Omg so I was redesigning one of my sonic OCs and I was trying to go for like cool skateboarding parkour boy but I have pastel colors and cutesy aesthetics so heavily ingrained into my goo goo gah gah mushy dead coral brain that he just ended up being an adorable dorky baby I'm so devastated
I really like how it turned out but it doesn't fit the vibe I'm going for in his story and environment and stuff hnhgbghd so I have to do another pass at the design grr
I just can't find any good references! I have like a super specific image in my head that I can't really explain so none of the refs I found quite click with me in the way I want them to but I can't figure out how to realize my vision on my own omggggfc
It's frustrating but I'm having fun lol

you should definitely share the fem!skz thoughts with the rest of the class mhmmm mhmm totally not because i need them more than oxygen or anything 🙄
i was thinking,, what kind of aesthetic would the fem!skz members have...
chan would have emo/e-girl vibes, the type of girl whose wardrobe consists of 99% black. lots of silver jewelry. the chunkier kind,, black leather too, and of course her nails would be painted black as well (a little chipped from biting them). pleated skirts, chain belts and oversized sweaters. big platform shoes to make her look taller and fishnet stockings to show off her pretty legs <33 n piercings! a nose & belly button piercing for sure bc of course chan would have the prettiest tummy :)) her preferred hair color would be black (relaxed, not curled) or 2 tone with either black + silver grey or a neon color
leeknow's style would be a mixture of comfortable athleisure and a more preppy clean aesthetic. padded jackets, hoodies, sweatpants and ofc converse :)) minimal jewelry,, if any. probably just some (cat) bracelets. she'd prefer to dye her hair in natural colors like dark brown. in winter she wears soft chunky wool sweaters. she uses very little makeup but she loves her cherry chapstick, and how it makes her lips all sweet and sticky and kissable <33
changbin would be such a babygirl ! the prettiest in pink, always showing off her gorgeous body <33 the cleavage on this girl 😵‍💫 she'd act all coy about it but loves it when people comment on how pretty she looks today,, bc she works hard for it and everyone should know! would def match her eyeshadow to her top <33 her hair would be black and curled, either short or long she looks great in both :)) binnie's a dress girl, she loves short bodycon dresses (n of course hidden underneath are her perky nipple piercings 🤭)
hyunjin would be the epitome of artsy elegance,, pretty silver rings adorning her long fingers. she keeps her hair short so it doesn't get in the way when she's painting. loves flowy oversized button ups that look like she stole them from someone else's closet. experiments with makeup sometimes but prefers to keep things more natural,, including her hair (but bleaches it sometimes). honestly looks like a dream whatever she wears <33
han would be right at home in leeknow's sweaters :)) sungie loves borrowing her friends' clothes. her style is similar to minho's but with some edgier street vibes thrown in,, like bucket hats and ripped jeans or cargo pants. goes through experimental phases (including a punk phase and dying her hair all colors of the rainbow) but always falls back on her comfy clothes <33 never goes far without her noise canceling headphones
felix likes expensive things,, likes them to be well fitted and neat. she loves soft n cute things too and often mixes aesthetics. a natural blonde <33 knows exactly what flatters her features (makeup, clothes, etc). could be wearing some high end jewelry paired with fluffy knee socks — anything she feels like,, and she looks amazing in it. bright and light colors look best on her but at night she'll turn up wearing a tiny black dress and make everyone do a double take 😵‍💫
seungmin breathes academia vibes! somewhere between light and dark academia, but always looking sharp and pristine. the kind of timeless beauty who knows how to accentuate her features,, with the perfect haircut (somewhere in the middle) and the right amount of makeup to make her beautiful face stand out. she'd wear tortoiseshell rimmed glasses,, a vintage pair she found in a shop downtown. lots of warm brown leather and tweed to finish off her daily look <33
i.n is on top of all the latest trends. she's just so cool 😫 her style is trendy but relaxed,, a city vibe with her oversized jackets and her shoe collection. rocks a bob or a ponytail like no other ! she buys vintage sometimes,, stuff like those 80s adidas jackets, seamlessly mixing them with her modern day sneakers. her style is very laid back but she knows how to dress up n loves a good red lip <33

What is your fashion style? What would be a dream wardrobe?
Fantastic question because I actually wore THE coolest outfit yesterday! And I mean I was honestly so happy with what I was wearing like I haven’t been in a while!
My style is definitely pretty basic. I love jeans though I don’t have a lot of them. My favorite jeans are these mid/low rise dark denim bell bottoms and I’m definitely planning on buying more like those. I adore flannels and oversized jackets which I all get from my dad’s wardrobe along with sweaters and scarfs and I’ve been going to flea markets more often lately. I got a big, chunky, colorful, knitted sweater for only 5€!! And a cropped, pink, knit sweater for only 4€! I also get a lot of old clothes from one of my mom’s friends and while most of it isn’t really my cup of tea there are some gems sometimes haha.
I think most of my clothes are brown and white? Definitely a lot of those. And black turtlenecks I own in abundance. I also have a lot of pretty colorful things though. I have a lot of things in general and I’m definitely planning on selling some in the near future as well, but my overall problem with my wardrobe is that I have cool things that look cool on their own but idk how to combine them 🥶.
I’m almost never satisfied with what im wearing and it’s trying. I do have some outfits that I really like though. I also just got two new pears of sneakers and they’ll definitely make me feel good in outfits that I haven’t felt good in for some time again!!! I actually have these white corduroy pants which don’t go all the way down to my feet. They’re supposed to be like that but I sometimes feel like I’m wearing pants that are too short lmao. My vans really gave me that feeling and while the pants looked better with my Docs it just didn’t feel right either. So the first thing I did after I bought converse was trying those pants on with them and man, they look great! Absolutely perfect. I’ll definitely wear them all the time now :)).
As for my dream wardrobe, I’m not really sure what would look like. A ton of blue jeans that fit perfectly would be great though.

