⚠️ Hawt ⚠️
it was a very sad Saturday afternoon.
Daiya could not believe this.
his Boyfriend, danny davito had left him for his best friend, Plablo backyardigan.
Daiya Was sad but did not cry. He instead went into an emo phase like the bad bleep he is.
He went into his room after school, he started listening to Billie Eilish full volume in Spotify. Daiya heard a knock on the door, it was his less cool brother Mondo.
mondo : “AYO CAN U TURN OFF THE VOLUME?”
DAIYA : “IM GOING THROUGHOUT SOMETHING K?”
Mondo kicked Daiya’s room’s Door and walked away.
[10:27 pm idk]
Daiya could not sleep, He spent lot of time trying to sleep but fell asleep without noticing 5 minutes after.
[next day transition. Idk how to write fanfics ahdkakx]
Daiya went to school next day after leaving his little brother mondo on the nursery. He skipped class and walked through the halls bu then finding his worst enemy but at the same time secret new love interest; Edd Sheehan.
[Edd Sheeran’s POV]
I was walking thro the halls, I had a free period but then found my boo and enemy, Daiya Owada.
I walked to where he was since he was the only person I knew on the school. I was a newborn.
Edd : “bruh”
Daiya : “hi“
Edd : “U gonna apologise for stealing my Happy meal Toy?”
Daiya : “No ❤️“
OMG HE SO BADDIE HE EVEN LEADER OF VERY BIG GANG. Is that the only big thing he has tho?
Edd : “I’m telling u off”
Daiya : “NO 😿”
Edd : “Give me my toy”
Daiya gave back my toy. He kinda hot tho 🥵
Daiya : “I h8 u Jerk 😿”
Edd : “Why did u want my toy tho?”
Daiya : “I can’t afford happy meals for my lil bro 😔”
Edd: “Isn’t he like 20 tho?”
Daiya : “He grew up a little“
Edd : “Damn 😔”

I gave him my McDonald’s happy meal toy and he threw it away.
Edd : “That was your depression day gift”
Daiya : “O h”

Daiya : What are you doing step-sheeran? 🤭
Edd : call me jerk 😏
Daiya : No shit Sherlock 👺
Edd : damn, the nickname was hawt 😿
He walked away to pick up the Toy he threw and then started walking even further away from me. I was sad bc he WAS hot and I lost my opportunity 😿 but then he turned his head to me and said :

Kidnap, Racism and a Beaten Bike...
Rounding up a week in Hollyoaks (22nd - 26th April 2019)
The daggers were out for Sienna this week following her accusation of sexual harassment towards Laurie at the Easter fete. Despite most of the village being on his side, Laurie found himself suspended from work pending investigation but this didn’t make Sienna feel any better as she realised that no one other that Brody and Liberty believed her. Brody was so enraged by the injustice of the situation that he did what every Hollyoaks resident does in times of crisis and resorted to kidnap! However, kidnapping Laurie only made the situation worse, as Sienna pointed out that Laurie could use it against her. As Sienna met with Sally to discuss her complaint against Laurie, the headteacher informed her that they’d had concerns from parents, and she felt it would be best if Sienna didn’t continue her training at Hollyoaks High, for now at least, leaving Sienna devastated.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, despite standing in support of Laurie publicly, it was clear that Sinead was privately having doubts about his innocence and her concerns were seemingly proven when Laurie grabbed hold of her. Sinead’s screams were heard by Hannah, and it was this altercation that made Sinead see that she had to get herself and Hannah away. Lying to Laurie that Misbah was sending her on a residential training course, Sinead packed a bag and planned to leave, collecting Hannah from nursery on the way. However, her plan was rumbled when Laurie dropped into the hospital to find out more about the course, and Misbah revealed that she knew nothing about it. Unfortunately for Sinead, she hadn’t managed to flee in time, and she was talked into giving Laurie another chance.
