How Canon Was My One Arc 11  Fic?

“After the three-shot imma do an analysis comparison thing between my Elanthielrian fic and what happens and rate it on a scale from 1-10 on how canon it is LOL”

As promised on that previous tumblr post, here is future me, and I give it an 7/10 and I ramble more below the cut. Arc 11.5 On the Rocks SPOILERS.

I think I gotta rate it an 7/10 for canon-compliance, which was MUCH HIGHER than I thought while watching the livestream, and I’m also very impressed with myself. My intention was to keep things kinda vague during my fic so it would, ideally, be totally canon-compliant. I also have the benefit of being in the patreon, so “The Last Stop” being the name of the bar was dropped in the discord: I don’t have some coincidentally power of guessing the exact same words as the UC cast.

Here are some big things that I didn’t have and hence make my fic an AU.

Atelut and Suds are no longer working for Albion rail… I mean gosh if they go back now you know!

Rian and Atelut is a slowburn, but it went much faster than I thought considering the end of the Finale *ahem sharing the same bed*

The resistance already did some damage! Yo? Killing some Albions ya know? 

Rian having the counterpart to Atelut’s ring of suffering: oh that was genius by Dillan and Dylan.

Atelut is an Albion. I mean, if I guessed that part, I’d be some omnipresent God. But hey, if any post-11.5 stream fic writers wants to write about that part? Go for it.

BART BEING REVIVED???

Here’s some more points I thought to bring up

Resistance is a hot mess:

One bit that I thought hit really well was the fact that resistance is kind of a hot mess and we love that for them. My “revolution” was a bit more put together, and I get into that in the next part. By the time my fic occurs, I think Atelut would have already known that. And guess what? She’s stressing over plans and worrying about if something might go wrong over the course of said plans! Oh no. As the writer, I didn’t consider that the resistance would be as much of a hot mess, but it kind of worked out anyways.

Atelut at The Last Stop:

Also another thing I didn’t consider: I think every other fic pre-11.5 has Atelut working in her position at Albion rail. But I had Atelut working on plans at The Last Stop and not even being a part of the main attack. Honestly, that’s how I see her after 11.5: she’s using her managerial skillset and organizing the revolution into an actual force to be wary of. And I think she’d be so good at it too. Maybe that’s this AU’s reason for having a more put-together revolution

Lack of Contact: (a Dissimilarity actually)

Another thing to consider was that I didn’t realize that in-canon, Atelut and Suds never made any direct contact with the resistance group until 11.5 begins? They were so so careful and damn do they care about this revolution so much you know. Anywho, in my fic Atelut and Suds just straight up went right to The Last Stop while being employees of Albion Rail. That being said, what stays the same is how meticulous each time they contacted the other group.

Who is the Boss?

One of the highlights for me is in (I think episode 2?) of 11.5 was when Rian just gives Atelut the “You’re not my Boss anymore” line and it stabs you in the gut a little. Anywho, in my fic Atelut’s the one who says something like that: “I’m not your manager anymore. You don’t have to give me these undeserved, free drinks.” And guess what? My fic ends in a similar way as the 11.5 stream did, with Rian calling Atelut “The Boss” once more. 

We’re the REVOLUTION for a reason (Extremity):

Okay, look I knew this, but I had a much more Suds approach to it where it would be this soft approach to fucking up the Albions. I didn’t realize that Rian was full on ready to do some murderrr, and hey he succeeded quite a bit. In my fic, “If all went according to plan, the company would experience substantial information leaks, financial losses, and destruction of property. It would be the biggest move the revolution had ever attempted.” So yeah. No murder, no death, just some good ol ouchie for Albion rail. I think… it was the second of the live Verbal Components for 11.5, and each player mentioned what would happen if their character was the only one left. And, in this potential scenario, iirc Atelut slowly chips away at Albion rail, kind of like I did in my fic.

someone to watch me die by dontaskmedude  - this is just, this is just depressing; good but depressing; like if hurt/no comfort is your thing this is for you; it’s just so, so sad; kinda Alicent in chains/Rhaenyra half year queen era with some timeline tweaks but no happy ending; do not read this if you want them to be happy 

