"You left it where?" Brigiding asked horrified. This was not the way she had been picturing her calm morning after a long night out.

Viñas cracked a smile, "in your room, so if you could let me in real quick I can get it myself."

"Oh uh, you can't go in there right now," Brigiding deflected, maybe a tad too fast to go unnoticed.

"And why is that?" Viñas challenged. She was acting like she knew something, and Brigiding didn't like that one bit.

"It's really messy, I wouldn't want you to see that."

"If it's worse than your living room I'll take your word for it," Viñas paused, as if to chew on her next set of words, "didn't know you used your floor as a coat hanger."

And there it was, Minty's crumpled up coat, tossed onto the floor in the heat of the moment. Brigiding had to think fast, or Viñas would be on her case all day until she found out who it belonged to.

"Yeah, long night you know."

Viñas wasn't one to let go when she sensed something was up, and the way Brigiding was acting was suspicious as all hell.

"I bet. A long night," Viñas teased, "so is that why you can't let me in your room? Caught a great stud and left his jacket on the floor?"

"Viñas, no!" Brigiding gave her a playful punch on the shoulder. "That's mine. I went home alone," Brigiding stressed the last word for emphasis.

"If you say so," Viñas still didn't believe her.

"So, your bracelet, it's the silver one with studs right?" Brigiding changed the subject back to why Viñas was even there at 9 in the morning.

"That's the one," Viñas confirmed.

"I'll get it for you so you can move on with your day."

"Thank you."

When Brigiding went into her room to fetch her bracelet, Viñas got a good look at Brigiding's place. The room was tidy by their standards, with a few knick knacks laying around. The offending coat still laid on the floor, and Viñas could swear it looked familiar. In the entryway, an extra pair of shoes had been left haphazardly, one of them turned on its side. Someone else was definitely there, someone Brigiding didn't want her to see.

Viñas didn't get a good look at what was in the kitchen before Brigiding emerged from her room, bracelet in hand.

"I found it," Brigiding declared victoriously. "It wasn't that hard to find."

"Thank you," Viñas accepted the bracelet, clutching it tightly like a treasure. Now that she had what she came for, she couldn't intrude for much longer.

"I still don't get why you had to be here this early."

"I was in the area, and thought I'd drop by before I went home."

"Ah, you stayed with Precious then?" Brigiding asked.

"Yeah. Well, I must get going now," Viñas bid her goodbye, getting a hug on her way out. She had gotten all that she needed from her brief little visit, with a little something extra.

After locking the door, Brigiding rested her head against it. That had been way too close. She could feel herself calm down the moment she felt a pair of arms wrap around her. The familiar scent did wonders for her nerves.

"Think she found out?" Minty whispered against her ear.

"Couldn't have," Brigiding let go of the breath she didn't realise she had been holding. "Are you mad?"

"Of course not," Minty said, turning Brigiding over to face her. Minty brushed her lip with her thumb, lifting her chin to kiss her. In Minty's embrace, Brigiding could forget the world. If she said it was fine, then that was the truth.

I'm a June baby, so I have several Birth Stones ⇥ Alexandrite (the one most commonly associated with June), Pearl, and Moonstone.

However, there's also a series of American specific Birth Stones recommended by George Frederick Kunz in 'The Curious Lore of Precious Stones'; it was his opinion that "Those born in the US should wear birthstones of US furnishing" ... For June in particular, he suggested Moss Agate- a stone found in Montana, California (my actual state of birth), Wyoming, and Arizona, and which was central to the Wyoming economy at the time around 1913.

I own a lot of jewelry, most of which is Vintage. This includes several pieces that actually do contain my Birth Stones- though I didn't buy them because of that specifically, and all of those pieces are modern.

My Moonstone bracelet was received as a "gift", as part of a Jewelry Subscription Box trial I cancelled; the Pearl pendant was my 5th Wedding Anniversary gift from my Husband; and the Moss Agate set (which also has earrings not pictured) I purchased myself as a devotional set for the Growing Green when I dedicated myself to the Verderer's Path after formally returning to Wicca in 2021 ... Alexandrite is the only Birth Stone for which I'm actually missing jewelry- though I used to have a Class Ring set with it in High School. I've no idea what happened to it, sadly.