(points at ye) rank the pkmn trainers from ur least fav to fav :] also this is optional but ur free to include the rival characs if u want
design wise?? i dont think i can sort them from least fav to most fav but i can still analyze every design so i will rank them like this instead :-) i will do the rivals maybe some other day
-
original red: CUTE AND COOL a classic look. its funny how he kind of looks dweeby w a tucked in shirt but cool at the same time thanks to the sick high top sneakers. i will only accept red w black hair and dark brown eyes 5/5
frlg red: evil. why is he balding?? why are his pants NEON? no high top sneakers what did they DO 2/5
lgpe leaf: she is alright but i wish she had a big cool chunky jacket or something. her giant cowlick is excellent character design. weird sporty gnc girl representation 4/5
frlg leaf: funky early 2000's legwarmers girl, unashamedly a 2004 look. kind of oversaturated colors and i think she should have shorts instead or smth but its alright 4/5
-
original ethan: cool dude, up 2 no good as you can tell. his shoes rule 5/5
hgss ethan: updated to be whats cool in 2010, og ethan could be his 11 yr old self and this one could be a bit older more mature version of him. comfortable pants i like them but doesnt beat the og design 4/5
kris: very cool, sporty and memorable design. sick shoes once again and blue hair is perfect for a protagonist. 5/5
lyra: cutesy design, i like her hoodie-type shirt and overalls combo. but thats about it not one of my absolute faves 3/5
-
brendan: certainly rides a bike. oras design coolest. 3/5 hes ok iguess
may: i prefer r/s may the most, badass gloves too. i dont hate oras may but its clear they were like "she HAS to be more girly!!! >:(" 4/5
-
lucas: og lucas is a really boring boy i think 2/5, his platinum design is a big improvement now he has a nice jacket. 3/5
dawn: og dawn is cute and memorable, even if i have no idea what those things on her hair are theyre fashionable 3/5. platinum dawn could be sooo great but it literally pisses me off so much bc its meant to be a WINTER OUTFIT and yet she looks like she has no pants at all. why are you trying to freeze this girl to death @ the designers stop being cringe? 2/5
-
hilda: THE BEST a true heroic new yorker.. i so wish my hair could be a giant ponytail like that. i really like that pokemas gave her a sort of an impatient hothead personality instead of just being teehee cute 5/5
hilbert: he is pretty cool and i like his hairstyle and jacket. not too strong opinions on him 3/5
rosa: she looks REALLY fun and this time im ok w a girly design when its allowed to be just.. fun and comfy! please give pkmn protags more outrageous styles like hers 5/5
nate: ok i actually like that he has a big stupid doofus hairstyle hes a protag after all. i guess he enjoys going swimming in cold lakes regularly? i am a nate defender 4/5
-
calem: another dude w the mostly blue clothes and red hat huh. this guys more Gender but again no strong opinions 3/5
serena: def fitting for kalos and the only one alongside dawn who can be feminine i think. does her skirt have pockets?? id like a skirt w pockets. 4/5
-
elio: sm elio is just some guy so he gets 3/5 but i like that he and selene have thicker eyebrows. usum elios design is looks v fun though w the bucket hat and shoes 4/5
selene: sm selene looks MUCH cooler than usum selene just check out the shoes. why did they take away her sick shoes and bag? 4/5
-
gloria: shes grown on me a loooot since first time i saw her, those giant chunky boots should be your first cue on that she is rowdy n up to no good! scottish out of five
victor: i guess the design works... if you wish to portray him as a big briddish pushover. hes kind of a boring boy too whos feeling just a wee bit woild w the ripped jeans. cool backpack though 2/5

Could you maybe do some aesthetics/clothes/styles head canons for the modern version of the avatar kids?
oh boy, you know I love doing these things right??? I’m just gonna do the gaang plus the fire nation girls this round, hope that’s okay!
Modern ATLA kids fashion aesthetics ~
WARNING: skin tones in the images does NOT represent the characters, this is ONLY for style and fashion!
Aang:
Tumblr media
- jumpsuits!
- both long and short ones, but always flowing and breezy!
- warm colors
- baggy jeans
- bright colored hoodies
- untied sneakers
- big smile, wide eyes
- I prefer him bald tbh, to have him honor his culture
- I def think he would sometimes play with makeup
- but very light and natural makeup
- does not care about your dumb gender roles anyways
Sokka:
Tumblr media
- hair is about as long as in the show, but his sides aren’t shaved
- he usually wears it half up, half down
- winged eyeliner!
- cuffed jeans (because he is bi af)
- open button downs over tee’s
- denim jackets!!
- those baseball shirts with the sleeves and a line around the neck a darker color?
- turtlenecks!!!!
- and gym shorts let’s be honest some days he can’t be bothered
Katara:
Tumblr media
- long, flowy skirts
- and maxi dresses
- chunky sweaters on top
- baggy gym shorts on warm days sorry I don’t make the rules
- she looks cute in them tho
- small braids in her hair
- dangly jewelry
- she and Aang def have some sort of matching homemade couple-bracelets or something cute like that
Toph:
Tumblr media
- bare feet at every occasion she gets
- will succumb to THIN flip flops if she has to tho
- hair is always in a bun, but her bangs are always in her face
- cargo pants and shorts
- basket/general sports jerseys
- ripped jeans and band-tees too tho
- and zip-up hoodies
- doesn’t care about fashion at all but somehow still looks cool
Zuko:
Tumblr media
- button ups, but button all the way up so he looks really serious without meaning to
- messy ass hair
- and not in like a cool, purposeful way
- he just can’t seem to control it and gave up
- big, knitted sweaters
- long sleeves, just his fingers poking out yanno?
- soft, but in a awkward way
- Sokka convinces him to wear eyeliner sometimes but it attracts too much attention for him to be totally comfortable
- I also imagine him wearing hoodies and having his hood up a lot, the boy doesn’t like attention idk
- always smells like tea/herbs because he lives with Iroh above the teashop
Suki:
Tumblr media
- cuffed boyfriend jeans
- chockers
- shoulder length hair, often in half ponies
- doesn’t wear much makeup, but sometimes does a light smokey eye look
- flannels!!
- so many flannels, tied around her waist or over band-tee’s
- dark lipstick!
