Anime i’ve Watched

That begin with a A (Part 2)!

Yep this is how i’m going to bring over all the anime and manga i’ve watched and posted about on the old blog. It’s not so detailed but it will have to do. Anything new I watch or read from this point on will have their own posts.

Angel Beats!:

Genres: action, comedy, drama, school, supernatural

Synopsis:  Otonashi awakens only to learn he is dead. A rifle-toting girl named Yuri explains that they are in the afterlife, and Otonashi realizes the only thing he can remember about himself is his name. Yuri tells him that she leads the Shinda Sekai Sensen (Afterlife Battlefront) and wages war against a girl named Tenshi. Unable to believe Yuri's claims that Tenshi is evil, Otonashi attempts to speak with her, but the encounter doesn't go as he intended. Otonashi decides to join the SSS and battle Tenshi, but he finds himself oddly drawn to her. While trying to regain his memories and understand Tenshi, he gradually unravels the mysteries of the afterlife. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

My Rating: 10/10

Finished airing in 2010 with a total of 13 episodes. 

My Thoughts: A masterpiece and a classic. Now that I think about this one probably deserves a rewatch! Tragic and beautiful with one hell of an opening theme. This one really takes you for journey in 13 short episodes and it’s not one that you’ll soon forget.

Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai! (Please Take my Brother Away):

Genres: comedy, school, slice of life

Synopsis: Shi Miao simply cannot stand her lazy, stupid, and unreliable elder brother Shi Fen, who is one year above her at the same high school. Though the two siblings can only depend on each other, Shi Miao's violent tendencies combined with Shi Fen's knack for causing trouble cause them to fight constantly. And so, Shi Miao can only hope that someone might take her brother away—even though, when push comes to shove, Shi Fen always tries to do what he believes is best for his cute younger sister. My Rating: 9/10

Finished airing in 2017 with a total of 12, 3 minute episodes. 

My Thoughts: Three minute episodes of pure comedic bliss. A short and light anime that’s perfect if you’re looking for a bit of a pick me up series but don’t have a ton of time. Highly recommend. 

Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai! 2 (Please Take My Brother Away 2):

Genres: comedy, school, slice of life

Synopsis:  As always, Shi Miao is tired of her brother's ridiculous antics, and Shi Fen can only hope to escape the clutches of his violent sister. With their friends and classmates in tow, the two continue their dysfunctional relationship as reluctant but devoted siblings. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

My Rating: 9/10

Finished airing in 2018 with a total of 24, 3 minute episodes. 

My Thoughts: The hilarity continues, this time with a 24 episode run! A must watch for fans of the first season. 

Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist):

Genres: action, demons, fantasy, shounen, supernatural

Synopsis:  Humans and demons are two sides of the same coin, as are Assiah and Gehenna, their respective worlds. The only way to travel between the realms is by the means of possession, like in ghost stories. However, Satan, the ruler of Gehenna, cannot find a suitable host to possess and therefore, remains imprisoned in his world. In a desperate attempt to conquer Assiah, he sends his son instead, intending for him to eventually grow into a vessel capable of possession by the demon king. Ao no Exorcist follows Rin Okumura who appears to be an ordinary, somewhat troublesome teenager—that is until one day he is ambushed by demons. His world turns upside down when he discovers that he is in fact the very son of Satan and that his demon father wishes for him to return so they can conquer Assiah together. Not wanting to join the king of Gehenna, Rin decides to begin training to become an exorcist so that he can fight to defend Assiah alongside his brother Yukio. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

My Rating: 7/10

Finished airing in 2011 with a total of 25 episodes. 

My Thoughts: Great look in terms of art/ animation/ character design. Great setting and premise but overall the series fell a bit short, in large part (my opinion only) because of the anime original ending. An ending that WAS ignored when they released a second season years later. I’d recommend this series for the simple fact that watching it would enable you to watch the second season which was much, much better! Pretty good opening theme though. 

Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga):

Genres: action, demons, supernatural, fantasy, shounen

Synopsis: The ExWire of True Cross Academy are beset with shock and fear in the aftermath of discovering that one of their own classmates, Rin Okumura, is the son of Satan. But for the moment, they have more pressing concerns than that of Rin's parentage: the left eye of the Impure King, a powerful demon, has been stolen from the academy's Deep Keep. After an attempt is made to steal the right eye in Kyoto as well, Rin and the other ExWires are sent to investigate the mystery behind the Impure King and the ultimate goal of the thief. While this mission has them cooperating for the time being, Rin has never felt more distant from his fellow exorcists. In his attempt to reconcile with them, he undergoes specialized training to control his dark power. However, when the right eye is stolen not long after their arrival, the unthinkable threat of a traitor amongst them leaves them in need of all the power they can get. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

My Rating: 9/10

Finished airing in 2017 with a total of 12 episodes. 

My Thoughts: Took years and a less than stellar anime original ending in the first season to get here but finally a second season came! Great art, music and story. An odd case where the second season is far better than the first and truly makes up for its predecessors missteps. If you decide to give this series a try be aware that what you’re really coming for is this gem of a second season and not the first! 

Aoharu x Kikanjuu:

Genres: action, comedy, sports, shounen

Synopsis: Hotaru Tachibana has a strong sense of justice and just cannot help confronting those who choose to perform malicious acts. Furthermore, Hotaru is actually a girl who likes to disguise herself as a boy. After hearing rumors that her best friend was tricked by the popular host of a local club, Hotaru seeks to punish the evildoer. Upon arriving at the club, however, she is challenged to a so-called "survival game" by the host Masamune Matsuoka, where the first person hit by the bullet of a toy gun will lose. After a destructive fight which results in Hotaru's loss, Masamune forces the young "boy" to join his survival game team named Toy Gun Gun, in order to repay the cost of the damages that "he" has caused inside the club. Although she is initially unhappy with this turn of events, Hotaru quickly begins to enjoy what survival games have to offer and is determined to pay off her debt, much to the dismay of Tooru Yukimura, the other member of Toy Gun Gun. As time goes on, Hotaru begins to develop a close friendship with the rest of the team and hopes to take part in realizing their dream of winning the Top Combat Game (TCG), a tournament to decide the best survival game team in Japan. Although Hotaru tries her best, there are just two little problems: she is absolutely terrible at the game, and Toy Gun Gun doesn't allow female members on their team! [Written by MAL Rewrite]

My Thoughts: I freaking loved this anime when it came out... though I doubt i’d be quite as generous with the score now. Good chance I was distracted by the cute glasses wearing male character which would have heavily impacted my score. A strong female lead masquerading as a male, attractive male leads (both with glasses and not) and some killer theme music. Even if I wouldn’t rate it quite as highly now i’d still argue that it was a pretty decent anime. No where near perfect but a bit of fun.

Happy Birthday Hiroshi Kamiya

Happy birthday to my birthday buddy Hiroshi Kamiya! Technically, our birthdays are both on the 28th, but technically, mine would’ve been the 29th in Japan... oh well, we’re still birthday buddies. While I’m not a huge fan of his singing, I have huge respect for him as an actor. He’s a talented old man who turns 44 this year! Seriously, wow. 44. I might’ve thought he was 54 because of how he looks, but that’s beside the point.

Yuzuru Otonashi - Angel Beats

I can hear the darn music through this gif. Here’s the SPOILER SCENE.

Honestly, this anime was so well-acted in both the sub and dub, but the sub will forever have a place in my heart. Not that I have one, this anime didn’t even make me cry.

Tsurugi Kamiya - Servamp

Natsume - Natsume Yuujinchou

One of the few shoujo anime to not revolve around romance. I’ve only finished one season, but it’s quite an underrated masterpiece.

Mephisto Pheles - Blue Exorcist

Kou Ichinomiya - Arakawa Under the Bridge

This anime is so weird (as expected from Studio Shaft), romantic, and bizarre. It’s about a business man saved by a girl from Venus. She introduces him to his new home after ordering him to be her boyfriend. He meets a kappa, a literal star, and others.

Koyomi Araragi - Monogatari Series

You know, the plain guy who somehow managed to get a whole harem. Another weird one from Studio Shaft.

Nozomu Itoshiki - Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Zess - Break Blade

Hiroomi Souma - Wagnaria (Working!!)

I watched one episode that ended with a headache because that was too many introductions at once.