I've studied them all at this point, but I think Moss Agate's the most fitting for me as a Verderer and has the most interesting Metaphysical properties ⇥

I haven't been able to find any legitimate basis- historical, aesthetic, or otherwise- for this separation, however. Nor have I found its origins as of yet ... But it seems to ultimately be a superfluous and unnecessary separation of the many designs Moss Agate can be found in.

What kind of witch am I? I’m a folk practitioner!! This means I work more with what I have on hand. I’m not super big or fancy. Luckily because it’s modern age that means I’m still able to work with a diverse amount of ingredients.

I work with a lot of local spirits and herbs, and some that aren’t quite so local. I’m also a worshiper of the goddess Brigid and do some work with her. She’s the Irish goddess of metalworking, poetry, and healing.

As for my favourite Crystal? I have so many favourites! But right now I have been working with a hematite evil eye bracelet and a chunk of rose quartz every single day, so I’m going to show a picture of those two

Happy Imbolc everyone and here's to a good Spring that comes early! I've made some springtime earrings today in honour of Saint Brigid. Salvaged assemblage art earrings that feature some vintage treasures - like these Sarah Coventry rainbow glass connectors from a broken bracelet and what I think are 1950's brass embossed buttons with wonderfully bold hand painted flowers. I've created a brass hoop with wire wrapping secured with silver solder to show case them. There's also a reclaimed brass stamping which I think may have been from a drawer which has a lovely salmon patina. At the top sit my own ceramic pottery beads with earth and ocean glazes. wanted plots: patty cake patty cake

Here are some wanted plots for Patty! We got some big goals coming up so let’s go!

Sword: Dangerous ruins that no one has been to? Sounds like a breeding spot for treasure, actually! There’s no way it’s as dangerous as they say it is...right? Right!

Lance: I don’t trust Patty with a lance in any way, but she would want to follow up on the trends and probably smack someone with it (accidentally, of course). She’ll also just make you a bracelet which I think is fun. (Altena)

Axe: Of COURSE she isn’t going to give up the chance of receiving some sort of legendary weapon! Maybe then she can be just as cool as her mom or big bro lol. Also she may jump into the water. (Leif)

Welllp These Are Books: the February 2021 Edition

Most of my last month was spent on deadline and waiting for people to respond to my emails, which meant I did not have the time (or energy) to write much of anything, but had plenty of time to read, quite frankly, an absurd number of books. Some of which were very good, some of which were very cheesy, and some of which I have now told multiple people was quite possibly the worst book I have ever read. As always, though, what are my opinions if I am not sharing them with the internet? Ridiculous headlines, links, and those aforementioned opinions under the cut. As always, part two, feel free to send me any and all recommendations. It cannot possibly be worse than this one book. Seriously, you’ll understand in a second.

Quite Possibly the First Book I’ve Gone Out of My Way to Buy On Release Day Since Breaking Dawn, Which Says a lot About Me. As a Person.

I’m not kidding when I tell you that I was counting the days until this came out. I was kind of indifferent to Nesta after the original ACOTAR books, but intrigued enough that I was like, I need to read this, and then I did read this and now I care quite a lot about Nesta. And how in love with Cassian she is. And vice versa. Because, let’s be honest, dude is in l o v e. There were some parts of the story I was not super into — namely, Ferye having to die in childbirth. Like, you’re telling me Cassian could have his guts hanging out at one point and we don’t know how to do a c-section? Nah, that ain’t it. Also, pregnancy as a storyline is not always my favorite thing, but more on that in a second. Also, also, here’s a bunch more words about ACOSF.