Azula:
Tumblr media
- always on point
- winged eyeliner
- red, lots of red
- red lips
- red tops
- skirts and dresses, almost never wears jeans or shorts
- thigh high boots
- high pony on point, always
Mai:
Tumblr media
- lots of black, ofc
- half pigtails
- on fleek makeup, quite heavy and bold
- purple and black lipstick
- big chokers
- black jeans and rather simple tops, often turtlenecks/polos
- docs, she has like 5 pairs
- but she’s pretty, but in a threatening way lmao
Ty Lee:
Tumblr media
- wide eyes and big smiles
- but still a little scary lol
- different tones of pink
- jean shorts and crop tops
- and short but flowy skirts
- wedges
- lots of bracelets and rings

some of the abh kids’ fashion senses in modern day no i do not take constructive criticism
alice: either all thrifted, bought from small businesses, or handmade. anti-fast fashion. vintage-inspired silhouettes but not exactly. graphic t-shirts or big sweaters tucked into maxi-skirts. dresses from that one etsy shop inspired by little women. occasionally wears pants but not usually. lots of lace and florals and light colors. favorite color is blue. any kind of blue. always wears a locket with pictures of her and alfred as children inside. either hand-embroidered white converse or some kind of mary-janes or flats
Tumblr media
alfred: ugly. he comes from a rich family so he has all this designer shit he got as gifts that he still hasn’t gotten rid of and he doesn’t know how to style them. but he doesn’t even like the designer shit anyway, he prefers graphic t-shirts with cute characters like garfield or scooby doo or rabbits on them. he thinks just because something is the same color it’ll automatically look good together so he’ll pair together two wildly different shades of green and think he’s a genius. he likes big clothes because they hide the areas he’s insecure about, and he thinks the boxy look is very masculine and he likes that. this accidentally turned into a character analysis. also he exclusively wears chunky ass dad sneakers that look like they were plucked straight from ur uncle’s yard sale but he actually spent a lot of money on them. always wears a watch. also his socks never fucking match
Tumblr media
tabatha: not afraid to show anything off. shirts with deep v-necks, half unbuttoned button-downs, bras under blazers, whatever. alternatively, very into turtlenecks. also those corset-style tops i don’t know what they’re called??? pants are always high-waisted. dark colors or neutrals. lots of dark winelike purples. faux-sophisticated and posh. HOWEVER, she also wears doc martens with EVERYTHING. it doesn’t matter if it matches or not, she spent a lot of money on those boots and she loves them a lot!!! minimal jewelry if anything. belts! belts are great! lots of her clothes were either thrifted, gifted, or are knock-offs of a more expensive brand and she lowkey prides herself in that. big academia + lesbian energy tbh
Tumblr media
dodgy: art hoe vibes. yellow, funky patterned high-waisted pants, checkered vans, the whole shabang. he’s very in-touch with himself and not afraid to be a little bit feminine so he wears skirts and dresses often. though his favorite type of look is funky patterned button-downs either tucked into his pants and half unbuttoned or tied in a bow at the bottom. a mix of handmade and thrifted and also designer stuff. also lives on depop. the colors and patterns he wears are definitely all over the place but he’s good at piecing them together in different and unique outfits. truly a colorblock king. really into overalls, bucket hats, and crop tops too. not all together, though. loves to layer- like, on a 2010 disney channel level. but he actually knows how to make it go together. big belief in fashion as an art form and it shows. big converse stan. always cuffs his jeans
Tumblr media
mamie: “basic” fashion. cardigans, bralettes, turtlenecks, jeans, teddybear jackets. it’s all like gentrified designer fashion though like it’s deliberately designed to look like it’s been thrifted even though it wasn’t. she would never wear used clothes. disgusting. biker shorts and big sweatshirts are a vibe, and so are those little pastel cardigan crop top things, and also shirts with a lettuce hem. also not afraid of solid color fashion. she makes it work. she pretty much follows the trends though and doesn’t usually stray out of them. anti-plaid bc it reminds her of catholic school. brandy melville stannie
Tumblr media
clarissa: short skirts, spaghetti-straps, crop tops. big fan of denim skirts. wears heels with a casual outfit. preferred color is a pale yellow even though yellow is so hard to find cute clothes in. favorite pattern is gingham or florals. off the shoulder tops are cool. her whole vibe is vvvvv summery which is kind of awkward considering she lives in rainy ass england. oh well she deals with it. had a vsco girl phase but likes to ignore that fact after it became a meme. she’s still a scrunchie addict though

How would you describe Noora (from all Skams) styles ? like in each different country,
I haven’t seen all of them (only OG, France, Germany, Austin, and Netherlands so far) so take this with a grain of salt, but here’s what I’ve got.  Apologies in advance for the janky collages, but I wanted to give an idea of each character’s style.  Also, if you feel like I’m missing anything, please feel free to add!
Tumblr media
Noora (Skam OG) - OG Noora has a very classic Scandi style.  She wears a lot of oversized sweaters and coats, mom jeans, and boxy/masculine cut tops.  She wears a lot of black, white, and primary colors, button up shirts, turtlenecks, and stripes. A lot of her clothes are from Monki and Bikbok. She always wears a red lipstick (Smashbox Be Legendary in Infrared Matte, Artdeco’s 12.208 Cream Red Muse, Clinique High Impact Lip Color in 12 Red-y To Wear and IsaDora Perfect Matt Lipstick in 05 Femme Fatale).  This blog breaks down Noora’s looks the same way that I do for Effy’s looks.
Tumblr media
Manon (Skam France) - I actually have a Manon style blog here (that I don’t update as frequently as I should). Her look is one that I really like.  Like OG Noora, she wears a lot of oversized coats (the two she wears the most are the Mango Prince of Wales wool-blend blazer and the Mango Unstructured Wool-Blend Coat) and sweaters (particularly a chunky mustard yellow turtleneck from Camaieu), but her other clothes are a bit more fitted.  Unlike Noora’s mom jeans, Manon tends to wear the Monki “Oki” skinny jeans in dark blue or black.  Manon frequently wears horizontal striped tee shirts and a white cardigan.  She also wears a lot of sneakers and occasionally a beret. Like OG Noora, her color palette is typically primary colors, black, white, and grey. Also like Noora, she always wears a red lip.  Manon wears a lot of items from Monki and Mango.
Tumblr media
Mia (Druck/Skam Germany) - Mia’s style is a little more casual than Noora or Manon’s.  She typically wears a sporty tee shirt, hoodie, blue beanie, and a puffer jacket with mom jeans.  Sometimes she’ll swap out the puffer jacket for a checked blazer coat.  She wears a lot of blue.  Occasionally we’ll see her in a more “Noora” outfit, with a cream or white sweater.  She sometimes wears the Noora red lipstick, but not as frequently as other Nooras.
Tumblr media
Grace (Skam Austin) -  Grace’s style is primarily solid colored tees, both long sleeve and short sleeve, in a casual, stretchy fabric.  Usually the shirts are crew necks, but we also see her wearing polos, turtlenecks, v-necks, and off the shoulder shirts.  Typically she pairs them with straight leg or wide leg high waisted trousers or skinny jeans.  Her color palette is more diverse than many of the other Nooras.  She wears a lot of blue, cream, pink, red, and mustard yellow.  Like Mia, she doesn’t wear red lipstick as much as OG Noora, but she will wear it when she dresses up.
Tumblr media
Liv (Skam NL/Netherlands) - Like OG Noora, Liv’s style plays with oversized items and masculine influences. She typically wears high waisted mom jeans, usually distressed.  She also really loves tops and coats with a collar.  Like OG Noora, she wears an oversized white button down top.  She wears a lot of jackets in soft materials like corduroy.  Tee shirts are also a big part of her wardrobe, either short or long sleeved. For shoes, she wears a lot of chunky boots, like black Doc Martens.  The thing that makes Liv’s style unique is she can often be seen wearing headpieces.  She wears a lot of headbands, and also a lot of hats.  Liv doesn’t typically wear lipstick, but when she does she opts for a more purple-red as opposed to Noora, who often wears a true red.
Tumblr media
Eleonora (Skam Italia) - Eleonora’s look is a little more tailored and structured than Noora’s.  For example, she wears a pair of tailored shorts and a black jumper dress (is that what it’s called?), and her shirts tend to be more structured and body-hugging.  Like OG Noora, she wears cream turtlenecks, white button up shirts, and vertical striped button up shirts.  Her coat is also more structured than some of the other Nooras’.  Like Mia, Eleonora’s clothes are primarily shades of blue.
Tumblr media
Nora (Skam Espana) - Nora’s style is a bit cuter and more twee than some of her counterparts.  She wears a lot of Peter Pan collared shirts (white, light blue, polka dot, vertical stripes, and sleeveless).  She also wears a lot of graphic tees.  I think she wears mostly jeans, either blue mom jeans or black skinnies, but she also has a really cool pair of black and white vertically striped jeans.  Like all of her counterparts, she wears a cream turtleneck under a coat, and like OG Noora, she wears the red lipstick.