Untouchable by mylordshesacactus - young rhaenicent; if Aemma never died and if Alicent never married viserys; i love this story so much you dont get it

Blame it on Fate by Lumyart ( @lumyart ) - they’re rival co hosts; well, actually, they’re rival co hosts in Alicent’s mind; Rhaenyra is thoroughly enamored (as per usual) 

you don't know what love is (if you don't put up a fight) by tansymeadows - viserys manages to last a couple extra days and Rhaenyra returns after Alicent blinked her pretty brown eyes and said “you’ve only just arrived”

The Silver Queen and the Lady in Green by WanderingFan - idk how to explain this; honestly just read it; it’s really good; slow burn; like incredibly slow burn im on chapter 26 rn and they’ve only just become friends a couple chapters ago but god is it worth it 

is it too soon to do this yet ('cause I know it's delicate) by Arvedui - episode 1 divergence; it’s cute; they’re cute 

would it be enough (if i could never give you peace?) by Arvedui  - Jeyne Arryn my beloved; you and Laena would get along splendidly when it comes to these two nitwits ( i say with affection) 

Midnights Like This by pure_black_wings - based on Taylor’s album; college setting; slow burn

Duty and Sacrifice (A History of Rhaenyra the Blessed by Archmaester Gyldayn) by TheIronDragon10    (@theirondragonrants) - now when i say i love this story i mean i LOVE this story; if you ever wanted to know what the House of the Dragon looked like thoroughly united then LOOK NO FURTHER; top tier; it’s wonderful; it has angst, it has joy, it has family and sibling vibes, it has slow burn, it has pain and healing and love everything i could ever want from a realistic version of canon where my girls can be happy; emphasis on realistic because the irondragon does not pull any punches

“I like Darcy,” Thor grins, “she-”

“Tased you once and that will not compare to what I’ll do to you if you embarrass me in front of my girlfriend,” you warn, earning a kicked puppy look from the Asgardian.

You’ve been with the Avengers pretty much since the initiative first started. You had once been a private detective, your ability to see past, present, or future by holding objects making you damn good at your job. Naturally, SHIELD wanted you among their ranks and to be honest it sounded a lot more exciting than what you already did. 

In that time, you’ve kept your dating life rather quiet. It’s not that you don’t enjoy dating, really, but it’s hard to find someone to connect with given your abilities allow you more insight into their life than either of you want. Then there was the occasional date with someone who was actually going to go to jail for something, which was awkward, and yeah… the whole mess wasn’t really worth it.

So when Thor suggested a double date with his girlfriend and her best friend, you were more than hesitant. You wanted to humor him though, because Thor is one of your closest friends and the guy is just too damn sweet to say no to. To say you were surprised the date went so well would be an understatement.

You’ve been dating Darcy for ten months. Ten glorious months. It’s amazing, how everything you didn’t get about dating before suddenly clicks into place with Darcy. She’s smart, funny, she gets all of your jokes, plays along with your sarcasm- she’s perfect for you, and you don’t want to ruin that.

Of course, she knows about your abilities and has even asked about them. You don’t mind sharing them with her. She also, obviously, knows what you do for a living and who you work with. That being said, you have been dreading bringing her to the Tower to meet the others.

It’s not that you don’t love your teammates. You do. They’re the only family you have - at least, the only one you care about. But they are so goddamn embarrassing- 

“Doctor Lewis has arrived,” announces JARVIS. “Shall I let her in?”

“I’ll go meet her!” You yelp, ignoring the laughter behind you as you stumble to the elevator.

You hope you don’t look as nervous as you feel. You’re frantically adjusting your sweater when you open the door to find Darcy doing the exact same thing. She stops when she sees you, a shy smile on her lips.

“Hey, you,” she greets.

“Hey yourself,” you grin, pulling her inside and giving her a long, sweet kiss. 