I loved the first book in this series. Absolutely adored it. So much so that I pretty quickly got the second one and read it. Enjoyed that on its own, but like I said in that one ask, I’m fairly certain A Curse So Dark and Lonely could have very easily been a standalone story. Should have been a standalone story? There was just SO MUCH going on here, and not nearly enough of it was resolved. Plot points just hung by the end of the trilogy, I was not ever entirely convinced Rhen and Harper were actually in love, let alone liked each other, and I thought Rhen got the very short end of an exceptionally cracked stick by the time the whole story wrapped up. Really, I think this  tried to do too much in not enough time and there should probably be another book. Also Lia Mara getting pregnant was dumb. There I said it.

Free Books On Amazon Unlimited That Were Better Than Expected, But Also Read Like Fic

The Bargainer Series by Laura Thalassa

No one is going to be able to convince me this wasn’t ACOTAR fan fic. I don’t care about timing or dates, or whatever. The similarities just...did not stop. In all three books, even. There were three books in this series, by the way. Most of which I really enjoyed. I read them all in like four days of email waiting, so they must have been doing something right. Des was a good love interest and I really liked the flashbacks in the first book. Also Callie didn’t super annoy me. That being said, whoever edited this book. Oof. Some of the prose was so goddamn cringe, I literally lol’ed. Right out loud. Every now and then it was like we had to be reminded that Des was a BAD GUY ™ but it felt very Edward “I’m a killer, Bella” Cullen, and Callie’s internal monologue was occasionally hysterical. Not in a good way. Also Temper was the worst. She was so annoying. Every time she talked, I was like, oh, her again. The first book was the best one.

HITTING ALL MY ROM COM BOXES! BASEBALL! ROMANCE! PINING! ONLY VAGUELY UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN THEY HAD SEX IN THE PORT JEFF DUGOUT BECAUSE I’VE BEEN IN THE PORT JEFF DUGOUT.

Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey

Georgette Castle’s family runs the best home renovation business in town, but she picked balloons instead of blueprints and they haven’t taken her seriously since. Frankly, she’s over it. Georgie loves planning children’s birthday parties and making people laugh, just not at her own expense. She’s determined to fix herself up into a Woman of the World... whatever that means.

Maybe if people think she’s having a steamy love affair, they’ll acknowledge she’s not just the “little sister” who paints faces for a living. And who better to help demolish that image than the resident sports star and tabloid favorite.

Legit, I saw the description for this and I was like—did I write this? Kind of. (Shameless plug to read my own rom com, it also has baseball and pining) It didn’t matter, I loved it. Seriously, it hit all my rom com boxes: childhood friends, best friend’s sister, coming back home under duress, FAKE DATING and, let’s be honest, I am not immune to the use of “baby girl” as an endearment. Every time Travis called Georgie “baby girl” I was like, oh, ok, this is cool. It was cool! I only have two quips. One, that the fake dating didn’t last a little longer. The pacing of the story felt very quick, but that’s also this genre’s style. So I kind of get it. And two, that it happened in Port Jefferson, which is a town in Suffolk County that I have not only been to, but have spent significant time in. Meaning I could picture every single thing, knew exactly where they were and have used the exit on the Northern State Parkway that the final moments of the book took place at. The Port Jeff girls basketball team won a Long Island championship last weekend. In real life, not the book.

Mistletoe and Mr. Right by Sarah Morgenthaler

Lana Montgomery is everything the quirky small town of Moose Springs, Alaska can't stand: a rich socialite with dreams of changing things for the better. But Lana's determined to prove that she belongs...even if it means trading her stilettos for snow boots and tracking one of the town's hairiest Christmas mysteries: the Santa Moose, an antlered Grinch hell-bent on destroying every bit of holiday cheer (and tinsel) it can sink its teeth into.

I mentioned The Tourist Attraction in my January list, and this is the second in the Moose Springs trio. And it’s so good! I wish people were all as nice to Lana as Rick was. It’s what she deserved! More small-town antics, more kissing, another moose. This one was just as cute as the original book, especially because it brought back original characters and Zoey and Graham were so goddamn adorable as a committed couple I genuinely feared for the state of my teeth.

