This morning, I asked the cards "What do I focus on today?" I drew The Ivory Shield, or the Queen of Chalices from The Spirit Keepers Tarot. 🍵 She gazes at me with wisdom and kindness. She has a balanced spirt and her emotions are calm and level. She has authority over water and her emotions. She is a protector and a saviour, able to stand in the way of negativity and difficult emotions. She holds her shield up to protect others and to shield herself and others from harm. 🍵 I'm drawn to look at the moon that is drawn on her forehead. Water responds to the moon, it's tides are pulled and shaped by the moon. They are integral to each other. As I balance my emotions, I must also balance my spirit. The Burning Times: Which craft? “This is a really tough issue to tackle, what is and isn’t witchcraft is a matter of perspective. For instance, back when Neolithic men and women realized a few chosen among them could be ambassadors between the human world and the spirit world; and they could burn stuff, create stuff, recite stuff to have the spirit world carry out the wishes of the human world - was that was witchcraft? Was that magic? Is there a notable or important difference between witchcraft and magic or sorcery? At what point does a lucky charm become more than just a lucky charm to be categorized witchcraft? If a highly rank clergy member of an established mainstream religion (it doesn’t have to be an Abrahamic religion - it can be a Buddhist one as well)…if such a highly rated clergy member blesses an object, blesses water, or blesses a baby; by way of a ritual, intension setting, or calling upon a deity - is that Witchcraft? Or is it only witchcraft when someone does this outside an established,or formalized, organized religion? If a priest of an established religious order lights a candle, burns incense, and goes ‘blah, blah, blah’ over an object to bless it for you for protection; that’s not Witchcraft? But if the crazy lady at the edge of the forest that no one really likes, that lives by herself, goes ‘blah, blah, blah’ over an object, then that’s witchcraft?
