oh?? what happened :( i haven’t followed btr as closely lately

Carlos and his wife, Alexa, are Trump supporters. Carlos isn’t really vocal about it, and I don’t think he’s ever actually said it, but they’ve talked about being conservatives before. But it’s evident by the posts that they like (both on Instagram and Twitter) that they support Trump and the Republican party. Alexa is also very vocal about being pro-life and anti-vaxx, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Carlos was too. Their best friend (I believe his name is Andrew Mortaza) also happens to be someone who is very public about his support for Trump and he has posted some pretty horrible and harmful posts on Instagram – some of which they’ve liked.

James posted a video on his Instagram story a few hours ago, which pretty much said that the lives of Israelis are more valuable than those of Palestinians. And he has also done some other questionable things in the past that I frankly don’t agree with.

I honestly just got tired of them both and unfollowed them. It’s so disappointing, because Big Time Rush got me through a lot, but it doesn’t feel right for me to follow people who believe in things like that, especially when said “beliefs” and opinions are hurting others.

Honestly, the song is so good, and earlier this year they asked what songs of theirs were missing in which countries, Paralyzed started immediately trending and then they didn’t release it, so I was expecting something. The news made mereally happy too!

We all know that your elevator doesn't always go to the top floor but please stop with this Russian bullshite. Every model you build now is promoting Russian manufactures . Some of these money goes to Russian military and no I will not tolerate that BS especially when few days after war started she tried to make a serious beef when Anna posted a picture of her with Minibase 1/48 Su-33. Dasha made a post not her Facebook, not on her Instagram but Russian social media "telegram" or whatever its called that Anna is promoting Russian aircraft that is bombing Ukraine while at the same time she played stupid on her YT channel denying any knowledge about the war when her subscribers asked her in comment section of her videos. She called out us for hypocrisy. Anna actually didn't even know that this model is Russian and bombing Ukraine as most girls have no knowledge about military equipment and when Dasha attacked her in DM Anna apologised and said she didn't know but Dasha didn't take made a post on the telegram with these stupid allegations while at the same time again she said she won't promote models from Ukrainian manufacturer "Miniart" because "their money goes to drones that navigate Ukrainian artillery to target Russian tanks".. yeah.. she also made a stupid post on telegram with kind of an outrage that 2 models of Ukrainian BTR-4 are coming out this year (miniart 1/35 and ibg models 1/72!) So all that bs and how bad Anna was posting picture of SU-33 Aircraft kit (made by Chinese manufacturer) while building shit loads of russian made models of russian vehicles painting them with Russian paints.. and who is hypocritical now? And after i months since Anna posted a picture of that kit (it was really in the first days of war and Anna deleted it within few hours) Dasha has audacity to share that screenshot now with the caption " first we hate the war, then we build a fighter that bombs ukraine".. Well, we didn't even build it, we sold that model out you ignorant, hypocritical, pro Russian, one fry short of a happy meal, a few beers short of a six pack, clogged chimney, forgot to pay brain bill silly woman. I refused to like them when "What Makes You Beautiful" came out because it was played so much i hated it but one of my friends at church said he'd listen go Weird Al if I gave 1D a chance

I did have a crush on Zayn.

My boyband of choice at that time was a tie between BTR and The Wanted (RIP Tom 💔).

So I went home and YouTubed a few of 1D's songs. Fell into the hole of their X-Factor clips.

Fell in love with Louis' humor.

This was RIGHT before I fell in love with Paul McCartney - summer of 2012 - so there is an alternate timeline where Louis Tomlinson became the love of my life

I wrote my 1D fic Can We Fall One More Time? and posted it on Wattpad

Never really liked Harry he was always my least favorite

But I did LIGHTLY ship Stylson or however you spell the Harry/Louis ship

PLOTTED a Liam baby daddy fic that I don't think I ever ended up posting which is probably my most embarrassing fic - and I wrote a Three Stooges fic

AND THEN the great Directioner v. Beatlemaniacs war of 2013 or 2014 on Instagram happened.

I had been a Beatles fan my whole life despite not falling for Paul since 2012. So that is where my loyalties lied.

And that is what ultimately killed my vibe for 1D. Because their fans were so annoying and unpleasant.

