hello i am here with slug facts! so!

slugs are super cool i love them a lot! most species live for a few months to a year, they hibernate during the winter. like a lot of bugs that survive winter, they rely on leaf litter to keep warm! the decaying of the leaves keeps them warm enough to not freeze.

their daily life mostly consists of trying to find food and sleeping. slugs have absolutely atrocious eyesight, they can basically only see light and dark and some general shapes, so they find food based on smell. they smell with their bottom two antenna things! (i forget the scientific name but like. the average person doesnt know it anyway so.) most slugs are primarily herbivores and eat various fruits, vegetables, decaying plant matter, and fungi and mold. but, like snails, there are a few species that eat other slugs! and pretty much all slugs will eat dead slugs and nibble on other dead animals sometimes.

slugs and snails both need a lot of calcium, snails need more than slugs because they need to maintain their shells, but slugs also need some because they have internal shells!! it shields their organs from damage if they are attacked. their main sources of calcium are rocks, bones, and eggshells. they eat with this thing called a radula, which is basically like a tongue covered in tiny teeth! it lets them scrape bits off their food so they can eat it.

slugs are mainly preyed upon by birds, and things like lizards and frogs. they cant outrun predators, and they dont have protective shells to hide in like snails do, so they use other tactics to get predators to leave them alone. slugs have really strong "feet" (the muscle they use to crawl along the ground), and can grip whatever theyre on top of really well, which makes it hard for predators to pull them off and into their mouths. they also can ooze a special slime when startled, that is more liquidy and tastes extra gross so predators leave them alone. a lot of slugs are various levels of toxic as well.

slugs need to stay damp all the time, theyre mostly water and can easily dry out and die. they usually live under rocks or logs or leaf litter because of this, and tend to stay in dark or shaded places out of the sun. they dont have a regular sleep schedule like people do, but because they cant be in the sun they do tend to come out more at night or when its raining. slugs just sort of sleep whenever, and it varies from slug to slug. they basically just sleep whenever theyre not eating or looking for something to eat, and when theyre somewhere safe like under a rock or log. they sleep usually in periods of a few hours at a time.

slugs arent exactly social animals, but because they lay eggs in clusters that range from a dozen to a few hundred and because they cant travel far due to being so slow, they often live in groups. theres also anecdotal evidence that being in groups affects their behavior, ie slugs realizing its time to hatch from feeling other slugs crawling over them.

slugs have both sets of genitals, and any two slugs of the same species can mate. they have really intricate mating rituals its very interesting to watch. if you look at a slug closely you can see a little hole open up near their head, that hole does basically everything. it's how they breathe, and inside there are their sex organs, those come out when mating. they also poop from there and lay eggs from there. their eggs are jelly-like, similar to amphibian eggs, and they lay them either buried slightly in the dirt, or under logs or rocks. they lay a few clutches of eggs in their life, usually one in spring and one in summer.

YES thank you chaos this is so interesting!!!! I've always known slugs as little friendly guys from my garden and been curious about them but have never for example kept any as pets so never really was able to figure out what their days look like! I'm also familiar with slug eggs from discovering them in the garden too!

i was just looking at anatomy diagrams and it's so wild to picture them with hearts and organs 'similar' to us! (not like, similar similar but you know, like they're so small and the variety of 'insides' that various bugs and invertebrates and molluscs have! like of course it's not all just goop in there!) Truly so magical how many creatures are living all around us with daily lives so similar and so different to ours! Its so good to be back where people are obsessive and weird! Im like. Ahh!! Christmas kinda sucks. Get these people out of my house!!! Its cold. There are no bugs. I DID see a possum chillin on my fence like twice that was rad. I got hissing cockroaches (4 of them) and hopefully more soon and i decided to do the most hilarious thing in the world. Im naming all of them after girls in my sisters sorority and seeing how long it takes her to notice (assuming she eventually does). Its funny because i dont like her and she would be pissed if she knew. No new dead birds.

i do remember opening this ask and being like whats the specific nonsense i was posting abt at the time and realizing you meant when i just sort of threw the lyrics of such great heights by the postal service into a post and was like this is dean and cas anyway yeah. very much yeah i will just say nonsense. i love it. im so glad you enjoy it to. its such a treat to say words and pretend they mean anything. i'll tell you something else too. the trick to doing it in real life is to be very confidence and throw a you know? onto the end and everyone in the conversation will simply have to accept it.