Tumblr media
Zoe (wtFOCK/Skam Belgium) - From what I can tell (having not seen the show) Zoe’s style seems a lot like OG Noora’s.  Lots of coats, button up shirts, chunky knits, mom jeans, and red lipstick.  If you’ve seen the show and you feel like her style has some unique factors, let me know.
Tumblr media
In general, all the Nooras have a style that’s functional and utilitarian.  They tend to like solid colors or stripes, and pieces that aren’t too fitted or sexy.  Most of them wear some version of jeans, a tee shirt/button up shirt/chunky sweater, and a coat.  I think all of them wear some version of the cream sweater + coat outfit:

15 Essential Pieces You Need To Have In Your Wardrobe
Tumblr media
                                               SHOP NOW
The secret to looking pleasant and spending less time getting there—is to have a well-rounded personal style. It's simple to pull ensembles together when you have a closet full of timeless, well-fitting favorites. The Starter Trunk stores all of your essentials in one place, and because they're all hand-picked for you, everything will match your particular style. We have picked together 15 things that will set you up for style success to give you an idea of what to anticipate.
Sweaters
It's all about personal taste when it comes to sweaters. Crewnecks, V-necks, and turtlenecks are the three major styles we're sporting this season. We did say turtlenecks. This homage to the 1970s is very much in vogue right now. Chunky wool or cable-knit looks excellent on its own, while a thinner cashmere or merino wool version looks wonderful with a suit. However, if you're not quite ready to try one, the other two alternatives are timeless.
Outerwear
Let's have a discussion about it. On certain days, a fleece pullover will suffice, but on others, a down-filled puffer coat will be required to combat the persistent polar vortexes. However, keep in mind that various jackets are suited for different situations. A leather jacket like a Human Gavin Reed Jacket would be the perfect addition. Whereas a long wool overcoat, for example, is appropriate for business or date night. But a hip-length puffer is appropriate for any informal event, such as going to the gym or hanging out with friends for lunch or dinner.
Henleys
Henleys are a step up over a basic T-shirt and look great on their own or layered beneath a jacket or sport coat. You might want to have a couple of different colors and materials on hand. A thermal knit is wonderful for warmth. At the same time, lightweight cotton is great for overlaying.
Denim and chinos
They're starting to show signs of wear, so it's time to replace them. Dark washes and hues are popular, but you may look just as stylish in light denim in the fall and winter. Colorful chinos are also worth considering, especially for holiday gatherings. When you walk into the room, you'll undoubtedly turn heads.
Hats and scarves
There's no need to buy a matching set because complementary colors and patterns look fantastic together. Consider the checkered scarf. Look for an accent color in the design to compliment your hat, such as the rusty orange seen below. It unifies the appearance while also enhancing the pattern's visibility.
Jacket
The denim jacket is a year-round essential. It's light enough to wear in the summer and simple to layer as the weather cools down. Pick a good neutral color for optimum adaptability.
Blazer
A fitted blazer lends immediate elegance to any outfit, but when made in a casual fabric like cotton jersey, it can effortlessly transition from work to happy hour.
Hoodie
Hoodies are a must-have for any weekend outfit, but they're also a simple way to update your work attire. For a fresh juxtaposition, layer it under a fitted blazer.
Button-Up
Whether you've been wearing it with pristine trousers or your favorite worn-in denim, a professional, well-fitting shirt invariably looks put-together.
Short-Sleeve Shirt
Here's a simple way to include color in your wardrobe. Whether you play it up with complementary pieces or calm it down with neutrals, a strong, all-over print commands attention.
T-Shirt
Because everyday essentials receive the most wear, it's worth investing in designs that add a little something extra. T-shirts with different embellishments, such as this one, look excellent both layered and alone.
Shorts
Keep your shorts neat and a bit fitting to stay on the right side of the border between casual and messy. This deep neutral may be worn up or down.
Baseball Cap
With a stripped-down style that foregoes big branding in favor of a more minimalist attitude, add a little streetwear style—and get ready for the rays.
Sneakers
White shoes strike the perfect blend between classic and cutting-edge. Depending on the clothing, they may be athletic, minimalist, or edgy—either way, they're always cool.

Hey guys! This is @fwlw’s fashion consult. Here’s a link to the masterpost of what I offer. She went for the $40 tier, which is a style diagnostic, without the ten-piece personal shopping option. She sent the above pictures to me, plus a pinterest board.
So! First of all, lucky you with your neutral skin tone and gorgeous hair, any color is a gift to you. You have a really interesting style instinct: I can see that you’re drawn to those classical 50s and 60s silhouettes, but not exclusively. You seem to like a wide variety of garments too, that’s always fun for me; pants, skirts of any lengths, jeans, trousers, all kinds of tops, you’re not picky. I know this isn’t the personal shopper option, but I’m going to throw in a couple links for you, just so you can get started checking out things you might want to incorporate into your closet. Anyway, let’s break it down!
Things you like:
Playing with volume: usually large large on top, narrowing to something much more form fitting on the bottom. You have some outfits that reverse this, with pleats or a swishy skirt, but the size difference isn’t as pronounced. Usually you love a dramatic outer piece with some heft, layers beneath that, and then a fitted skirt with tights, or straight-legged pants. I really enjoy this silhouette myself, and it’s great for winter. It shows off your legs, gives you the opportunity to wear all sorts of shoes (loafters, chelsea boots, high-tops, platforms), and makes it impossible not to notice when you enter a space. You Take Up Room visually, and I think a stylish coat (not a trench or a duster, more of a longish jacket, actually) can take a casual outfit from simple to a capital-o Outfit. This shows up in the short jacket you wore (very stylishly) to your work party. Your white dress has an uneven hem and clearly moves well, but the jacket, with its slightly oversized faux fur collar and heavy black cut, pulls the entire look in a very intentional direction. People always talk a lot about changing up the silhouettes in your closet, but I think this one is a classic, and can be adapted to a lot of moods. Want to be at work? Tweed skirt, any graphic t-shirt, these weird yet cool boots, and this large, long coat. Going out somewhere cool yet casual on a Saturday? Literally wear the exact same dress you wore to that party, change the tights to something a little more visually interesting, and put this jacket on top. It’s faux fur, and a bright color, and I think helps create exactly the volume that appears over and over on your pinterest boards. You will notice that both of these outfits will take five minutes to put on. Skirt-shirt-boots-coat-done, or tights-dress-shoes-jacket-done. When you know the shapes you like to see on your body, dressing doesn’t need to take long at all!
Overlapping, untucked layers: this is where I can see the grunge elements you mentioned in your email. Most of the models in your pictures are wearing at least two layers. Often even more! But you don’t seem to be interested in being tidy with your layers. You’re less interested in creating a streamlined look than you are in showing off the little bits and pieces of garments that show through layering. It’s a cool, laid back, Kurt Cobain sort of thing, and I’m digging it. Layers are fun because you can create any kind of outfit and then introduce unexpected elements at the drop of a hat. I really like the idea of wearing a fitted hoodie under a cool jean jacket, with the hem of a patterned shirt showing beneath both. The leopard print would add such a cool, sophisticated touch under the ever so slightly edgy hoodie/denim combo. I’ve also noticed that you like most of your shirts and sweaters untucked, and sometimes you seem to go for oversized sleeves. There’s so much movement in letting your clothes hang like that, and I think it looks confident and fashion forward. Another way to get layers that you can switch up is to invest in some scarves! Chunky winter ones or shiny silk, it doesn’t matter. You can wrap them under the neck of a coat to add a swoop of color and texture over a blouse, or drape a narrow silk one behind the collar of a jacket or button-down shirt. I’m including two options here: this beautiful yellow satin blend, and a faux fur stole, because you seem to be all about that faux fur.