And that is actually the biggest reason I stopped participating in fandom culture for the most part.

ALLY MET BIG TIME RUSH

it was something my 14-year-old me dreamed of when i created this blog like 10 years ago.

after falling in love with them again and their reunion i was lucky enough to get tickets for the show in new york!!

and i was insane enough to fly from germany to new york on my own for this.

here is how it went:

after meeting my international twitter besties we went to the pop up store they did for their merch on Friday. it was very fucking chaotic and BTR ended up walking down the line to meet everyone instead of sitting inside the store.

That's when this iconic moment happened:

yup that's Logan and me having an intense moment of eye contact. I was wearing his merchandise and he noticed that what lead him to stop a second and touch my shoulder (with the hand tat hand i am obsessed with) and he asked me if I was okay. I somehow managed to tell him I was okay in a very high pitched voice I've never heard myself in but in the whole video you can see me losing my shit right after he walked away lmao. 11/10 experience. Also btw their manager took so many videos of the line and everything and Carlos had his Vlogging Camera with him and filmed us we are waiting for that Vlog!!

On the same day we went to Stephen Glickman's aka Gustavo's show and it was....something. After us losing it over him singing the climb from Miley Cyrus and singing multiple other songs and he dedicated Worldwide to Morgan/our whole table. Victoria took a video of us laughing and singing and posted it on Instagram, later stephen reposted that video to all his socials so we are famous now lmao.

ANYWAYS it was finally Saturday, concert day. Simmi and my hotel room was on the 25th floor right above the back entry/artist entry of the venue BTR would play in so it was fun to see the truck and everything through the whole day. After getting inside for the VIP thing I noticed that there are only 3 stools on stage, a lil later their manager came up and explained to us that Kendall tested positive for Covid but luckily the other 3 guys didn't and Kendall is fine. Was a bummer and I missed Kendall but spoiler: Logan, James, and Carlos KILLED it on stage, I couldn't be any more proud.

After I almost died from excitement in line this finally happened:

they were literally the sweetest human and I had the best experience with them. I was really nervous (still proud of myself that I managed to properly talk to them since english isn't even my first language lol) which they noticed but they tried to comfort me a little. When i said I came from Germany for this they were so happy and James asked me like 3 times which city exactly i am from and trust me I was never happier about someone saying "Osnabruck" lmao. Logan then complimented me once again about the hoodie i wore (his merch, once again lol), he remembered me from the day before which was really cute. For the picture I had to ask Carlos if I could be next to Logan please and of cause he moved but then he was like "you know what I love you James" and then they hugged extra tight LOOK AT THEM. At the end they all told me "i love you" in german and I almost died walking out. I managed to tell Logan that I think his hand tattoo is cool asf so my username on twt "loganhandertat" is well deserved at this point lmao.

After that they made a soundcheck, did some acoustic songs and answered a few questions. We were in the 2nd/3rd row right in the middle and it was such an unreal experience.

My GA ticket was for balcony 2 but after the VIP experience ended no one cared about getting us in the right places so just kept our places lol. For the concert many people from the balconies went to the floor bc no security checked anything and all floors were connected with like 10 stairs so lol.

We experienced the whole concert from the 2nd/3rd row, the boys looked at us multiple times and I'm not lying if I say that I had the time of my life.

I already "spoilered" this at the beginning of this post, but these 3 guys KILLED IT on stage it was such a good show!!

My personal year 2021 was one of the worst years in my life, that's why I kinda treated myself at the end of this year with this trip to New York. Honestly, it saved my whole fucking year. I met the best people in NY and had a BLAST, I'll def be back in 2022 ♥

It's really crazy that Big Time Rush was my comfort place when I went through hell and back in puberty and in this shitty year for me they came back and cheered me up once again. I'm so happy about their reunion and them basically saying fuck you nickelodeon and doing what they want in a much more mature way. Incredibly thankful for being a part of this and all the friends I met this year.

The best is yet to come!

Now, Taylor’s music suggests her and Liz got back together and broke up a bunch of times. It’s kind of hard to pinpoint that exactly, since they’re on tour together constantly and can’t really have a break from each other that would be discernable by an outside source such as myself. 16 August 2011 - Taylor goes on a Girls Trip to Charleston with Liz, Caitlin, and a few other friends. Now, in a birthday post years down the line, Liz would reveal that Taylor specifically planned this trip because Liz was having a good time (We’ll get there in Late-Stage TayLiz). This feels like healing breakup blues to me.

