But the long of it is we have a history with Jirachi that makes me wonder what it even IS in the TPP verse

See, in my hc, Jirachi really doesn't like us. And by Us, I mean Voices because it has worked with Hosts before, it's just that it seems 9/10 Jirachi only ever comes with us under weird circumstances so it's a matter of the host getting its trust.

Unfortunately, only one host I think has managed to not break that trust, which again is why this thing doesn't like us :tppWowee:

(that host being Petra btw. Still under weird circumstances, but Petra is a girl who gets it because Glitchmancy)

I'm not sure what the relationship is with Marina, but I'm not so familiar with later Metro Sapphire lore

The point is, in my lore Jirachi itself is The Wish Maker, a shapeshifting Glitch of the highest rank (because in my lore the Glitches have a hierarchy. This goes all the way back to S2 lore when someone coined the term for the level of glitch possessing XD was a Corporal) maybe even up there with Phancero, possibly just below it

The shapeshifting idea came up in RandY when we rescued "Yveltal" but it was randomized to Jirachi. We failed to catch it and when we tried again, the cutscene and battle apparently counted separately so it got re-randomized to Registeel. Most of us joked Jirachi was pissed and summoned a mech to come after Venus and she's just running around the corner chamber screaming while throwing Pokeballs behind her. Because it's a scripted battle, so if we ran away from it, the game was like "Yveltal wants you to fight!" And just starts the battle again so no escape, had to catch 😂

Then we had Wooper 1 where the lore was Santa's Delibird can make all your wishes come true because it's bag is apparently a void you can draw anything from. Then it turned out to be a glitch and we teased that's the source of Santa's magic because he glitched several times too like frozen flying animation, going invisible, opening holes in the wall ect. Rocket Boss Shawn said he wanted to use Delibird to summon endless Master Balls, which is more of a Missingno trait but whatever

And then Petra got her Jirachi through debug menu. Like I said, she kinda gets this thing in the way Santa did. Fun Glitchmancy to do (relative?) good in the world unlike what happened with Goomtha, Shawn, Lysander, and Venus shoved it in the box (because while Yveltal is scripted to join the party, somehow the randomizer broke that part I guess since we failed the cutscene battle. So there was no prompt to add it to the team). Auguste probably falls into that category too now since he was bffs with this thing and then it got killed and he got cursed so.... :KEKWhands:

And I laughed to imagine the Registeel Mars found when looking for Cobalion is actually Jirachi using it's mech again to tell the Voices to fuck off as the old man in the cave told us the legendary hiding there has a deep hatred of humans after all it's been through

Which... Not wrong. Even if the Voices would like to befriend it at some point this history cuts deep

So yeah, Jirachi trying to help Forrest is interesting to me. Whether as a fellow glitch and it feels pity for the little one facing the cruel reality of how humans treat Glitches or it's because it feels a deeper connection with him and genuinely grants him a wish because he's deserving of it, this is... Well... Interesting for me to analyze further

also I need to see the new Pinocchio since I hear the depiction of Blue Fairy has an interesting interpretation

i mean, i put a lot of my thoughts in the fic i wrote. Forrest -- before he's Forrest -- is the glitch that sprang out from Quotes's bag and nearly killed her in Hoenn, the Voices lash out and toss him into the sea, Jirachi finds this glitch with remnant Voice-energy clinging to it and is like... "if this is an ally, the last thing i want is to abandon it. but if this is an enemy, i should probably have a countermeasure in place". so they turn Forrest into a human (defenseless, powerless on its own, the alternative was a Pokemon that could possibly run amok) and are like "ok, if you can prove you aren't dangerous, i can make you not a glitch. you've got x amount of time until that new body falls apart" and then dumps him in Unova

the fact that it took two separate attempts to catch jirachi gives me some Thoughts about forrest's whole potential-revenge arc. especially with the idea of glitches as corrupted casualties to destroyed worlds.