Enjoy the View by Sarah Morgenthaler

Former Hollywood darling River Lane's acting career is tanking fast. Wrapping up the Moose Springs trio, this one might have been my least favorite, but that’s not really saying much. Since I loved them all pretty equally. River and Easton’s banter was grade-A, top-notch, which is a one-way ticket to my reading-heart. Maybe part of the problem (I say problem like there really was one) was that most of the story took place on a mountain. I kind of wanted more small-town shenanigans, and updates on the condos and the state of the town and Graham being mayor. Still, this was very cute. I swooned multiple times. I’ll probably read anything Sarah Morgenthaler writes from here on out.

Like I said last month, I put a hold on pretty much everything Renee Ahdieh had written in my library. And this was just as good as the last series I read. Her world building is just—chef’s kiss, gorgeous. I dream of writing this airy, magical way, that makes you feel like you’re in New Orleans. That being said, I do not know what kid is reading this because apparently this is YA and I had to read every single word to figure out what was going on. Now, I know there are two more books in the series, but this one felt like a lot of set up and I spent most of it being like...will this make sense eventually? It did, but only during a very rushed climax of final few chapters. The sequel isn’t available on Kindle at the library, and I haven’t bought it yet. So, that’s probably kind of telling.

I love Meg Cabot. That should be stated upfront and at the very beginning because for a very long time I have claimed that being Meg Cabot was my dream job. I’ve read pretty much every book Meg Cabot has ever written and was fairly certain I’d be into these once I did read them. Only I was...not. Not really. Everything in this book happened so quickly, I felt like I was the one in the hurricane. People were kissing and then they were having sex and there was a storm and pets and then—it was over? The pacing was all over the place, I had no idea why Drew and Bree liked each other, some guy kicked a dog at one point?? It was weird. Which leads us to—

No Offense by Meg Cabot

A broken engagement only gave Molly Montgomery additional incentive to follow her dream job from the Colorado Rockies to the Florida Keys. Now, as Little Bridge Island Public Library’s head of children’s services, Molly hopes the messiest thing in her life will be her sticky-note covered desk. But fate—in the form of a newborn left in the restroom—has other ideas. So does the sheriff who comes to investigate the “abandonment”.  When John Hartwell folds all six-feet-three of himself into a tiny chair and insists that whoever left the baby is a criminal, Molly begs to differ and asks what he’s doing about the Island’s real crime wave (if thefts of items from homes that have been left unlocked could be called that). Not the best of starts, but the man’s arrogance is almost as distracting as his blue eyes. Almost…

John would be pretty irritated if one of his deputies had a desk as disorderly as Molly’s. Good thing she doesn’t work for him, considering how attracted he is to her. Molly’s lilting librarian voice makes even the saltiest remarks go down sweeter, which is bad as long as she’s a witness but might be good once the case is solved—provided he hasn’t gotten on her last nerve by then. Recently divorced, John has been having trouble adjusting to single life as well as single parenthood. But something in Molly’s beautiful smile gives John hope that his old life on Little Bridge might suddenly hold new promise—if only they can get over their differences.

This isn’t a sequel SEQUEL, but another one of those “exists in the same universe,” or same town, as it were, and it was better than No Judgments. Molly and John actually had a few legitimate conversations before they started kissing. The conflict was still weird and sort of forced, this was not Meg’s usual banter (I fell like I can call her Meg at this point, y’know?) and, again, the ending just felt like it...happened. I don’t know guys, maybe I should just reread The Boy Is Back. Or that quasi Persephone-Hades series. It’s been awhile. On that one, at least. I read The Boy Is Back like six months ago.