It’s worth noting that Liz also grew up in the LA area, making this even more special if it is about Liz.

5 September 2011 - Taylor and Dianna Agron meet for the first time at the Fairfax Flea Market after being introduced by mutual friend, Ashley, who was working for Dianna’s hairstylist at the time. Dianna had lowkey outed herself that summer with #Shirtgate and considering all the mess going on with Liz, it’s possible Ashley (among Taylor’s other friends) were looking to introduce her to someone else.

8 September 2011 - Taylor diaries about writing Red the previous day and then recording it:

In a later interview, Taylor described Red like this:

“So this is a song that I wrote about the kind of relationship that is both the best thing and the worst thing at the same time and that’s why you can’t forget about it. It’s called Red.”

So, I have a two big theories about Taylor writing and recording Red at this point in the timeline:

1) TayLiz have IMMEDIATELY broken up again after the Charleston trip, and that’s why a mutual friend decided to introduce Taylor to Dianna.

2) Taylor and Liz are about to get back together again, and Taylor writes Red as a way of looking back on what she had with Liz back in 2009 before diving into a relationship with her again.

I’m leaning towards 2, but 1 could be true too. Who knows?

13 September 2011 - Rodarte show at NY Fashion Week. Taylor is interviewed by Vogue while there. She says there’s “just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash and burn heartbreak” and that that’s what the next album is about. This really makes me think TayLiz breaks up IMMEDIATELY again after Charleston.

Taylor also gives these four things she’s learned about love and life recently:

16 September 2011 - Speak Now in Nashville. Taylor brings out Hayley as a special guest, they sing “That’s What You Get.” Hayley would later say she was surprised Taylor didn’t ask for Misery Business as That’s What You Get wasn’t one of their more popular songs at the time. (Keep in mind this is the song TayLiz jammed to years ago at the Paramore concert):

This song makes me think there’s a lot of back and forth happening between TayLiz right now if we look at it lyrically. However, things could be great in TayLiz land and Taylor just chose to perform this song because she knew Liz liked it.

19 September 2011 - Liz performs Jenny Turn Around with Tyler Hilton after Speak Now in Nashville. Tyler tells a story about how he went to the TS concert just before and Taylor had said that her and Liz both really love this song.

29 September 2011 - Liz tweets about crying to the song “The Heart Won’t Lie” by Vince Gill.

And thus, the back and forth continues.

16 October 2011 - Taylor recommends Liz’s YouTube channel and she gets an influx of subscribers:

This usually signifies there’s a lot going on for her emotionally, although it’s hard to tell what since we don’t know which songs these are. (My best guess might be Treacherous??)

To me, this plus the dress train pictures reads as Taylor’s reaction to Emily getting married the following day.

1 December 2011 - Taylor shoots her vogue cover where she cuts her bangs at the Bowery Hotel. Her band (including Liz) comes to support her and her and Liz take a photo with their matching hair:

13 December 2011 - Taylor’s birthday. She’s recording something in the studio and posts a photo to tease the Red album (presumably she’s already titled it at this point).

IN CONCLUSION: After Taylor pursuing her all summer, and Liz’s breakup with Jason, TayLiz took off again. They (maybe) shared a bed during Charleston, and Taylor certainly seems to have covered Bette Davis Eyes with her in mind. Their relationship is a little less obvious than they were in 2009, but that makes sense, considering the way Taylor has skyrocketed in popularity since then. Of course, they still are going to have some problems...

@jatp-btr is a blog I started with @darlingsteveharrington to house crossover content between Julie and the Phantoms and Big Time Rush because we learned that a LOT of JATP fans are also BTR fans.

I haven’t seen or heard anything about JATP-BTS but if someone knows something about that, feel free to drop it in my ask box.

The JATP official Instagram account posted the last names today! So Alex Mercer and Reggie Peters are confirmed as canon.

Cheesecake war and ziscourse... Those are honestly their own long response so if you’re curious about those, let me know and I’ll be happy to explain to you, but otherwise run and save yourself from the chaos.
