Another game jam complete!

I participated in the BigMode 2025 Game Jam over this past week! The theme was Power. I composed and sound designed for The Heart That Fed, a real-time strategy game where you are a pharaoh ruling over your people, commanding them to build a statue of yourself as their powerful leader.

This is my first time doing a jam while also having a 9-5 job, and... I understand why people don't do that now. This project took up allllll of my free time. But the result is worth it!

(We couldn't submit on time and therefore were disqualified... but who cares!)

Animal well is fun as fuck so far but

it's funny that a 33 megabyte game is 25 dollars

that's 1.32 megabytes per dollar

if you were for some reason judging how good a deal a purchase is by such an arbitrarily useless standard it might be the worst deal for any game released in the last decade