When I tell you guys that this was the worst book I have read in recent memory, I am not kidding. Might actually be the worst book I have ever read. Bar none. And that’s saying something because one time I had to read Ender’s Game in college and that, like, physically pained me. This was awful. Awful people. Awful plot. Awful resolution. AWFUL. Where to start? Well, I’m not going to apologize for spoilers, because God help us all, do not read this book. Ava has been through so many horrible things in her life it was like someone was trying to set a record. Bad parents, cheating ex-boyfriend, dead former best friend who was former because of the cheating ex-boyfriend. Naturally, this made her a control freak because—of course, or something. And Caleb! Oh my God, fucking Caleb Scott. The dickwad. I’ve never rooted for anyone to not get the girl more. When Ava “broke up” with him (they were never really together) I might have cheered. Shitty things does not give you an excuse to be a dick, and Caleb was a dick. Seriously, he started crying about how his ex-fiance KILLED THEIR BABY and I was like—this cannot possibly be a real book. It was! With lots of abortion opinions out of FUCKING nowhere, and weird possessive behavior from, like, every dude in it. Both Ava AND her best friend (not the dead one, a different one) got assaulted at one point. I kept reading solely because I was desperate to see how they rationalized Ava and Caleb getting back together at the end and they didn’t. He showed up on her flight when her boss came up with a fake work trip so he could sit next to her on the plane. What? WHAT?? It was so dumb. So bad. I can’t believe I read it.

- hehe yes to getting beeped by machines!! Okkk I’m glad, so Lexi is busy with Quinner means that we are just getting coffeeee. We aren’t like you and Jamie who make out in arenas.

- hehe Jamie would just be glaring at cozzy when he sits down, and cozzy becomes slightly terrified so he gives up the seat but still wants $50 because he wants to buy himself something on the flight. He goes to sit w his sleeping buddy devon. Kesh and Kirby are just to cool to deal with our crazy shit in the morning.

-no sore neck for Dylan. Thank you brigid. Yes to all of these soft moments. Playing with each other’s hair, the freckle tracing and the slightly heated make out that you would be having while Dylan is sleeping because I don’t think he could handle that lol. Another thought jamie just helping you fidget less because you keep hitting the back of Bowen’s seat and he’s sleeping.

- Kesh and Kirby are like the star couple, they are just perfect with each other. I understand why you wouldn’t want to know us esp when quinton Braden and Peyton start to throw snacks over the seats.

-honestly if I had that much coffee I would probably throw up, but kudos to Quinner for passing out after consuming all of that. I want freckles kisses but also I would play with jacks rope bracelets and w his hair 🥺. You would probably get really annoyed because of my leg tapping so Quinner also needs to calm that down as well.

- me slapping Ryan to wake up is just vv funny to me. Yess to them admiring our hair . Whenever I travel to warm places my skin always clears uppp so it’s nice.

-yay we are all sharing rooms w our bbs. hey hey

hey I’m not that dirty minded but like how can you resist? I don’t wanna hear to much from the two of you I mean it 😏. Omg I just had an idea imagine everybody just running into each other’s rooms and chasing each other. I hope we don’t walk in on you two lol. And we all settle in one room and have a slumber party lol. Face masks w the boys ‘I’m sorry why is it green’ ‘calm down, it’s a cucumber face mask it’ll hydrate your skin’ and then when they take them off the boys are glowing heheh.

- ok so I’ve bought an entire new wardrobe for this trip lol l. Ooo shopping would be vv fun. In this reality we have money hehe. Jamie carrying you into the water is 🤌 and I love it. Me and Quinner still need to be chaotic so we push each other into waves and then Brigid and jamie join. Meanwhile Kesh and Kirby are just chilling. Yesss with the hair slicked back and just wrapping your legs around their waists and maybeeeee kissing.

-finally me and Brigid are on the same team. Like Ryan you hit me in the face brigid will hit you 2x harder. Yess to all of us having moments on the beach at night.

- apparently we had some eventful nights😏 ehich I love even some of the boys because they want to have summer flings so no early morning for us. I love hotel breakfast as well esp if they have a buffet because you can eat as much as you want.