Tumblr media
Elsewhere this week, Ste’s extremism story was back to the forefront as he posted an offensive meme about Misbah online. Ste was delighted by the positive response that Stuart and Jonny gave his ‘creativity’ but one person who wasn’t happy was Peri, and she demanded that Ste remove the meme. The bad atmosphere between Ste and Peri soon escalated when Peri told Ste about Jonny’s crush on her. Ste felt betrayed, however, with encouragement from Stuart, decided to forgive Jonny, and the group ordered a takeaway. However, the delivery driver turned out to be Shahid, the man that Jonny and Stuart had viciously beaten a few weeks back. Shahid was horrified to come face to face with his attackers, and the next day, returned to the village and told Jonny about the impact that the attack had had on his life. Typically, Jonny couldn’t have cared less and a fight broke out between the two men. Jonny ended up falling over during the ruckus and Stuart insisted that he visit the hospital, even though he wasn’t badly injured. Ste was concerned for his family’s safety following the attack, but he was soon in for an even bigger shock when Stuart revealed that Shahid was the man they had beaten up at the football match...
Tumblr media
Despite initially wanting to call the police, Ste was talked round by Stuart, who insisted that they had to teach Shahid a lesson. With encouragement from Stuart, Ste phoned the same takeaway and Shahid’s brother, Amir, soon arrived at The Teahouse. With Stuart, Jonny, and the rest of the racists shouting words of encouragement, Ste angrily trashed Amir’s motorbike. The situation was captured on camera by one of Stuart’s mates, claiming that it would be their insurance if Ste ever got cold feet...
Tumblr media
In other news this week, James tricked Donna-Marie into confessing to Mac’s murder whilst Martine and Lisa tried to put a smile back on Scott’s face by organising a quiz night. In a bid to cheer Walter up, Cleo and Goldie set him up on a date with Marnie, much to her horror! Finally, over at The Dog, Mercedes was beginning to tire of Breda’s interference in their lives and asked her to leave. However, after seeing how much the murdering nanny meant to Max and Bobby, she relented and allowed her to stay.
Tumblr media
5 Things We Learned This Week:
1. The parents of Hollyoaks High are a strange bunch. Apparently a trainee teacher reporting someone for sexual harassment should not be tolerated and they’re concerned about Sienna being around their kids. As a result, they have to let her go. This is the very same school that continued to employ Patrick Blake after he’d been accused of domestic violence! No consistency!
2. Marnie’s had lots of embarrassing moments since she arrived in Hollyoaks. She’s had to wear a curfew tag after taking the blame for pushing Mac from a window, she spent months living in the McQueen’s hovel after she was made homeless and she had to share a bed with Cindy Cunningham night after night. But the worst thing to ever happen to her is, of course, being set up on a date with the local shopkeeper. Oh, the shame!
3. Prior to this week, Ste didn’t know what a ‘meme’ was. He’s got so much catching up to do! There’s a whole world of amusement and wasted hours awaiting him!
4. Breda likes to do all the voices when she reads a story to Max and Bobby. I bet she’s great at the baddies!
5. Hollyoaks loves an original business idea. Goldie managed to pick up a tanning booth from The Emporium and Nana was immediately seeing pound signs. Get ready for ‘Golden Grannies’! Now, remind me what happened to Ste’s tanning business, again?

Weird Asks that Say a Lot  Meme...
My friend the wonderful @meanwhileonwednesday suggested I fill out Every even number for the 'weird asks that say a lot', so here I am. Thanks, friend! XD
2. chocolate bars or lollipops?
Chocolates.
4. how did your elementary school teachers describe you?
At my first school? Artistically talented and perceptive (one teacher was very vividly impressed by my grasp of duck anatomy at like 5 years old). Then there’s the teacher at my new school who thought I had special needs because I was withdrawn (I was being bullied by most of the class, really); she was a new teacher and not really equipped to deal with that. By the end of primary school, I went back to being commended on my work ethic and smarts and artistic ability.
6. pastel, boho, tomboy, preppy, goth, grunge, formal or sportswear?
