Headcanon: touch starvation

"No pares" - don't stop
English is not my native language, but I tried my best :'3
Miguel hates it when unfamiliar people get too close, everyone knows about it. And he hates it when they touch him. He doesn't really stand people at all and tries to stay away from them whenever possible. Of course, as long as there is no need to beat the shit out of someone. Everyone around him is "work colleagues", no more and no less, so the safety of the multiverse is the only unchanging reason why he continues to test his nerves. So…he has no friends. Only the younger brother remained from the family, who had long preferred cyberspace to the real world, so communicating with him is no different from communicating with Lyla. And a hologram can never touch you. It is intangible, neither cold nor hot, just a sparkling piece of air. But none of that matters, because Miguel has a job and no time for such minor things. After all, no one has ever died of loneliness, right?
He diligently closes his eyes to the fact that he has been dying of cold for a long time. It's maddening.
It has nothing to do with his irritability. It has nothing to do with his workaholism. No. And everyone in the spider society knows that the best way to talk to Miguel O'Hara is through the transmitter on the watch. And to speak only to the point. Literally everyone tries to adhere to these rules. Except Peter B. Parker from Earth 616B.
At first, everyone thinks that Peter's funeral will take place soon. Then they begin to watch cautiously, periodically trying to warn Parker, but soon give up. And at some point, Miguel also gives up. But not at all because he is no longer annoyed by Peter's clinginess. Just for some reason, his constant touching does not cause rejection.
Miguel feels warm again.
Hope you enjoed that! I've almost never done comics, but I'm very happy with the result. I will be very glad of reblogs/// Thanks for your attention!

I think a drunk Miguel is the man who would ask something like:
"Hey guys which element of the periodic table do you think is the most fuckable?"
And Peter, also drunk, will answer:
"Carbon, because we're all carbon-based life forms, if you know what I mean."
Two nerds.

Wait do elves have bread?
The reason I ask is because of the yeasts. They're kind of necessary to make bread breadly. And they get roasted alive when the bread is baked. So the answer is either the elves engage in mass murder or they live on saltine crackers
Edit: yeah this train of thought doesn't make sense. Yeast is a fungus and if elves are allowed to eat plants, that should extend to both mushrooms and yeast, so bread yes. I will now be using bread in a fic and regretting posting things on tumblr dot com

Only food related puns reside in Breadly’s vocabulary...
I did a post Robin design doodle, some Beans, I designed Addison and Breadly, some Steve doodles, female version of Steve’s chefs outfit plus facial stickers, and of course, the classic “Homicidal Steak Dad says trans rights!” But the Homicidal steak dad is aware of the text surrounding him lol
Also, Addison and Breadly, you just became a reaction image, congrats. Join Kaito Momota and the SDR2 doodle cast in the reaction art folder lol

"It's post-canon so yep, Bradley is in his thirties." I just read the post about your new fic and this line confuses me. Breadly was about 4 in TP which is set in 1986. Shouldn't he be in his forties post-canon then?
The timeline of the Top Gun movies is pretty inconsistent and confusing! The twins who played kid Bradley in TG86 were indeed born in 1982, which would make Bradley 4 years old when Goose died, but his official file in TGM (shown to Mav at the briefing) says he was born in 1984. But I honestly can't buy the kid in TG86 being as young as two, and a two-year-old Bradley wouldn't have any solid memories of Goose, which makes me really sad :(
It's also hard to figure out when TGM takes place. The movie was originally supposed to come out in 2020, so it most likely doesn't take place in 2022. Mav's calendar seems to be from 2019 (this is when the movie was filmed), so I think it takes place in October of 2019. And depending on what year Bradley was born in, he'd either be 35 or 37 during the events of TGM.
I personally like to set his birthday in 1982, because I want him to have some memories of Goose, but a lot of people use the new canon birthdate. And I've seen some people make him closer to Miles Teller's age (he was around 31-32 during filming), but I don't know how that works since the original movie takes place a year before Miles was born :D

