Guys, new idea dropped! What if Rain Code characters played Splatoon? Not gonna do everyone this time, only a few (the MDA + most Peacekeepers and Makoto)
So, what weapon I think they would use :
Yakou : Ah shooter, because it's a classic, and I think Yakou would be into classics. Now, especially the Splattershot, because it's pretty balanced, the sticky bomb is nice, and I can see him being happy and shooting something like "Hell yeah!" everytime his trizooka is ready and he uses it
Halara : A charger because of the way they aim pretty damn well with their coin. And especially the Bamboozler 14 Mk I, because it's fucking overpowered?? The charge speed is fire, the range is great and mobility is great too! Given how fast Halara is in Rain Code, I don't think they'd like to have slow chargers with bad mobility. Now, you'll tell me "Oh but what about the Bamboozler Mk II?" well... I honestly the autobomb and killer wail of Mk1 would please Halara more because the autobomb is kinda sneaky, and the killer wail is almost unescapable, just like Halara themselves. Although I think Halara's favourite special would be the tenta missiles. Buuut, can't have everything, you know? Ok, worse case scenario, Halara would take the Goo Tuber instead of Bamboozler 14 Mk1
Yuma : A Brush because of the solution blade (why not a splatana? You'll see). At first I was hesitating between the Painbrush and Octobrush Nouveau... But I think the Painbrush's handling is too crap. As for why an Octobrush... I just think they are better than the Inkbrushes. Because they have slightly better range for only slightly worse handling and ink speed. Soo... As for why the Octobrush Nouveau precisely... I don't know how to explain it, but I feel like the special and the sub are better for Yuma? Like, I think it would suit his playstyle better? Idk how to explain it
Desuhiko : A Roller... I don't know. It screams Desuhiko to me. But not a Dynamo Roller, because they have the worse Ink Speed and handling, and I feel like Desuhiko playstyle is just random. The man just wants to have fun. But it's not fun if your weapon is slow as duck. I think he'd have a Carbon Roller Deco, because I feel that's the one which would offer the must fun thanks to the sub and special
Vivia : I have no real idea... Maybe a Slosher or a Brella? More likely a Brella? I don't know
Fubuki : A Blaster. Because she's an adventurer and all, but everyone would think she'd take something cuter or something, but turns out she likes big weapons which goes BOOM. (Maybe dualies or stringers as a second choice though). Now... Which one? I have no idea. So I'll just say which one I think she could like, and why : S-BLAST '91, it's pretty, the burst bombs are fun and it's great to have all the team cheering with you for the Booyah Bomb. Luna Blaster, it's cute and the Zipcaster makes her feel like a super-hero and she likes that. Same idea for the Luna Blaster Neo, the Ultra Stamp is very fun. And maybe the S-BLAST '92 because I feel like she would be amazed by the sprinkler and the reefslider?
Seth : I have no explanation. When I think about Seth, I think about a Slosher. Especially a Blobber. And I think like he would love the Blobber Deco over the regular Blobber, because KRAKEN ROYALE!! I think Seth would love the Kraken Royale. And, somehow, the Angle Shooter makes sense for him I think? Like, knowing where his opponents are would be in character for him I think?
Martina : The Brella, of c- WRONG! Give my lady a fucking charger! I think she would like a Snipewriter, because it has a great range and a very decent Mobility. However, I can't chose between the Snipewriter 5H, or the Snipewriter 5B... Or wait... Maybe a Stringer? But I see her with a charger more than a stringer... Hmm
Yomi : Was hesitating between a Blaster or a Splatling... But since I already gave Fubuki a Blaster, let's say I give the Splatling to Yomi. SO, I was hesitating between... Well, most of them actually, but I think I'll go with the Mini Splatling, because it has an Ultra Stamp, and I'm sure Yomi would love to literally crush his enemies to death. So yeah.
Guillaume : Dark Tetra Dualies (because those are literally the best weapons, I don't want to hear anything else)... No but really, the range is pretty neat, the mobility is awesome, and the damage... You can compensate if you manage to corner/surprise the enemy. + I think she'd like to have the autobombs because they are kinda sneaky, and of course she would like the reefslide! I mean, just look at her!
Aide : I don't know why, but a Shooter. And I feel like the .52 Gal would be best for him. I wanted one with great damage and good fire rate... None was good enough. It was either great damage but shit fire rate, or balanced range-damage-fire rate. And I didn't want that. I hesitated with the .96 Gals, but the fire rate was a bit lower than the .52. So 52 it is! As for which one... The regular .52 Gal. Because it has the killer wail and once again, the killer wail is hard to escape, so...
Makoto : Splatana... Because Makoto had to have a similar yet different weapon from Yuma + I feel like it suits him better than a brush. Now, I think he would have a Wiper because it has a better handling than the other splatanas, and I think Makoto woul prefer a good handling over the other stats. And I feel like the regular Splatana Wiper would suit him better than the Wiper Deco, because... Look at me and dare say to me that the Ultra Stamp isn't the most Makoto thing? Plus I feel like he would find the Torpedo more useful than the Squid Beakon (although squid beakon could symbolise him only counting on himself etc etc)... Either way, a splatana wiper (regular one first I think)