Another reason people probably didnt like Symphonia their first time but later loved it is because of the themes and undertones. Here is another essay that's going to be a very quick Symphonia walkthrough as a young child playing.

Here's a warning: I mention some stuff that happens in Symphonia. It will be mostly vague but there will be mention of death. There also might be some spoilers in here but nothing too serious, just some of the beginning story more than likely.

Let me begin by saying the box art looks pretty cool for the Gamecube but the front and back does look like a very, very young child's RPG. It seems like an RPG that was creates for super young children that havent hit there teens or are in the very first years of being a teen.

I'm about to give a quick walkthrough as if I am a very young kid playing Symphonia for the first time. This is to show why a lot of people had this as their first game in the series but didnt like it. Why a lot of people weren't the biggest fans until their second playthrough or when they gave it another chance and realized it is absolutely stunning. A top 10 game of all time across every platform created.

First off, there was a lot of adult themes and tones in Symphonia. Obviously, I dont mean nudity or sexually explicit material. I'm talking about the Desian Camps. The idea that millions of people are being captured, put to work, then put to death or letting them die. These type of adult themes.

The first time we played, we were young. We didnt get choked up or super sentimental about what was going on in video games. We didn't care so much about the parallels between real life and our video games. Usually, we just wanted something fun to play. I mentioned it earlier but the start of Symphonia looks super childish and like it's going to be a lighthearted adventure. You have a cast of kids (2 very young adults that added comedy and badassness). A majority of the beginning fights are snakes, birds, bunnies, and bears. The battle system is fun but also easy enough to get the hang of. You can honestly button mash with the occasional arte and not worry about combos . You didnt have to worry about combos at all, really, and just use artes when you wanted. Some of the artes were pretty cool looking and strong too which added more of a "wow, the combat system is cool. There's attacks and a bunch of power attacks you can use. You can also move around and dont have to wait like a turn base game." It's also possible to just button mash or use all your MP on Artes and really kick their ass.

Combining all of those elements together makes it seem more kid friendly than it really is. Playing through the start makes you feel like a 10 year old playing his first RPG with an age appropriate game since you control a bunch of kids. The fights are easy and usually bees or some weak animal. Nothing serious, really. The artes are cool and the more artes you learn, the cooler and more fun Lloyd gets. It's cool to play as Lloyd when you learn a new arte or two.

So far everything has been pretty lighthearted. This RPG is fun, the characters are pretty cool and can be funny. The dungeons aren't super confusing. It's just a fun game overall but nothing spectacular or crazy. Really the worst thing that has happened is "Desians bad. They destroy hometown over something stupid."

Marble's scene is the only real adult sad part in the game so far. They kill Marble in a way that you kind of don't get crushed by emotions. They let you down pretty easy and you get Marble's ring for Genis so now she is always with you. Her death isn't too bad because she was old and it was just one old woman in the game. It's sad but not devastating. Also the Ranch. They use them as slaves. But tbh it doesn't really hit you that they resemble real world stuff and you dont see the parallels like you should. You just kind of write it off as shitty and Desians are evil and the bad guys. Surely you save everyone from the ranches and that's the point of the game. Kill Desians and save everyone.

You get to the dessert oasis where Colette crashed through the wall. Cute and funny. Oh, Lloyd and Genis get captured by bad Desians but the wanted posters were bad so it made it funny. Eventually, You escaped the bad, bad Desians and are back with your friends, yay!!! You go to the fire shrine, finally see more menacing enemies but they still arent that bad, and start your first puzzle dungeon! It's short but a lot of fun with a boss fight. It was a little tough but fun!! You beat the shrine, yay!!!

