ship asks… nix/col dobie, dick/talbert, and uhhh muck/malarkey?

Nix/Dobie: Makes sense, does compel me but mostly just through the Winnix dynamic it creates because I love a jealous petty pissed off Dick and a messy gay disaster Nix who is doing it mostly to get Dick’s attention and provoke some sort of negative emotion out of him to prove to him that Dick wants him and is upset by him being with someone else. But yeah just the one scene they have together with the few looks they gave each other and Dobie obviously flirting with Nix and Nix going along with it and Dick watching and silently seething and looking like he wants to snap someone’s neck…yeah. Definitely makes sense and is VERY compelling

Dick/Talbert: Makes sense, does compel me. Obviously in the show alone it might not make the most sense and seem random because they don’t have much screen time or dialogue with one another but knowing what we know about what their relationship was like irl it makes THE most sense. Talbert was clearly in love with Dick- the letters he wrote to him were INSANE and he HATED Speirs solely because he wasn’t Dick. Also Dick calling him his guardian angel?!? Like okay what the fuck was that all about. But what also compels me about Dick/Tab is the power dynamics and age gap. Like Dick is Tab’s superior and commanding officer and Tab takes orders from him and that’s super hot. It would be extra scandalous and taboo as well because of the disparity in rank between them. (Which Dick would normally be TOTALLY against and even went out of his way to and made it a point to never even befriend or hang out with the enlisted men but his one exception was Tab…so do with that information as you wish.) Also I can imagine Tab tending to Dick after battle/combat as his good and faithful soldier (“your devoted soldier forever”) and it kinda being a sex thing for them. So is the fact that Dick is several years older than him and Tab is this younger cute little twink. Like there’s for sure some daddy vibes/dynamics going on there and it’s hot asf. (I like Winteroe for all these same dynamics)

Muck/Malarkey: Kinda makes sense I guess? Cause they were besties always being cute together. But does not compel me, not a single bit 💀 Sorry to any Muck/Malarkey shippers out there but it does nothing for me. I do love Malarkey and Muck tho 🫶 and when Muck was killed and Malarkey was so upset and depressed it was absolutely heartbreaking 💔

I’m thinking you guys would meet in Aldbourne just a little while before D-Day (lets just pretend you’re from there and living out your cottagecore life there in England lol) Maybe you’re neighbors with the family he’s billeted with or maybe you guys meet in a bar, either way when he sees you walk past him he’s gotta go up to you and say something.

“Care to go out for a drink sometime, doll? I’d love to get to know you better” cue in his infamous smirk He’s going above and beyond just to impress you the first time you guys officially go on a date.

His favorite thing about you has to be your eyes. It’s his total weakness. If you really want him to do something, just flutter your eyes and he might just give you the world.

While he's in town, he’s going to try his hardest to still make time for dates and any and all romantic stuff, even if that means he's going to bed late and waking up extra early, it's worth it to him.

He also finds your interest in history super cool, (overall hers very supportive of all your interests and personal traits) like if you have any old gadgets or things like that he would love to take a look at them or use them.

During the war when he can’t see you anymore, trust that he’s going to be sending you billions of letters about almost everything, how his day is going, the things he and his men are doing, and most importantly, how much has been missing about you.

Speaking of letters I’m sure of it that he’ll be sending you tons of little trinkets he looted, thinking they would look good on you or that you would like it.

I think the only con of being with Bill is that he’s pretty possessive over you, if a guy even does so much as look at you, he’s ready to give that man a black eye. He’s definitely gotten into a couple bar fights over you (and would gladly do it again)

When he comes back home from the war he’s proposing to you IMMEDIATELY (if he hadn’t already done it through letters) He can’t wait to start his life with you.

though he saw John as an assh01e, he only hit him once in battle "thunderbolts vs sentry", while he made other super soldiers fly all over the room, colliding with his fists and walls;

John, without batting an eye, knocked the lights out of Bob’s abusive father with his taco shield;

when John hugged him, he immediately stopped punching into Void and gripped John’s hand;

he was genuinely flattered by John's compliment.

Yeah, I'm sure Bob f@сk1ng hates him.