Ranpo Edogawa - Bungou Stray Dogs

The understated, overpowered, and lazy genius that really should get more plot development and screen time than he does currently.

Kiyoshi Fujino - Prison School

It was so hard to find a PG clip of this anime. I wouldn’t recommend it for actual plot because the plot is has is more of *ahem* plot.

Izaya Orihara - Durarara

Why does anyone like him again? It’s like when people like Yuno from Mirai Nikki.

Shinji Matou - Fate

My “WIPs”

Oh my goodness. I had stuffed saved in all different places. I’ll start with the folders that contained fics that are incomplete. Welp, here I go!

Great Galactic War - this folder is the dump for my Haikyuu space/war AU, one of three or four fics I may focus on writing in the near future (first chapter is already published); the folder has very little atm, but I have about two dozen different scenes on my phone that aren't saved on PC

Kenma Project - the dump for my actively ongoing Haikyuu next gen captain war AU. I have a file in here further titled Ennoshita chapter. I wonder what that’s about? ;)

Three Kings - the dump for my Haikyuu samurai AU starring Hinata and Noya, the second possible fic I may commit to writing (first 2 chapters already published); there’s a chapter outline (which is dated because I’ve updated it in my head so much), and there are notes and many chapter tidbits on my phone too

Vice - the dump for a canonverse Haikyuu fic that was borne from a desire to write more Nekoma, so I subjected them to debilitating angst. There’s a rough chapter outline in here, and there are a couple of chapter drafts saved as emails on my phone. It’s the third fic that I might commit my time to (first 2 chapters, starring poor Inuoka, already published)

March of Justice - this folder was the dump for my aborted One Piece/My Hero Academia crossover, in which a couple of One Piece villains travel to the BnHA universe to conquer it

And here’s the rest I found. Some of these are just notes on fanciful ideas I had for a day and then never revisited. Others were never intended to see the light of day whatsoever

Abe dake ga Inai Machi - Oofuri-Erased - oh goodness. I had to stare at that title for a while to figure out what was wrong with it. An Oofuri/Big Windup fanfic that I didn’t play with for very long, but I was surprised to find I actually wrote the first chapter. Like Boku Dake ga Inai Machi (Erased), there’s a murder and then Abe finds himself transported back to the start of the Oofuri series, 10 months earlier. I reread some of this first chapter, and by my standards, it’s awful

Ace of Diamond - scandal fanfic - one of the ones never intended to see the light of day. It’s just notes. Basically Seidou pulls off its own Black Sox scandal and gets nailed, with some drama over whether Eijun is actually guilty

Ace of Iron / Ace of Swords - a Diamond no Ace samurai AU, mostly notes but also including drafts of a first chapter. It grew so huge there was no chance I could ever write it as a fanfic, so I actually converted it into an original story idea that I may do something with some day

Big Windup - cheating ploy disaster - this one is just notes and also never intended to see the light of day. An Oofuri idea in which Nishiura’s defeated rivals suspect them of cheating and kidnap the club boys to force them to confess. It goes even more downhill. (I’m very glad that, since discovering Haikyuu, I now conceive fanfics I actually want to write.)

Day of the Countercoup - I had to dig to find this one cos I knew it existed, but it wasn't a file. It was a tab in an Excel doc I used for my Haikyuu political AU, Coup d’Etat. It’s notes for an aborted sequel (Coup d’Etat’s original title was “Night of the Coup,” hence this contrasting title) that I scrapped soon after starting work on it. So glad too! Coup d’Etat got its due, and that AUverse shall be left to itself now

Haikyu - Gospel of Shouyou - oh goodness. I’m not gonna explain this one. Me experimenting, not intended to see the light of day

Haikyu - Nightmare from Heaven - this one may be the fourth candidate for continuation as a long-term fic but is currently unpublished. A war/occupation fic in which Miyagi Prefecture is conquered during a contemporary World War III, and the Karasuno boys must now live under foreign military occupation. The first chapter and part of the second were written, and I've got several notes on my phone and PC about subsequent chapters. Thank goodness tensions in that part of the world have simmered down since I devised it