Hmmm I think my work clothes are mostly a formal/preppy mix. With a little bit of boho thrown in, particularly when I’m at home.
8. movies or tv shows?
I prefer movies, because they represent a lot less commitment (America, please stop giving everything like 17 seasons, I beg of you!), however TV show episodes are shorter and easier to slot into your life than a full movie.
10. game you were best at in p.e.?
I was generally awful in PE. I liked benchball, can’t say that I was good in it, being yet another game where being short doesn’t do you any favours.
12. name of your favorite playlist?
Either my Kickass playlist, or my Reflective playlist.
14. favorite non-chocolate candy?
Starburst.
16. most comfortable position to sit in?
Curled up, on my side, in a nice big armchair with my legs hanging off the side. Surrounded by pillows, and probably a cat or two.
18. ideal weather?
Picture this: it’s a sunny day; warm but not too hot. Maybe around 24 degrees celsius. There’s a warm breeze; it’s not stifling, and it’s not cold enough to make you shiver. The trees rustle with the sound of the wind; change is in the air. You can go out in short sleeves, perhaps with the thinnest of cardigans if like me your metabolism basically died 300 years ago.
20. preferred place to write (i.e., in a note book, on your laptop, sketchpad, post-it notes, etc.)?
Depends on what I’m writing. I am the kind of ineffectual person who starts to write tings in a notebook, but also a couple of word docs. I have post- it notes for important things. I document ideas for my comic in a note/sketch book. I love doodling in my sketchbooks.
22. role model?
I never really had one, growing up. I guess the closest I’d get is David Attenborough.
24. favorite crystal?
My birthstone is ruby (which is red; my favourite colour!) however I also love opals; I love their irdescent (OK, opalescent, technically) sparkliness and the way they shimmer with lots of colours. I don’t see why everyone prefers massive diamonds when opals are like... so much cooler. I I don’t actually own any, but maybe one day I’ll be able to buy myself a nice one.
26. favorite activity to do in warm weather?
Go for a nice long walk, take lots of pictures, have a picnic in the park. No, I lie, my favourite activity is roping someone I care about into doing it all with me, and having even more fun.
28. five songs to describe you?
Home - Ellie Goulding Fight Song - Rachel Platten Working Woman’s Blues - Valerie June Alive - Bird Set Free My Medea - Vienna Teng
30. places that you find sacred?
Already been answered.
32. top five favorite vines?
Alas, hard to name off the top of my head. I mainly know vines from various compilations.
34. advertisements you have stuck in your head?
Right now? Thankfully none of them.
36. what is the first meme you remember ever seeing?
That’s impossible to say! Memes were a thing before internet memes became a thing. I’d say that ‘S’ shape we all drew in primary school? Nursery rhymes? Who knows.
38. lemonade or tea?
They don’t usually compete for my love, but i have tea more often than lemonade, purely due to availability reasons.
40. weirdest thing to ever happen at your school?
Some students climbed onto the roof.
42. jacket pockets or pants pockets?
Honestly? Skirt pockets. But being a woman, jacket pockets are usually woefully ineffectual and small. Trouser pockets are a bit better, but again usually small. Whereas if someone puts pockets on a skirt, they make sure they are actually proper pockets!
44. favorite scent for soap?
Maybe honey, or roses, or jasmine.
46. most comfortable outfit to sleep in?
A baggy pair of PJs; I’m a dress for comfort kind of girl. Particularly since the places I’ve lived haven’t always been great in the heating department. I’ve been known to sleep in a hoodie when it gets cold.
48. if you were a fruit, what kind would you be?
I would like to be a berry, or maybe an apple. Something pinkish red. Sweet, and a little sharp.
50. what made you laugh the hardest you ever have?
Probably my little brother astounding me with how grown-up he is about things. He’s pretty awesome. Or my mum just saying something wildly, hilariously inappropriate XD
52. favorite font?
I love the Komika font family for my comic. I used to use Bookman Old Style, Book Antiqa, Georgia or classic Arial for essays and things like that, when they didn’t specify Times New Roman.
