My oncology nurse called. She was over a half hour late. I was going to walk away from my phone. We talked about my symptoms. Some are a little worse. If some of them get even worse, I’ll have to go to Urgent Care. I might need to talk to my oncology pharmacist about my mouth sores with Ibrance. We went over my lab results. They’re really good, except for ast and alk phos. (They’re flagged as high.) She wants to continue monitoring that through the monthly blood tests. She really wants me to get a head MRI, since it’s been about a year. She’ll look into it more, because she’s worried about the metal plate and pins in my right shoulder. The last time I had a head MRI I had that metal in and was fine. I’ll get a CT scan and bone scan again. She’s surprised I didn’t get a bone scan with my last CT scan. She also said it’s been a long time. I brought up getting a double mastectomy, and she didn’t bat an eye. Her first question was: “When do you want it?” She agreed I should talk to the oncologist about it, but really only to see what I need to do to get it done. To her question of when, I guessed in July. She said we can do that. She said I’d need to have the scans done beforehand to make sure everything’s ok. I also told her about being agender. She seemed ok about it. I want them to have it as my cancer treatment, though. It’s one of the many reasons.

Acromioclavicular osteoarthritis: relieve the pain in your shoulder
Acromioclavicular osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that affects the joint where the clavicle meets the acromion (part of the shoulder blade). This wear and tear of the cartilage leads to inflammation and pain.
Tumblr media
What are the causes of acromioclavicular osteoarthritis?
There are many causes of acromioclavicular osteoarthritis:
- Ageing: The natural wear and tear of cartilage with age is a major risk factor.
- Repetitive strain injury: Sporting or professional activities involving the shoulder can accelerate wear and tear on the joint.
- Trauma: A fracture or dislocation of the shoulder can favour the onset of osteoarthritis.
- Genetic factors: A family predisposition may play a role.
What are the symptoms?
The symptoms of acromioclavicular osteoarthritis are as follows:
- Pain: Localised in the acromioclavicular joint, the pain may radiate to the neck or arm. It is often aggravated by shoulder movements.
- Stiffness: A limitation in the range of movement of the shoulder.
- Swelling: A small bump may appear in the joint.
    How is acromioclavicular osteoarthritis diagnosed?
The diagnosis is made by the doctor on the basis of :
- Clinical examination: The doctor looks for painful points and assesses the shoulder's range of movement.
- Imaging tests: An X-ray, MRI or bone scan can confirm the diagnosis and assess the extent of the lesions.
What treatments are available?
Treatment for acromioclavicular osteoarthritis depends on the severity of the symptoms and the patient's age. It may include:
- Medication: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
- Physiotherapy: Specific exercises to strengthen shoulder muscles and improve mobility.
- Infiltrations: Corticosteroid injections can provide temporary pain relief.
- Surgery: In the most serious cases, surgery may be considered to remove the damaged part of the joint.
How can acromioclavicular osteoarthritis be prevented?
It is not always possible to prevent osteoarthritis, but certain measures can help to slow its progression:
- Regular physical activity: Strengthening the shoulder muscles can help stabilise the joint.
- Maintain a healthy weight: Excess weight puts extra pressure on the joints.
- Adopt good posture: Poor posture can encourage the onset of pain.

an actual plot is forming in my head for my TF Enterprise we are so back boys (first things first is figuring out how to draw everyone in Star Trek 😭) but essentially after the Enterprise and co travelled through some sort of electric gaseous space cloud (id fucking know man) it wakes her back up from statis and she finds that not only is she infested with organic creatures but she’s also in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE
Tumblr media
In an attempt to remedy her situation, when they reach the next Star Base she had already preemptively made a false identity (Ena Preime) to work as an engineer so she can properly interact with the people she’s forced to house, she’s quick to take a liking to Scotty bc he’s so determined to keep her in good shape

Had my oncology appointment yesterday. They did have me do lab work before it. Everything was normal except my alk phos and platelet count were high. I looked online to see what that might mean, and it was a little scary. I know I shouldn’t look at that, but I was curious. Oncology had moved to a different area, so I was a little thrown off at first. This appointment was with someone I hadn’t met before. Dr. Nik apparently just left. The staff don’t even know what happened to him. I thought he was nice. This one seemed nice, too.
He said the alk phos can go up with the steroid I’m on and exercise. I’m guessing it’s the exercise, since nothing’s really changed with the steroid. I was tapering it and then I stopped. He said that I must have fought something off recently like a cold for my platelet count to be high. As far as I know, I haven’t been sick.
He actually showed me my CT scan and most recent full bone scan. They don’t usually do that. It was interesting that when he got to my sternum, in the CT scan, he told/showed me I have a met on it. I do remember them mentioning that a while ago, but you can clearly see it. The bone scan wasn’t very clear, but he still pointed out some of my other mets. He looked at my liver, and said it looks fine. No fatty liver disease. It must have disappeared.
He wants me to see them every 3 months. Getting the xgeva shot after each one. We didn’t get to it this time, because I didn’t schedule it. I’m nervous about getting it. I’m not sure how much my insurance will cover for it. Maybe medicaid will take care of it? It’s kind of important though. I don’t want broken bones. He said I should get scans every 6 months. He wants me to get a PET scan next time, as well. He said it’s more accurate for looking at the bones. I don’t think I’ve ever had one. I’ve heard about it. He wants me to do lab work every month. I asked him if I could do that. He agreed and said it’s also best to do since I’m on Ibrance. They have to monitor it that way.
I forgot to mention that I’ve been getting a lot of leg/hip cramps lately. Maybe my primary care doctor will help with that? I have an appointment with her in a couple of weeks. They made an appointment to get my xgeva shot just before it. I’ll talk with her about my pain and possibly getting a new hospital bed.
The bus rides to and from the appointment were interesting. Both drivers weren’t sure where the house was exactly. They couldn’t believe that it really is at the stop sign and there’s a street light right in front of it. The first one was somewhat on time. I was the only passenger on it, and she was nice enough to help me with the seatbelt. The one going back home was a couple minutes late. There was only one other person. It felt like I was gone all day, when it was just a few hours. Probably because it was light out when I left and dark on the way back.

Year of the OTP 25 - January (First Kiss)
basically came from the idea of "what if kissing is just the norm for velgearians and doesn't actually have much romantic nuance." even though they had their first kiss soooo long ago, what would their first "first kiss" kiss be like?

did your partner pick out that gif for you
Funny enough I wanted a gif of the judge's clueless blink but couldn't find it anywhere, so I asked my partner if they had it on standby since Ace Attorney is currently their thing, but they didn't. So they actually went and recorded and personally made a gif just for little old me.
Any amount of gay homo autism you assumed previously, triple it. That's me and them.

RAG & BONE
Aw09
Taking inspiration from medieval knights and Japanese samurai, wool and leather fencing jackets, ninja pants tied up at knees and ankles were among the styles proposed here. The brand's charac- teristic English style jackets and waistcoats were augmented by unique sharpness and color story derived from martial arts garb.