The serious Angel (Remiel) comes down again and talks to Colette and the gang. He gives her wings! She is becoming an angel. At this point you are thinking, "How cool. Colette is becoming an angel!!! She has wings now and can probably fly wherever she wanted to go! This game is really fun. It's not bad at all. The weapons and equipment aren't difficult and it's fun buying or finding stuff better than what you have and equipping the new stuff. The skits can be funny too and I get to know the characters better with the skits. This game is really cool, actually." It's time to speed this post up, though. I'll be going faster and doing more short versions/storytelling.

We sail across seas and bow we are at Palmacosta!!! Here's where things get a little weird and stuff too. So Palmacosta is cool. We look through town, only to find imposters. That's right. These fools are pretending to be me and my gang. Im the one with a cool group and shit. People wanna be me so bad!!! Lol.

By the way. General Dorr is also the Mayor of Palmacosta.

Imposters are rude and we meet mayor who seems cool till he tells us he thought the imposters were us and gave them a book we need. So....little me is like

"YOU DID WHAT!?" .... so we leave. Lol

We go to mountain gate, cant pass yet, learn Palmacosta is under attack by ... you guessed it... Desians. ,

*little me has eyes stretch wide open* But I was just there!!!! Sucks, I know.

So we head back and make it to Palmacosta. Remember the girl we saved from extreme questioning and customers that were badgering the girl since she was the store clerk/owner. Of course not. I never mentioned it. I saved her back then at the start of Palmacosta. Naturally they chose Chocolate, in some weird, sick revenge way for me making them look weak when they verbally attacked her. So Chocolate is about to hang and be killed. Some stuff happens and Lloyd ends up using his sword to save Chocolate. Boom. He is a hero. He saved someone from hanging....

Wait.... hanging? In kids game? Damn that's a little intense for a kids game but I guess you do save her. Carry on.....

So let's speak to the Mayor. He was conveniently gone while that was happening but meh. Coincidence right? Yeah. Yeah.

Talking to the General/Mayor we decide to go rescue everyone who has been kidnapped from Palmacosta. By the way there's a ranch for most cities that Desian's manage. So there is a Palmacosta Ranch and a bunch of people from Palmacosta are now held prisoners in the Ranch. Boo! But I digress.

Off to Palmacosta ranch!!! We finally reach it and... oh look... General Dorr"s personal Aide/Assistant. What's this? He is a traitor!? You've got to be kidding me! I trusted that dude!!! Maybe that will teach little me to be careful about who I hang out with. A pretty good life lesson for little me and nothing too serious. I'll handle that later though, and rescue the prisoners in the Palmacosta Ranch.

We save Chocolate but she would almost rather die than be saved by you. So you save her but not without a fight and learning some shocking stuff that little me is like "WHAAAA!!!???!??? NO WAY NO WAY NO WAY!!!!!!!! she still lives cause of you and you fight the leader of the Ranch and win that battle!!!

So yay!!! You won the battle and beat Palmacosta Ranch! Good job little you! You did awesome!!! The game has been really great, with a pretty light tone for the most part. Everything is bright, the enemies arent that bad at all, nothing truly fucked up has ha---"we're going to blow up the Ranch with people still in it" -Raine.

That's right.... "YOU'RE GONNA WHAT!?!?"

So yeah, we blow up Palmacosta Ranch. Desians were probably still inside along with a janitor named Chet that everyone forgot about lol. So bye bye Ranch!!!

Back to Palmacosta to confront the traitor General Dorr!! Here we are! General Dorr and his daughter are standing suspiciously in the basement of the government building in Palmacosta. I'm sure he knows that he has been found out. I know he tried to sabotage the Chosen's journey. He has no exc--- OH NO! They got his wife with the Demon Seed, too!! Now she is a monster! No wonder he is a traitor. He is trying to get a potion which is the cure to save his wife. I kind of get it but that's pretty messed up. He is basically being held hostage. This game just got a little darker.... but it could be worse, I suppo----WHAT!? HIS DAUGHTER IS A DEMON! DID SHE JUST SAY SHE KILLED HIS DAUGHTER A LONG TIM AGO AND HE WAS TOO STUPID TO NOTICE!?"

