Happy birthday to Spartan Bonita Stone!

Today is her -512th birthday!

Stone was born on Komoya and enlisted in the UNSC, where she served on a stealth vessel. This experience lead to her placement on Fireteam Shadow after she joined the SPARTAN-IV program.

In 2560, Stone was serving aboard the Infinity when it was attacked by the Banished. She was ordered to separate from her team and evacuate with Spartan Nina Koven while the other members of Shadow stayed behind. After crash-landing on Zeta Halo, she and the remaining survivors met up with Koven, who was leading her own group of survivors. Witrhout a real fighting force or orders, the group remained hidden and only fought if necessary as they made their way through the ring. Eventually, they discovered the UNSC outpost at the Mortal Reverie. The Reverie had crash-landed on the ring but still had sufficient supplies to act as a much-needed stronghold for the scattered UNSC forces. Their leader, Spartan Hudson Griffin, left with a small team in an attempt to assassinate Escharum. He failed, and Escharum staged a counter-attack on the Reverie. Despite being prepared for the attack, the UNSC forces were overwhelmed and were forced to flee. Stone and the survivors went into hiding and resorted to guerilla warfare.

Eventually, she returned to the Reverie to find that the Banished had been excavating. They used a human prisoner to access an artifact which gave them the location of the ring's defensive systems. Realizing this would eliminate any chances of a UNSC survival, Stone attacked. She engaged with several Banished leaders, including Jega 'Rdomnai, Gorian, and Hectarius. Though she was at a significant disadvantage, she was still able to get close enough to steal the data on the ring's defenses and have her personal AI, Ouco, copy and then corrupt the Banished's version of the data. Eventually, she was overrun and was abushed by 'Rdomnai, who impaled her on his energy sword. The Banished took the data node back, unaware that it had been corrupted.

Her body was later discovered by Koven, who retrieved the invaluable data from Stone's armor, but did not have the means to move her. A month later, Stone aided the UNSC one last time when Master Chief discovered her body and was able to add her energy shielding module to his own armor.

Spartan Saturday — Bonita Stone

Specialized in reconnaissance, Spartan-IV Bonita Stone notably served on Fireteam Shadow during the Requiem Campaign in 2558. During the Battle of Installation 07, Stone ultimately fell in combat against Jega 'Rdomnai.

What a freaking BLAST!! The food was excellent (the way my bestie and I got Matt's and Trey's fave dishes respectively though, I canttttttttt!🥰), and doing the jail photos, watching the cliff divers, and traversing through the spooky Black Bart's Cave were my favorites of the activities📸🏊‍♂️👻

author's note: sorry this is more on the shorter side, it's kind of like a filler chapter and i wasn't sure what all to write

The sound of Matt silently closing the office door woke you up and you looked around the office. You usually didn't fall asleep in the office, sometimes you and Matt would stay up all night talking but after his little outburst you didn't know what to say. You sat up, rubbing the blanket in between your fingers, before processing that Matt had been the one to cover you with it, leaving a grin on your face.

You couldn't stop replaying the scene in your head from the night before. "You’re better than that. You deserve better than that." The words playing in your head, the way he shut you off afterwards. Ever since the night before at the bar, he was different. He seemed more off than usual.

After a few moments of sitting alone with your thoughts, Matt walked in with two cups in his hands, "Oh you're awake."

You nodded, looking up at him as he walked closely, handing you one of the cups, "I got you one of those white mocha things you like." He says as you take the ice cup from his hands. He reaches his free hand down and rests it on your cheek causing you to tense up as he leans down to your height. You were frozen from what he was doing, was he really gonna kiss you right now? You felt the heat of his face get closer before he whispered softly, "You uh..got something right here."

You felt him wipe your cheek gently before pulling away and walking over to his desk. You cleared your throat before speaking, a small crack in your voice at the beginning, "So did Trey finish last night?" He nods while taking a sip from his coffee, "A few minutes after you fell asleep actually. He left but I didn't want to wake you so I stayed here last night as well."

"You didn't have to do that. That's night two you've done that now." You told him looking down at your lap. Even though you had known him for over a year, it was always hard to hold eye contact with him. The way his green eyes would sparkle ever so slightly in the different lighting. He would tend this serious, almost menacing gaze as he looked down at me. It made it hard to read him which is why you hardly held eye contact with him.

"I know I didn't have to. But as I said before. I wanted to and it's fine. We both didn't really sleep so I wanted you to get your rest. Now come here." He speaks, giving you a hand motion as he sits at his desk. You rose from the couch and walked over to the desk before sitting down in the seat he pulled next to his for you.

"Okay so while Trey was working on the script I was working on some other things and I kind of want you to look over the paperwork with me and make sure everything looks good." He tells you, and you nod in response, looking at the computer screen from over his shoulder as he shifts the screen in more of your direction as you read over the paperwork. Matt liked having you proofread anything important such as letters to lawyers, or even to the network. You weren't the final voice of opinion as they would also go through other people as well, but he trusted you to tell you when something didn't sound good or anything. You were honest with him.

You noticed him watching you from the corner of your eye as you read the files on the screen. You slowly turned your head to look at him, "What?"

He shook his head slightly, looking away, "Nothing. Just thinking." He says softly, making you raise an eyebrow at him. He looks at the screen and then back at you, you still looking at him.

'This is my shot.' You thought to yourself as you looked at him. The two of you just staring at each other, you looking down at his lips before glancing back into his eyes, it's what you wanted. The gazes killed you every time. The prolonged suspense before Matt would pull away and go back to his work.

Suddenly, you were cut off by your thoughts by Matt grabbing your face and pulling you in, his lips pushed against yours. So much heat and passion as his hand rested just below your ear, as he caressed your face. His bottom lip biting yours, your tongues practically in battle for dominance.

When you felt like this moment would never end, there was suddenly a loud knock at the office door causing you two to break away and your chair slide across the desk to where you had a small distance between you two.

"Come in!" Matt yelled, clearing his throat and straightening himself out in the chair before Trey poked his head in the door. "Hey..uh..oh hey Y/N." Trey greets you with a boyish smile on his face before turning back to Matt. "You're needed in the writer's room in like five minutes."

Matt clears his throat again before looking at his computer, and nodding at Trey, "I'll be there." Trey gave a nod before waving at you and shutting the door behind him. You kept looking away, processing what had just happened between you and Matt before rising up from your chair.

"I gotta go." You said softly before grabbing your bag and starting to leave, hoping Matt would say something to stop you like a cheesy romance film but when you glanced back as you started walking out the door, he just stared blankly at his computer screen before you left, shutting the door behind you.

saw ¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor! in theaters last night !! someone who worked on the film was in the audience with us and it was very cool!! the movie was so incredible and i’m so grateful that i got to experience it in theaters! i can’t wait for it to come out on paramount plus so i can watch it over and over again!