Statement prints (used sparingly) + monochrome texture: initially I thought you were far more of a pattern girl than you are! You have some fantastic prints in the body of your email, but once I dove into your pinterest boards I found your preferences ran far more minimalist. You do something clever, though: you’re attracted to single-color pieces that use texture to replace prints. So a bright cerulean colored sweater without any detailing or pattern, but a wide chunky braided knit. It draws the eye and keeps it moving all over the sweater, which keeps a heavy pullover from looking weighed down or boring. This is a really cool and (I think) quite mature take on monochrome. And luckily for you, it’s also an incredibly easy way to dress up casual outfits, which is what you said you needed help on. This garnet knit is bold and simple, something you could throw on with a miniskirt, tights, and boots, or over jeans with a pair of fashion sneakers and a peter pan collared shirt peeking out underneath it. But the design of the sweater is what makes it a statement piece, and dresses it up so it doesn’t seem like you just grabbed the first clean sweater you had. When shopping for day to day clothes, especially in the simple colors that you like, pay close attention to the fabric and the weft of what’s on the hanger. The fabric doesn’t even need to be super detailed, if you’re not feeling that level of movement; just make sure it looks luxurious. Monochrome is stylish as hell when it falls over your body in an appealing way. Not a sexy way, but in the way that makes you want to look at the garment to guess what it would feel like to touch. You’re not shy about patterns though,  you just like to use them so they count! You had some great striped items, plaid, and even leopard print. Those are statement prints: bold colors, cool adventurous animal spots, all uncomplicated and eye catching, which will work really well with your more monochrome pieces. I noticed you like miniskirts, and this one is a marriage of an interesting material, a bright yet simple print. Also it would look awesome with those white shoes you wore to your work party.
You clearly feel a sense of direction in your style, you just need to get out of the habit of grabbing something that doesn’t fit. I tried to get you things that are as comfortable as big jeans and oversized sweaters, but with more exciting colors and textures, and lots of opportunities to mix and match. Ideally a few of your work clothes should be able to transition to a party, a completely segregated wardrobe really only needs to exist if you work somewhere super corporate. I hope this gave you a little direction re: things that can be put together easily, comfortably, and interestingly, without making people stare so much that you get shy.
Happy dressing!

Chiffon pants are elegant, stylish, and timeless. While chiffon pants do tend to be on the dressier side, you can style the rest of your outfit to be either more casual or more formal, depending on where you’re going. Because chiffon is a light, floaty fabric, it's often used to make wide-legged palazzo pants, although you can occasionally find chiffon dress pants in a slim cut as well. In addition, chiffon pants come in a variety of colors and prints, so pick your favorite and have fun with this style!
EditSteps
EditFinding the Right Fit
Choose high-cut palazzo pants for a flattering, relaxed fit. Typically, chiffon pants are made into a palazzo style, which feature a wide leg with a lot of fabric around the ankles. Since this is a very voluminous style, you’ll get a more flattering silhouette if you opt for a higher-cut style that emphasizes the narrowest part of your waist.[1]
If you have a long, rectangular torso, a low-rise pant might be more flattering.
Opt for slim-fitting pants if you don't want to wear palazzo pants. Although anyone can pull off chiffon pants in a palazzo cut, if that’s not your style or you’re concerned it won’t look right on you, you may be able to find chiffon pants in a trouser style. While they aren’t common, they can sometimes be found at formal clothing shops and high-end department stores.[2]
Choose pants that skim the top of your shoe to lengthen your legs. To make your legs look their absolute longest, choose pants that just barely touch the tops of your shoes. If they’re too short, you run the risk of making your legs look stumpy, but any longer and you’ll look like you’re too short for the pants.
Remember that you can usually have the length of your pants adjusted by taking them to a tailor.
Look for pants that stop above your ankle for a modern take on this style. An intentionally-cropped pair of chiffon palazzo pants can be very flattering. However, if the hem of the pants hits you mid-ankle, it may just look like your pants are too short. To avoid this, make sure your entire ankle is exposed below the hem of the pants.[3]
Cropped palazzo pants might stop anywhere from the top of your calf to the top of your ankle.
Stick with slightly narrower palazzo pants if you’re curvy. Wide-legged pants can add a lot of volume, making your bottom half look boxy and disproportionately large. However, that doesn't mean you have to totally avoid this style! Just look for chiffon pants that hug your hips, then flare out starting about mid-thigh or lower. This will create more of a mermaid shape that will emphasize and flatter your curves.[4]
If you have wide hips, you may also want to avoid pants made of pleated chiffon, since the pleats add a lot of extra fabric.
Consider vertically-striped pants if you’re short. It can be hard to pull off a wide-legged style if you’re on the short side, but it’s definitely possible. Create the illusion of height by opting for a breezy pair of chiffon pants in a vertical stripe print. The stripes will make your legs look longer, so you’ll look taller overall.[5]
Pair this look with heels to look even taller.
You may also prefer a narrower leg when you’re choosing your chiffon pants.
EditCreating a Casual Look
Mix and match colors to create a fun outfit. If you wear all one color from head to toe, it tends to look a little dressy. Since chiffon pants are already on the dressy side, if you want your outfit to look more casual, try playing around with different colors and prints.[6]
Chiffon pants are available in a wide range of colors, from basic neutrals like white, cream, navy, and black, to bold shades like fuschia, mustard, and teal. In addition, you can often find chiffon pants featuring stripes, florals, and other prints.
For example, you might wear yellow chiffon palazzo pants with a fitted navy blue top, gold hoop earrings, and stacked wedges for a bold look that’s perfect for any season.
Wear a tucked-in, fitted T-shirt for a look that’s comfortable and casual. Although they look dressy, chiffon pants are also extremely comfortable, so they’re a natural match for a buttery-soft T-shirt. However, with that much fabric on the bottom, you need to keep your look sleek on top, so opt for a slim-fitting T-shirt, and tuck it in to show off your waist.[7]
If the weather is cool, you could wear a slim-fitting sweater or turtleneck instead.[8]
A bodysuit is great for this look, because it won’t come untucked throughout the day.
You can also wear your shirt tied at your waist.[9]
Toss on a cropped tank top for an effortlessly cool warm-weather outfit. A cropped tank top and a pair of high-waisted chiffon palazzo pants is as cool and easy as it gets. Depending on how you style it, you can take this look anywhere from a day at the beach to a nice date. To dress it down, keep your hair and makeup simple, and opt for sneakers, flats, or casual sandals.[10]
Wear a one-shoulder cropped tank and a smokey eye to add a little extra glam.