- cliff diving: ofc Brigid and Dylan go first because they are literally not scared of anything. aww you grabbing Jamie’s hand while he’s terrified. While that’s happening me and Ryan are hyping each other up, we slap each other on the backs etc. And we start to run and I get Quinner to come even if he’s terrified. I’d probably yell ‘let’s fucking goooo’ Brigid I’m making you the person that yells Marco the entire time lol cuz you are the swimmer of the group. Hehe us blaming Kesh and Kirby because they couldn’t figure out how to get out of the water. just a thought, wouldn’t it be better if you stay with the boys just in case they have trouble swimming and you can help them. And maybe I can go with Dylan and bond with him a bit. Any way works tho :). Hehe once everybody gets to the beach we are just crawling because we are tired from swimming and we just sleep on the beach lol.

- I’m good with dong half and half- snorkelling and scuba. Awww you holding Jamie’s hand and pulling him along. Same with me and Quinner and kesh and Kirby. I was terrified lol . Oo that’s so cool that you got to swim with turtles. That’s great for 8 year old Brigid:)).

Ooo a catamaran is so fun as well. Anyways dylan is just talented at everything. So he plays guitar and maybe he can help me reawaken my guitar skills. So I just watch him lol. Finally somebody who doesn’t make fun of me listening to the mamma Mia sound track. I love it sm and it just gives off the biggest Greece vibes. Aww and all of us just singing softly. And then just cuddling with the boys in the sun and me taking a bunch of photos! Aloe Vera it is😏😏.

Side story: so brigid you are playing music on the speakers while we are on the boat and Jamie goes to change the song and sees that there is an adorable photo of you and him as your wallpaper and he asks ‘you have me as your lock screen’ and you blush and say yes and he gives you the biggest kiss and then the rest of the boys are like awwww and all compare lock screens. And then Quinner looks at mine and smiles same w Kirby.

Yayyy us dressing cute all of hair is in natural waves/curls and getting dinner at a cute restaurant. and then exploring the nightlife in Mykonos. Ooo the drinks are a plus to us being chaotic at night. Like we would laugh so much at night. Awww kisses under the moon and then backkkk to the hotel for spicy evening pt 2

Side note: so imagine we already had dinner and we just start exploring Mykonos and we come across a live band playing outside and Jamie sees people dancing and then asks you to dance:) and you ofc agree and you just have the most intimate slow dance 🥺 and you just stare into his eyes and then tuck your face into his neck. Kirby also sees and asks kesh to dance and they are just admiring each other. And then Quinner sees me pouting and crying over you two and asks me to dance as well and we also slow dance. The rest of boys also find some ladies to dance with.

Next day: we decide to explore Mykonos like going to see the ruins and historical sights. So we all set off in the morning. Since Greece has a lot of alleys and stairs everyone some of us ( me and Ryan I fall down the stairs sm ) accidentally fall down the stairs ‘oh for fucks sake why do I always have to fall’ ‘what about me Lexi?’ ‘ you’re a hockey player you fall all the time anyway’ so we just bicker and you guys laugh and Quinner helps me up. ‘Hey Brigid we heard you and Jamie last night’ ‘shut up Cole we saw that girl sneak out of your room lol’ so everyone is just chirping each other the entire time. We get to the historic sights and we are all in awe and take a bunch of photos. Then we go get lunch and just chill. After that we all return to the hotel in the evening and we all get dinner. All in all I am loving this trip. It’s just so great.

Also I realized that pro tennis players go there during off season and so if I see one of them I will totally ask for a photo and go play tennis with them one afternoon. ‘Omg guys Serena William is hereeee’ and I just run off lol.

