Vincent's thousand-sunshines-bright smile lights up the room more than the sun outside could ever hope to, as he digs into the sweet pastry on the plate... The way it's prepared, with a hard icing layer on top, Vincent can't fork a piece without making just a bit of a mess. You both chuckle at that, neither being the type to care too much about etiquette, especially not in each other's presence. Vincent loves that about you; he loves being messy, free, himself.

"It was delicious, thank you! Time to change your band-aids. Would you please give me your hand?"

Ever since Leonardo's cat Lumiere ended up scratching you in a rare show of hostility, Vincent has taken it as his role to be your professional caretaker for any and all difficulties you might face until your recovery. A part of it is changing your band-aids and applying medicine. Today's procedure is no different, and even if you should've gotten used to the affectionate and gentle gesture, you can't help but feel your heart skip a beat as he holds your hand delicately.

Once the medicine is applied, Vincent retrieves the fresh band-aids to put on your injuries... but these seem to be no ordinary band-aids.

You can see miniature flowers drawn on them; some completely covered in them while others sparse in order to make space for some written words. You can spot schatje, liefje, as well as a beterschap which you know from him means get well soon...

"I did those using non-toxic paint but still be careful if you take them off in my absence so that their upper side doesn't come in contact with your wounds! I thought... I could do this for you so you don't have to look at the boring plain band-aids... Do you like them?"

Vincent's cheeks are rosy as if there could be any reason to have doubts about this awfully endearing gesture - you have no choice but to hug him tight and let him know his sole existence could easily heal any wound of yours.

♪ Basically rehearsal 4 ♪

I think you know the context by now.

Anyways, this was one of our more chaotic rehearsals! The only people to show up were Ocean, me obviously and Karnak 1. We gathered at the front of our school (sounds so formal omg) and biked to Mischa's place. This is because the school KICKED US OUT because of some important formal discussions idfk lol. Our original plan was to perform in that same football field that we did in rehearsal 1, but Mischa is sick so we aggressively broke into his house. Then we made tostis and discussed some upcoming plans like costumes and places we'll be performing and such (and I was enlightened on how theatre rights work, as well as how to pronounce the 'th' sound! Overall it was very chaotic in his house! We also watched another production of rtc and changed a few scenes (we now have a suuuuuper sweet Nischa scene after Talia that honestly almost made me cry...I'll talk about it later). Then we got to practicing the scene where Ricky finally gains confidence and talks about being a prophet from Zolar! Very cool, we completely finished that scene and it has some inhabitable planet (RickyxOcean) in it but only for a little...so yeah spacedolls is the main ship but there's some moments of Ricky and Ocean, once again I'm going to discuss that in a post I'm gonna make about ships in our production! We also exchanged random silly Tumblr videos because why not. Then we did some choreo for What The World Needs and for Noels Lament. How we did that last one without Noel? Simple! Karnak 1 was our substitute Noel (Noel was originally their top 1 choice but they've made peace with being Karnak and are great at being in character). Oh almost forgot! Before all the scenes and choreo we did some character-building! We all had to draw ourselves the way our characters would draw themselves (drawing in character) obviously I made Ricky a furry bachelor man haha. Also it was with crayons and we all collectively broke the crayons! And then we had to present the drawings in-character! We also got a bunch of funny 'Behind The Scenes' videos. Oh and we practiced some stage-kissing for no reason at all...Overall, fun stuff! Then we decided to leave Mischa's house (Mischa stayed because he is still very much sick, beterschap man!!) and go to the playground near the football field because we just wanted to go on the swings (I've explained it in rehearsal 1) but there were people so we followed Ocean (bad idea) to this other playground but there were kids there too so we all just went home and got lost and had to wait an absurd amount of time because PRINSJESDAG (Dutch holiday, kinda sucks cause there's horses and parades everywhere) and then FINALLY made it back to the school and me and Karnak 1 biked home together and talked about our totally 100% legal teacherfanfiction and rtc headcanons. I've forgotten a lot because s t u p i d and also I'm tired but yeah, loads of fun, sadly probably no other rehearsal this week (it is my only life source and I am DEVASTATED but we really have to find times that are good for everyone.)

Eindelijk echt lenteweer!

Het was een slecht najaar met veel regen.  Het was een slechte winter met veel regen en niet koud genoeg.  Het was tot nu toe een slecht voorjaar met veel regen, wind en te koud.  Maar nu is er blijkbaar beterschap op komst.

Een straalblauwe hemel met een uitbundige zon en bijna geen wind.  Zo hoort het ook! 

