i think if any of the losers had to stop and tie their shoes while they were all walking, everyone would immediately stop with them on the sidewalk to talk while they wait :)

and also instead of leaving people behind when walking in such a big group they just form a half circle naturally so everyone can fit and see each other easily

Wait wait wait hear me out. Stan and Bill we’re totally the parents of the group. Stan was the annoyed mom who kept everyone in line and made sure they didn’t die, and if he uses his mom voice you know you’re fucked. Even worse if he uses your full name.

Then there’s Bill, who’s the fun dad, in a way. He doesn’t mind the losers doing crazy things and shit. He helps them when they have a stupid plan (though let’s be real Bill is probably the one coming up with the stupid plans). But he is also terrified of his wife. Which is Stan. Stan is his wife.

So basically, if one of the losers ever gets hurt and it’s because Bill went along with their plan, he knows he’s fucked. And it’s hilarious, ngl.

They also plot to get Reddie and benverly together but I’ll post about that later.

I feel like after richie made the carving on the bridge he would always be trying to hurry the losers along when they inevitably walked over the bridge 💀💀💀 like he did it but didn’t think of the consequence that he now has to make sure none of his friends see it, for about two months richie lived in constant fear that one of the losers would see it and THEY WOULD KNOW.

i’ve been writing losers club / it fics for seven years so i’ve had plenty of time to perfect their middle names so here they are

eddie

eddie’s middle name when i write him is always isaiah. it’s biblical, it’s pretty, and i just think eddie’s mom is very much about pretty perfect things and edward isaiah kaspbrak is just a pretty little name

richie

alwaysssss wentworth! always! richard wentworth tozier is so ingrained into my mind that it’s almost canon to me. i just think wentworth and maggie are the type to name their kids after themselves and when richie was born they were like okay cute, little boy, dads name as his middle name.

stan

i think stanley asher is so cute and it’s also a popular name in hebrew and it goes well with his last name so i do love it. truth be told i did do a little digging when i was 14 and needing a middle name for stan and asher was one of the names that kept showing up on popular jewish names websites so it kinda just stuck w me. stanley asher uris ur so famous to me <3

mikes middle name is william bc it’s his dads name , but i also think he could’ve been named “michael leroy hanlon” after his grandfather. i tend to go with william though !

beverly grace just screams at me idk. i just feel like her dad would’ve picked it, and she hates it, but richie found out about it and calls her by it all the time and it’s grown on her hearing him call her it. (bc they’re bffs)

roller skating IT headcanons

Richie CAN skate, surprisingly.. but he pretends not to know how just to be a goofy little boy <3

Eddie is somewhat okay at it, he's definitely not as good as richie when richies actually trying

whenever eddie falls, omg richie suddenly knows how to skate?!?!? and he's over there straight away helping eddie up?!?!?!?!

bev is AMAZING at it, better than richie, she can do all the moves and tricks and stuff, but usually hangs back with ben to help him

bill.. bill is not good.. he holds onto the wall the entire time, just moving along very slowly till he finally decides hes had enough and plays cards with stan till they can leave

stan knows how to, he's pretty decent at it, he just doesnt enjoy it (people everywhere, people bumping into you possibility, ESPECIALLY RICHIE, children crying whenever they fall over, etc.)

mike is the same as stan i'd say in the skill department

ben's not very good, probably around the same skill level as bill, except he actually tries, he doesn't just hang onto the wall -- he gets help from bev

also, he has specific colors for each of the Losers that match their personalities.

