i think the thing i'm most disappointed about with riordanverse fandom now versus like 2014 is not only has the fandom not gotten any less racist or queerphobic or ableist (in fact in some regards its gotten worse!) but now it's just boring too. like there's no fandom infrastructure anymore - the community these days is almost entirely source material-driven - and you deviate from canon even slightly people get weird about it. whatever happened to the post-HoO fanon boom. the fandom needs to get weirder again. and self-sufficient. and less offensive.

I literally love rotumbeast sm, but it was really funny. I didn't realize it was you at first, but I loved interacting with them.

I think a lot of the initial in character reactions to the Rotumbeast just being "what the fuck is that get it away from me" like it's some kind of strange bug was perfect and I'm so proud

I know Batman is more gruff and distant than most superheroes but how the hell does someone who's been on so many teams and with so many protogees get people to call him a loner with a straight face

That's just Gotham for you, man. People there are "built different" and want the whole world to know it.

Less than an hour's drive from Metropolis, like 40 minutes by ferry. Within spitting distance of neighborhoods like Bristol and Burnside. You can see Bludhaven down the coast without a damn telescope and yet THESE people want to make you believe that they live in modern day Sodom and Gomorrah.

Let me tell you my friends, my brother does a lot of his work in Hub City these days and once you work in a community like that the idea that Gotham is some sort of skid mark on the universe that produces uniquely badass people will make you roll your eyes like a bowling ball in a hurricane.