“You look nervous.” Darcy notes, pulling away from the kiss and joining your hands together. 

“Do I?” You blush. “I mean, they’re a little much, Darce.”

“They’re literal superheroes,” the brunette snickers as you load into the elevator. “They can’t be that bad.”

“Oh, you’d be surprised.” You groan. 

The door opens, and to your chagrin, everyone is sitting peacefully at the dinner table. To the untrained eye, this would seem like the perfectly normal scene: your friends waiting patiently for you to introduce them to your girlfriend, the food still hot and steaming. You, however, are not the untrained eye. These little shits are up to something.

Introductions go by suspiciously smoothly. Light conversation follows, only the occasional teasing from your friends. They ask Darcy about her work, all totally normal.

It’s Pietro who starts shit first. “Hey, did (Y/N) ever tell you about the time in Bangladesh when she-”

“Don’t. You. Dare.” You warn, glaring at the boy with a venomous expression.

“-tried to convince Wanda that-”

“I’m warning you, Maximoff,” you growl. “Finish that sentence, and-”

“Oh, that time she tried to convince me she could predict what others would do better than I could? And she ended up mistaking a woman for being pregnant when she wasn’t?” Wanda snickers.

You groan. “How was I supposed to know she had her baby two years ago?”

“They’re your powers!” Darcy snorts with laughter. “How can you not tell when it’s the past or the future?”

“Wanda distracted me!” You huff. 

“Remember when you thought you could beat Yelena at Mario Kart and she made you cry after the first lap?” Natasha adds.

“I wasn’t crying!” You protest. “I was sweating from my eyes!”

“When she wanted to tell me she loved me,” Darcy cuts in. Oh no. “She spent at least ten minutes trying to figure out how to word it to see how I’d react.”

“Only ten minutes? Her little brain must have been working overtime.” Tony nudges your shoulder with his and you resist the urge to plant your face into the mashed potatoes. 

To your horror, the rest of the meal is spent sharing awful stories about you. Darcy is smiling and laughing the whole time, but her hand never leaves yours. She keeps giving you these sidelong glances full of adoration that make all the teasing worth it. 

By the end of the night, you’re both warm with wine as you pull her into your room and connect your lips. 

“I’m sorry about them,” you mutter. “They’re-”

“Your family.” She finishes, kissing you again. “I get it. And I like them.”

“Don’t let them hear that, it’ll go right to their fat heads.” 

She chuckles, pulling you closer and leaning her forehead against yours. “You’re still my favorite, though.”

“I better be.” 

(You’ve never spent the holidays with someone you love like this before. You’re really starting to see what all the hype is about. Especially when she drags you under the covers, arms and legs tangling with yours until you can’t be sure where your bodies begin and end.)

(Just wait until the rest of the Avengers get back from their missions.)

(Yelena might give Darcy a run for her money in terms of snark.)

a/n: ummmm I can’t apologize enough for what took so long. I am truly sorry that it took me this long to get myself together and finally finish it. Although I’m sad that enemy is finally over, I’m really excited to start working on my next smau! I hope you all are doing okay, and stay safe!

You wandered around the park, admiring the pretty sunset. Summer was great in the sense that the sunset was so late. It was 8:30 in the evening and the sky was filled with beautiful warm colors. You were walking towards the tree that Todoroki told you he’d meet you at. An odd location to meet if you were honest. A random tree of all places. You spotted the unique features Todoroki described in the text and walked to it. You also didn’t know why he wanted to meet in a park of all places. His explanation was that he was doing something in the city, but couldn’t you just meet in the shop? You decided to stop questioning your friend’s weird logic. You saw someone underneath sitting on a picnic blanket but thought you’d just stand near the tree and not bother them. Until you saw who it was.

Bakugou looked at her and a shocked expression came on his face. You stood there speechless.