She really just called him stupid and is acting like he is the biggest idiot for not knowing she killed his daughter!!! This whole time she has pretended to be his daughter. That means she probably went to her school, played with her friends, talked to her dad and played with him. She probably told him she loved him which is so messed up. She also knew there was no potion but continued to watch him and be ready to kill him if he tried to snitch about his wife. This got dark really fucking fast wtf!!! She is a complete demon stranger in a girls body pretending she loves her daddy, plays with friends, and does child things but is a demon the whole time. "I love you daddy says the demon pretending to be your daughter. That's really sick and twisted. Sad thing is little me is like "well that's weird. How did no one notice at all she was acting odd?

Maybe she didn't have any friends and her dad is to distracted about the medicine for his wife, he doesn't notice.

That's absolutely crazy and completely dark. Woah. This game is way way darker than it lead me to believe when I was young. That was pretty much my first reaction/playthrough when I was little. Symphonia is dark as fuck.

I played a little bit further to the next ranch my first playthrough but quit when I found out they were killing people like it was nothing. I was really little then, too, btw. I quit because it got really dark and kind of weird and complicated to fully grasp everything going on and the parallels to the real world. I always played RPGs relating it to real life and such. I have done that since my first RPG so with Symphonia I had to quit. It was too dark and weird when I first played it.

Once I came back and beat Symphonia I thought it was Brilliant. It was absolutely amazing and worth so much more praise. I loved it and still do. Even the dark side of things.

Turns out I am not the only one who did this. Play through, reach a dark part or part where you realize how dark it is, and then quit. I'm glad I picked it back up, though. It's almost a perfect game!!!

So yeah... here's a playthrough of little me and Symphonia. I was too little to be playing games with dark themes even if they were short or small. I say this because I was stupid small and really let my imagination run wild when I played games and read. I often make things 20 times worse so I really shouldn't have played Symphonia till later.

Anyways it's amazing. Nearly perfect.

Alright, morningblogging yesterday’s 2020-01-17 upd8 to Homestuck^2 let’s go!  Spoiler-free again.  I kinda don’t want even the next chapter names image-spoiled above the cut anymore so I’m going to have to figure out WHAT to put above the cut in these liveblog posts for visual reinforcement... a unique silly icon?  Going back once I’m done with the upd8 and posting something non-spoilery but weird-looking out of context?

Eh, can’t be assed.  Just know that after this I’m going to pony up for the Patreon commentary and skim it for anything plot-useful to y’all (in a separate post).  Let’s get started.

Dave, I’m pretty sure regular-ass no-Green-Sun Space powers can flip a few lock tumblers too.  (--though, I guess from context this was a Jakeship technolock.  Confirmation on the ship’s bad taste in design.  --I think I’m foggily remembering it said in the Epilogues that they took one of Jake’s ships just like Dirk did, too... man, being depressed so much by the Epilogues sure took a lot out of my ability to recall them decently.)

So this was by far my favorite episode of the season to date. I know a lot of people were worried about the animation quality and just overall quality JC staff has been putting out thus far, but I think it’s clear why the rest of the season has been average majority of the time. They spent. All the time. And budget. on. This. Episode. Every Character looked beautiful. The animation was fluid, not too blurry, not too flashy, well paced, and with high quality art. I just. Oh my god. I’m in denial right now that the season only has One episode left. Just 24 minutes more. Until WHO KNOWS when. Whos gonna cry with me next week? pls im gonna need like 100 shoulders my weak heart. ahh shitttttt

i am writing this post bcos i want you to understand fully what youre considering.

im also writing this because i own a parrot, and dogs, and cats. (and other animals as well but these are the relevant ones) this is a long post but please, please read it if youre thinking abt owning a bird.

its my duty as a reaponsible parrot owner, who also posts cute videos and pictures of my parrot, to say this.