- another part might be happening but I might start with our Europe tripppppppp.

all of us get to share rooms with our bbs:) also i said we would try to keep quiet, i don’t know what more you want from jamie and i. i don’t think you and quinner are exactly silent either at night lmao. omg yesss running into each other’s rooms playing hotel tag! hehe i advise if you see a singular piece of clothing on our floor then you leave, bc i keep my room freakishly neat. but anywayssss i would dominate hotel tag, i love that game and i have a lot of practice lol

hehe late breakfast bc we had eventful nights and don’t wanna get up early. and then i’m eating sm at the buffet lol and the guys are just like how? bc i’m just a very hungry person in general lol

hehe ok cliff diving: obvi me and dyl first bc we’re the daredevils, but i also pull jamie with us bc i don’t want to leave my bb behind. and then you and ryan hype each other up and you guys come next but then you pull quinner with you too, bc you don’t want to leave him behind. hehe i’m not being marco the whole time sorry, whoever gets tagged becomes marco. hehe and then once we’re ready to get out we blame kesh and kirby that we don’t know how lol ‘wow thanks mom and dad, how helpful’ jk we still love you kesh!! honestly i’m down to either, stay with the guys in the water or climb up, i did do rock climbing for a couple years tho so idk if that makes a difference. but then also they probably need help swimming and you want to bond with dyl, so honestly up to you:) 

snorkeling and scuba diving - all of us holding hands with our bfs and swimming with them🥺 hehe yes little brigid was really just living a wild life lol. anywaysss then we’re back on the catamaran and dyl’s just playing music and then we give lexi a turn and she’s surprisingly good for having not played in so long. and then singing mama mia is so fun! and just hanging out on the boat in general and having fun and cuddling with our boys. and then ofc we have to use aloe vera lol

hehe yess i have aux on the boat, but at some point i just ask jamie to go change the song and he knows my password, but i forgot he doesn’t know i changed my wallpaper. so then he’s sees the pic of us cuddling together in the airport and he’s just like ‘i’m your wallpaper’ and i just blush and go ‘well, yeah’ and he just comes over and hugs me and gives me a kiss. so then everyone’s comparing wallpapers lol, and so quinner and kirby are vv happy when they see lexi and kesh’s

yesss all of us looking cute and exploring mykonos nightlife. haha everyone’s at least a little tipsy bc it’s super easy to get drinks there. hehe all of us super loud and laughing and stuff, love that. and then moonlight kisses🥰 

awww yes, we’re exploring and we see a live band so jamie asks me to dance. and i blush but ofc i say yes, so we’re just having the softest most intimate slow dance🥺 staring into each other’s eyes at first, but then i tuck my face into his chest bc i get nervous with eye contact. and then ofc kirby has to ask kesh bc they’re #couplegoals and they’re just admiring each other while they dance. and quinner isn’t the best with social cues so he doesn’t pick up on it right away, but then he sees you’re sad and asks you to dance with him and then you two are adorable together. and the other guys ask some girls to dance, and guess who ends up coming back to the hotel with us that night lmao

next dayyyyy

oooh yes going to see the greek ruins, and there are a tonnn of alleys and stairs and stuff. so ofc you and ryan fall down them (and i by some miracle don’t). hehe you: ‘why tf am i always falling?’ him: ‘what about me tho lexi?’ you: ‘you’re a hockey player, it’s kind of in your job description’ and you guys keep fighting lmao, but ofc quinner helps you up 😍

and the chirpssss that would be going on all day lmaoooo ‘hey brigid, we heard you and jamie last night’ ‘oh fuck off, i saw a different girl come out of your room this morning cole. what are you doing, trying to go through every girl in mykonos by the time we leave?’

and then ofc sightseeing and taking lots of insta photos, and then we all go to get lunch together. imagine the people who have to serve our table, i feel sorry for them lol. and then we could just go back to the beach or smtg before dinner and then back to the hotel 😏

final thoughts

at some point lexi sees a really good tennis player and goes to get her picture taken and see if she can practice with them, and kesh and i being the good friends that we are chase after her to take the pictures lol. hehe and then lexi abandons us to go play tennis with them for the afternoon

Hello witches! Today I’m gonna talk about altars!

My altar is a very sacred space for me. When a sabbat arrives, I adorn my altar with crystals and herbs the are appropriate for the holiday. Some sects of Wicca tell you “this is how you should dress the altar”. But when you’re not pagan, how do you know how to decorate your altar?