"you have too much anger in you," the wishmaker says, eyes critical.

forrest balls his fists. the Voices murmur uneasily in his head. "don't you think i have a right to be angry?"

"you do."

"then what's the issue?"

there is a brilliant flash of light, bright as burning stardust. when forrest blinks the dots from his eyes, jirachi is gone, and the dreamyard is nothing but mist and empty space and stone walls that echo with the aftermath of an unrealized miracle

Trigger warning for scary stuff. (Trauma, horror, murdering robots, random anecdotes) Also this is a long rant.

I have a love-hate relationship with the horror genre.

Cause on one hand, I love Invader Zim, Coraline, and 9. I guess those fall more under psycological horror?

But the moody colors, plot, character dynamics, and clear thought put into worldbuilding is so cool. I read a book with (pretty sure this is the wrong word) but melancholy theming with stars and purple tears and roses and I thought it was neat. If my obsession with my little pony and cute characters didn’t win over i’d probably be goth (is that the right grammar? Anyway)

On the other hand. I was traumatized as a kid from FNAF. I still can’t stand it today. I hate those roblox horror games. I hate that scps, creepypastas, and other scary stuff typically has no warning and is advertised to children. Just the concept of a monster with no morality or soul that will mercilessly hunt you down and kill you and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.

And i can perfectly understand that a lot of people like that stuff! It’s fun to come up with stories, and I myself have tried to do horror characters (i��m not very good at it and i stopped cause it makes me remember all of the above). But it still bothers me. Years later. Like years ago I accidentally clicked on quite a few youtube videos, not really knowing the extent of how horrifying it really is, with no clarification if it’s even real, cause sometimes its hard to tell. And i still get this today! I like listening to iceberg videos because of the facts and for background noise, when all of a sudden at the bottom there’s a fact about dead puppies or something and im like .. what?? And then i think about it for weeks and I have no rest- And the horror stuff can very easily change the way you think about things and it takes you years to realize. I thought I was going to be eaten alive when I was asleep when I was loosely EIGHT. I developed a weird thing with eye contact cause I hated when my dolls were looking at me. I probably had a couple extra years of playing ahead of me that got cut short because I was scared. I went out of my way to design a line of dolls that had blindfolds. I still have the concept in my digital art folder somewhere. Every once in a while I have a weird thought or strong aversion to something random that later I realise stemmed from the whole thing. Half the time I don’t even like to bring it up and I just mention it vaguely. (It’s hard cause my bff’s little brother keeps trying to show us videos of whatever bloody monster is recommended to him) (ive been trying not to overstep but it feels like i have an oppurtunity to save baby me from the same fate when i know its not like that at all.)

And another facet to the whole thing is that I have an interest in robotics.. like I still flinch when the halloween robots at sam’s make eye contact with me. Yet I love ye olde robot entertainment restaurants for the characters and electronics and engineering, and even down to the vibe of the red curtains. How is it even possible to love something that scares you to your core?? I think i’m mostly over that part but I still wonder about it. Also the Rockafire Explosion is great and I have a headcanon that Mitzi broke the rear axle of her boyfriend’s car. Mini’s line delivery in the version of the song adds to the headcanon that she’s innocent but Mitzi is just like that (tm)

Experimentally I made a game exploring the concept of robot mascots in disrepair that DONT want to kill you but are a hazard because they’ve been abandoned. And this was in coding class in high school, where we used Alice for some reason. Anyway the game wasn’t very good but I failed in my point because litterally the five other people in the class were teasing me that it was fnaf when that was not the point.

(One person really liked my game though, and he came up with speedrunning categories like Void% [there was a fog effect] and CatsHead% because there was a glitch where if you stood behind the cat character at the right angle, the head deforms in a way that isnt possible using just code [the game engine was Alice, ther version we used was the 2004 one lol] and it crashes the game. It was kind of funny and I kept crashing the game cause I was having a hard time with the whole thing (exposure therapy I guess?) and it was the only thing that stopped my fingers from going cold. Anyway it was really cool that he liked my game even though it was glitchy and half finished)

So um I rambled a lot but my point is that the brain is a weird thing and people should not advertise horror to children. Also please be kind and give proper trigger warnings please, other than (This is scary! If youre a wimp turn back now!). Also i proofread this like ten times but im worried something bad will happen? Why brain do that?? Is this an ominous warning or because i just dont like talking about this stuff??

