Bullshit! Bullshit! How are Pandreo and Merrin not werewolves?! Don’t yak at me about Merrin’s tail allegedly being fake! You can’t have Pandreo howl like a wolf and give Merrin a tail without making them werewolves! That’s not how character design for humans works! Unless you mean to tell me they’re furries and Merrin wears a tail into battle for funsies!

On a less disappointing note, the plot’s actually getting interesting! For once someone acknowledges the possibility Alear’s a fraud! They aren’t, but I found it strange how everyone up to this point instantly believed Alear is the Divine Dragon.

Fogado also deliberately hid the fact that he’s a prince rather than forgetting to mention! He’s actually pretty clever!

But if it takes half the game for the plot to get interesting… your writing’s not up to snuff. I’m sorry. If I weren’t the type to at least try to finish every game I play, I would have put it down one day and never picked it back up.

Also, I have a conspiracy theory: Elyos is actually in a post-apocalyptic state from universes merging with each other, hence the maps from previous games.

Playing Pokemon Scarlet

I have been playing the recent Pokemon release; Pokemon Scarlet, blind. As in, I did no research and I haven't watched any letsplayers or poketubers to understand any of the difficulty curves and new mon introduced with ScarVio. What I came to realise is that due to it's open world nature, ScarVio has an incredibly steep difficulty curve if you don't know where your going or what regions (and the nearest Titan pokemon, Team Star Base and Gym Battle is) you end up in wild encounters, trainer battles or at gyms that a radically overlevelled in comparison to you.

I had just assumed Gamefreak had heard people bemoaning the lapse in difficulty with recent additions and racheted that shit up hardcore. Leaving the player to fight Gym leaders who had aces several levels higher than the max training cap you have. Turns out I had just goosestepped into the harder gym battles; but because of open world planning, I can't tell where the next gym close to my level is. I literally have to adventure and hope I havent stumbled into an area 10-20 levels higher than my best mon.

It certainly turned my blind Nuzlocke attempt into a normal run because I had ended up wiping out twice before even getting within spitting distance of the academy. Once was due to Nemona showing off the central power gimmick and cleaning out my team the next time was a courier with mon 4 levels higher than all of my team on the route to the gym.

They still use the full-party exp. share that they've been doing since Sun and Moon; but unlike Sun and Moon you can't turn it off anymore. so if you want to level up a specific mon, you need to remove all other pokemon from your party to do so. making levelling up and maintaining team balance and not going over the training level cap very frustrating and very grindy.

I think if I ever wanna replay the game and do a proper Nuzlocke run; I will wait several months and once all the info/data has been mined from the game, do research so I'm not blind-sided by an OP trainer and lose the run before finishing the tutorial cutscene segments.

While I was building, this guy visited. The first time a trader landed nearby!

And there he goes! Good luck buddy!

After that, I did some knowledge hunting, and found this buried tech.

After finding another relay station, I found this cozy little shop here. I gave this guy some metal and he was disappointed, then never wanted to talk to me again. He had a multitool here that I couldn't afford.

Then lucky me, I found a ton of these plants here for over 1k sodium. Delicious!

Here are some vortex cubes I found, along with some new life. About this time I thought it was time to go back home and save.

...and on the way there, another two ships picked a fight with me. My escape maneuvers didn't work this time so I had to defend myself and act fast on it. No time to negotiate. Not too shabby!

I always say this but non chileans fans of Pedro really dont give a fuck when he posts or shares chilean related things like right now we have MASSIVE wildfires going on. 100+ people lost their lives in Viña, Quilpué and more and that list is only going to grow because there is so much devastation that we have no enough resources to retrieve the corpses. This is the most deadly dissaster in our country since the 2010 earthquake in Constitución.

Lots of people lost their homes, loved ones, sources of income. In Viña we had a 100+ years old massive garden, home to lot of native species of flora and wildlife and it was totally destroyed by the fire.

And i guess this hits specially for Pedro since almost everytime he comes to Chile, he stays in Cachagua which as Viña is located in Región de Valparaíso.

We need all the help possible and if you care about the man, at least you can donate or share the links he posted.

No Man's Sky 3/5/23 part 1

Here's a collection of screenshots documenting my first playthrough of NMS. Today, I got into a lot of scraps and did a little much needed organization of my base. No story progression today. More screenshots below the cut!

Civilization on this planet! At last!

OH GOD WHY

So I flew closer to my base as an escape and took on the one pirate that followed me. This was my first fire fight in the sky and I got out without much trouble.

Meanwhile, mining tool upgrade.

This is just where my ship spawns now. This is fine.

Meanwhile, time to mine for gold...

And build this solar panel for some better energy efficiency at my first base.

I added some stairs too, but I didn't take a photo.