parrots are not like dogs or cats. if you want to own a parrot you have to understand that you WILL get bit, and the larger the bird, the more dangerous those bites - even the ones that arent Meant to be Seriously Harmful - will get. the bites WILL hurt. this is why you have to learn to both understand your bird, so you stop before the bird SERIOUSLY decides to bite you, and so you can tell the difference between playful nibbling and nipping, or investigating nibbling, and one meant to hurt you. parrots only have two ways to investigate their world- through their feet and through their mouths with their specialized tongues. and their feet are usually holding onto whatever theyre standing on (or may be eating). so really they only have their mouth. You. Will. Get. Bit. its inevitable. it WILL hurt. you will have to get used to it.

parrots also do not care to please you like dogs, nor have they really evolved/adapted to be around humans like cats. the presence of humans to dogs and cats is beneficial to them bcos they evolved alongside us (and in many cases changed /because/ of us). parrots are not domesticated. but theyre not wild or even feral, if they were raised in captivity. theyre just an animal, and theyre going to do their own thing. but they are social and they are smart and they can bond with you. but you WILL be making the effort to understand them on their terms before they will understand you.

the lifespan of a parrot is something you /need/ to carefully consider as well as the fact that you WILL spend a lot of time and money caring for them. depending on the species and your own age there's a solid chance that they WILL outlive you and you MUST be ready and able to account for that. you also wont be able to travel as freely with a bird compared to a dog or cat unless you can get someone to birdsit - which is FAR different than cat or dog sitting - or unless you can take your bird with you and provide for them sufficiently along the way. when you own a bird, much more of your life will be about working around THEM and adapting to THEM than their lives adapt to you. dogs and cats are much more flexible in this reguard.

theyre... far different than a cat or a dog - neither of which im saying are necessarily easy animals to own. dogs and cats have their own challenges but they tend to be lesser obstacles for most people than parrots. parrots have different social and enrichment needs, and since theyre uncommon pets, it can be harder to accommodate for them if youre not willing to go out of your own way. theres not places or things built into society that really fit parrots' needs like dog parks are. they need social interaction and lots of it. you will have to provide it.

parrots are also destructive. youll have to give them things they can destroy. its just in their nature and it cant really be changed. theyre curious too, and love to investigate. theyre also loud, and they will not care if you have a headache or need them to be quiet for your phone calls. theyre birds. theyve never needed to be quiet in their lives. theyre messy too. you will spend a lot of time cleaning up after them.

parrots are intelligent animals but the reality of owning them isnt like all the cute pitures and videos you see us sharing. behind every video is years of bonding and training and screaming and cleaning and hundereds and thousands of bites and nibbles and holes in your shirt and poop on your walls. they function more akin to a messy, loud roomate you have to clean up after than a simple pet who looks cool or does cute things.

finally, god forbid, your parrot gets sick. as their owner, you HAVE to be very vigilant about this. parrots mask illness well, and most people do not know what to look for in a sick bird. by the time you catch it, unless you have been keeping a very keen eye on your bird and you know your animal well, there is a good chance it could be already too late. not to mention you cant just take them to any vet office! you have to find one that specializes in birds and exotic animals. and the treatment for illnesses in birds is very expensive! if your bird gets sick you WILL be burning a decent sized hole in your wallet.

no animal is trouble free and easy to own, but some are more suited to life with humans than others are. and some animals are easier to care for in general than others are. if you want a parrot you have to consider - seriously consider - if youre willing to put in the time and the money. you will have to sacrifice things for them.

think carefully about what youre getting into.

“It is actually Soren. Yep, just Soren. I lost my original belonging and i didnt take any of my families surnames. Not permanently nor in any way official.”

