Okay this is a hard question so.

Honestly in the set of how i expected them to sound like and then hearing the actual piece Qiyana has the crown. I cannot stand her and as a person who lives in a colonizer country i must let people who know better than me speak about how Qiyana feels so akward. I wont express my thoughts about it but i talked to a mutual when Qiyana was released (they live in a latin american country) and considered her interactions and some of her lines to be considerately racist or mockery, i wont overextend about that cause again, im not one to precisely speak. I can talk about her personality and i feel it so dettached to her lore cause i dont understand why they gave her Akali copy and paste personality, i think she needs ironically more sass. She feels dull, unsavory, you barely get anything from her lore in her lines, if anything Qiyana suits good on her True Damage skin maybe with that kind of personality, but it clashes roughly with her lore at least in my opinion. I guess they tried to run with the 'make her iconic and bitchy' thinking people will love her instead of threading her lore and lines together. The only good thing i can give her is her joke line with the hiccups, thats funny.

In other set as a champion that i did know how they sounded like yet i still feel a bit misplaced about is Teemo. I guess thats normal since he hasnt gotten any lore updates in like. Never. Its kind of a bother that he looks like a blank sheet of paper and partially its because of the meme/community image of Teemo, he has no personality besides random lines about being a scout and being fast and thats very sad. It is why Omega Squad Teemo is such a good skin, it felt so unexpected for Teemo to actually get a dramatic/intense skin lore, its the way most people who like Teemo views his lore in Runeterra, Omega Squad personality just lighter and more whimsical maybe. Hopefully we get something with his update althrough i think its only visual, yet im also afraid they might leave his personality as a white sheet of paper with random lines if they get updated.

I would say Rumble sounds weird if i did actually remember any of his lines but i think they're like 2 minutes of very small lines in a loop and probably the longest is his death animation voice. Boohoo.

- about 5 at the time of mha (she effectively grows up with shinso as an older brother and eri as a slightly older sister)

- around 30 by the time the events of ‘our hero academia’ start

- has a siren quirk (that i really shouldve given to yuto, shinso’s kid). she has to make eye contact with someone and then she can use her voice to manipulate them into doing things. she used it the first time to get mina to give her cookies (which is how class 1-a discovered her existence by accident sometime prior to the overhaul arc)

- does not get paid enough to teach the next generation of class 1-a. is about to start greying at her big age.

- oh yeah — her dad (shota, who she addresses as father most of the time) almost dies the last time they go out together on a job. hes had a lot of close calls lately, but she hasnt been in the country for a while so most shes only now just hearing about.

- she and eri are best friends!! their quirks arent really mushing together well, but they love each other like sisters and are so normal about each other. aiko loves the art eri makes and eri loves the music aiko makes.

- she and hitoshi are interestingly enough, sort of close? considering she teaches his son these days it makes some sense she supposes, but usually she can rely on him for more emotional/logical matters.

- all three of them are mischievous bastards. they gave shota and hizashi a run for their money before aiko left home. hitoshi would usually claim complete innocence even though he usually convinced the girls to help him with some pretty inane plans lol.

- closer to hizashi, very Sunshine-y lovey kinda gal, but she also bleached her hair at 18 and never looked back. made music in america for a while (tried to make it big in L.A) before she moved back to get her license to teach. yet she has a lot of shota’s tendencies, she cares about her students a great deal and will often to go to any lengths to protect them. but oftentimes she lets her heart run away with things, unlike how shota gets things done. they butt heads over this a lot.

- but, aiko was never a big pro hero. she was more local when she did make it back to japan and in the years between arriving home and then teaching at UA (around four years, 22-26) even though hizashi thought she could make it big. the siren perk was just that, a perk. though she did attend UA, she was in class 1-c like shinso. she has to rely on her cables (unfortunately, think aot) to get around as a hero.

