i was gonna just put this on my issue 13 blogging but it got too long so im gonna separate it lol

he looks like genuinely upset at the idea of eggman not staying as mr tinker which like I GET THAT that prospect must REALLY suck to sonic. like on one hand i think sonic would have a really hard time if eggman permanently retired there are other villains but none of those are eggman none of those are as constant and familiar i'd think. but on other hand i think sonic in the moment he realized what was happening with mr tinker, i wouldn't be surprised if sonic really thought to himself 'maybe this is for the best'.

i mean you have a guy who doesn't want to kill. a hero who almost has a batman-like moral code with how he handles villains, i mean we have seen sonic get VISUALLY upset if he thinks one of his adversaries has died or anything like that. especially if he couldn't save them. and eggman is someone who, sure is a villain and a polluting jerk, but has also been a part of sonic's life since he was a kid (there is a lot more to be said here on what you hc on robotnik vs eggman and the other continuities of the series but like IGNORING ALL THAT FOR JUST A SECOND) he probably realized that eggman losing all his memories (also, mind you, his memories of sonic and all the years they've gone back and forth, both in a "all the ways he's hurt sonic" AND "all they've been through together" way) is still better than whatever that alternative might be.

eggman is a villain and a dangerous one at that. and this is after forces a game where things were probably the most dire and higher stakes than most games. if it wasn't for the successful rescue there was a chance sonic could have died on the death egg. the world would have been under eggman's control forever. they had to make an organized resentence to try and fight against the egg empire but even then that was not working. not till the player character and the two sonics showed up at least. i think there are flaws in the forces writing but i dont think it's too far to assume that we are to believe this is a huge extreme compared to most other eggman schemes as the players

eggman forgetting everything and "retiring" to be mr tinker is probably the best outcome for the guy. eggman could actually live a happy and normal life. he could build a whole new life than what he had been as dr eggman. the world and all the people on it would be safe (from eggman at least) and as much as sonic would definitely have conflicted feelings of it all, i think he'd realize that. i think part of accepting mr tinker was both accepting that eggman wasn't fucking with them and that it would be okay to leave him there but also accepting that sonic himself would be okay leaving him there

i know this is a lot to get off one expression on one panel but idk man i think its fucked up that sonic probably went through a lot of mental debating and conflicted emotions and still did what was right only for tinker to revert back to eggman and all of it be for literally nothing

So sorry we haven't communicated recently on the Ring of Belief (2D version) riddles. I also haven't been as active as I'd like.

For the next riddle we need to unscramble a word:

Our character's quest is to find the true bloom of EBYTUA. (rearrange the letters in the correct order)

I also unfortunately should say, back in the fall we wanted fo have another interview with this artist but he declined after the holidays due to poor experiences on the Tinker Bell project. So unfortunately, we do not have further details on Tinker Bell and Fawn's character quest. We'll try and share more pictures if he is willing to share with us, as he mentioned he is okay with that. But, he says that he is no longer comfortable speaking about the early Tinker Bell project. We will also share some more pictures not related to the quest.

I also wanted to mention that I will be reorganizing the blog very soon so stuff will be easier to find!