this sh2 remake has me seething in like 30 different ways its amazing. it's like truly amazing how the models look worse, the voice acting is worse, literally every aspect is ass but one of the small things thats pissing me off the worst is how james aims his gun like he's in fucking resident evil. like this is a small town white dude who worked in a boring job no way he's fucking aiming his pistol like he's part of the secret service. it's just one small thing that showcases how blobber were more focused on making a game that emulates popular horror games rn like resident evil without paying attention to what made sh2 good in the first place and how RE is different from it. sorry to blow up your inbox i was just also frothing with rage and glad to know someone else also hates the remake
th combat pisses me off cause first off why are we now getting quick reload gunswapping loud noise shooter action and why did they add in The Stomp at the last second like its a "teehee look guys remember the stomp mechanic!!!" AND ALSO PUT ANY EMPHASIS ON THE ACTION. silent hill is a game where you can literally just run away or not engage with enemies but this emphasis makes it feel like were no longer getting that and Every Interaction with an enemy is going to need to be a combative mode wnd not "let me sidestep this enemy qnd bolt down the hall"
also its crazy that booby team is painfully trying to emulate the resident evil style when in the Behind The Scenes foe SH2 with team silent they openly admit to not wanting silent hill to be like resident evil and they go on a prolongued talk about the Ways They Make Silent Hill 2 Different From Resident Evil from the comabt to having more goddamn footstep noises. AND NOW ITS JUST RE AGAIN

thoughts on silent hill 2 remake
Not my thing, but not the worst remake I have seen. Only real problem I have is the Maria redesign missing the point of her character and the over the shoulder camera instead. I am still cautious regarding stuff, but the story trailer was nice. I don't trust Blobber Team in general even without the remake as they have a history of fucking up stories with serious topics (mental illness, abuse, etc). Plus the Layers of Fear baby being so infamously hilarious they had to remove it in the redone vers.
Anything else I can say is really just me having nostalgia googles or preferring older games usually.

All random weapons always scares me. Wasn't too bad this time round. The round we lost consisted of hydra, H3, painbrush and wiper so I feel like I can accept that. There seemed to be a bias towards mini splatling (yay) and blob-blobber (boo). I thought the 3x blob + flingza would be the meanest weapon set but then I ended up on 3x charger + heavy edit on high tide which def wins the meanest award. It didn't feel that hard though, so kudos to my team 😁
I still have no idea how to use the Grizzco Splatana...

Blockchain Updates:
Last week, the blockchain team mainly focused on closing issues and reviewing code for DEX repos. The core issue was to add a new endpoint in 0chain to get the min lock demand for updating an allocation and add an API in the gosdk repo to expose it to wasm. In the same PR, the team also located and fixed a few min lock demand related issues in the event db (the allocation min lock demand was not saved) and different ways to calculate the demand.
Meanwhile, the team discussed the implementation of round-based challenges, as detailed in issue https://github.com/0chain/0chain/issues/2399. Currently, the challenge is timestamp-based; however, as time moved forward, it made it impossible to rollback the network when needed. By adopting a round-based approach, the timestamp is no longer a problem, and the team can expire the challenge based on the network’s current round. So basically, whether the challenge is expired is determined by how far the current round is ahead of the round when the challenge was created. For example, if the challenge expiry is 100 rounds, then when the current round is 100 ahead of the challenge, it is marked as expired.
Code Review
In addition to the issues mentioned above, the team also spent days doing code review for all DEX solidity contracts, subgraph node services, and authorizers repo. This was critical for the sake of security. Still, it is worth mentioning that most of the recent changes have been positive and well-received by the Züs team.
The Züsteam also spent some time doing research about the Bluetooth protocol and figured out the outdated origin bleno package. They decided to use the forked one from https://github.com/abandonware/bleno to do the Bluetooth support for the zauth app.
Furthermore, the team merged 9 PRs in 0chain, 14 PRs in gosdk, and 12 PRs in blobbers. The following are the main ones:

PR #2596: Updated settings of validator and blobber with new models.
PR #2621: Added check before converting int64 to uint64.
PR #2626: Emitted update event for used field for blobbers when allocation was canceled.
PR #1101: Do not send read markers for free reads.
PR #1077: Added multi-op fix.
PR #1097: Fixed encryption in multi-operation.
PR #1104: Took sharder consensus from wallet config.
PR #1110: Fixed file options.
PR #1103: Exposed balance get function.
PR #1107: Added getUpdateAllocationMinLock to wasm.
PR #1111: Accepted absolute path when downloading.
PR #1117: Fixed wasm downloading.
PR #1166: Do not redeem read markers for free reads.
PR #1160: Used a single file to avoid maintaining multiple versions of the same file.
PR #1173: Fixed download quota locks.
PR #1162: Fixed rm and wm timestamp.
PR #1161: Removed private key logging.
PR #1174: Fixed concurrent upload issue.
The Active Set is Gearing up!
Overall, the blockchain team made significant progress in resolving issues, enhancing security, and merging various pull requests across different repositories. We are tremendously excited for the future of cloud storage and its potential to create passive incomes for users. This is a major milestone in our journey to offer more services that are designed with the user’s benefit in mind. don’t mind me just casually being emotional over the thought of Matty (and Brady) possibly making the US Olympic team <3 <3 <3 it’s just so SO cool to hear how his greatest memories include following his dad around at those different events and to now be there again but as a player is so full circle god I don’t know how Chantel can handle seeing them all grown up
okay nonnie let’s all be emotional about it because that really is the coolest thing. like the two of them get to experience both sides of the coin and i know that they’re probably just as excited to get to experience it as players and are probs looking forward to their own kids getting that experience someday like they did (maybe not now bc they’re both pretty young)
pls i don’t know how she can handle it either like ma’am i would be a blobbering mess 😭 while also simultaneously asking my husband to give me another baby 🥴😂 all i know is those two are probably so freaking proud of their kids bc look how accomplished they all are!! plus they all seem to be super respectful and well-rounded indivuals.
