Cryptid Danny is only just a kid fighting ghosts and ghouls who are smarter than him and has been doing this for far, far longer. Cryptid Danny goes out to search for an older, wiser cryptid to mentor him into becoming a better, stronger cryptid who can take care of his territory better (Amity Park) and also protect his family and friends.

Bruce, who has this kid show up on his front porch, and asks him to mentor him. Bruce is confused at first, trying to play it off and see just how much this kid knows, and the kid just goes "I know you're batman."

It's like the Tim situation all over again. Except, Bruce doesn't realize at first that this kid very much isn't human. And Danny doesn't realize that Bruce *is* human.

To be honest… Bruce isn’t what one would call a Normal Person. Being able to handle crazy toxins, his strength, intellect, just so many many things could cause Danny to think he isn’t human. Understandable mistake really.

What are dead man walking tornadoes? :O

it’s a multi-vortex tornado. i dont remember the tribe it originates from (i think it was cherokee), but there’s a native american legend…? saying? that goes “if you see a man in a tornado, you are about to die.”

the most infamous shot of a dead man walking tornado hit jarrell, texas in 1997

it did so much damage to the town it caused the scale that tornados are measured by, the fijita scale, undergo revisions, and it made anchoring buildings in the tornado alley region pretty much mandatory. (it took the entire town off the map. only those who had taken shelter outside of the town or in underground bunkers survived.)

and a tornado from 1975 that hit xenia, ohio

edit: it has been brought to my attention that the native american “legend” part of this post was a rumor spread by a documentary.

Hey! You might be really into DC lore but that’s a good thing! Introduce more of the DCU to Danny phantom characters. Make all the crossovers you can think of it allows the people like me who only know DC stuff through dpxdc crossover to look up stuff about the people to learn more. go buck wild with all the characters.

Oh you betcha man! My main goal for this blog was to post ideas out of the norm and to add more DC knowledge to the dpxdc fandom. It’s simply that Blue Devil is a decently low tier hero so even casual DC fans might not be aware of the guy so I’d have to explain more than I currently have the brainpower or energy to do so.

Found it! It’s DC's Legion of Bloom #1 - “We Just Have to Make it to Spring” (2023)!

To answer your question: it depends on the writer. But in the specific comic linked above, it does say that Clark gets a little weaker during the winter from the lower levels of sunlight. It’s also a very good comic that I’d highly recommend you to read as it’s done very well.

We can! Historical cozies are a little harder to come by than ones set in modern day, but reader's advisor Susan has some suggestions!

Susan says:

You should try Rhys Bowen. She has two series that would be good; The Molly Murphy series and The Royal Spyness series. Start with Murphy's Law and Her Royal Spyness, respectively

Victoria Thompson writes the Gaslight Mysteries series about a detective midwife set about 1900 in New York City. Start with Murder on Astor Place.

Stephanie Barron has a series with Jane Austen as the detective. Start with Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor.

The Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear might work for you, too. It is set in 1929. Book one is just called Maisie Dobbs.

You might try Mary Roberts Rhinehart. She was often called the American Agatha Christie, so if Agatha Christie is a winner for you then definitely give Rhinehart a try.

And finally, take a look at The Cadfael Chronicles about a mystery-solving monk from 12th-centruy England. If you like them, you're in luck: there are a lot. These were written by Ellis Peters (pen name of linguist Edith Pargeter). Start with A Morbid Taste for Bones.

So we all like to make it that Danny hates clowns. After the Freakshow thing and the circus related trauma, it just makes sense. But what if he didn’t?

what if, in an effort to overcome his trauma related to the circus, he decided to learn more about them. Obviously not every circus is like Circus Gothica, so maybe learning about them would help him get not associate his trauma with normal circus things.

and it works

It more than works, he actually gets super into it. He loves learning about the history and the various acts. He even gets really into clowns, the different types, the different acts, the famous clowns, and the rules around being a clown. He even applied for clown college but didn’t get in. It’s surprisingly prestigious. He even managed to meet a few of the great clowns of the past in the GZ and really learned a lot from them.

Then he moves to Gotham

He loves clowns, but he hates the Joker. He hates the Joker because he loves clowns, and the Joker is actually a really shitty clown. Danny has a love of the craft and the Joker is just bad at clowning.

So, Danny takes it upon himself to mess with the Joker the best way possible.

By stopping him while being a better clown than the joker could ever hope to be with or without his ghost powers

If I may ask you who is better for Alexander? Is Luda - his first love perfect for him or Alina?

First of all we don't know if Luda was "the first". She was just the only other one we've seen.

In which she got fridged, yet still showed more depth in her relationship with Aleksander than Alina could ever dream of (were she truly interested in such a thing).

Luda and Aleksander seemed to understand each other without long explanations, she was involved in his mission, didn't seem squeamish. Another survivor. She was also aware of Aleksander's life span, so it's safe to assume deep trust between the two. Luda was determined to do what was in her power to actively prolong her life with Aleksander, so he won't be alone against the world for that long. She understands his fears.

Judging from Ol' Bag's reaction, the two women weren't excessively friendly. That's another point for the Healer- she didn't put up with Baghra's shit, or at least wasn't willing to accept her every word as a Gospel.

Alina... well, I've written tons about Alina.

In books she were limited by her upbringing and many mental issues.

Oh, and let's not forget her step-brother-ish anvil.

She's selfish and intentionally blind, she refuses to challenge status quo, believing it the correct way things should be. Worst of all she's refusing to grow out of anything. She likes to wallow in the safety of being a grey mouse, trudging in the shadow of her future husband.

Show!Alina seemed short-sighted and reckless, but eventually showed there's no good heart underneath. It's her against the world, so let's collect the McGuffins, kill the delusional Shadow Grandpa and live as the Queen she always deserved to be! She can even make a nice speech to her three point none subjects.

Who cares the rest of the country's dying?!

Which one of these women seems like a good match for the man, who sacrificed his personhood to making the world more accepting place for his people, whether they help him or not?!

Did Boq go through a growth spurt, or did Fiyero get shorter?

Fiyero will always be taller! But as a scarecrow he slouches/hunched over because he doesn’t have a spine, so his body kinda folds into itself unless he wants to actually pull himself up completely.

But Boq did gain a couple inches himself as the Tin Man