Not that many, but I do have some still! Lemme load them up for ya.

Gail: I like to think that's she's kinda like a "cool older sister" friend to our main seven. I honestly can't remember if she was ever referred to as Zoe's older sister, but either way she is in my mind. She has more experience, she knows a bit more because of her age, and she's not afraid to give advice when needed.

Madame Pom: kinda similar to Gail actually. I just would like her to be friends with the rest of the pets, not only Zoe. Though her relationship with her is great! I just really like her, she's definitely grown on me. She'd be like this sort of person who would show and say that it's okay to care for yourself, apperance-wise, in any way you wish too while also being a bit bitchy lol.

Olive: I like the thought of her and Minka being bffs like they were, I wouldn't mind if that was actually more fleshed out. I also like the thought of her being this sort of more casual friends with Vinnie. Like, they wouldn't technically be friends, but they both know Minka and they're both reptiles, whether we're talking pets or some sort of anthro. They're both cold! I think there's room to bond here.

Wiggles: Similar to Olive being-friends-with-Vinnie-wise. I don't know, I just like the reptiles being together, you know? There's not that many of them ;-;. I like thinking that in the human or anthro AU he is this super tall person, especially compared to Vinnie, but honestly he's tall compared to anyone, and buff too. And he's sort of this bodyguard to our main seven sometimes. But you know, he's also soft, I love him honestly.

You know what, I like those pandas from Shanghai episode, the ones that were Penny Ling's family. I don't have any headcanons, but have you seen them just chilling with the main pets at the end of that episode??? Zoe was sitting on top of one of them's head. Adorable.

Okay, again, not a headcanon, but I need to put it somewhere, I'm sorry I just have thoughts. Because I have realized only weeks ago why the "In the Loop" episode has a time loop. It has a groundhog, like in the Groundhog Day movie. In which there was a time loop. I'm so stupid, I never realized that before. To be honest, I never watched that movie, but still, I had such an epiphany. And you know what? As annoying as Harold (the said groundhog from that episode) was, there was one moment with him that was absolutely fucking hilarious. Maybe not hilarious but just clever. So Harold said something about the origin of hedgehogs and that they are from America, and Russell was like "There are hedgehogs in here, here and here, but there are no hedgehogs in America!" And Harold was like "but you're a hedgehog in America". Amazing. (Also he referred to Vinnie as Vincent, that's important).

Overall I don't really have headcanons for those one-off pets but I do have thoughts, and I love them all, even those I didn't mention. Delilah? Incredible. Speedy? Yup. Doctor Handsomeface...? Is Doctor Handsomeface. Mitzi? Oh hell yeah. And don't even get me started on Peachy.

Winx Club Childhood Headcanons: Bloom

While I am still working on my future AU, I decided to spice up the Winx childhoods with some tidbits. First up: Bloom

💫Before Daphne sent Bloom to Earth, she has put two spells on her. The first one was an easy one, it allowed people who might find her know her true name. Daphne believed that one day she might be able to return to her home planet so this spell would help her when she finds inscriptions of her name.

The second one was much more difficult to do. It was a somewhat sentient conglomeration of magic that would protect Bloom pretth much till she dies or she acrivates her Winx. At this point in time, it protected her three times. The first one was when Mike found her. The second one was when she was being annoyed by a kid in preschool. It made Bloom look like a dragon for a second and scared the kid off. The third one was during the Knut fight in the first episode.

💫She was four months old when she was sent to Earth, which means she could at least experience a bit of Domino life during that time.