Mike: Yellow; optimistic, adventurous, infectious energy

Ben: Orange; resourceful, kind, open-minded

Stan: Pink; soft, reserved, sensitive

Bill: Blue; wise, sympathetic, reliable

Bev: Purple; bold, glamorous, creative

Richie: Red; passionate, confident, outgoing, love

the rest of the Losers allow Eddie to place the band aids on them because they know they're on good hands when they get wounds or scrapes.

bill - pixies, r.e.m, the verve, david bowie, the stone roses, psychedelic furs, echo & the bunnymen. British Dad Music Taste as stated in a previous stonechatting post. he gets stan into the verve & they dance to sonnet trust

richie - violent femmes!!!, the b-52s, bronski beat, beastie boys. anything Kind of Strange definitely weird al too

eddie - duran duran, ramones, the police, the clash, billy idol, depeche mode, the smashing pumpkins maybe??. i think he would like a lot of pop music too like he would secretly listen to madonna or something

stan - cocteau twins!!, mazzy star, the smiths, the stranglers, eels. he prefers slower/calmer music and has never liked anything too energetic, richie calls his music taste depressing

mike - the mamas & the papas, the turtles, the flamingos, the beatles, chuck berry, chordettes . i have a vision of him liking a lot of 50s & 60s music 4 some reason !? i think it fits him a lot

bev - republica, blondie, bon jovi, the primitives, talking heads, queen perhaps !? i like to think she likes a lot of more rock heavy songs

ben - wham!, simple minds, jeff buckley, soft cell, u2, beach boys, & obviously new kids on the block ! i can imagine him liking a lot of Joyous Music

Hello! I just saw your post about the Losers headcanons and I'd love to hear some of your Ben headcanons. Thank you and have a nice day!

My favorite boy omg!!!

I feel like I’ve already shared this HC, but Ben loves graphic novels. He’ll read anything but graphic novels are his favorite. It helps him see the world the author created better.

He also loves home and garden magazines, it gives him inspiration for projects. He used one to help build a new fence for his mother’s house.

Ben’s love language is gift giving, he’s always making the loser’s gifts. Like bird houses for Stan, a new slingshot for Beverly, a box for Eddie’s medical supplies, etc.

Whenever one of the losers need to vent or simply have a conversation, they turn to Ben, knowing he’ll give his undivided attention to them. He’s not the best at advice but he’ll always listen.

Watched IT chapter one the other day and all I keep thinking about is this AU idea called “let’s make a deal” where Bill protects Georgie by making a deal with Pennywise telling him that he’ll bring him only the terrible people in Derry to which Pennywise agrees. He enlists the help of his friends and they agree to do this in order to keep the kids of Derry safe (and to get rid of the bullies and Bevs shitty dad). Maybe some bonding occurs between Pennywise and the kids? Maybe he sees them as his kids or little siblings and starts to genuinely want to protect them since no one’s ever given him anything or treated him kindly before?

Look we all know that Stanley is the most jealous loser in the polylosers dynamic. (Although Eddie is a close second)

And Ben, Bill and Richie drive him nuts bc of this.

Eddie, Bev, and Mike know when someone is flirting with them and they are either nice enough to shoot them down immediately (Mike) or they’ll just ignore the person’s advances (Eddie) but the other three?? Oh boy.

Ben can’t tell when someone is flirting with him. Poor bb, it just goes over his head. He’ll just think they’re being exceptionally nice to him. He just can’t accept the fact he grew up to be hot. Lucky for him, the moment Stanley intervenes in the person’s advances, he gets all puppy dog love struck bc hey- one of his partners are here and his attention zones in on them instead of the other person. Yes Stan is smug about this every time.

Bill on the other hand, while he’s like Ben and won’t notice when someone is hitting on him, it’s just bc he’s a lil dumb. Kind of the same thing with Ben too, where once Stan appears, the other person is kinda forgotten about by Bill. Stan gets more possessive when they’re at some big Hollywood party for Bill’s books and Stan has to stake their claim on Bill. Bill has shown up not so accidentally when a visible hickey bc Stan decided to get frisky in the limo before they arrived.

But RICHIE does this shit l on purpose. Even will flirt back with the intruder just to rile up Stanley. There is nothing more satisfying than being dragged away from someone mid conversation bc Stan has had it. It always leads to great intensive sex.