Take this look to the beach with sunglasses, a topknot, sandals, and bronzy makeup.
Wear a silky top and a relaxed blazer for a business-casual look. If your style is laid-back and comfortable but you still want to look office-ready, style your chiffon pants with a silky tank, T-shirt, or button-down. Then, toss on a relaxed blazer and a sensible pair of shoes and you’ll be ready to take on the day![11]
A structured blazer may clash with your flowy pants, although it can also provide a nice contrast. Don’t be afraid to experiment and see what you like!
Keep your shoes casual. If you’re trying to dress down your chiffon pants, look for casual shoes, like strappy sandals, wedges, loafers or flats. You can also wear boots or ankle boots with your chiffon pants, but most of the detail will be lost unless you’re wearing cropped pants.[12]
If you want to wear sneakers, opt for a low-profile style.
Try the pants on with the same type of shoe you’re planning on wearing to make sure the length is right
Opt for chunky, casual jewelry if you wear any. To give off that relaxed, casual vibe, stick to colorful, bold, or chunky pieces, or skip the jewelry altogether. Cuff bracelets, long necklaces, big earrings, and wide belts are all great accessories for a casual look featuring chiffon pants.[13]
For example, if you’re wearing a tucked-in T-shirt and palazzo pants, you might wear a long beaded necklace, a bold watch, or a pair of statement earrings.
Avoid wearing any jewelry with sharp or pointed edges, as they might snag your chiffon pants.
EditStyling a Dressy Outfit
Wear high-waisted chiffon pants and a silky tank top for a sophisticated outfit. Dressing up doesn’t have to be difficult, and it doesn’t get much easier than high-waisted chiffon palazzo pants and a silky tank. You can tuck the shirt in or leave it untucked, depending on the style of the tank.[14]
If the tank is cut to fit a little boxy, it’s probably best to tuck it in, as this will emphasize your waist.
If the tank is relatively short and is nipped in at the waist, it’s fine to leave it untucked, if you want.
You can wear a short cardigan or jacket with this look if the weather is cool.
Create a daring night-time look by wearing a bustier with your chiffon pants. Bustiers are strapless tops that are made to fit tight around your body, and they’re often cropped to show a little midriff. When you pair a bustier with flowy chiffon pants, you help soften the look, leaving you with an edgy style that’s still tasteful.[15]
Try this with cropped palazzo pants, stiletto heels, and a statement choker.
Choose a sheer button-down blouse for a soft, sweet look. A sheer button-down blouse and chiffon pants will create the type of breezy, romantic look that’s perfect for brunch with your friends, a date, or pretty much anywhere you feel like going. By opting for a sheer fabric, you’ll be showing your figure underneath the top, which tends to create a more flattering silhouette than hiding yourself under layers of fabric.[16]
Wear a cami underneath the blouse if you don’t want to show too much skin.
Opt for a blousy tank and a jacket with slim-fitting chiffon pants. Slim-cut pants look great when they’re balanced by a flowy tank top. To make the outfit look more dressy, top it with a fitted jacket or blazer.[17]
Finish this look with a pair of heels or ankle boots.
Opt for solid-colored pants for most dressy occasions. Chiffon pants can be found in a wide array of beautiful prints. However, these prints can often make your look seem more casual, so if you’re dressing up for a special occasion, you might want to stick to one color.[18]
Don’t be afraid to experiment with some of the bold hues available! For example, if you’re going on a date, you might wear fuschia pants with a black top and black heels
Consider a monochrome look for formal events. If you’re attending a formal event, it’s more common to wear a head-to-toe look in a single color. This can be a neutral shade, like black or white, or you can opt for a bold color if that’s more your style.[19]
For instance, if you’re attending a formal dinner, you might opt to wear all black.
If you want to wear chiffon pants as part of a wedding pantsuit, look for an embellished or lacy top that’s the same color as your pants. These can be traditional wedding colors, such as ivory or cream, or you can choose your favorite color, instead.
Opt for simple, bold jewelry. Since an outfit featuring chiffon pants tends to be somewhat minimal, it’s best to stick to simple, graphic jewelry. Big, solid pieces, like collar-style necklaces, statement earrings, and wide bracelets, tend to suit this style better than intricate pieces.[20]
It’s easy to snag chiffon, so avoid jewelry with sharp edges.

The $tyleJacker is the Robin Hood of the style world. He steals ideas from the fashion elite and brings them to you every week. He’s no stylist, but he loves to flex. He robs unsuspecting celebrities of their best looks and makes sure you can recreate their outfits without spending a fortune or looking ridiculous. This lo-life talks in slang, but don’t mistake his casual tone for a lack of knowledge — you"ll quickly discover he is on top of trends and fashion industry news. Send the $tyleJacker your requests at [email protected] or ask a question on Instagram with the #stylejacker hashtag.
I’m not really one to hop on trends. But some of ‘em are there for a reason.   Some trends are just practical, like summer and winter collections. Some reflect the cultural atmosphere of their time. Some are just some stupid thing one guy did that caught on.   IMO, you’re better off riding your own wave and wearing what you wanna wear.   But it’s fun to play with the trends from time to time. Throw a nod to the fuccbois that you know what they’re up to. You just gotta make ‘em your own.   So what’s coming down the pipe for spring/summer? You could easily just Google “Spring Fashion Trends,” get a WWD trend report and call it a day.   Or, you can join the $tylejacker School of Subversion and learn the trends that are legitimately interesting, and a few ways you can make ‘em your own.   Sounds good?   Let’s get it.
Trend: Warm, Sandy Tones
Anthony Urbano looks so damn cool here.
What were we talking about?   Sandy tones. Not unlike the warm, yellowish off-white of a freshly cooked stone.   You’ve seen earth tones and creams the past couple summer seasons. This spring/summer, sand and stone is gonna be the wave. We’re talking slate, adobe, sand, tan, that kinda thing. Basically you wanna dress in Mojave desert colorways.   This will be easiest to pull off on trousers and outerwear, but a t-shirt would do just fine too. Or some shoes, TBH.

High Life: Vince Slim Fit Drop Rise Five-Pocket Pants   These drop-rise Vince jawns are the perfect creamy, sandy tone for summer. The slouchy fit isn’t full-drop-crotch, but just enough to be relaxed — perfect for poolside cocktails. $225.00 at Nordstrom.com
My Life: Stutterheim Waterproof Hooded Raincoat   Dressing for spring sucks when all it does is rain for three months. I have outerwear for every situation, but for some reason I never seem to plan appropriately for rain. That’s why this Stutterheim jawn is perfect - the cut and color are nice enough that I’d wear this thing even if it wasn’t raining out. $295.00 at Nordstrom.com
Trend: Heavy Embroidery
If you’ve been following Gucci for the past little while, this one will come as no surprise.   Embroidery. Embroidery f*cking everywhere. This wave comes hot on the heels of the souvenir jacket thing from last year, when everybody realized that embroidered patches with bright-ass colors were extremely dope.   I’ve seen big, bold embroidery on everything from hats to sneakers over the past couple months. The weirder and more unusual the placement, and the bigger the size of the patch, the more highly-coveted Flex Points™ you’ll earn.   I always think of those weird DEA patches whenever I see brightly-colored embroidery, which are so unbelievably fire that I literally cannot believe nobody has ripped these off for a jacket or something.