💫One significant thing were Marions stories. If the parent has enough magical experience, they can mentally project the story into the kid's brain and help them with memorisation. That's why Bloom even got the fascination with fairies as Marion described the Domino fairies in a lot of detail.

💫Bloom didn't live with her adoptive parents right away. At first she was sent to a child center for lost or abandoned kids bc they were trying to find her parents. Another thing was that Mike and Vanessa didn't think they would do a good job raising a child. They were married for two years at that point and Vanessa just opened up her flower shop a few weeks prior to finding Bloom. They were still looking out for her as they visited her every weekend. After a year and a half, they finally decided to adopt her as the search was unsuccesful.

💫She got interestes in art after she won in a school art competition at the age of 10. Vanessa encouraged her to submit her highly detailed drawing of a castle.

💫Sports were one of the things the family did regularly. From biking to swimming, they were very active whenever they could. This made Bloom the second most athletic Winx after Aisha.

💫Bloom and Mitzi used to be BFFs. Mitzi transfered to Blooms school and the classmates mocked her as she was "just a spoiled rich girl" which was not true at the time. Bloom befriended her as both weren't that liked by the other kids for being different (Bloom was quite a wild kid back then). But after starting middle school, Mitzi found other friends (which were also the popular kids) while they driftee more apart. Bloom still tried to be her friend, but Mitzi rarely paid attention to her. One rare occasion was when she broke up with Andy when they were both 15. After founding the Winx Club, she realized what true friend were really and wanted to "get revenge" on Mitzi in the Hallowinx episode.

I made this on a discord server with @storygirl000 and another friend. For now we’ve only covered some base things like the relationship dynamics and a bit of the magic system. No plot yet because the Winx plot is a Complicated Bitch

The Magic System

It stays as broad as the original, in that any sort of concept or thing can be someone’s magical affinity. Fairy of Technology, Music, Animals, Waves, Arson, Hip-Hop Beats, Rainbows, etc

Witches have a more broad magical capability while Fairies are sort of bound to their “element.” Witches are basically wide-range magic users. The Jack-Of-All Trades to the Master Of One to the Fairies

Red Fountain doesn’t specialize in Magic-Magic, but rather physical combat in tandem with magic. They balance out the Fairies complete lack of physical training and the Witches minimal amount of physical training

The Max Level a Fairy can reach is Enchantix, normally that is. They would need to go through specific trails to unlock the ability to even use any other form

The other Fairy Forms works like Mega Stones for Pokemon, in that a fairy can use a specific one depending on the environment. But for a normal terrain sense they’re bound to Enchantix or Believix

Certain Fairies of certain “elements” naturally fair better with certain specialized forms more than others. For example, Aisha thriving in her Sirenix and Harmonix forms, while Bloom would struggle

Witches don’t have such limitations but also don’t have the strengths

The Relationship Dynamics (Mainly Romantic) & Sexualities

Par request of Story, Mitzi and Andy are joining the cast!

Mitzi is Bloom’s bff before Stella comes in, and Andy is Bloom’s boyfriend

Mitzi and Stella both parallel and play off each other due to the fact that they’re very similar people. About 50/50 chance of them either being rivals or friends on a certain day

Brandon & Stella are both Bisexual, Sky is Pan, Helia is Demisexual Demiromantic, Techna is a lesbian, Tommy is a transgirl lesbian

Haven’t decided on a new name for Tommy yet, but I’m leaning towards Emmy for some reason

Sky and Brandon did date or something before the start of the series but broke off because they’re much better off as friends

Helia attends Cloudtower alongside Andy, and Mitzi attends Red Fountain

Riven is the Token Straight Chad in a group of Gays. Very supportive and lovingly bullied for being the Token Straight, would beat the fuck out of homophobes that date insult his friends

Riven & Musa are a friends with benefits type of thing because they’re the only ones in the friend group not dating anyone so they might as well. Couples discounts!