“Y/n…” he nearly whispered, looking her over with a soft look in his eyes. He stood up and made his way to her. “Don't,” you said sternly. “What are you doing here?!” the expression on your face changed from confused to furious in seconds. He looked at you, eyes filled with regret and sadness. “I said, what the hell are you doing here?!” you clutched your purse and furrowed your brows. The hurt in your voice was painfully obvious and it stung Bakugou.  “I need to talk to it, but I wanted to do it in person,” Bakugou said, attempting to keep his composure. At that moment you were a ticking time bomb. All the emotions you have been suppressing and hiding now coming to the surface. And as you stared at him, tears began to spill out of your eyes. “Who do you think you are?!” you yelled at him, anger pulsating through your whole body. Bakugou’s eyes widened at your outburst. He watched you with caution and guilt. “Y-you can’t just do that!” you sobbed. Your knees were wobbling, you felt as if you were going to collapse any minute. “Do you know how angry I am at you?! You lead me on and gave me hope that someone truly loves me for once! Then you just rip it all away, and now you want to talk!” you continued. Bakugou heard the hurt in your voice and his guilt grew. It was hurting him too, to see you like that, knowing he caused it. “I know, and I understand if you hate me and never want to see me again,” he said sadly. His voice was unusually quiet. Almost no one ever heard Bakugou speak like that.  “But can you please hear me out…” he said so quietly. You looked at him, eyes filled with tears. In front of you wasn’t the Bakugou that yelled at everyone. The Bakugou that hid his emotions from everyone and everything. In front of you was a vulnerable boy, with all the hurt and sadness spilling out of his body. He was letting you see him in his worst state. He was letting you see him with his walls down. You continued to stare for a couple seconds. “I don’t hate you, dummy,” you said, dropping to sit on the grass. You were also in her most vulnerable state. All the anger and sadness also spills out your body like a waterfall. “Well you probably should,” he said, dropping down next to you.   “Yeah, I know,” you said, giving a weak smile. “But I could never hate you..” you finished with a sigh at the end. You both sat in silence for a couple of minutes, watching the sunset. Those beautiful colors that filled the sky reminded you of the boy sitting next to you. “I already said this, but I am so angry at you” you continued. “But I could never hate my soulmate” you muttered as you met Bakugou’s gaze. His eyes filled with surprise for a moment which instantly turned to soft happiness. “I don’t know how I can ever make it up to you. But can I please explain myself, surprisingly I'm not an asshole who did that just cause he was bored” he said as he looked at her with the tiniest bit of hope in his eyes. You snorted quietly reacting to his words. “I’m always willing to listen to you,” you said laying back into the grass, watching as the sky turned dark as the sun went away. “When I was dumb and naive, I met a girl” he started, laying back down to level with you. You turned your head to look at him. He had a sad smile on his face. “At the time, I thought that girl was my soulmate, but in reality, she was my enemy,” he said. You watched as different emotions played on his face. “She seemed like a dream. Beautiful and funny” as he said those words, you couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy. “But then, she cheated on me. Multiple times. And would manipulate and gaslight me.” your eyes widened with surprise when he said that. “She seems like she's a great person,” you said sarcastically. “Yeah, and at the time I thought she was,” he said with sadness in his voice. “But we eventually broke up. And somehow she was an even bigger headache when we weren’t together” he said, continuing to stare at the sky. You leaned in continuing to listen. “She spread lies and rumors the moment we broke up,” he said with a sad look in his eye. “And when I met you, I didn’t….I didn’t want to believe such an angel really came to me” he said. You couldn’t help but have a blush spread across your face. His face was also turning red with embarrassment. Bakugou was never this honest with his feelings. Especially, in front of another person.  “I’m sorry that I hurt you. Believe me, I never meant to” he said giving you the most sincere look. You stared into each other's eyes for a while. His face for once was filled with vulnerability. His sadness and guilt shined through his eyes. “I forgive you, Katsuki,” you said, sitting up and he did the same. His expression was filled with hope. “You really do?” he said in almost a whisper. You saw the guilt and sadness in his eyes slowly melted away and instead became filled with happiness and love. “Yes, you dumb ass,” you gave a weak laugh when you said that.  “Who are you calling dumb ass” he snarled, his ego slowly returning to him. As you guys both looked at each other, eyes filled with pure love, you felt his hands on yours. Your heart fluttered as he leaned his face closer to yours. His eyes fluttered shut and so did yours as your lips connected. His lips were the softest things you ever felt. You put your hand in his hair and pulled it a little which made him kiss you even harder. All the emotions he’s been hiding and suppressing, were all being poured into this kiss. You and him broke apart for air. You looked over his face. You found all his features beautiful, you just loved him so much. “Y/n, I love you” Bakugou muttered out. At that moment, it’s like time stood still. Everything seemed so calm, so happy, and so...good. You were, you were truly happy at that moment. “I love you too, Katsuki,” you said as you leaned into his chest and closed your eyes. His face lit up in a cherry red when the embarrassment reached his brain. “Awww are you embarrassed?” you teased him, which made his face turn even redder. “S-shut up” he muttered covering his face with the back of his hand. You and him stayed like that and watched the stars. You saw people describe online how beautiful and happy they felt when they were finally with their soulmate. When you read those articles you couldn’t help but feel a little jealous, yet hopeful. Because maybe in the future, you would finally meet your soulmate. The person that is supposed to be by your side through thick and thin. The person that is meant to love you forever. And at this moment, you knew that you finally felt what you imagined all those years. You closed your eyes and inhaled his sweet scent. You finally found the place that you belong. With Bakugou by your side.