This is optional to read, but I think this is worth a read anyways, seeing as I explain how things will be. You can just vote if you’d like! If you do read this, and have any questions about anything you read, please come and ask me! I want to make this blog as fun as I can, both for me as the admin and all those following it!
Hi, me again! While I finish up the last of the teachers references, I come to you with another poll with another set of options related to the opening for the Alt. Aftermath AU opening, seeing as that’s why 75% of y’all voted for!
There are three main groups you can choose to ask, and I’ll give little briefs on what each group includes, who will answer questions the most out of the group (AKA who has the most freetime in order to answer questions), what they do for work (if applicable), etc.
Group 1: This group consists of Roy, Harry, Sketch and Colin.
In this group, Sketch will be able to answer the most questions alongside Roy. One works from home and the other has very small classes and not too much to keep track of.
Sketch works as an art teacher at the nearby elementary school.
Colin works as a robotics teacher at the nearby high school.
Roy works for a company that produces different things, such as shows, movies, cartoons, etc. He does the financials or whatever.
Harry works an office job.
Due to the reset, Sketch does not remember the events of DHMIS, while Colin and Roy don’t remember it very clearly.
Group 2: This group consists of Red Robin (Also named Robin, but I call them Daniel/Danny so I don’t confuse them with Post Robin), Blue Harry (Henry), Green Manny (Maxwell), Anthony/Tony, Vanellope/Veg, Breadly/Bread Boy, and Franklin/Fridge. Yes, Steve is technically apart of this group, but I want him to come in at a later point.
In this group, Danny and the kids will answer most of the questions most of the time. Danny doesn’t work (they babysit the kids I guess you could actually call that their job) and the kids, well, kids talk to themselves all the time, who really is gonna notice?
At first, you can really only ask Danny, Max and Henry. Those three will segway into opening the other 4.
Danny is a babysitter.
Henry works a office job, just like Harry.
Maxwell is in elementary school.
Tony is a history teacher at the middle school.
Veg is in middle school.
Breadly is in elementary school.
Franklin is a chef at a nearby bar.
In case you wanted to know, the Monster Cans (Addison, Benjamin, and Carmen.) also work at the nearby bar with Franklin as servers. Steve usually works there too as a chef.
None of them knows/remember DHMIS and as a result, they don’t know about Robin or Manuel, but Danny gets weird senses of deja vu and will sometimes act out of character. Hmm...
This group, will being one big group, is really two smaller groups that come together as one by midday. You’ve got the three kids and the four adults.
Group 3: This group consists of Post Manny (or just, Manny I guess) and Post Robin.
Ahh yes, Robin and Manny. Because they died during the events of DHMIS, they do not exist in the Alt. Universe. Or at least, not in the way Harry and Roy do.
This group seems like it’s a small group, cause it is.
Why isn’t Shrignold, Lilith or Larry in any of the groups? Will they not be apart of this?
Of course, Shrignold, Lilith and Larry will definitely make their appearance in due time, but they aren’t the only ones that didn’t make the beginners list! Have a look at this list, as well as some roles some of them may have!
Shrignold
Lilith (Elementary Student, DHMIS 3 Special One)
Malcolm (DHMIS 3)
Laptop (DHMIS 4, Robotics Teacher)
Globe (DHMIS 4, History Teacher)
The Monster Cans (DHMIS 5, Waiters)
Larry
The Universe Guy (DHMIS 6, Science Teacher)
The Calander (DHMIS 1 and onwards)
Football (DHMIS 6, PE Teacher)
Magnet (DHMIS 6, Science Teacher)
I’ve got to make Danny’s ref, Robin’s ref, Max and Manny’s ref, Henry’s ref, and then the rest of the healthy gang’s references, but I will be posting the introduction to whichever group you all vote for after I finish Danny and Robin’s references. I’m doing this for a reason, hehe.
Short voting time y’all! Maybe a day?

Speaking of Miguel, I thought I had no idea what was driving this man to keep moving forward. BUT:

Peter had Uncle Ben and Aunt May, who loved him, raised him well, and said something that Parker would remember all his life as a mantra. As for Miguel, he has no one. Literally no one who cares about him and whom he loves. Parents are pieces of shit, the biological father is literally the worst enemy, the brother is canonically dead, the second half-brother is another enemy, one girlfriend is gone forever, the other died because Miguel could not save her, he will never be able to see the third one again, as with their son, the daughter disappeared along with the whole alternate universe.... Good God, everything he touches is dying.

"With great power comes great responsibility," Peter has been telling himself all his life. "With great power comes great guilt," Miguel is sure. Because always, no matter how hard he tries to do something good, it is not enough, and he loses people close to him, and the world does not get better.