Life Hereafter - Chapter 6.5 alternate ending - oh no. Life Hereafter is my darkest and most sensitive fic, published only on FFN, written to process a RL tragedy I was distantly affected by. I struggled with the ending of Chapter 6, which covered Tsukki and Yamaguchi’s coping with the canonverse tragedy. One draft (called “6.5″ in case I ever wanted to publish it, but I likely never will) featured Tsukki, seeking solace and desperately wanting to console Yamaguchi, giving in to poor judgment and kissing him. Only to then learn Yamaguchi doesn't have the same feelings back. Topping off their hurt with this was far too cruel and painful, and even before I started typing it, I knew I wouldn’t actually publish it. Rereading the draft even now made me feel uncomfortable which is why I kept it because it’s perhaps the best friendship-ruining moment I’ve ever written

Oofuri fanfic - Sakura Conspiracy - I thought I wrote a chapter 1 draft too, but this is an outline for a WWII Oofuri AU in which Nishiura, after winning Koshien in the late 20s or early 30s, moves on to military and political careers, one of their former teammates dies under suspicious circumstances, and Mihashi fears one of his old teammates may be responsible. The story stretches from 1937 to 1945

I'm actually surprised I found no notes on my Haikyuu mafia AU idea. I guess I never actually transcribed any, even though the plot is substantially complete in my head!

These four are all notes for gigantic crossovers:

Periods of World fanfic - This was an experiment, in which each century from 2000 BC to 2000 AD was listed out, a different part of the world selected for each century, and then a different anime or manga assigned to each part of the world. The idea was to write a chapter set in that century in that area starring those characters. The last chapter, for the new millennium, would have covered all parts of the world. The file is dated 2013. It never became more than this list

Periods of World fanfic 2 - and so it seems I tried again! This file is dated 2014 and shows just a teeny bit more dedication, with the 20th century further subdivided into decades, then every year from 2000-2009, and then every six months for 2010-2014. There are some different anime choices than the 2013 version. Never went anywhere with it, never gonna

Reborn epic crossover anime tribute layout - yes, that’s the literal filename. This is from my days as a Katekyo Hitman Reborn fan, and I don't even recognize most of the character names anymore. Apparently the villains of Reborn travel to seven other anime universes to kidnap major characters to sacrifice them as part of some weird magic scheme that I can’t properly decipher now

Random multi-anime WWII fanfic plan - yes, that’s also the literal filename. This is an outline for a 50-chapter crossover set before and during World War II, where the main characters of Naruto are Russian, One Piece are British, Bleach are French, Katekyo Hitman Reborn are German, Blue Exorcist are Italian, Fairy Tail are Japanese, and Ed and Al from FMA are American. The plot is emotionally devastating, doesn’t pull the punches on all sorts of WWII-related triggers, and frequently and cruelly denies catharsis.

To be perfectly honest though, rereading it, I swear this is the best story I have ever invented! It has a heartrending blend of tragedy, poignant poetic justice, subplot causality, and social commentary and contains few of the traps I sometimes fall into like cheap shock and subplots going nowhere. I really wish I could do something with this narrative now

And I’ll count the hefty handful of TV scripts I’ve written in an effort to practice and hone my scriptwriting skills. All but the last one of these are hypothetical new seasons of real anime:

Blue Exorcist s2 - 1 episode. My attempt to write the Impure King arc, years before they actually produced the Impure King arc. This was not my best work

Noragami: God’s Secret - 2 episodes for a manga-based Season 3. These were pretty decent imo

Oofuri/Big Windup: The Coming of Fall - 17 episodes. I got really into this one. A speculative season 3 assuming three cours (imo we probably won’t be blessed with that many episodes if season 3 comes), covering everything up until the end of the fall tournament. The first 13 episodes covered the story up to chapter 84 minus the Kasukabe match, followed by an OVA (ep 13.5), and then I was working on the Kasukabe match told in hindsight before planning to continue with the big game of the fall prelims. The third cour would have covered the fall tournament itself

Mekakucity Actors XX - 4 episodes. My own idea for a season 2/alternate ending. Because I was very conflicted with how the anime ended

School Babysitters - this was an original episode idea for Gakuen Babysitters that I enjoyed writing very much but turned out too long (40 pages) and features the babies turning into insects. I wouldn't mind publishing it somewhere actually!

