Guys, I have something to tell you. I don't know how many of you have noticed it but the portfolio site Behance stores so many sensitive user data on local storage and session storage. That means anybody can intrude your data using cross-site scripting or session hijacking (if you use a public wifi). Which is truly alarming.

Post38—forefront
"Monkey King-Hero is back" is a Chinese domestic animated film, which is adapted from the ancient Chinese summer holiday "Journey to the West". This animation uses a large number of Chinese elements, which is very worthy of my study and reference as an animation major, because China is a country with a long history. In this long history, countless mythological stories and character biographies have been born, which are the inspiration source of animation creation. Animators can adapt their own animation works based on these mythological stories, and in the process of adaptation, animators can integrate their own artistic style. This will make these animations look more in line with the contemporary aesthetic and more acceptable to the market. The character design of this animated film is also very interesting. The protagonist breaks people's inherent impression that "Sun Wukong" is a young man, and specially designs him as a middle-aged man, which brings a very novel feeling to the audience. The villains in the animation abandon existing characters from the original novel and are based on mythical creatures recorded in the ancient Chinese book The Classic of Mountains and Seas. The author put a lot of his own ideas into the design of the animation, which is a good thing to learn when adapting other stories. In this animation, the role shaping of animation is also worth exploring. Animation can use exaggeration, personification, deformation, etc., as well as fantasy, imagination and symbol to reflect people's hearts, and people's feelings are more easily expressed and transmitted by animated films. This is because most of the animation characters do not exist, and animation artists create them. For example, in "Monkey King-Hero is back", the character is designed as a monkey walking upright and endowed by the designer with a gritty, handsome and natural personality. In the detail design of the role, the character's facial expression is very rich, and the emotional expression is not very good, such as the lonely and helpless feelings when the monkey finds that he has lost all his powers, and the trembling of the mouth is very good. The action design of the character is also one of the highlights. The production team designed the action of the protagonist after observing the life of the monkeys in reality for a long time. The animators took the animated character as the core and designed appropriate actions according to the character's personality and physical characteristics, which can better shape the personality and characteristics of the character. Animation characters themselves have no life, animation characters are drawn according to the requirements of animation scripts and animation designers, and only through the artistic processing of animators can the performance of these animation characters be deeply rooted in people's hearts and inject the soul of these roles. All in all, the creation of animated characters integrates the talents and feelings of designers. It is also the fact that animated characters are composed of virtual characters, which gives animators more imagination and creative space. The audience also experiences the uniqueness of animated films through the performance of these animated characters.

LOUVRE LENS / "Animaux Fantastiques" exposition trailer from FREMOX on Vimeo.
A trailer for LOUVRE LENS Museum, that I've created with Reflets Video agency. • Concept & Art direction, voice-over script, and most of the animations made by me ; • Illustrations, Storyboard and Endcard animation by Reflets Video.
I've also reworked the music, sound FX and voice on my side (the original version was in french, with a whole other musical mood ; so this piece is more like a "non-official director cut").
Creatures rigged and animated thanks to some custom After Effects tools I've created (aescripts.com/moglyph-fx/ for example), plus a lot of DUIK.
More images and behind the scene on my Behance portfolio: behance.net/gallery/188608217/LOUVRE-LENS-Animaux-Fantastiques-exposition-trailer

VERIFIED | Xika vs the Disinformation | Short Film | English from Clubcamping on Vimeo.
After the pandemic, our studio, Clubcamping, felt compelled to create a signature short with a Latin American flair, addressing the pressing issue of disinformation in our 'post post-truth' age. As we navigated through a sea of information, our narrative began taking shape, emphasizing the distorted effects of disinformation. With our team being 90% female, our heroine naturally emerged as a young girl, standing as a symbol of truth amidst a landscape of deception.
Our creative challenge was twofold: depict the transformative power of disinformation without causing offense, and design characters representative of the disinformation crisis. This task became smoother when @veroinstituto in Brazil partnered with us, integrating our short into their larger campaign against disinformation in Latin America.
In collaboration with @veroinstituto, we expanded our narrative universe, spotlighting the dangers of manipulated truths. We're excited to share more about our journey and the broader campaign. To support and learn more, visit vero.org.br/verificables and for a behind-the-scenes look, explore our Behance page.
