Genuinely we need to start killing politicians. Or at least dragging them out of their homes and beating them in the streets.

This is not a situation we can vote ourselves out of. The boycotts are a good start in that they target the root of the evil, that being the love of money, but by and large the protesting is not going to break down senators and senior officials who have already sold you out for cash. All of those celebrities at the met gala heard all that trash talk from thousands of protestors and...kept walking.

94% of Congress is controlled by AIPAC. 94% of your government's legislative body answers to the whims of a genocidal settler colony.

Your representatives come packaged with an AIPAC babysitter and AIPAC will always, always have more money than you. Even those who don't take AIPAC money like AOC and Bernie Sanders still openly endorse Joe Biden, their biggest recipient and a segregationist with a history of bloodshed. They are worse than useless to us at this point and only serve to try and drag us back to liberalism with the harebrained idea that you are always on the backfoot, and must make compromises to get what you want, which is how we're being told to vote for the "less evil genocidaire" in 2024. Discard them.

We are only on the backfoot because we keep playing by rules that don't apply to the ruling class. They think you have no power, but you do--but unfortunately, it is going to require using your fists, because they will never listen to your voice.

La muerte alcanzó al guitarrista, compositor, cantante y productor que armó al meteórico MC5, grupo de carrera corta e influencia muy larga, con sólo tres discos revolucionarios. Músico, activista, adicto, presidiario, carpintero, héroe de la contracultura y, sobre todo, un gran ser humano, el cáncer de páncreas lo mató a los 75 años.

Fans de James Brown, Little Richard y Chuck Berry, Los Motor City 5 querían tocar el rock más salvaje de Detroit con un ataque de dos guitarristas fuera de serie: Kramer y Fred “Sonic” Smith, el carismático cantante Rob Tyner, y una sección rítmica maciza que mantenía el curso entre los excesos de distorsión y feedback. Entonces, en 1967, apareció John Sinclair con ideología, drogas y un saxofón, y los introdujo al free jazz. Con sus “hermanitos”, los Chiflados de Iggy Pop, empollaron el huevo protopunk que una década más tarde estallaría como granada nazi en la cara del mainstream. Un gran crack musical.

Sinclair se volvió mánager y gurú. Pero Kramer también cayó por vender droga a dos agentes encubiertos en 1975 y fue sentenciado a cuatro años. Dentro, formó la banda Street Sounds con el trompetista Red Rodney, del grupo de Charlie Parker.

De esa experiencia surgió la fundación Jail Guitar Doors, para donar instrumentos y dar clases de música en las prisiones. When PoC use identity politics to express their thoughts on racism, we're often told (by Bernie Sanders and his supporters) to ditch it in favor of economic equality. However, when it comes to reaching out to white working class, identity politics suddenly becomes an important issue; and although his followers may not hear it, dog-whistle racism, is something many of us are unwilling to excuse. So, if you're not one of those "leftists" speaking out against the tune of Bernie Sander's dog-whistle...then you're one of those people who believe that the civil rights of PoC are secondary to reaching out to voters who shared Trump’s bigoted, misogynistic and prejudiced views.

Keep in mind that Trump scapegoated groups of ppl (Mexicans, Blacks, Women, Native Americans, Immigrants, Muslims, etc) most vulnerable to exploitation, then used that conservative strain of bigotry and misogyny to stoke anger and mistrust among his conservative base. These are the people Bernie Sanders wants to reach out to. Their economic anxiety and “pain” is important to this particular Senator and his supporters; while the continued disenfranchisement of Poc, Black men and women, children, immigrants, Black LGBTQ community, etc...are expendable. 

And it disappoints me that Nina Turner, the Young Turks or for that matter, Shaun King, has done nothing to discourage that type of narrative within his campaign. It’s utterly depressing and disappointing. I guess black lives really don’t matter in the scheme of things.