54. what did you learn from your first job?
Always call the med reg if you are stuck, be nice to the nurses and always help each other. OK, I did lots of volunteering in hospital before FY1. In which case my
56. favorite tradition?
My family/culture have a specific tradition on the morning of an exam/interview/life event where you fill a cup with water and a couple of plant leaves (Slavs love putting greenery into everything). You place it at the threshold,  and give it a good kick it with your dominant foot. It symbolises your knowledge flowing, and I guess it’s a good luck charm.. You also aren’t meant to look back (literally); because you should be focusing on the task at hand. As a kid it was a comforting good luck ritual, and I don’t think I ever really grew out of it.
58. four talents you’re proud of having?
I’m proud of my artistic skills, modest though they are. I enjoy creating, and I enjoy that I can make things to cheer up my friends, or things that people here can relate to.
By extension, I’m good with my hands, and that usually translates to picking up procedures and things like that pretty quickly at work. And yes, I love being able to get that cannula in (especially if it’s on the first go!)  when nobody else can. It’s a tiny, tiny thing, but it sparks a little joy. I can develop good rapports with people; which means I can help them to confide their problems, and can help them to feel better or to address things that are bothering them. It’s really mostly about listening and not being judgemental. I am proud that I can sometimes make people feel better, and feel listened to. I’m proud that I learned to try to work through my feelings. As a young person who was really quite stressed, I somehow learned how to apply what’s basically CBT to keep myself relatively sane, and I think it’s helped me a lot. It was only much later that I realised it was basically CBT when I was comparing notes with friends actually going through those kinds of therapies. I’m not perfect at it, and my mind tests me on a regular basis, but it helps.
60. if you were a character in an anime, what kind of anime would you want it to be?
I don’t know what I’d like to be in? Maybe a Ghibli film. I think I’d like that.  When I was at school, a close friend of mine just turned around and said “OMG, you’re just like an anime character”, to fervent agreement from my peers. I guess they meant one of those chirpy, ditzy shojo anime characters. I can still see myself as some shojo series heroine; frantically trying to keep it together under the pressures of magical girldom, being romantically inept, trying to fight off the baddie of the week whilst learning lessons about getting along with each other, being helpful and not being mean.
62. seven characters you relate to?
Right now? Sophie from Howl’s moving castle, Princess Carolyn from Bojack Horseman, Miranda Otto from D. Gray-Man, Elinor Dashwood from Sense and Sensibility, The Red Blood Cell from Cells at Work, Kiki from Kiki’s delivery service, and Aggressive Retsuko.
64. favorite website from your childhood?
I used to love looking at other people’s art on Elfwood or Deviantart.
66. favorite flower(s)?
Today I’m feeling the answer is lilacs.
68. worst flavor of any food or drink you’ve ever tried?
Ugh anything bitter.
70. left or right handed?
I’m ridiculously right handed, but I’ve learned to use my left hand more effectively because of procedures etc. I’m really good with my hands, but my right hand takes over like 80% of the work.
72. worst subject?
PE in school, biochemistry at university.
74. at what pain level out of ten (1 through 10) do you have to be at before you take an advil or ibuprofen?
At home, maybe a 3, because I don’t see the point in suffering needlessly. However at work I’ll do whatever it takes to keep functional including taking pain relief before it gets bad because I don’t want to have to deal with pain and an on-call. I’m not sure if the scale is logarithmic? I’d rate the worst pain that I’ve had 5 ot a 6, and that made me vomit and curl up into a ball and basically unable to do anything. But I can imagine pain that’s much, much worse than that was, so perhaps I just can’t thin
76. what’s your favorite potato food (i.e. tater tots, baked potatoes, fries, chips, etc.)?