Outside of that, they’re just genuinely best friends that are stupidly ride or die for each other and so supportive

Sky & Diaspro are childhood bffs and their engagement is more political, but they don’t really mind because hey! It’s one of their best friends they’re set to marry!

But they both know that the love they feel for each other is platonic, but they both agreed to only properly break off their engagement when someone truly catches their eye and heart

Bloom & Andy do eventually break up because they’ve both grown so much at their time in the magic world that they no longer click as lovers anymore. It’s a clean break up though, because fuck unnecessary relationship drama

Techna & Tommy, and Brandon & Stella are the main relationships that aren’t chaotic before getting together

Because the Lesbians know what they want and Brandon and Stella were already dating

Speaking of chaotic relationships, Helia and Flora just being absolutely precious. They got paired together for a cross-school project and became quick friends because of their affinity for plant-based magics

No one is really surprised when they end up together, they’re just a bit surprised over how long it took both of them to realize

Sky & Bloom.... Sky is just a mess, mans can’t flirt to save his life. Someone help him, Bloom likes it though because its sweet and endearing

Bloom & Diaspro are bffs, no comment. Because if Bloom is gonna date her childhood bestie, then she gotta make sure Bloom will treat him right

Diaspro unofficially becomes the Collective Team Brain Cell, outside of Aisha and Nabu

Aisha & Nabu are perfect, won’t change anything except keeping him alive and probably updating parts of their plot to better fit the times

Andy & Heilia are friends btw, and Mitzi rooms with the boys & Emmy in Red Fountain

Bloom’s parents are wonderful people thAT LOVE THEIR ADOPTIVE DAUGHTER VERY MUCH AND UNDERSTAND HER AND LISTEN TO HER

Bloom’s adoptive parents enter a poly relationship with Bloom’s bio parents at some point

Musa has synesthesia

No one in the cast is neurotypical, and even if they are, not after the canonical trauma they go through!

All schools are Co-Ed, including Alfea

But the outfits of Red Fountain and Alfea stay the same. In that the Red Fountain students all pretty much have the same uniform and all the Alfea fairies’ forms being weird and skimpy at times because fuck it chaos. Put that boy in a skirt or pixie shorts!

Roxy being either chubby or plus sized

Andy, Mitzi, Roxy, and Bloom form a Tired Earthling Gang, because Gardenia is a really progressive and kind place in comparison to the rest of the Earth and they’re just Tired of hearing of the shit that goes on there sometimes

A crack episode where someone put in some magic dust/potions into the vents and basically everyone gets high and is just chilling really hard

Another crack episode where the Fate Winx Saga is a TV Show Inspired by the Winx’ story after Earth learns of Magic

Everyone collectively hated it and all of the magic world just roasts the hell out of it alongside roasting earth as a whole because? Homophobia? Fatphobia? Why are you afraid if people love differently from you when its none of your business? Why are you afraid of people who are just built different from you? Cowards. Weaklings

literally like i think the closest they’ve ever addressed shinji and mitsu being friends is when you select mitsuru to be shinjiro’s fever time partner in p3dan

since all of shinjiro’s dances are choreographed to tell a story, you can See they’re friends and how they understand each other but it’s a struggle because of their personalities. shinjiro and mitsuru both put up barriers so as to not get too close to anyone, and clearly, they’ve failed that protection on more than one occasion with multiple people yet still pretend to act like they have it. one of the Biggest take aways is while they don’t see eye to eye, they still understand each other, and that isn’t a conflict in their relationship. 

and the fever dance also addresses mitsuru’s grief that shinjiro died in a way the game just barely passed over. she can’t face shinjiro in the end. she runs away. like i said, they’ve known each other as long as akihiko has known mitsuru. he was one of the original three. of course she’s upset about his death, of course she blames herself for it ‘cause she was the reason he got involved, she invited him to join sees. it’s not like akihiko “i failed to protect him” or even fuuka’s “i should have kept better track”, this is mitsuru knows if she had never asked shinjiro or akihiko to join, this wouldn’t have happened years later.