“Oh well, my parents wanted a pair of short and strong names that ring together, even if they had to get a bit creative. Also, as i learned, a pair of names that can be lilted and growled equally well haha “

Got less intense since i learned how to survive and sustain myself, and grew a strong body to back up my needs and will, but there are always new things to learn and lessons you never asked for too. I had some actual teachers along the way too, but lately mostly i just teach myself what i dont just encounter by diving into new things. Which is not only fun by the way, you are bound to learn a few things. Then there are books, theories, researching, digging, honing instincts and reflexes, combining and refining techniques or theories, trial and error... Life is a bottomless school “

20. Do you ever want to marry and have kids one day?

“Wow, wow, you mean like.. babies? Sweet Fade, i wouldnt dare breathe their way, they are so fragile... little young PEOPLE, persons who arrived so recently and understand so little and cant even tell whats up just cry and i cant understand them, i understand every language but i can not understand babies for my life and ... and... thats terrifying! And do you have any idea how EASY it is to kill someone? And then there is that small bundle of vulnerability, my proximity could be lethal to it! And .... *sigh*... sorry just... It all would depend on that special person i might find who would want to keep me for life, for better or worse, and if they wanted kids... even if babies, i would be on board. I would do anything for that special someone. Even learn baby care... Bigger kids, well, i already have :D . In good care. If any of them were to be taken under my constant and indirect care, would depend on a lot of things. Right now they are much safer otherwise.”

‘Im not afraid of ANYTHING!” *eyes instantly betraying* “Fine, fine, gotta be loss. Ironic, isnt it, for i have but what is on my person. Replaceable come and goes. Im mostly afraid of losses that arent even really “mine”, but others. Loved ones or even barely known ones loosing their lives or their light. Loosing my sister, myself, my heart... that is all i am. The only thing i cannot live without is my heart, i AM my heart, and loosing pieces of it or have it broken or freezing through a hole... I hate how selfish that is. But yeah. There you go. I still tend to leave pieces of it everywhere, and it only grows with that, funny how that works, but it also tends to get wounded on every turn. I fear the numbing cold. I fear the day when i cant hold it together and go on anymore.”

“What you see is my whole wardrobe, hahah. But i shift and change to blend in from the dirt of Orzammar’s dust town to the shining halls of Orlesian palaces. Its fun.  What i like to wear mostly are well covering clothes, that allow a great scale of mobility, but not baggy to catch on things. Made of high quality materials only. My clothes MUST be of great quality materials, more for comfort than durability. Heightened overall senses arent always fun. Oh and for outer wear i like leather, especially dragonskin stuff for light armor, and long boots are the only footwear i acknowledge, some with high heels, and a matching pair of long gloves from soft fine leather are necessary too. Long coats from mostly leather and all the necessary leather straps and harnesses and pouches and belt too of course. If it counts, all my current favorite necklaces with magical pendants and bracelets are a constant wear too. It also doesnt hurt if my clothes look great. But fine materials tailored to my body and my needs usually bring that effect without further touches.”

I wish i could say when i was a baby, but truth is i think it happened a few times during the wilder rides of intense poison training with blood magic assistance, but im not really sure, i was barely conscious through those parts from pain and all kinds of nasty sensations, i came to my senses naked and tucked in after them. I never do extreme limit pushing training alone. There were also times when i was subject to some blood spells and experiments unwilling too. I have some suspicious blurry memories that i have made all sorts of messes. Egh. Lets move on to more fun questions”

:$ akjerjifldvsildsvi i- honestly im flattered. i clarify that im doing this in a non creepy way because i asked my friend if she wanted 2 see my bones and she said it was very jeffery dahmer of me. fortunately i do not have the desire to taste my collection nor do i yearn for human stew. so its just because i think theyre neat and i like looking at skeletons and seeing how they fit together plus how different animals can have similar anatomy but specialized parts! fun fact! did u know squirrel teeth are /long/ like they go up into the skull rlly far. i did not.

i store them mostly outside wherever the dogs cant get to em, except the ones ive finished cleaning that i can store on my shelf.i fear for the day when it inevitably gets knocked over and i have to try and located 100 little rodent bones in the carpet. cleaning them is a helluva process tho like so many buckets and the folks i cohabitate with do not like it when i wash bones or leave buckets in the bathroom so i am not allowed to bring a bone inside until its 100%. this is a fair rule, i suppose. i am also not allowed to use the kitchen pots for boiling anything thats not food. this is also fair but i figured if i wash it after it'd be fine. better safe than sorry when it comes to bacteria ig lol.

also dude i'd be frickin psyched if someone wanted to take some bones i LOVE sharing them. my friend who insinuated i will become a serial killer actually took one home with her. the rest of my friends have informed me bones do not make good birthday gifts, no matter how cool they are. again, fair. my little sister makes jewelry with them sometimes.