This kind of new potato salad my mum makes with onions. Raw onions are totally a trigger food for my IBS, and any time my mum feeds me anything full of onions, she’ll tell me I can take them out if they upset my tummy. And every single time I’ll pile even more onions into my plate because there’s no way I’m letting my gut dictate my life. Turns out, I’m even more stubborn than my IBS; I just don’t want to give up some of the foods that set things off. My GP once recommended a FODMAP diet, and having had a look at all the stuff I’d have to cut, I resolved I’d only start cutting things if my symptoms got really bad.
78. coffee from a gas station or sushi from a grocery store?
Honestly, I have no pretentions to snobbery. The best coffee is the one you get when you are about to collapse on a night shift, even if much, much better coffee exists in the world. And the best sushi is the plain supermarket one you get between on-calls to treat yourself, even if the one from a good restaurat is so much nicer.
80. earth tones or jewel tones?
I wear a lot of jewel tones, but I also wear a lot of earth tones, and I don’t really see them as being in competition. Rock all the colours!
82. pc or console?
Phone. XD I don’t play much on either, mainly due to time. Phone has the benefit of being in my pocket when I’m at a loose end on the bus, or at my parents’. I don’t sit down and make time to play, I play games in the stolen minutes here and there when I don’t have much to do.
84. podcasts or talk radio?
Classical music radio in the office (because it’s the most neutral), retro stations in the car (or whatever your guests would like), and podcasts at home when you are by yourself.
84. barbie or polly pocket?
I didn’t have a real Barbie (fairly sure ours were knockoff dolls) but I do have fond memories of making outfits for our toys. Though our favourites were always various little animal models who got into all sorts of adventures.
86. cookies or cupcakes?
Cookies, but it’s a close call. Really, I’d have to say biscuits, since I eat those more often than either of the above.
88. your greatest wish?
For myself? To be happy. For others? Ditto.
90. luckiest mistake?
Getting into my first degree. Feels like I fell into it, but it set me off on a great path, and I don’t regret that my initial path was far from straightforward.
92. lamps, overhead lights, sunlight or fairy lights?
All of the above.
94. favorite season?
That kind of Spring-Summer interface when all the plants are in bloom, and the weather is warm but not too hot, and the days are long.
96. desktop background?
Arietty’s bedroom from the Ghibli Borrowers film adaptation. I’m a sucker for ghibli aesthetic; usually because my rooms end up similarly haphazardly adorned with cool things.
98. favorite historical era?
Every era has its own awesomeness. I feel very fondly for the regency period because of all the books I’ve read set in it, likewise the Victorian period. Though both aren’t without their problems. I realised that I style my hair like a Victorian; centrally parted with a neat, low bun at the nape of the neck. XD
I think that might be all the questions! Phew!

Bilbrook: Labour Party Q&A
Where I live now is on the edge of nice. I can see it from my bedroom window, the fields all around us are in walking distance, local amenities where everyone knows your name and pleasant greetings to all who pass. The business owners who's services you use because they're your mates, the farm shop near that scenic spot by the canal and the conservative political banners peeping from the hedges. Yet still only a mile from where I grew up, because why leave?
Tumblr media
Tomorrow is polling day and what that means for me and my son is no Playgroup. So we'll spend time, in the morning before I'm fully awake, playing a game of Transformers; in which the autobots battle to destroy the evil forces of the decepticons - a new obsession; *good vs evil, where good always wins, but the baddies are far more intriguing. They have more gadgets and a thirst for seeking the power of ‘the crystal’ but can never quite get the better Optimus Prime, even though he dies, he comes back.
But at some point I will vote, and I will vote for Labour!
I've been a member of the Labour Party for over a year. I'd always voted Labour in general elections in the past but I really wanted to support Jeremy Corbyn, who’s words spoke to me on a level other politicians hadn't...
I asked our local Labour candidate, Adam Freeman, a few questions. There hasn't been a hustings nearby (which he explains). I did receive a leaflet, in which he states his five key points but I wanted to ask a few questions of my own, to see what he’s about.
Me: You're pretty young, by the usual candidate standard, but how long have you been involved in the Labour Party? What's your history with the party?
