thinking about marinette and how passionate about sustainable fashion she would be. always keeping scraps of fabric to use as stuffing or fibers so she never wastes anything- donating all the clothes she doesn't wear anymore or that doesn't fit her personally to children and women's shelters so she knows they aren't being redistributed for greed- buying from local artists and designers and seamstresses to support their small businesses- teaching her friends and family how to patch holes in clothes or how to properly wash and take care of them so less clothing is thrown out in her community :')

Akemi Miyano embodies the song 'Can't Catch Me Now' by Olivia Rodrigo in the most perfect way.
Oh, you think I'm gone 'cause I left
But I'm in the trees, I'm in the breeze
My footsteps on the ground
You'll see my face in every place
But you can't catch me now
The Black Org might’ve killed her but she left pieces of herself in the people that would take them down. In her sister, in Conan, in Akai. Her ghost embraces Haibara, smiling at her through Ran’s familiar self-sacrificing kindness. Her blood stains Conan’s hands, the little detective that carries too much on his shoulders. Her touch haunts Akai, his love for her genuine despite the fact that he had used her for his own purposes.
And I think that's what makes her such a compelling character despite the little screen time she had. They thought she was a mere pawn, someone that was easy to throw away and forget but she haunts the narrative while the people who loved her fight to destroy the very thing that took her away from them.

i’m trying to catch up with as much dimension 20 as i can before fantasy high junior year, i’m currently on a starstruck odyssey, and can i just say: there is truly no greater example of ally beardsley’s dnd progress than the parallel of ally as kristen applebees willingly taking 36 points of damage, bringing kristen down to 3 hit points as kristen plummets multiple stories due to a failed attempt to use a ribbon dance as a way to fly down 10 stories, and ally as margaret encino willingly taking 11 points of damage, bringing margaret down to 3 hit points so margaret can fall 30 feet from a camera nest, walk up to a giant corn guy, and say “you suck” as all the intrepid heroes look on assuming this to be usual beardsley tomfoolery, only for margaret to walk away & trigger an attack of opportunity which gives murph as barry a chance to push this guy off a ledge & possibly win them the entire encounter & over 1 million credits. INSANE. ally beardsley i’m obsessed with your mind

People will be like no im not lesbophobic i just automatically categorize all lesbians as violent evil predatory misandrists and will frame everything they say as violent and hateful without actually learning if its accurate first. I also assume anyone that uses or includes lesbian-specific terms in their identity irl or online is evil. Why would that be problematic in any way
Terfs rot in hell btw

it's annoying how people keep disregarding the mental health epidemic among men with "well it's only treated like a big deal because MEN" when the actual reason it's being highlighted is that suicide rates among men are insanely high and getting higher
society not taking women's health seriously is genuinely a whole different conversation that we can and need to also have but you're legit just ignoring statistics and being pointlessly combative by painting it as "well women are sad too!" well duh they are, but right now men are killing themselves 4x more frequently than women are
society is failing all of us in different ways. we can actually have all these conversations about how society failed us and not have it turn into "ok but who is suffering MORE???" as if that's at all helpful

A note to all creatives:
Right now, you have to be a team player. You cannot complain about AI being used to fuck over your industry and then turn around and use it on somebody else’s industry.
No AI book covers. No making funny little videos using deepfakes to make an actor say stuff they never did. No AI translation of your book. No AI audiobooks. No AI generated moodboards or fancasts or any of that shit. No feeding someone else’s unfinished work into Chat GPT “because you just want to know how it ends*” (what the fuck is wrong with you?). No playing around with AI generated 3D assets you can’t ascertain the origin of. None of it. And stop using AI filters on your selfies or ESPECIALLY using AI on somebody else’s photo or artwork.
We are at a crossroad and at a time of historically shitty conditions for working artists across ALL creative fields, and we gotta stick together. And you know what? Not only is standing up for other artists against exploitation and theft the morally correct thing to do, it’s also the professionally smartest thing to do, too. Because the corporations will fuck you over too, and then they do it’s your peers that will hold you up. And we have a long memory.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking “your peers” are only the people in your own industry. Writers can’t succeed without artists, editors, translators, etc making their books a reality. Illustrators depend on writers and editors for work. Video creators co-exist with voice actors and animators and people who do 3D rendering etc. If you piss off everyone else but the ones who do the exact same job you do, congratulations! You’ve just sunk your career.
Always remember: the artists who succeed in this career path, the ones who get hired or are sought after for commissions or collaboration, they aren’t the super talented “fuck you I got mine” types. They’re the one who show up to do the work and are easy to get along with.
And they especially are not scabs.
*that’s not even how it ends that’s a statistically likely and creatively boring way for it to end. Why would you even want to read that.