- she and shota argue a lot because he thinks she wasted a lot of her prime years a hero just to spite him. logically hes right but she hates that hes right. she didnt want to be a big name like them, but the gentle (and not so gentle) push towards it in the high school shoved her over the edge and she never actually went back to the iida agency after work studying there for years.

my first purchased horse was the original friesian model! i adore that horse and i find the long wavy mane and fluffy hooves majestic (i now own all the 3 friesian models)

i stopped playing after the release of the friesian and before the harvest countries release (i dont remember why i stopped i was really excited for the new area 😔)

i started playing again in a few years (my old name was diane diamondbridge)

in 2018 i replayed the game and i loved it! sso went through a lot of changes in the past few years and its interesting to see

Support for authoritarian ideas in America is closely tied to the countrys long-running racial conflicts.

This chart, from a September 2020 paper by Vanderbilt professor Larry Bartels, shows a statistical analysis of a survey of Republican voters, analyzing the link between respondents score on a measure of ethnic antagonism and their support for four anti-democratic statements .

The graphic shows a clear finding: The higher a voter scores on the ethnic antagonism scale, the more likely they are tosupport anti-democratic ideas. This held true even when Bartels used regression analyses to compare racial attitudes to other predictors, like support for Trump. The strongest predictor by far of these antidemocratic attitudes is ethnic antagonism, he writes.

The picture she paints of the typical Democratic voter being an immigrant, who goes along with their party or simply hates Trump will seem like a strange caricature to most Democratic voters. But her answer seems to lack the animus of many.

Its understandable why Democrats have ascribed a life-or-death quality to S. 1, the For the People bill that would impose a wide range of requirements on state voting procedures. The dozensor hundredsof provisions enacted by Republican state legislatures and governors represent a determination to ensure that the GOP thumb will be on the scale at every step of the voting process. The proposed law would roll that back on a national level by imposing a raft of requirements on statesno excuse absentee voting, more days and hours to votebut would also include public financing of campaigns, independent redistricting commissions and compulsory release of presidential candidates’ tax returns.

There are all sorts of Constitutional questions posed by these ideas. But theres a more fundamental issue here: The Constitutional clause on which the Democrats are relyingArticle I, Section 4, Clause 1gives Congress significant power over Congressional elections, but none over elections for state offices or the choosing of Presidential electors.

Amid a rising media furor over the steady stream of vaccine disparagement from GOP politicians and Fox News talking heads, a number of prominent Republicans spoke up in favor of vaccines early this week.

On Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters, “shots need to get in everybody’s arm as rapidly as possible” and asked that people “ignore all of these other voices that are giving demonstrably bad advice.” House Minority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, got the vaccine after months of delay and then publicly said, “there shouldn’t be any hesitancy over whether or not it’s safe and effective.” And Fox News host Sean Hannity, in a widely shared video, declared, it “absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated.” This was treated in the press as an unequivocal endorsement, even though the use of the word “many” was clearly meant to let the Fox News viewers feel like he’s talking about other people getting vaccinated. 

Is this an exciting pivot among the GOP elites?  Are they abandoning the sociopathic strategy of sabotaging President Joe Biden’s anti-pandemic plan by encouraging their own followers to get sick? Are the millions of Republicans who keep telling pollsters they will never get that Democrat shot going to change their minds now?

Jeffersonian democracy was not a one-man operation. It was a large political party with many local and state leaders and various factions, and they did not always agree with Jefferson or with each other.

Jefferson was accused of inconsistencies by his opponents. The “Old Republicans” said that he abandoned the Principles of 1798. He believed the national security concerns were so urgent that it was necessary to purchase Louisiana without waiting for a Constitutional amendment. He enlarged federal power through the intrusively-enforced . He idealized the “yeoman farmer” despite being himself a gentleman plantation owner. The disparities between Jefferson’s philosophy and practice have been noted by numerous historians. Staaloff proposed that it was due to his being a proto-; claimed that it was a manifestation of pure hypocrisy, or “pliability of principle”; and Bailyn asserts it simply represented a contradiction with Jefferson, that he was “simultaneously a radical utopian idealist and a hardheaded, adroit, at times cunning politician”. However, Jenkinson argued that Jefferson’s personal failings ought not to influence present day thinkers to disregard Jeffersonian ideals.