YES i wore gloves oh LORD i am far past the point in my life where i do any of this bull barehanded. thats a lie. i try to wear gloves most of the time, but admittedly i am very absent minded. ie, i didnt have gloves coming out of the office but i didnt want to just shove a dead bird in my pocket, so i took off my mask and wrapped it in that and then shoved it in my pocket. i try to carry around a plastic bag with me at all times just in case i see some bones or roadkill or something.

The meeting

Horus felt as though he had too much responsibility. Ever since he had won the contendings against his uncle two weeka ago, he was overloaded with the work for damages the seven year battle had cost and duties that were negelcted during it. Horus was lucky that Set wasnt a bad king and had done his work. Now, since Ra was out of commision, Horus had to meet some sun god from the greek pantheon so they could discuss things about the sun. Horus could think of a million better things to do then to meet with some greek guy he didnt care about. Horus got up from his throne and streched. After sitting in that uncomfortable golden chair for three hours listening to peoples problem, Horus was glad for the break. Even if that meant he had to talk to the greek. Horus made his way out of the throne room and down the marble hall of the palace. "Where you going Horus" Anubis asked, suddenly appearing at his side. Horus jumped slightly before turning to the jackal headed god. "Going to talk to the greek" Horus grumbled and Anubis frowned, his ears folding down. "Not like that you arent" Anubis told him, grabbing Horus by the arm. Horus raised an eye brown. He looked down at the plain white kilt he was wearing and the golden collar with a red ruby around the middle that hung around his neck. "And pray tell, why not" Horus asked, hands on hips. "Trust me on this. You know how death gods have those monthly meetings? Well the first time I went to one, I practically scared Thantos to death and made Hel faint. All because of the Jackal head. You would think that they would fine with it, see as they deal with dead bodies but everyones a critic. So I usually go to those with a human head. I suggest that for your meeting with this sun god, you do the same" Anubis told him. While he spoke, Anubis had taken a flower from one of the many growing from a pillar and picked off each petal one by one. Horus thought about what Anubis said. All the gods from other pantheons so far that he had spoken with would give him weird looks as they had their conversation. Anubis was right that it would be much simpler and avoid an akward conversation if he just used his human head. "I hate it when your right" Horus finally said. "Then you must always hate it". Horus was about to repond when a servant appeared to them. "My Lords" the servant bowed. "The greek is here Lord Horus". Horus nodded. "Thank you. Tell him Ill be right there" Horus said. The servant nodded and hurried off. Horus snapped his fingers and felt magic around his head. His bird head changed into a human one and his beak morphed into a mouth. "Good" Anubis said. "I better be going. If you need me, Ill be looking for parts of Osiris's severed body. Found his left foot yesterday"! And with that, Anubis morphed into a jackal and ran off into the desert. Horus sighed and headed towards the room where hed be meeting with the greek. Horus put a had on the wooden handle but paused before opening it. He gathered his thoughts before opening the door. He was glad he did. Standing on the other side of the door, was a the most beautiful god Horus had ever seem. His skin was perfectly tanned and his eyes were the brightest blue. His hair was golden and curly. Horus just wanted to run his hands through the other gods hair and by Ra, his arms! They seemed to muscled! He wore a white, over the shoulder toga and a lural wreath in his hair. Horus must have stood their gawking for several minutes since the god was now looking at him with a worried expression. "Hey are you alright" the sun god asked. "Huh? What? Oh! Sorry, i think i zoned out for a bit. Im Horus" Horus told him, feeling his face heating up. He put his hand out. The god smiled and shook his hand, sending a jolt down Horus's spine. "Im Apollo" the golden god said. "Im Horus" Horus said, still shakeing his hand. Apollo smiled. "You already said that". "Oops" Horus