chosen. Teeth that have infections and/or large carious lesions may need multiple costly procedures to remedy and if multiple teeth are similarly involved, a patient needs to become aware of the extent of their problems, before deciding on expensive treatments to save just one tooth. After all, patients may have multiple choices to make, and options when they're deciding which teeth should be saved and which should be extracted.
Once I explain this to patients, most tend to relax, especially after I point out that it no one can force them to have any particular proposed treatment.  Still it is our duty to perform a comprehensive examination to determine the extent of their problems,  so that they can make better informed decisions on their subsequent treatment. Since no one can "force" them to have treatment, the "worst"case scenario   is that our school may not provide the particular treatment they desire ( because in our opinion it is not in their best interest and we try to "do no harm" to our patients) , but  they will still be free to seek a second or third opinion elsewhere.

Nugget 1: If you stumble today, Rise again tomorrow
Covid-19 and Dentistry: Challenges and Opportunities
Our eyes saw how devastating it was to witness how everything changes since this pandemic happened. It changed how we work, learn and interact as social distancing guidelines have led to a more virtual existence, both personally and professionally. Its spread has left us with a lot of struggles in our livelihood, education, mental and emotional health and many more. We felt like we lose life in this matter because we are all unprepared to face this kind of challenge. We were unexpectedly dragged down from the highest to the lowest point of life.
When I was still in high school, we have this recollection event once a month in school. To make the story short, in our gathering the speaker asked us, “Who wants to have this 1000 peso bill free?” We raised our hands. Who wouldn’t want to have that free money right? The speaker then throw the money on the floor, stepped on it, grinded it, and crumpled it. Now he asked us again, “Who still wants to have this 1000 peso bill?” It was already crumpled, full of dirt but we still raised our hands. He then said, “now my dear friends you just learned a very valuable lesson”
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into dirt by the decisions we make and the reactions to the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, our feet remains on the ground. We never lose our value. Same goes when this pandemic affected almost everything of our life. We felt the pain and the struggle. We felt like we can’t do something about it because of the new protocols being implemented by the government. We cant live the same way like before. Nevertheless, we still found a new door of opportunities to start again. We never gave up. We may lose something valuable in life, at least it opens another door for us to keep living.
As an aspiring dentist, I already have set my mind to expect failures, hardships, and downfall moments in this journey though I still find the new way of learning difficult. It was so hard for me to cope up. I feel like giving up and throw everything away. Up to a point where I questioned myself, “What’s the purpose of life anyway if we are just stuck at home with these modules to which no matter how much effort I put to study and learn something about it, it just doesn’t work”. It is so hard to learn by yourself because our course really needs physical guidance by the teachers or professionals. Amidst the adversities, this pandemic made me realize more in life. It awakens my faith to rest everything to God. I feel like I was learning the hard way, so I can come out stronger. So to my fellow Studentist who struggles the same way as mine, believe that you can do more to what life has to offer. Trust yourself and your capabilities. Do more than what you’re currently doing. Because remember, the more work you put in yourself the more it attracts new opportunities to come your way. Embrace challenges, keep your feet on the ground and dream big!

I really think the new copypasta should be this fucking comment from the Resident Evil modding boards on a mod that makes the mayor’s daughter more beautiful because it personally ruined my life
many international conglomerations, including offices which own gaming studios, have been pushing an agenda of mediocrity and downright ugliness as the norm. as a student of mew, myofunctionary and postural therapies, as well as a someone who has researched extensively the effects of conventional and unorthodox orthodontistry, i can say there is objective scientific proof that one's face changes from how one breaths, chews, eats, holds the lips together or their dietary choices. it's not just genetic and hormonal. it is of paramount importance that one understands that beauty(and yes there is an ideal standard based on proportions[width, forward growth and compaciton but i cant get into that as it would take very long]) should be the norm in society, however this culture of soft processed foods that don't even require any chewing, this diet focused on plant and soy products at the expense of meat and diary, which contain important growth factors, orthodonic malpractice making lazy extraction dentistry something positive, and general ignorance of changes in facial proportions brought about by palatal width, extrusion, and intrusion, has produced a culture of narrow, long faced, gracile people who have been led to believe it was their genetics that has given them their faces. for if they realized the truth that it was that doctor in their youth who pulled out 4 molars, or that phase of allergy in their pubertal years forcing them to mouth breath, that really ruined their looks, would make them very angry indeed....angry enough to make changes to the world and make these conglomerates their bitch. but that's another story. people have a right to be beautiful and these institutions and corporations who champion ugliess and degeneracy have denied us this right by keeping us in the dark, outright lying to us, and forcing us to wallow in ignorance alongside them. it will take half a decade of hard work and hundreds if not thousands of dollars in the right megadoses of vitamin k2 mk4 and mk7 to rectify these issues in the average human. some may even require surgery. i mean look at the model, they purposely gave her negative canthil tilt, which is not present on the real model. they want us to think these flaws that come from improper function/myofunction which leads to poor form, because form follows function, are normal. infact negative canthil tilt is most often the result of zygomatic retrusion and downgraft, a symptom of narrow palate or clockwise titled maxilliary extrusion. and that comes from chewing soft foods and not taking enough vitamin k2 as a child

Ensuring that your child's baby teeth remain healthy until it is their time to fall out is much more significant than you might imagine. If baby teeth experience decay or become damaged and Sedona must be removed before they're ready, tooth alignment and your child's bite may be impacted negatively. Often scheduled dental visits are equally as important for children as for adults, if not more significant. Visiting with the dentist at a younger age has a larger impact because our services go beyond brushing teeth. We help kids develop oral hygiene habits to avoid future issues. Pediatric dentists concentrate on remedies that are child-specific while dentists focus for common adult conditions. Children's mouths are still changing and growing, and as such they need a dentist who specializes in look after a growing mouth. Dr. Lindsey has spent decades treating kids exclusively, Sedona and that she knows how to care for children.
Not known Details About Dentistry

Does Jessica ever join Mason and Donald for activities when the other are adventuring?
Part of the reason mason is staying with Donald is because Jessica is going back to medical school to become a doctor, so she’s really busy between running her own dentistry practice and school and wants Mason to have someone in her life that can give her more of their time-  Jessica will come visit her!they have a really close relationship and it sucks they cant hang out as much, so they see each other every chance they get and Jessica makes a point for them all to hang out as a family every so often!
this was a long reply just to say yes kdsjfsakd