, a European nobleman who opposed democracy, argues that “Jeffersonian democracy” is a misnomer because Jefferson was not a democrat, but in fact believed in rule by an elite: “Jefferson actually was an Agrarian Romantic who dreamt of a republic governed by an elite of character and intellect”.

Reality Check #4: The Electoral College And The Senate Are Profoundly Undemocraticand Were Stuck With Them

Because the Constitution set up a state-by-state system for picking presidents, the massive Democratic majorities we now see in California and New York often mislead us about the partys national electoral prospects. In 2016, Hillary Clintons 3-million-vote plurality came entirely from California. In 2020, Bidens 7-million-vote edge came entirely from California and New York. These are largely what election experts call wasted votesDemocratic votes that dont, ultimately, help the Democrat to win. That imbalance explains why Trump won the Electoral College in 2016 and came within a handful of votes in three states from doing the same last November, despite his decisive popular-vote losses.

The response from aggrieved Democrats? Abolish the Electoral College! In practice, theyd need to get two-thirds of the House and Senate, and three-fourths of the state legislatures, to ditch the process that gives Republicans their only plausible chance these days to win the White House. Shortly after the 2016 election, Gallup found that Republican support for abolishing the electoral college had dropped to 19 percent. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, a state-by-state scheme to effectively abolish the Electoral College without changing the Constitution, hasnt seen support from a single red or purple state.

History Of The Democratic And Republican Parties

The Democratic Party traces its origins to the anti-federalist factions around the time of Americas independence from British rule. These factions were organized into the Democrat Republican party by Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and other influential opponents of the Federalists in 1792.

The Republican party is the younger of the two parties. Founded in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers, the Republican Party rose to prominence with the election of Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president. The party presided over the American Civil War and Reconstruction and was harried by internal factions and scandals towards the end of the 19th century.

Since the division of the Republican Party in the election of 1912, the Democratic party has consistently positioned itself to the left of the Republican Party in economic as well as social matters. The economically left-leaning activist philosophy of Franklin D. Roosevelt, which has strongly influenced American liberalism, has shaped much of the party’s economic agenda since 1932. Roosevelt’s New Deal coalition usually controlled the national government until 1964.

The Republican Party today supports a pro-business platform, with foundations in economic libertarianism, and fiscal and social conservatism.

Adams And The Revolution Of 1800

Shortly after Adams took office, he dispatched a group of envoys to seek peaceful relations with France, which had begun attacking American shipping after the ratification of the Jay Treaty. The failure of talks, and the French demand for bribes in what became known as the XYZ Affair, outraged the American public and led to the Quasi-War, an undeclared naval war between France and the United States. The Federalist-controlled Congress passed measures to expand the army and navy and also pushed through the Alien and Sedition Acts. The Alien and Sedition Acts restricted speech that was critical of the government, while also implementing stricter naturalization requirements. Numerous journalists and other individuals aligned with the Democratic-Republicans were prosecuted under the Sedition Act, sparking a backlash against the Federalists. Meanwhile, Jefferson and Madison drafted the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions, which held that state legislatures could determine the constitutionality of federal laws.

Was The Donkey Originally A Jackass

Thomas Nast was an American cartoonist who joined the staff of Harpers Weekly in 1862. Nasts cartoons were very popular and his depiction of Santa Claus is still the most widely used version of the holiday icon we see today. During his career, Nast also drew many political cartoons that harshly criticized the policies of both parties.

Nast first used a donkey to represent the Democratic party as a whole in the 1870 cartoon A Live Jack-Ass Kicking a Lion in which Nast criticized the dominantly Democratic Southern newspaper industry as the Copperhead Press. While he did popularize the donkey, Nast wasnt the first person to use it in reference to the Democrats.

Over 40 years earlier during the presidential campaign of 1828, opponents of Democrat Andrew Jackson referred to him as a jackass. In the presidential campaign of 1796, Jefferson lost the electoral college vote to Federalist John Adams by 7168 and was thus elected vice president. As presiding officer of the Senate, he assumed a more passive role than his predecessor John Adams. He allowed the Senate to freely conduct debates and confined his participation to procedural issues, which he called an “honorable and easy” role. I guess if the last time i wrote on this was in January is ok. I feel like ive been really struggling for the last week and a bit. This most recent lockdown has really impacted me - i feel like i cant hold onto anything too long, i feel jaded, i feel like its hard to see a light out or a way forward.