wanted to run himself over with a chariot. "So I was thinking that maybe you guys could elect a new sun god. But if thats to hard, cause gods good at their jobs are hard to come by, then you can have some one stand in for a shorter cycle and I can have the other pantheons have more time to their cycles. Its easier for them since they would actually beson gods" Apollo explain, pulling out a paper. Their was a circle in the middle that was cut into different parts. Horus yanked his thoughts away from the god infront of him and thought to the problem at hand. They wouldnt be able to find a new sun god and train them on such short notice so haveing a stand in would be the best option. Horus's thoughts turned to Set, who knew how to work the solar barque from his days defending Ra. This would also keep Set out of trouble. "Y-yeah! I have a perfect guy for a stand in but, um, could you give him this time slot" Horus asked, pointing to a part of the circle. "Thats our least busiest part of the year and hes kinda my self-appointed advisor of sorts" Horus asked, kicking himself for stumbling over his words. Even though Horus had many fights woth his uncle, he had to begrudgingly admit that his uncle had good advice. "Sure! That settles it. Thank you for your time" Apollo said turning to leave. Horus panicked. "Wait"! Apollo turned, a questioning look on his face. "Will you come back?" Horus asked, trembling where he stood. Horus felt stupid. They just met and talked for like five minutes. Horus probaly seemed like a weirdo. To his surpirse Apollo grinned. "Only if you want me to". And he did come back. Alot. First they were companions. Then friends. Then weeks after that even more. And after that accidental kiss at the oasis, they were lovers. The only people who knew about their relationship was Anubis, Horus's mother Isis, Apollos twin sister (who Horus had never met) and, by accident, the Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu. But Horus never showed himself to Apollo with his bird head. He was too afriad that Apollo would think he was weird and leave him. It wasnt untill a few months of dateing that the topic came up. "Dont you have an animal head like your cousion? Wait brother?" Apollo asked as they gazed at the stars one night. "We're half siblings. Same dad different mom. But he sees my uncle as more of a dad since thats who he grew up with" Horus corrected. He felt Apollo sit up next to him. "Thats not what I asked you" Apollo told him seriously. "Well- I- Erm" Horus stuttered before sighing. "Yeah. I do". Horus sat up but looked down in his lap. He clutched his hands together and tried his best not to panick. Apollo was going to think he was strange and leave him. The best thing that ever happened to him was going to leave. "Thats so cool! Can I see"? Horus froze. "No". "Why not? Whats wrong birdy?" Apollo asked, moveing closer. Horus winced but decided to tell him the truth. "Im scared that if I show you, you'll be disgusted and leave" Horus said. For a few minutes, they sat in silence. Suddenly, Horus felt a hand grab his chin. His gold and silver eyes met with Apollos blue ones. "I dont care if you have an animal head or not. Ill love you either way. Just let me seet the real you" Apollo pleaded. Their faces were really close and Horus felt his face heat up. Slowly, he used his magic to reveal his bird head and Apollo smiled. "Beautiful.." Apollo whispered and kissed him. Horus didnt know how they did it since he had a beak but he enjoyed it. He wanted to scream from the rooftops how much he loved Apollo but he couldnt. We never actually got these bc we got barbies instead but we always stole them from our brothers who Didnt mind BC they all had 100 other ones already. They had trucks - lesbian staple in the car world, classic red cars- bi staple in the car world, and cars with flames- pan staple in the car world. Why didntbthey give these to girls again??? 10. Barbie. The nutcracker had come out so we could all get the fairy princess and prince set but they also had pop stars, doctors, and McDonald's employee dolls. I always got the fairy with purple plastic wings which is super gay. But also achieving your feminist dreams and being a doctor or popstar is gay too. Also gay girls work at McDonald's so. The token str8 toys r the action man figures which r too generic aggressively masculine to be gay.