I am not an authority on witchcraft but I’m going to talk about what works for me. Let’s start with my favourite part:

The area towards the back is dressed for my Lord and Lady. I have a red candle to symbolize Persephone and a black candle to symbolize Hades. For Persephone, there is a pomegranate box that I sometimes pour offerings into, a soapstone ram, and a card depicting a pomegranate. For Hades, there is a skull candle, two bracelets, and a tourmaline bat. For them both, there is a card from Lore Olympus. While the Gods I worship are very different from their Lore Olympus counterparts, I still decided to leave the card as an offering.

In the center of my altar, I always keep a little dish that holds a votive and herbs. The color of the votive changes with the season, my intention, or my mood. The herbs present right now is a blend that I created just for the dish. A blend with a pleasing scent that I will powder and turn to incense eventually.

I keep my chalice on the altar, as well as a Celtic coin. I have just started to work with Celtic gods, namely Brigid, so I have a small acknowledgment to the pantheon, but no dedication yet. The back of the coin reads “may your purse be heavy and your heart be light”.

I keep my onyx athame on the altar. I typically use it for circle casting. The combination of crystals placed on the altar are chosen by what felt right. The current purpose of my altar is to serve me, so the placement of most items is based on where I felt it belonged. The jar of water was collected during the recent new moon. It is on my altar for now but will be used in an upcoming project of mine.

For a pagan, there’s not really a wrong way to set up your altar. You can base yours off of Wiccans or other people’s ideas, but it will always be more authentic if it comes from you. Your altar should be set up in a way that’s pleasing to you and will best serve you in your craft.

Inside, there was a bracelet that she made herself after visiting the town. The beautiful stones that matched the other's eyes and tattoos, a beautiful shining example of how much she adored her. She didn't think any money would be enough for her gift.

Your WoL’s Leveling Gear

So I’m behind as hell (yay whatever the fuck I just dealt with this past weekend) which means I’m gonna slap things on one post for a bit to cut down on dash spam. I will be using cuts but if they show up on mobile is... anyone’s guess really. #Tumblr is a functioning website, as one of my friends has as a tag.

Bri likes to glam her clothes, so while you’re seeing the Thavnairian Wool Autumn Dress, a pair of daggers, and a yellow rose, she’s really wearing the Scavean Gear and the Raksha gear, including the daggers. The earrings are the Lapis Earrings and the necklace is the Nomad’s Choker of Aiming.

Will still isn’t out of ARR (we’re on the Believe in Your Sylph quest right now) nor do I have a functional glam for him yet, so I just went marketboard hunting for what he’d likely wear.

Ring 2: Azurite Ring of Aiming (Himself)

Arthur isn’t out of Heavensward yet! (If you’re on Crystal and want a bonus for all of Binding Coil, let me know because I really need to run that before Alisaie gets mad at me.) So under this he’s wearing the Hailstorm Caster’s gear, which he finds far too tight and looks much better on his sister, thank you very much. He likes the book though. The book is nice. His main glam is the Riviera Shirt, Hyuran Boots, and whatever for the rest.

The earrings are the Platinum Earrings of Healing and ICly were his inheritance from his mother. He got his ears pierced specifically to wear them and never takes them out (unless he hands them directly to Matsu, because he’s the responsible one of the boyfriends).

         Petra recognizes authentic handiwork when she sees it. She had her fair share of experience making clothing and jewelry in Brigid... While trade was a big draw once Empire influence began, much of what they owned was made by hand. This isn’t to say there was very little --- truly, a Brigid noble’s possessions could easily rival one from Fódlan... But often there were a great deal of memories attached to each item, either from the gift-giver or... The process of making it oneself. But for once... Petra looks at the bracelet and doesn’t feel a pang of homesickness --- doesn’t find herself practically looking for reasons to miss Brigid any more strongly than she already does. She looks at this bracelet and sees how diligently Hilda worked to make it aesthetically pleasing --- it even complements her outfit quite nicely !  She looks at this bracelet and sees... A very kind gesture from a dear classmate.