It’s hard to feel lonely and isolated from my family again. I can’t see them and even if i could, i know it would be tricky because of our weird dynamics. It upsets me to hear saphta covid denying. i want so badly to protect all of them but i know i cant. I know i cant do anything to stop covid or keep them safe. I know to keep me safe i have to stay here in Melbourne, but it feels odd. I feel almost orphan beng seperated like this. I belong to a family. I belong to many families but my connection feels so weird. It feels weird to miss them. Its something that i try to not tell them. Which i know is wrong of me to be withholding, but to say i miss them is to also say in part i miss dysfunction. Obviously we are all in a better place then all those years ago. But there are still some chaotic elements there.

I sit here riddlin around in my head with thoughts non stop. The anti depressants have been pretty good at keeping the background prattle quiet but its happening more atm. I am getting my tasks done. But my emotions are flip floppy. I finish all my work im overjoyed, several hours later im despondent and inconsolable. i was proud of my media release and then i feared my friends would tear it apart.

I know Noam loves me. I know he cares for me. I know he is also going through his own things at times. But i keep doing this dumb thing where i start shit. Asking him like tonight if he thinks im too emotional and telling him that i dont know how he does it with me. I as a kid was a sponge and took on everything around me that people said, i was so eager to please that i adapted these parts into my personality, into who i am. Dad worries that im too emotional. He says “does he not mind that youre so emotional”. I know this is more about my dad then about me. I know mum was “too much” for him so now he has a relationship with a woman who personally i dont think is particularly healthy, butit seems they dont fight and thats what he needs. But my dad, although he has always been there for me and is my rock sometimes thinks im too sensitive to things. And then i start worrying that noam will start thinking that. Even though nothing has happened. But my brain prattles on thinking that i am too much, and i dont know how he can date me and im WAY too emotional. Then he says he doesnt think that way and i get anxious, i get annoyed for bringing it up, i start thinking ive doomed everything. It’s over and i wish i hadnt brought it up in the first place cause now i feel vulnerable and wide open and see through. Just because i feel like im too emotional, like my mood swings and my depression will at some point be too much for him and he will walk away.

I know that we have lots of beautiful memories. Most of our times are fun. We explore a lot and dont need much but eeach other to enjoy each others company. But then i do these things, this is the second time this week ive been like this and i just think why does he bother with me. I am just so much work. My friends didnt reply to a message and then i felt left out. THis most recent turmoil came because i sent noam a video of me singing, but when i listened back i didnt like how i sounded. Im still paranoid that everytime the downstairs neighbour opens the door downstairs its to give me a hint to stop, even though she has all her phone calls outside.

Singing is such a weird thing for me. Its so personal and ive always been critiqued. I couldnt act for all those years because i had to get my singing right and being the perfectionist i was it never was good enough. I tried though. Then seeing pip wasnt good for my mental health, yes my voie sounded great but i had to go to such mental leeps and bounds to get there. I am out of practice. I stopped singing as much last year. Mostly because i was trying to be mindfull of housemates, when at times they werent mindful of me. No one asked me but i did it. And also because i didnt want jacuqi commenting on it. Also because i couldnt allow myself to love theatre, because it keeps falling through and even now i am so anxious about writing a show or doing a show because the state of our country and covid gives me no hope.

I dont like how i sound and i know i could work on it. I could work on the singing and instead of nitpicking, reckon with the fact that i havent worked on my singing properly and im trying to find joy doing it. Maybe im best off not recording myself and playing it back to myself when i sing to noam. and just send it and be done with it. It triggered an old response from uni. something i havent experienced for a while.