AF: My political life started when I joined the party when I entered Sixth Form during the first year of Ed Milliband’s time as leader. Once I went to University in Hampshire I got involved in Student politics, campaigning for NUS against the University Tuition Fees and twice standing for Council on a Student ticket, one of the youngest people ever to stand in the local Council. I finished University in 2014 and returned home, I returned to the local party and was selected as a candidate for the following year’s District Council elections. I quickly joined Kevin McElduff’s Parliamentary campaign in the same year enabling Labour to hold onto second in the South Staffordshire set. Once the General Election was over I was selected as CLP Secretary at 22 as part of a push for the younger generation – whilst only two years in the job I have led the local campaign in the EU Referendum, being the Agent for Stronger IN for Europe for South Staffordshire, and this year was the Agent/coordinator for all 9 candidates for the Staffordshire County elections the Penkridge West By-Election, in these elections we got our best results since 2011. Whilst young, my experience standing in now five council elections, attending and running a number of local counts.
Me: What kind of things have you been involved in for the betterment of our local area?
AF: I have been involved in campaigns to stop local schools being forced to become Academies, along with our Councillors I have pushed for greater funding and allocation for schools and nurseries. Promoted and signed a number of petitions in terms of local development opportunities, protection of green belt and wildlife landscapes. I was involved in the standing of a Labour candidate in Codsall, who promoted Labours polices in the Staffordshire County Council – extra funding for pot holes, cut energy bills, increase community allotments and an increase in house building.
Me: I was disappointed that there weren't any hustings taking place in Bilbrook/Codsall, could you explain why?
AF: I was contacted by the Churches Together group that tried to set up a Hustings in Brewood, sadly the organisers needed more than two candidates to attend and only I and another candidate were able to attend, this meant that the hustings was cancelled and the possibility of replicating in other villages was also missed. It must be said there were no hustings in 2010 or 2015 either locally due to not enough candidates being willing to attend the hustings.
Me: You must be disappointed to not campaign in the area you were brought up and live in?
AF: I was born in Perton and have lived there my whole life, I am honoured to have stood for Council in my home village twice now, the most recent in May this year saw me get the best result for a Labour representative in Perton for twelve years. Since becoming CLP Secretary in May 2015 I have pushed for as much campaigning in Perton as I can, with a notable appearance by Sion Simon MEP during the European Union Referendum. My dissertation for my Masters Degree in Cultural Heritage saw me analyse the relationship between heritage and development especially in line with the proposed building of new homes in my village, I was part of the recent consultation period that finished last year on this proposal.
Me: I've seen your five points, what would you personally like to see changed?
AF: Of the five points I have presented to South Staffordshire, three have now become part of the Labour Party’s 2017 Manifesto – No to Fracking, No to Grammar Schools and Triple lock for Pensions, so if Labour win these will become law, that leaves Brexit and the Youth Parliament. The greater involvement in politics locally by Youth and workers is something I am passionate about and this is one I would like to see happen, and would be happy to work with all parties to get this off the ground, I am also a support of voters for 16 year olds.
*Actually the Transformers universe is far more compelling and complex than winners and losers, goodies and baddies, the colour coded badges they wear displaying their alliance. But at least you know the side you are meant to be on. The one in which your children would get a decent and free education, without prejudice and backdropped by a series of wars. Without the killing of animals being a sport that they have to get used to and maybe just maybe they could own a house of their own, in the future. For me that means voting for Labour.

Mid project statement:
Blog post 17:
Context:
For my project I have continuously developed new ideas and changed my overall outlook on my approach to this project and I have established that I will be producing 6 A3 or A4 samples that reflect my book concept and range in techniques and processes.  I am currently aiming to explore a range of printing techniques such as block print, screen print, bleaching and dying because I really want to explore with pattern and shape. I feel that by using various messy processes I can easily communicate my sea life concept in a fun child-like way that replicates the “young and childish” side to Peter Pan.
