#scopriamonapoli con un'altra fontana: la fontana del Gigante 🧜‍♀️

E' nella curva tra la fine di via Partenope e l'inizio di via Nazario Sauro. Fù voluta dal Duca d'Alba, il vicerè don Antonio Alvares de Toledo che la commissionò a Pietro Bernini e Michelangelo Naccherino. La fontana è composta da tre archi sorretti da quattro pilastri, con una vasca circolare sorretta da due animali marini e nei laterali due divinità fluviali sorreggono dei mostri marini. Alle estremità laterali si ergono due cariatidi che reggono una cornucopia.

Nonostante la denominazione, in realtà non ha nulla a che fare con un colosso, se non per il fatto che fu realizzata per essere destinata a uno spazio in cui era stato collocato un enorme busto di Giove (sulla salita del Gigante, ora via Cesario Console). Come altre molte opere napoletane, anche questa ha subìto vari trasferimenti. Nel 1815 fu spostata nei pressi del molo e venne denominata dell'Immacolatella, poi al Carmine e a San Pasquale a Chiaia, per poi arrivare nei primi anni del 1900 nel luogo attuale.

O istnieniu Chengde dowiedzieliśmy się od pewnego Włocha w Kolei Transsyberyjskiej. Miasto słynie z ogromnej świątyni Putuo Zongcheng, która jest wzorowana na Potala Palace w Tybecie. W środku robi całkiem fajne wrażenie, ale nie ma co się oszukiwać, z zewnątrz, zwłaszcza z większej odległości to prawdziwa petarda! Turystów tutaj nie było dużo, ale pomimo tego co chwile ktoś wchodził nam w kadr. To zdjęcie jest dla nas osobistym zwycięstwem! 😉 Macie podobne małe zwycięstwa? 🤓 . About Chengde we heard from some Italian Guy in Trans-Siberian Railway. The city is famous becouse of huge Putuo Zongcheng Temple. It looks similar to Potala Palace in Tibet. Interiors are really nice, but the view from outside looks amazing!