Hey! What're your thoughts on Agents of SHIELD moving to Fridays at 9pm? I'm worried about the future of the show...

Hey, anon! So I apologise in advance if this gets really in depth, but I’m actually a television scheduler myself, so I’m really into how other channels put their schedule together and why they do it.

Anyway, without further ado! Here are my thoughts on the matter. Under the cut for length.

At first I was surprised about the move from a Tuesday to a Friday, and a little worried because I know Friday evenings are apparently where “shows go to end.”

However, this is exactly what everyone said about the Tuesdays at 10pm slot, right? And we survived that. As far as I’m aware, every single show prior to us being in that slot has gotten cancelled. But not us, we lived to tell the tale! *throws confetti* 

The fact that we’ve been moved makes total sense to me - on a Tuesday, the lead in to Agents of SHIELD was a comedy block (bolding because I still can’t believe this is a thing that actually happened). A comedy block of all things! That lead in didn’t suit Agents of SHIELD at all. Polar opposites in television programming. Just no. It’s annoyed me for years (I think you can tell by the way I’m writing this?)

The lead in shows that we did get (e.g. Imaginary Mary, now cancelled by ABC) weren’t that strong anyway.

I’ve been going on and on and on to my friends about Once Upon A Time being paired with Agents of SHIELD for years, so I like this move too - they blend well together, have similar-ish and loyal fanbases, and are both owned by the overall Disney brand. I like that ABC are trying to carve out a sci-fi/fantasy area in their weekday schedule, instead of just bunging SHIELD on the end of a comedy block.

Moving back to 9pm is also a great move. 10pm was far too late for Agents of SHIELD. (For all those worried about the shows “darker tones”, let’s be honest, the only thing that got darker between seasons 3 & 4 was the lighting. We’re good.)

For those worried about ABC’s Friday ratings: Last Man Standing averaged about 5-7 million on Fridays (8/7c), Dr. Ken averaged 4-5 million (8:30/7:30c), and Shark Tank 4-5 million (9/8c). All above SHIELD’s average of 2-3 million.

On Tuesday nights we were up against the likes of power shows such as Chicago Fire and NCIS: New Orleans. Chicago Fire typically gets 5-7 millions viewers, and NCIS: New Orleans typically gets around the 9-10 million mark. It was a very, very tough slot.

Moving into the Friday at 9pm slot we’re going to be up against The Exorcist (Fox, averages 1.5 million viewers) and Taken (NBC, averages 4-5 million). The only show that I’d be worried about is Blue Bloods. It currently airs in the Fridays at 10/9c slot and averages at around 10 million.

Re: Inhumans airing first and then switching in SHIELD. This makes total sense to me. And if I was lucky enough to plan the channel, I would’ve done exactly the same thing. Hopefully this’ll mean there’ll be less breaks in the season five run of SHIELD, which we know works better for the show and works better to retain audience. If this means AOS will be airing later in the year/in 2018 then I’m all for it.

Also, a lot of people are excited about Inhumans, and believe me when I say Disney, ABC, IMAX and Marvel will be marketing it like no tomorrow. New fans will be coming in to watch the series, hardcore fans, casual fans - and guess what will hopefully be promoted around Inhumans? Agents of SHIELD season five. 

I hope that settles some of your worries? I do have my trepidations about the move, but I’m quietly optimistic about it as well. I’m just so happy we have a full 22 episode season five - a year ago I thought we were going to be cancelled after season four for sure. The live ratings for Agents of SHIELD aren’t that great, and if we continued in the 10pm Tuesday slot I think it just would’ve gotten a whole lot worse, so maybe in the Friday slot we might actually stand a chance? The only advice I can give to you is to just enjoy it and try to stop worrying about the future of the show. Five seasons is amazing nowadays for a television series! I mean, we’re going to reach 100+ episodes, how exciting is that?!

Is Blue Exorcist any good? Idk it has demons and teens so it kinds of reminds me of Black butler and the plot seemed a bit cliched but you seem fond of it recently so maybe theres more to it?

:))))) And I’m really not kidding. 

I’m flattered to see that my tastes seem to be some kind of quality insurance to you in any case! xD Especially when I can enjoy series like Killing Stalking (dudes with issues killing people) but also like Amaama to Inazuma (daddy and daughter cooking and being happy) lmao! 