To be honest, this last lockdown and comign out of it hasnt given me much hope. Jessie calls me to compare lockdowns, how theres is the worst, saphta says we live in comunist australia and shes so lonely and i wish i could hlep but i know i cant do much. Im giving a lot to my clients becuase i dont want them to feel low post lockdown, i want them to feel good and enjoy moving, but im having a harder time picking myself up each time. Getting back into it. It takes more strain, more resilience. Its harder each time to bounce back. I just cant imagine ever going back to normal. Or when ill see my family which stresses me out.

Boycott Adam 2018

Heads up, this might be triggering to some, I briefly discuss a rape trial that occurred recently in Ireland, no details, just a heads up.

Adam (2018) the book and the problematic film that is about to be released, is already causing waves, with it being claimed that is an lgbtq movie must see, and members of that community calling for it to be boycotted due to its content and damaging message of rape, and all lesbians just need a good dick, conversion therapy

And in this house, it is also causing arguments. 

Was discussing it with my male gay friend of 15 years, telling him about the plot etc, and we come to the point in the discussion about the straight man, pretending to be a trans man, fucking his lesbian girlfriend, claiming its a toy when actually its his real penis. 

I said it is rape,

Imagine my surprise when my friend says, “No it’s not.”

Me, “Yes it is!”

Him “No its not! she consented to sex!”

Me “She consented to sex, and penetration with a toy , not a real dick.”

Him, “She consented to sex and penetration, it doesnt matter what she was penetrated with, she still consented.!”

I was taken aback by his lack of empathy, bearing in mind Ireland just witnessed an horrific rape case consisting of 2 very well known Rugby stars, multitudes of derogatory and filthy text messages claiming to be ‘banter’, deleted messages, wiped phones, stories not collaborating and a victim that was grilled for 9 days in the box, whilst under character assassination on a national scale. 

The country watched with bated breath as this wasnt just a rape case, this took on a different face entirely, on the back of the #metoo movement, about men in power getting away with whatever, about women in this country being treated like second class citizens.  

Its was polarising, 

It has become about gender. about man v’s woman.

But also it was about consent, what constitutes consent, saying yes and then saying no means guys can carry on regardless, if one thing is consented to then app EVERYTHING is consented to, regardless if the woman says no. 

When the verdict came down, less than 3 hours of deliberation...  most women felt it was a huge blow, some even wept, women arent worth anything. abuse victims/survivors, its not worth going to the cops. To rapists, you can keep raping and abusing, there shall be no consequences.... 

Our bodies are not protected by the law or by police, but if you steal from a shop you will go to jail, yet steal a womans autonomy and you will get off scott free!

Our bodies are worth less than bread. 

Some men used it as a way of keeping score, as if somehow they had won a victory. 

An Irish Times reporter witnessed a man approach a woman holding #i still believe her, sign, outside the court house. He yelled at this woman 

“Ha! We won! Get back in the kitchen!”

The vitriolic hate spewed online towards the victim was sickening! This case caused protests. 

I am stunned at my friends reply,  esp with this so fresh in our minds an news cycle. 

so i said to my friend.. 

Me, “What if Adam came in her, she ended up pregnant and had no idea how it happened?” 

Him, “How would she not know how it happened?”

Me, “She has slept with a trans man, using a toy... She hasnt had sex with a real penis. So now she is pregnant, realising that some where along the way she has been raped, no doubt her mental state is gonna be messed up, and now she has to make the choice between having an abortion or carrying her rapists child.”

Him “She cant have an abortion, thats just wrong! She should have the child and give it to him, or put it up for adoption!”

Me “asdfghjk ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!”

Ireland , this week is voting on Repeal the 8th law, the fricking Abortion law..

 It is yet another issue that is polarising, women and men screaming at each other. 

 women have died because of this law. Women with cancer refused treatment.

 Savita left for two agonising days whilst the fetal heartbeat died and she followed not long after due to infection, which could have been avoided. 

170,000 women forced to travel to England in order to have one, some too young, some too old, some too poor, some too ill, some having been raped.