And if no one told him wise thoughts, like Uncle Ben did for Peter, if no one was ever around, if no one raised Miguel to be a good person... Then why is he trying so hard to be one? Why doesn't he try to give up everything, why doesn't he become a villain, why does he continue to help people? Where the hell is this inner core coming from?!

And when I think about it, I have only one idea: Spider-Man.
Miguel lives in the future, in year 2099, but at the beginning of the century, even before the catastrophe that wiped out half the world's population, there was an era of heroes. Spider-Man was one of them, the memory of him is alive even years later, and in the 1992 run, Miguel has Spider-Man comics. The ones he read with his brother Gabriel. This is partly why he will try to recreate these spider superpowers in his project at work at Alchemax.

Miguel remembers Spider-Man, he considers him one of the most outstanding heroes of the past, he literally CRIES when he accidentally encounters the real Spider-Man during his first time jumps. Miguel is a fan of his. For him, Spider-Man is an example of perhaps everything he is trying to achieve. He is a hero, a symbol of hope, which Miguel will never become.

But he keeps trying anyway.

"No! How can you ship them and draw them together?! Peter has a wife and a daughter!" they say, and then they ship Hobie with Pavitr, who has a girlfriend.
Dude.
Besides, who said I forgot about MJ? No-no, you don't get it. Peter has TWO hands. OK?

I often see people saying that Miguel hates children. All I can say to such people is that their views are too shallow. And that's why they're wrong:

Let's think logically. Miguel, like the entire HQ, is sure that the violation of canon events will result in the destruction of the entire universe. He has reason to believe so - before his eyes, the whole world disappeared through his own fault. That's it, it's all gone. Of course, Miguel will be sure that it is not worth violating the canon. Moreover, he knows that the universes are connected, and if you lose too many of them, then the entire multiverse will collapse, this is logical. It's like a spider web - the more holes there are in it, the sooner it will break.

Miguel leads a squad that maintains the stability of the canon by dealing with anomalies. He must be sure that each of the spider-men will be reliable enough to prevent a violation of the canon event. He has no other option, he will not just forget about the minor mistakes of any spider-man from the HQ. Not because he's angry and strict, but because the safety of all universes depends on it, God damn it.

He's in charge for a reason. He knows what he is doing and why, he knows what a mistake will cost. "I don't always like what I have to do. But I know that I have to be the one to do it." He knows that the canon event often costs someone their life, he knows that some spider-man will feel bad about it, but are there any other options?... Yes, in the question "one person or the whole universe" he chooses the universe, but that doesn't make him an asshole. He's trying to save millions of lives in the only reliable way he knows how.

And now back to his "hatred of children." Miles. Yes, I can understand his desire to save his father, but it could destroy his universe. And yes, it is not a fact that it will be destroyed, but judging by what Miguel saw, the chance of the collapse of the universe is GREAT. And it's not just about Miles's universe, it's about all universes. A web with many holes breaks faster. If saving the universes costs Miles's father's life, if Miguel has to keep Miles at HQ by force to prevent him from making a mistake, he will do it. I don't think Miguel likes it. But he knows he has to be the one to do it.

Gwen. A lot of people didn't like the way he treated her, but listen - there were reasons for that. As I said, Miguel needs to be confident in every spider-Man at HQ, it's a matter of keeping the universes safe. And Gwen let Miles go, let go of someone whose actions could destroy everything. Miguel can't count on her the way he used to, not after she let Pavitr's canon break and didn't catch Miles. He sends her home not because he hate her, but because the HQ is not a place for those who think with their gut. Here you need to think with your head, only this can be 100% sure. You can't make mistakes. HQ must not allow the disruption of the canon. They must not allow the chance of death of millions of people. So Miguel wasn't mad at Gwen. He was disappointed in her - because she couldn't make a hard choice.

For the same reason, he doesn't take Peter B. on a mission. Peter didn't stop Miles when he had the chance, but unlike Gwen, he hasn't questioned Miguel's theory about the canons yet. Peter believes him, but is clearly not sure what to do next. That's why Miguel takes Jess and Ben with him, the ones he's 100% sure of.