Items:
High Life: Lanvin Embroidered Wool Trousers   WOW. These are incredible. IDK how much you know about Lanvin, but they are the oldest still-active fashion house, having formed in 1889. And they’ve done an amazing job of staying relevant that entire time. Not many companies, fashion houses or otherwise, can claim that. $555.00 at Nordstrom.com   My Life: Schott NYC Souvenir Flight Jacket   You already know about Schott. They’ve somehow managed to sit on the intersection of counterculture, utilitarianism and high fashion since the "70s, and this piece is no exception. This is one of the best takes on the ubiquitous MA-1 that I’ve ever seen. $210.00 at Nordstrom.com
Trend: Nautical Themes
Nautical styles embody an intriguing mix of breezy escapism with the functional air of a well-disciplined machine.   Can any other trend project "serious-casual" like this? I honestly don’t think so.   The plus side here is that nautical-themed clothing is dope and extremely easy to wear. Stripes and navy peacoats make everybody look amazing. It’s your lucky day.
Items:
High Life: Peter Miller Rumson Seaside Stripe Polo   Ignore how this herb has styled the polo - I’m gonna recommend you buy it two sizes too big and wear it oversized AF like Soulja Boy in 2006. $88.00 at Nordstrom.com
My Life: French Connection Stripe Henley Top   Stripes are always flattering, and I love that this jawn is cream and navy instead of pure white — just enough detail to set it apart. $48.00 at Nordstrom.com
Trend: Boots With Heavy Hardware
Military-inspired themes are present in almost every single fashion collection, at least to some degree. The beauty of the uniform is well-documented. This spring/summer, I predict the biggest homage is gonna be chunky boots with big hardware.   Like World War II combat boots, anything with a double strap just looks so badass.   These pair perfectly with cropped trousers, or even shorts if you’re feeling a little adventurous.
Items:
High Life: Thom Browne Chelsea Boot   For my true ballers, go for the Thom Browne jawn with the tricolor hits on the sides. $1,090.00 at Nordstrom.com   My Life: Calvin Klein Clarke Chelsea Boot   If you don’t wanna go all the way in on the heavy hardware, but still want a clean black boot, Chelseas are your easiest option for sure. $140.00 at Nordstrom.com
Trend: Cropped Pants
OK, first things first, jeans that tight will only work if you have the body of one of the world’s top athletes. If you are shaped like me, or anything like the average human, those spray-on jeans are gonna look terrible. You’ll be like a human sausage casing.   But that’s ok. Skinny jawns are over anyway. This spring, go with a looser, cropped fit for an up-to-date look.   You know how I can tell that these are about to explode in the mainstream? Because skateboarders started wearing these a couple years ago. That’s the barometer. Find what teenage skate rats are wearing, add a year or two time delay, and you’ve got yourself a runway collection. Swear to god.   Bonus points if you leave a raw hem on your cropped jawns. They go with low top sneakers, high tops, even boots. This is a forgiving look as long as you wear it confidently.
Items:
High Life: Acne Studios Allan Cotton Trousers   If you’ve ever owned a pair of Acne jeans, you already know how perfect their cuts are. These have just enough flare, and just the right rise. Perfection. $250.00 at Nordstrom.com
My Life: Obey Juvee II Flooded Skinny Fit Jeans   I’ve never loved Obey, but the cut on this is excellent. These are a great middle-ground if you’re used to skinny jeans but wanna play with this trend. $69.00 at Nordstrom.com
Trend: Running Shoes
OK, this might seem like a no-brainer, but there are actually some subtleties to consider here.   Running shoes. No, that doesn’t just mean sneakers. That means no high-tops. No basketball shoes. No tennis shoes.   We’re looking for a low-top with some kind of technical/performance aspect, an extended shock-absorbing heel, and probably a mesh or knit upper. Think adidas Ultraboost, like your boy Justin is wearing up there.   Bonus points for something laceless, like a slip-on or disc system.
Items:
High Life: Givenchy Slip-On Sneaker   Holy shit. Bury me in these. They’re like a futuristic Puma-meets-80’s-Balenciaga. This somehow manages to be clean and simplistic while still having over one thousand weird details. Love ‘em. $735.00 at Nordstrom.com   My Life: Native Shoes "Apollo" Sneaker   Native shoes are so lowkey. I’m shocked that a shoe this nice and well-made is so damn cheap. These are lighter than air and dead easy to keep clean — you can even machine wash ‘em. A very solid investment for a ~$100 sneaker. $74.95 at Nordstrom.com

Wore these for the first time just yesterday as we headed to a few client meetings in downtown and trying to stay comfy all at once, so instead of my regular go-to ankle boots or heels, gave these a try and never want to take them off again. Stay in the same color pallet – Black and white is the easiest color pallet to use, and one of my personal favorites because it’s incredibly chic. I chose to mix houndstooth with checkered print, but there are other great color combos that look great together. One tip? Try to stick with two colors to avoid looking mismatched.

How-To: wear sheer items
How to wear sheer top: styling tips
A fashion blogger Pam Hetlinger (The Girl From Panama) shares her style tips on how to wear a sheer top:
"First, you really need to find a cute piece of lingerie to wear under. I choose a classic lace bra to go with it, but you can also style it with something a little bit more classic like this tube top or this crop top. Next, choose a chic layer. Find a jacket, blazer or even a bomber jacket to go with it. I’ve said it many times, but remember less is always more. You want to show a little bit, but not much to keep things classy yet sexy at the same time. Finally, jeans are always my go-to when styling pieces that are a bit more on the risky side. It ties everything together and makes the outfit look more easy going and it doesn’t look like you tried too hard. Pair the outfit with your favorite booties and you’re good to go!"

Hello dear friends!
As I am leaving for a short trip to Copenhagen in a few day I figured out: “Hey why don’t you write a post about packing?”. It may seem weird to share such a thing but believe me, I used to be the worst packer EVER always forgetting important things and on the other hand taking useless stuffs with me.
“Come on you’re going on a trip to Denmark you don’t need that extra beach towel ‘just in case’! And why on Earth would you take 5 outfits with you? You’re just leaving for a 3 days!”
This is the kind of situations that could have happened to me not so long ago…
I packed wayyy too many things when I went to Italy and definitely way too few when I went to the north sea last summer on the first situation it wasn’t that much of a big deal but on the second one I basically didn’t check the weather and I just had one sweater for two weeks and the weather was actually freezing cold so… Let’s just say a lot of really stressful and uncomfortable situations could have been avoided if I had read such an article before packing but you know what? I learned from my mistakes and I basically became sort of a professional packer since then so I hope some of the tips are going to be helpful to you.
I’ll also give you a link to download a free PDF packing checklist at the end of the post to make sure you never forget anything ever again! ;)
Okay let’s get into this!