It’s funny you’d mention Kuro as a comparison by the way though, since I basically started the two manga at the same time (6 years ago or so) because I also thought that they were of a similar genre, while in fact  they evolved very differently. 

Seriously though, Kuro =/= Ao no Exorcist, even when it comes to the most basic aspect of the two stories, which is “demon”:

in Kuro, demon = actual scary beings made of darkness after human souls. More a link with occidental religions (like Christianity) imo.

in AnE, demon = “yokai”/Japanese folklore relating to demons and spirits as a very general way to describe them to someone who doesn’t read the series. You have cute ones, scary ones, strong ones, weak ones, etc. 

also Ciel (Kuroshitsuji) = human who sold his soul

while Rin (and Yukio, AnE) = actual sons of Satan, aka half-demons. 

Oooh and:

Kuroshitsuji -> you’ve heard of the theory with our!Ciel pretending to be his twin (not seen so far within 24 volumes)?

well in AnE, Rin has a living and very recognizable twin brother, who’s Yukio (and who is basically as angsty/angry as Ciel, which might be the only common point between the two series xD)

As for the plot being cliché… hm, well maybe initially it can sound like so depending on the summary you read, but from the moment Mephisto Pheles introduces himself (ch2/ep2), you know you’re in for a pretty interesting story and honestly AnE never disappointed me. xD Even the arc I liked the less so far never had me not following the monthly chapters.

So it’s really up to you Anon, but if you like Kuroshitsuji, I say try AnE. Maybe watch the first two episodes of s1? It will give you a good idea of what to expect and then, depending on if you like it or not…… well, I can explain to you how the two anime seasons work in regards to the canon story if you want to keep going. :)

Here are a few more reasons to start AnE if you’re interested:

a really diversified cast 

a lot of “omg wut” plot twists

almost all the characters introduced in the story get a specific role and a development arc

great pacing overall for the storytelling (no need to wait 5ever for the entire cast to know who Rin is even though it’s initiallyobviously a secret)

important dead characters get as much development as living characters thanks to flashbacks (which is not something I’ve seen often in other series)

no need for ship wars, romantic crushes between characters are made rather clear and don’t just remain background material, even if we don’t know yet how it’s going to end

also the art @Kato Kazue-sensei

Aaand that’s all I can think of right now :) 

Seriously though, it’s good and even currently better than Kuroshitsuji, since the chapters are released monthly but the pace is great, all the characters are getting a development, there is no plot convenience and we’re currently getting answers about the main plot (with ~90 chapters) so… A+ 15/10 would recommend! :D

The fireworks are so lifelike in this ep!

Daiku Shirabe…I found out about the story from an ANN article, so I should’ve seen its appearance coming…“Tamaya” is something you yell during fireworks displays. Apparently it was the name of a fireworks company somewhere along the line.

The flattening refers to how Yota had to bow for forgiveness, but I think I kinda explained that already.

“Shinuchissei”…Yota seems to slur the end of his sentences.

I actually went “WHAT?!” at Yota not being fazed by the big daddy boss.

Note for later: The baby (I heard his name was Shinnosuke) was born November 23rd.

The jazz soundtrack really sells this show.

...so this is the rant from Daiku Shirabe. It’s fast (compared to even the usual), but it has lots of heart. Plus the showcasing of the tattoo really did its significance justice.

One of the things that makes this show stand out is the space-styled episode titles.

I am familiar with this source material, so do be aware of that. However, I didn’t finish the anime the first time around, so do be aware of that too.

Sometimes the art style for this anime can be a little off. The noses can be a little too pointy and too close to the eyes, so on and so forth.Allen doesn’t even look like he’s blushing with this art style too…that’s a bit of a disappointment.

Even the golems have it in for each other…LOL.

There are some nuances lost in translation, like yappari and the levels of formality…but those are typically lost.

This “lecture” is probably the highest point you can get in the show (so far). It’s times like this you can really see an author’s strengths in storytelling.

The piano really sells the Hishiro/Kaizaki meeting.

What a strange angle that “lean to the left” shot is.