The main story-line within my choice of Literature, Peter Pan, is a boy who does not want to grow up. He has a childish sense of humour and is more interested in playing silly games, having fun, exploring, traveling and not surprisingly, getting lost. He wants to live his life in a naive fantasy. This is what led me to the choice of having a collection that is constructed entirely from playful and messy processes. I felt that block printing in particular would be great to experiment with as it is a very unsophisticated process that is very simple to learn and is commonly explored by primary school children that potentially may have the childlike state of mind that Peter has. Within the book Peter also engages in childish actions and often acts overconfident and cocky when he is around Captain Hook and the Mermaids. I originally created a mind map before I decided on my concept and established that the Mermaids and Pirates were among the same category (linked) because of their distinctive and extraordinary connection with the sea. This is how I was led to my Sea life concept that I can also directly associate with Peter, as he is a foolish young boy who likes to have a good time and therefore, The beach is where all children go to have fun and amuse theirself in the water, among the sand and collecting shells.
Therefore, I chose to develop my concept of sea life for the purpose of creating a women's beach-wear summer collection. I chose to specifically create my designs for women because of today's society of women using cosmetic procedures and changing their fashion or appearance to appear younger and more youthful. This is much like Peter, except he never physically ages or mentally matures whereas women are often trying to replicate their younger years. I plan for my line up to consist of light and flowing materials that effectively resemble the materials that are commonly used in the fashion industry to produce beach attire. The reason for selecting my choice of techniques and materials is due to the experimental pieces I have previously created which I really enjoyed to construct. Along with this, I also took inspiration from current fashion trends and the concept of my book which was the initial reason that I decided to explore with block print in the first place. Each sample piece, along with my primary and secondary research, has impacted on my decision of the type of collection I want to create and because of this, I have a keen desire to develop my practical work further. I have also allowed myself to reflect on which materials I should use, as I want them to represent the best outcomes to reflect my theme. I realised that my experimental work resembled beach-wear when I created my sample for the sea shell block print, because of the colours and material I used, which would be a great collection for me to aim towards as this relates to my concept of sea life and fits perfectly with my coral/aquatic themed block prints that looked good on thin, flowing, light materials.
Furthermore, I will be producing an up-to-date mood board reflecting my refined concept and keeping my blog posts up to date with a broad range of annotations, evaluations and secondary/primary research. By creating a new and refined mood board, I can specifically select key images that communicate the concept I have explored and visually express the types of texture and colour that my final collection will consist of along with a final colour palette.
Because I am doing a sea life theme, I felt that the best way to understand more about shape, colour and texture when replicating intricate and unique elements related to the sea would be to learn how a designer or artist would approach a similar theme to mine. This led me to the outstanding designer, Alexander McQueen. He created a beautiful 2012 spring/summer collection inspired from sea life, and used an array of delicate, lightweight materials like silk chiffon, organza and tulle giving a sense of softness. He manipulated his fabrics to replicate the look of waterfalls and sea foams. The palette of colors had gave a very gentle and complimenting sense to the garments because of the use of soft colours such as; white, shell pink, silvery lilac and peach. The research is extremely influential to how I could approach my final collection as the overall look of each of Alexander’s garments extremely resemble the designers concept due to the extensive amount of ruffled detail and his choice in colours. For my own work, I am now reassessing how I can communicate and develop my own ideas to illuminate my theme and express my concept so strong that the observer shall not need to have known my concept.
Action / Response :
Research Ruth Issett - Suggested from tutor feedback I am unsure of who she is or what she does, however I am interested in seeing how she may influence myself or my work.
Research Baddie Winkle - Suggested from peer feedback She is a grandmother who is completely styled by her granddaughter to appear and dress younger. She wears lots of accessories and bright colours that are generally worn by a much younger generation of 13 years to people in their mid 20′s. potentially festival-wear.
Take a look at a Finger printing book- This would be a fun way to explore how my prints are created and also be an enjoyable and fun way to replicate the childish imagination that Peter has due to it being a simple way of painting usually attained by nursery children. Further research suggestions from peers:  Hyperbolic Crochet and Liliarnoldstudios