De kersenboom is intussen uitgebloeid, het sneeuwde gisteren bloemblaadjes.  Hopelijk kregen de bijtjes de kans op op de zeldzame mooie dagen toch die bloesem te bestuiven.  De appelbomen beginnen hun bloempjes te tonen, dus dat komt wel goed.  En de ‘dode’ perenboom heeft besloten om toch twee takjes in bloei te zetten .....  

Bij wijze van experiment maaien we een deeltje van de tuin achteraan niet en geven wilde bloemen de kans om te wedijveren met het gras.  Het zal ons heel wat werk besparen, want het is daar een moeilijk stuk om goed te maaien.  Dat deel wordt dus ‘maai april, mei en juni niet’.  Tegen het bezoek van dochter en haar gezin, zullen we het wel terug kort zetten.  

Het is ongelofelijk hoeveel verschillende (on)kruiden zich tonen: Natuurlijk madeliefjes en paardenbloemen, maar ook Brunelletjes en vogelmelk krijgen nu een kans.  

Voor de rest komt alles nu in een recordtempo in bloei.  De tulpen, de dicentra (gebroken hartjes)....

Toen ik in het ziekenhuis lag kreeg ik een enorme stapel beterschapskaarten. Niet in één keer natuurlijk, maar elke dag een paar. Ik kreeg zelfs commentaar van mijn favoriete verpleegkundige over het aantal kaarten. Goedemorgen volgers vandaag wat later maar ben weer wakker en is dit weer de nieuwe blog, het is vandaag dinsdag 6 augustus 2024 en wat ik vandaag allemaal ga doen, vertel ik pas in de volgende updates, maar ga dadelijk eerst even een bak cappucino drinken, ☕️ en wakker worden, dus zie ik jullie weer in de volgende updates, ¹>

Zo dan ga ik nu even vertellen wat ik vandaag allemaal ga doen, ik dadelijk eerst even een washandje door mijn gezicht halen,n🧼👋 en ga ik daarna even paar boodschapjes doen, 🚴‍♂️🛒 en ga ik daarna even hier even wat kleine dingen schoonmaken, zoals de salontafel, vensterbank, tv, tv meubel, lectuur tafeltje, en ga ik vanmiddag weer wat oude foto's en zelfgemaakte filmpjes plaatsen, en de rest zie ik wel weer wat ik nog ga doen, dus zie ik jullie weer in een van de volgende updates, ²>

Zo had vandaag niet veel tijd voor de blog, had het dus weer heel druk, en was ook nog even mijn fotoarchief aan het bekijken op dubbele, het twee fotoarchieven een met foto's van de @stadsarchief010 en foto's die ik al had daar heb ik de laatste dagen veel van geplaatst, dus was weer de drukke dag, kwam ook nog wat vragen binnen die ik moest beantwoorden, dus morgen beloof ik beterschap, kan niet alles tegelijk, al wordt het wel een stuk makkelijker gemaakt door meta, ³>

Zo voor zie in drie dingen tegelijk facebook, instagram, en hier op threads, dat gaat allemaal via instagram zeg ik er ook bij, maar bij de ene account op x vertoond weer kuren, dus weer weinig reacties, dus morgen bericht later plaatsen, ja was weer een drukke dag, heb vandaag maar weinig foto's geplaatst, daar ga ik morgenochtend gelijk mee beginnen, na de ochtend ritueel, en heb vandaag ook nog paar boodschapjes gedaan, dus zie ik jullie weer in de laatste update, ⁴>

Nou dan is dit weer de laatste update van vandaag, aangezien ik het behoorlijk druk heb gehad, maar morgen doe ik een dagje rustig aan, dus weer tijd voor veel oude foto's, heb nog genoeg, daar lig het niet aan, maar heb soms ook veel dubbele, dus is het voor vandaag wel weer mooi geweest, dus wens jullie voor straks slaap lekker en tot morgen weer gezond en fris weer op voor een nieuwe dag, TOT MORGEN 🥱😴 ⁵<

Pijnlijk!

Pijnlijk De-man-over-wie-ik-niet-schrijf is lid van een hardloopclub en loopt drie keer per week hard. Hij gaat trouw naar de wekelijkse trainingen, drie trainingen per week. Sinds ongeveer een maand is hij geblesseerd, voor het eerst, en deze week lag er een kaartje in de brievenbus van de club om hem beterschap en sterkte te wensen en de hoop werd uitgesproken dat hij snel weer kan rennen en…

Christelijke kerken zijn veldhospitalen. Plaatsen waar de leden hopen op beterschap en herstel. De meest gezonde christenen blijken echter zij die zich wat hebben losgeweekt van de liturgisch-dogmatische standaard en met meer gevoel voor mystiek over de grenzen heen durven kijken.