1. Make a cohesive capsule wordrobe.
This especially applies to those of you that are going on a longer vacation like for two weeks or so. I highly recommend you lay every single outfit you’ve picked on your bed and make sure the colors pair well together and that you will actually be able to mix and match your outfits. And also try to take only one pair of shoes that goes with everything and wear it on the plane (or add one more dressed-up pair if you plan on going out). I personally chose a color palette that mainly consists of grays, blacks, whites and nudes (You’re so basic Matilda!) and I think you should stick to basic colors and add one accent color to your outfit palette to make sure you never go wrong :).
Trust me that tip is a must! That will make you avoid overpacking cardigans and jackets and overall simplify your life during the trip.
(yes you may recognize these bed sheets from Ikea I feel like everyone has them)
2. Make a checklist.
This one guys is a life saver! Checklists are kind of an obsession of mine I basically have one for everything. Some of them might actually sound irrelevant to you (my sports-bag checklist, by backpack checklist for when I have a sleepover, my step by step cleaning checklist and so on…) but this one is clearly a must because if you make it in advance you’ll just have to go through it when you make your suitcase and check the items once you’ve packed them. But it’s also really important that you list absolutely everything in it this way when you have to re-pack your suitcase at the end of your trip you’ll just have to make sure you’re not forgetting anything by checking it again (and don’t forget to add your new purchases in it as well). And believe me I learned how important they were the hard way because I basically used to forget something in the hotel every time I travelled… Plus they come quite handy when it comes to avoid overpacking because when you try and pack a suitcase without a checklist you tend to throw everything you see in your suitcase even though that might not be as useful as you think.
So I’ll leave a free packing checklist PDF that contains basically the things that you need when you go on a trip right here. Of course mine won’t probably be the same as yours but I just wanted to give you an idea of what it should look like so feel free to print it and use it for your own suitcase :)
3. Four-Wheel suitcase.
Okay this one is just a little tip that really simplify my life in airports and stuffs. In the past I had this two-wheels suitcase from which one of the wheels wasn’t actually able to roll for some unknown reason and it was a nightmare to transport it and when my father handed me his four-wheel one it truly was a relief (that’s probably why I’m recommending a four wheel suitcase but basically try not to take a broken one and that’ll do the job just fine I just prefer four-wheels one :) )
4. Check the weight of your carry-on suitcase BEFORE leaving otherwise you want be able to take your suitcase with you on board and you’ll have to spend some extra money to register it as a checked luggage.
5. Make your suitcase look unique.
You don’t know how many people have the same plain black suitcase and I’m pretty sure you don’t want anyone to mistake your suitcase for theirs. So put on a nice bright luggage tag, some cool stickers or whatever you want but make it unique to prevent that kind of unpleasant situation from happening. This especially applies to checked luggage because you’ll quickly be able to spot your suitcase on the baggage belt at the end of your flight.
6. Put some piece of identity INSIDE of your suitcase.
Anything from a business card to an old piece of paper with your name, phone number and address written on it. In case it gets lost, the luggage tag falls off or someone unintentionally takes it you’ll be happy to have it returned to you ;)
7. Screen shot your travel documents to make sure you always have them with you on your phone.
8. E-mail yourself a picture of both sides of your ID in case yours get lost. (this is a really important trick guys)
9. Wear heavier pieces of clothing on the plane.
Your big coat, chunky sweater, hat, scarf, pant and boots should be worn on the plane instead of lighter jackets, t-shirts, skirts and sneakers because first of all you’ll have way more room in your suitcase and flights tend to be a bit chilly so that’s win win!
10. Lay your bulky clothes as flat as possible in the suitcase (again to save space) then flip them over the rest like so:
11. Roll your clothes.
You probably have seen this trick before. I feel like everyone knows about it but just in case I’m just leaving it here. This will prevent wrinkling if done well and will also save space. I personally didn’t roll my clothes as you will see in the pictures but that’s because I’m just leaving for 3 days so I really don’t have that much to pack but I would totally recommend it if you have to pack more outfits ;)
12. Uses purses, or packing cubes.
That way everything will be nicely organized into your suitcase and this won’t be a huge mess! I highly recommend using packing cubes, unfortunately I couldn’t get a hand on some before my trip but they are truly amazing so if you can get them they’ll be a great help.
13. Carry a medical purse with you.
I swear you’ll be happy to have some blister plasters with you because chances are you’ll be walking a lot while on a vacation and you don’t want your feet to hurt the whole time. Put some band aids, alcohol-impregnated pads, pain killers, medicine that you might be taking, throat pastilles and for girls birth-control pill in a little designated pouch. Those are just essentials that you truly want to carry with you wherever you go believe me.
14. Carry on a fold away bag or a laundry bag to separate your dirty clothes from the rest of your suitcase and do the same for shoes because you don’t want the rest of your suitcase to get dirty and stinky.
15. Put a dryer’s sheet inside of your suitcase on top of your clothes to keep them fresh and prevent any smell.
16. Have a tech bag!
To carry all you tech items and cords organized in it. To keep your cords organized I highly recommend using either binder clips or elastics so that they don’t get all tangly. Oh and don’t forget to take a portable battery charger with you ;)
17.If you plan on going to the beach switch your traditional beach towel for a turkish towel not only it will take less room in your suitcase but it will also dry way faster in case it gets wet.
18. Stick your socks inside of your shoes again to save space and to prevent the shoes from losing their shape.
19. Protect your toiletries and makeup.
First of all I would recommend you put any eyeshadow palette (or whatever makeup palette really) between two sweaters in your suitcase instead of your makeup bag. The sweaters will protect the palette from any shock and prevent breakage. Another trick to protect your compacts is to put a cotton pad in them and then close the lid.
To prevent your liquids from leaking you can open the cap, put on some cling wrap and put the cap back on that way that won’t get any chance to spill all over the makeup bag ;)
20. Spray your perfume directly on your clothes.
Because most of the time the perfume bottle are too big. You have the choice either to buy one of those mini perfume containers or to directly spray your perfume on your clothes before you actually pack them.
21. Bring some chewing gum with you on the plane.
That’s my last tip and it doesn’t have anything to do with packing but on the plane you sometimes get earache because of the air pressure change that usually happens when the plane descends to land.
Some of you might not experience it but I do most of the time and a simple trick to relieve the pain is simply to chew gum. But if it’s like a really bad pain then you should probably get some antihistamine tablets from your local pharmacy :)
There it is guy! Those were my carry on packing tips and hacks. I hope you liked it and found some of them useful :)
I’ll be back tomorrow with more recipes but I wanted to share something different with you because I don’t want my blog to be all about cooking. I don’t want to be stuck doing only one categories of posts what I truly want is to be able to share the things that I find interesting or things that make me happy whatever the subject may be. So even though those kind of posts require a bit more time to be put together  I’ll definitely be sharing more lifestyle related content over here in addition to my cooking posts. I truly hope you’re going to find this new content interesting!
I wish you all an amazing day/evening and I’ll see you all tomorrow for more adventures ;)
Don’t forget to leave a little sparkle wherever you go :) Thank you all for visiting my blog I’m truly grateful for that <3