How can a gay , white man stand there and tell me, a woman, what I can and cannot di with MY vagina!

imho solas was already a shit character and a shit villain. the old gods or whatever is cool like flemeth in da:o (da2 is another long post) and all but they really just drop a whole lot of exposition on you in a dlc and then you’re just on your own to suck ur own dick cause he went n fucked off in a mirror (pay to win scenario once again) and ur arm is falling off or w/e he’s just unlikable and ugly and is just mean to other ppl for no good reason but this turns on ppl i guess and the only reason the romance option exists is for the ~drama~ which also is poorly written. he’s a terrible villain because there isnt a lot of explanation to his true intentions until said dlc and just mere hints when you’re literally unable to piece the puzzle together because of lack of info which is lame because you cant be suspicious of him (and yes im aware this is for the #DRAMA but it was done badly because cough cough you gotta pay money for it c ough cough) unless if you’ve already played the game or got spoiled and it just feels like they’re just milkin the money out of ur pocket like a cow to get a disappointing ending when in reality the big bad guy was a guy that was snooping on you with his “spies” which he reveals to you for some reason which is also boring when a villain just explains his entire plan to u for no reason and is also lazy writing (like how i mentioned earlier that how much better it would be if you were able to get suspicious of solas throughout the game but you werent handed everything on a silver platter. i.e conversations, notes on his desk, literally anything would be better than the dlc. players feel accomplished when they are able to figure out anything before the game tells it to them and that’s just a basic fact-it’s like figuring out who the murderer is in a sherlock holmes story before they tell you who it is. obviously knowing SOLAS = BIG BAD GUY isnt the intention im going for, but if you are given a more inkling to be suspicious until solas fucks off in the last cutscene in da:i it’d make loads of difference and honestly, i would appreciate him as a villain more than i do now). anyway, the ending of the dlc makes the player feel like an idiot for not knowing something they couldnt have possibly known. im aware that was the intent to make you feel shocked but when you have a character that is literally a dick to everyone and is in no way likable and isnt even conventionally attractive like this man lookin like a deadass rat and yet throughout the game your character is over here with a giant ass army (allied with mages or templars and even possibly the grey wardens) and have killed dragons, befriended a dragon, killed corypheus, and have like countries bending to yr knee and are bffs with the divine which has a lot of influential power am i supposed to feel threatened by some old fuck who is like ‘bluh bluh im gonna end the world’ outta no where and, on the flip side, bioware really hasnt given you a lot of reasons to like solas. so......am i supposed to care about this man??? this so called villain??? after everything that happens in da:i and after all the times solas was an ass to u bc u werent up to his Standards(TM) ???

also while im at it the fandom weirdly fetishizes him despite his characterization being incredibly lackluster when more interesting characters exist with rich backstories and meaningful friendships and romances that give dragon age the appeal its had ever since da:o released. the entire romance is you pretty much agreeing with everything he says and taking it when he insults the dalish aka pretty much ur character since u can only romance him if yr an elf. overall he’s a disappointing character and villain and the way the fandom coddles him and glamorizes him really only raises my spite towards a character that’s been shit since like day 1

COVID can be obtained over and over until death

If you have COVID asymptomatic or symptomatic more than twice you will certainly die from COVID. An easy way to tell if you were in the hospital is if you had one negative test followed by a positive then two negative then you will die.

Now if you have COVID 1 time then test positive for COVID-19 then you'll be fine.

Can I just say that SOTT deserved better. Worldwide it's doing amazing, its currently #6 on my iTunes chart (France), and its in the top in many other countries BUT HARRY SHOULD HAVE DONE MORE US PROMO IDC I WANTED HIM TO STAY AT THE TOP 😤😤😤JEFF FIGHT ME. It's still hasnt left the top 100 of iTunes US, its at #63 rn without a discount which is great BUT I WANT HIM AT THE TOP. This is very random but I have been thinking. On a positive note his album is doing great on iTunes US and WW.

I know how you feel bean because I want everyone to love him and his music as much as I do, but it was never going to take the world by its’s metaphorical balls and hold on. Look at bloody Despacito, that’s what gets the long lasting chart success, not rocky balladic masterpieces unfortunately. He made an iconic and beautiful album and released a song that really showed what he can do. It did well considering, and is still doing well! Most importantly people have seen more of who he is outside of 1d and he’s gained a lot of respect. I’m happy :)