I’ve found out swear words have a lot of leeway when it comes to levels of “oh no”. These swar words include yabai and temee. Due to the context of Wan! and the fact it was Chuuya who kept using them, I went with the nastier variants [in my scanlating days] but sometimes a non-swearing variant is enough. However, kirai (to dislike) is pretty nasty if you use it in Japanese.

Kaizaki’s delivery of these lines really sells their comedic effect. The electronic keyboard makes it sound like night, but also makes it sound 1) like night and 2) creepy, for some reason.

Freeter is almost as bad as NEET, Kaizaki.

There appears to be a 100 man (10 thousand) coin bank behind Yoake, which makes that...1000000 yen. (chorus in back: One million yen?!)

“Thanks for having us” probably isn’t the right words for it. Ojamashimasu means “sorry for intruding”, but it sounds heavily formal when translated, so I can see why the subbers did what they did though.

Instrument(s): I played piano profesionally for 10 years. I stopped after some time on highschool because I could no longer attend courses in my town. Language(s): Motherlanguage is czech, so is absolutely normal for me to understand slovak. I speak english, even thoughs I have C1 certificate, I’m nervous and can’t speak or write without shaking, sweating and making stupid mistakes. I learned german on middle and high school, but can’t say a shit practically anything in this freaking language. When someone ask me something in croatian, polish or russian, I mostly understand but I blame it on Slavic roots. Even thought what I wrote here (^8.) - I fall in love only one time in my whole life. It was 2 months after my 18. birthday. He was tall, black-haired cishet man, witty, inteligent, humourus, gently, ironic, sarcastic and beautiful human being. And he’s my boyfriend for 5 years now and we have awesome 1 year old daugher. 

I studied law and public administration in highschool and criminology on university. In Semptember this year (2019) I’ll start my master’s degree for public safety and 2 years long psychology practice. After this I’ll go to work and start my distance learning of psychology (A/N: 3 years for bachelor + 2 years for master + 4 years for doctor + 2 years of another practive - then exams and only AFTER ALL OF THIS you can become a psychiatrics with your own office! That’s why I wanted start studying this subject AFTER my police graduation).

I have emepthophobia - abnormal and very strong fear of throwing up. This is why I eat only things I know for long time (no raw meat, no sushi, no experimental cusaine); I don’t like eating at restaurants (I’m afraid that some guest can get nauseated and start throwing up); I don’t go to amusent parks and never was (and I'll never be!) on their attractions; I am abstinent (Don’t try to force, seriously); I don’t like to be around drunk people; I hate hospitals and doctors (even thought a deeply respect them, but try to get the tube into my mouth ONE MORE TIME AND WILL DESTROY ALL YOUR BLOODLINE) and I HATE films when they put throwing up like “comedic” aspect (mostly American comedies. That’s why I don’t watch them.). Actually, just writing it down makes me anxious because I imagine all the things I’m writing and it’s horrible... (I needed to stop writing, calm myself for like half a hour and even after this I didn’t wrote everything that I hate about this phobia).

I’m demisexual but still don’t see myself as a part of the LGBT+ comunity. Maybe because when I come out some friends of the comunity (namely gay, lesbian a trans female lesbian) they say that “demisexuality is nothing compare their fight for rights” and it’s “just another heterosexual made-up thing for which don’t want sex or want to judge others who love sex with no relationships including”. That’s why, when someone ask me why I support LGBT+ so much and have so many friends of them, I’m saying that I am a “Straight Ally”. Even though I know it’s not all the true (because I don’t identify myself like heterosexual at all), I just don’t fell I need to explain or “come out” like some others. I just live with it and I’m happy. To all demisexuals: Don’t ever think you are weird. You aren’t! You can fall in love. You can feel aroused. You can have fuctional relationship with no sex or sex including. You don’t need to have anyone to be happy. Just like have a family, child/children, husband/wife and be sometimes excited to be touched by your loved one(s). You can love or hate hugs. You can found someone attractive just INSIDE and be happy with it. Every demisexual it’s different. But still matters. Don’t ever think about to be ashemed by your sexuality. It’s your thing and NO ONE can’t say a shit about it.

Yeah, and I beat cancer when I was 17 by the way. And still not 100% healthy but living.