Hmmm… I honestly cannot remember if I saw anything in theaters other than Wakanda Forever. So there’s that.

What do you usually wear?

Oh… cheap/free t-shirt + longsleeve underneath and leggings/jeans. Very casual and chill.

How tall are you?

5’0”. Yes, I’m very short

What’s your star sign? do you share a birthday with a celebrity or historical event?

Taurus (and gemini rising + gemini sun). Not quite sure about celebs sharing a bday with me and all that haha.

Do you go by your name or a nickname?

On the internet, I go by my penname, Quill. Otherwise though, feel free to call me Beepboop cuz I went by that for a bit cuz I simply didn’t mind. 

If the internet people care to know, I usually go by my name, avoiding nicknames unless you are very close to me.

Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be as a child?

HAHA no. I wanted to be a *scientist* because it seemed like the smartest profession. Now, I still don’t really know what I’m going to be doing. Ultimately I want to become a writer, but the reality of the situation is that I’ll probably get a 9-5 job and you know, get financial stability. Sorry to my past self about that.

What’s something you’re good at vs something you’re bad at?

I’m good at finding the best in others and I’m bad at seeing the best in myself. But hey, at least I am somewhat self aware.

Dogs or cats?

Y’all. I truly think I am a Cat person; however, I currently have the sweetest dog. As of right now? That bundle of joy over everything. Dogs.

If you draw/write, or create in any way, what's your favorite picture/favorite line/favorite etc. from something you created this year?

The oneshot I wrote for UC this year. It was like… 4 short stories inside the span of another. I’m glad that I managed to finish that beast of a fic. I guess in hindsight though, didn’t really need the songfic aspect to make it really work. But it’s fine because I didn’t make the lyrics a large part of the fic anyways. I also was just… really struggling with writers block for the longest time. So glad that I found the inspiration to break it with this.

What's something you would like to create content for?

Unprepared Casters! Catch me doing that @uc-beepboop. It’s an incredibly small fandom though, so when I need love and attention I might bound over and do some stuff with MHA/BNHA.

See above. But D&D podcasts overall have been a big big one.

What's something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

In some ways? College + living in a new apartment for the first time. Oh goodness what I leap for me.

What’s a hidden talent of yours?

My artwork and my writing is kind of my hidden talent irl because both aren’t my degree of choice/my profession in life. But otherwise if I had to choose? 

I guess I can mimic a good range of accents. Nothing exceptional, but good for the occasional party trick.

Are you religious?

Nope.

What's something you wish to have at this moment?

Time. And Energy. Oh my gosh I wish I had more of both. Then maybe I would be able to write more.