Next... Gwen's father. No one, damn it, keeps their finger on the trigger when they don't really want to shoot. Do you think he wouldn't have shot his own daughter? Oh no, he would have done it. And Miguel understood that - that's why he intervened, even though he shouldn't have been there. After all, remember - a vulture could disrupt some kind of canon event. But which one? Facereveal Gwen in front of her father, perhaps? Nevertheless, Miguel intervened. After all, he knows what it's like to deal with an Irish father named George, who is ready to raise his hand against a child.

And then, even seeing Gwen's insecurity after everything that happened, he suggests that she "join the club", he knows what it's like to be all alone. And he clearly doesn't want that for Gwen.

Miguel is not a bad character. Not a villain. He doesn't hate children. He's just trying to protect the universes the best he can, and he's ready to be the one who has to make the hard choice. I don't think he likes it all. He keeps doing it because he doesn't know any other way. He tried to find it - and the more he tried, the more damage he did. He’s only on the “prevent other worlds from being disrupted” step of this process and he’s already way past worn out.

Look at it from this angle - if you had been working on a project for a very long time, which you had already failed once (and it was so terrible that you don't want to remember), which required all your time and effort, required you to lead people you didn't know very well, required you to constantly make choices, after which you would they always looked askance, and you yourself would feel extremely lousy, but which would clearly benefit many people... And then there was a high chance that another person would ruin everything for you, because he has another untested work plan. And this person is not listening to you, this person is not interested in your arguments, he is absolutely stubborn. Wouldn't you freak out about it? Wouldn't you be angry? Wouldn't you try to stop this person with all your might? This is not hatred of children. It's a damn fear.

You know, I've never considered Schlatt to be a real villain on DreamSMP.
Even before I found out more about him, he seemed to me more like an antihero. Partly because hey, every bad guy has a reason to be bad, right? Schlatt had it, I guess I can understand his rudeness and alcoholism. I'm not saying that it justifies what an asshole he was, no, I'm just saying that there was a pretty good reason for it.
What reason? His disease.
This is canon — judging by Fundy's spy notes, Schlatt had some form of muscular dystrophy and a "sick body." He doesn't swim or run canonically, and this fits perfectly with his disease. Like anyone else, it was one of the reasons for his alcoholism and crappy personality.
Would you be happy to exist every day knowing that you are terminally ill, that your body is getting weaker and weaker, that there is nothing you can do about it? Now you can't swim or run, soon you won't be able to walk, then you won't be able to breathe on your own an in the end your heart will just stop working... And there is no cure. Do you know what is the most common cause of death for people with a similar diagnosis? A heart attack. Yeah.
Few people will continue to be positive in such a situation. Alcohol can help you relax, but it's still a bad choice. But Schlatt didn't really have anyone he could really rely on — even Quackity eventually left.
After death, by the way, Schlatt showed up as a ghost, but where? In a gym. He was trying to build up his muscles, which is kinda stupid for a ghost, but hey, he couldn't do anything like that in while he was alive, maybe he's trying to catch up? It's sad again.
It's also sad that Schlatt ended up alone. Like, I want to note that the time when he was president was the most peaceful in Manberg's history. The dude was literally performing his duties properly, albeit harshly, and for that he was... Hated? I mean, yes, he banished Tommy and Wilbur, but look at it from the other side — they were both the instigators of all the troubles at that time. And now — problem solved. I don't like Tommy for many reasons, and one of them is that he's good at creating chaos that others have to clean up. But is he loved for that??? And Schlatt, who tried to solve this problem, is hated. Wow. What in the actual fuck?
Okay, maybe I'm really justifying him, but I don't understand those who consider Schlatt the default villain. He obviously had a bad temper, a questionable sense of humor, and an alcohol addiction, but the dude really tried his best. And compared to other rulers that were on the server, his way of solving the problem for me personally was the most peaceful, albeit radical.
However, later everything went downhill completely, but that's another conversation...

I don't remember if I wrote about this before, but...
Miguel's eyes are red. Their hue and brightness change depending on his mood (you can see it in the movie), but red eyes themselves are very unusual even for spider-Man. Is it scary? I don't think so.
I like that in the 1992 comic, his eyes are not just red, but also with white pupils. This makes them look like a sunset. One of those that often happens in August - completely bright red, so much so that the whole sky changes color. The sun itself looks like a white ball on the horizon.
And it's fucking beautiful.

Thats why I draw his eyes like that.
