Jikook Week 49 Complete (12/11-19/11/2024)

Their 49th week in the military is now complete. Today we are looking back at this week in 2019. On the 12/11, BTS headed to Helsinki to film the Winter Package 2020.

After arriving in Helsinki, they started filming with some friendly competitions and the formation of the teams that would explore the city together later. JK was paired with Namjoon, J-Hope, Jin and Jimin were the second team and Tae and Suga were the last team.

They then set about making snow globes each of which would be gifted later to another member whose name they had drawn from a Christmas sack. Here are the finished items.

Day Two - Their second day began with a shoot in the rain. I know this series of posts is all about Jikook but can we stop a moment to appreciate the peak fineness of Kim Namjoon here?

Deep breath while energetically fanning my face & back to Jikook.

What strikes me as I watch the filming of the Winter Package is that Jikook are rarely put in the same sub-unit for photos. If you just saw the pictures without the video you would never have a clue how behind the scenes they can always be found together.

In the first shoot we see them talking about how JK is filming what eventually became GCF Helsinki.

The 2nd location was a ski resort, and there, they are accompanying each others shoots and giggling as they dance together in the snow.

This was the first time JK had ever been to a ski resort...

....but it certainly wasn't the last.

That evening they wrote letters to ARMY. After a very long day filming, and being the beautiful soul that he is JK's emotions spilled out of him as he read his own extremely heartfelt letter. Jimin, JHope and Joon tried to make him feel better first by hugging him and second by changing the focus away from him to more comic things.

Day Three The next day BTS took the ferry to Suomenlinna for another photoshoot. Jimin was stunning with his grey hair and a long red coat.

Jungkook was also pleased to have his human hot water bottle on hand to warm up his hands.

This was followed by unit shoots at the hotel & on the magical night streets of Helsinki.

Day 4 was set aside for unit activities. JK and RM went to shoot at a park by the sea. Jimin went to a local market with Jin and JHope where he bought himself a fetching new winter hat.

Their last activity was an exchange of gifts in the local park. Presents were distributed as follows: Jk to Tae, Tae to RM, RM to Jin, Jin to Jimin, Jimin to Suga, Suga to JK, JHope to JHope.

On 16/11 BTS arrived back in Seoul. A busy but enjoyable few days for everyone concerned.

Gcf Tokyo is one thing but do you know the GCF that floored me? GCF in Saipan. I mean tbh, some people might be able to find ways to explain GCFT away but how do u explain the fact that Jungkook chose to footage of Jimin whenever the lyrics “i don’t lie no more, i don’t wanna fight no more, what i found in you is so real (2x) ima let you get the best of me” and it was just Jimin’s image that appeared everytime this lyrics came up.

I dunno but u can’t tell me Jk didn’t know what he was doing. Plus the way he videod Jimin. Jimin looked so beautiful and ethereal and the way Jk zoomed in on Jimin’s smile🥹😩. Someome commented and said “the person behind the camera must be in love with the little blond guy”. Stormy, even regular pple who don’t know bts watched that video and could feel the love. I don’t know what jikook have man, but i want what they have.

Actually my longest posts are about Osaka and Helsinki. Lol I think because Tokyo and Saipan feel so dang obvious to me I didn't feel the need to explain my reasons for my opinions on those ones as much I guess 😂

GCF as a series is everything to me. I'd kill for JK to give us more!

I don't know the movie you're watching it lmao I mean, I'm army and Jk always treats Tae with affection, and usually the vminkook relationship is based on Tae and Jimin trying to get Jungkook attention.... Jimin is not the center, it's Jungkook. Vmin are close but not close like taekook and jikook. Tae loves Jungkook and he is his favorite member, in fact he only spent time with Jungkook during the solo era.. and Jimin love Jungkook the most.

Roasting someone doesn't mean disliking someone?? Of course Jungkook treats V with affection. This is evident from when he called V. He "roasted" (i.e. teased) V by hanging up on him, but then sent him a cute, playful, and loving message. This is what me and anon meant... Jungkook and V are like two overgrown puppies together. There's a lot of good-natured teasing. They team up to tease Jimin too, like that time they threw him in the pool during Run BTS.

I don't agree with your take on their relationships. Jungkook and V are definitely close and hang out a lot, but you're neglecting the fact that they hung out with Hobi as well, that Jimin visited V in one of his music show promos and participated in his fanmeet, that Jimin and V left together earlier when OT7 met up for the first time during Jin's break, and that Jimin was really busy when Jungkook and V were free to meet up. Moreover,, we don't know everything they do. They don't tell us every time they hang out. Jikook are closer than Taekook and Vmin imo, but I don't see any evidence that Taekook are closer than Vmin. It's very debatable. Vmin video called each other a few times a month and it was Jimin who suggested calling V in Are You Sure...

Asserting that Jungkook is Tae's favorite member is bold. Hanging out with someone because your schedules align doesn't mean being the closest with that person. V is also incredibly close with Hobi. It's really between Hobi, Jungkook, and Jimin, but I see no conclusive answer pointing towards it being Jungkook.

Also, if anything, V and Jimin are the center of Vminkook. It's mostly Jimin, but sometimes Jikook team together to tease V. For example, when Jikook were in bed in the Helsinki Winter Package, V joined them and started rolling around on top of them, asking for attention, and Jikook induged V. The real maknae of the maknae line is V, but Jimin is often babied too. Jungkook mostly doesn't act like the youngest around Jimin or V.

The conversation that JK and Tae had in the show I mean happened on that day.

I agree, anon. You know what would be better? If there were no scripts at all, just some natural, spontaneous moments.

If it weren't for moments where the company and/or staff had actively separated 🐰 and 🐯 on-camera then the narrative that 🐰🐯 have become distant even in the span of a few months (because if I'm being honest, relationships can be quickly severed as much as they can be forged in a short amount of time) would actually be quite convincing considering that two people who have a closely knitted bond have suddenly become cold and distant with each other.

But we have. We Taekookers have witnessed those moments since 2015. Not only that but moments off the company camera and/or behind the scenes say otherwise. We don't call taekook moments 144p Microwave Content for nothing 🤷‍♂️ The Distant Taekook narrative will never make sense to me, and as a 2016 ARMY and Taekooker... well... trenches, man.

It still baffles me that to this day, BH would still use tactics such as mistranslating English subtitles and putting strange, out-of-place cuts on their shows (take for instance the preview for Are You Sure: Jeju Island Trip)

I'd love to know your thoughts on member dynamics during any Jikook dust ups over the years. Note: I believe Jimin is the original OT7er, and I agree with you that he probably put the group's needs ahead of their relationship. Every relationship has growing pains, though. Anyway, I tend to think Tae would side with whoever he thought was right in that moment. He definitely didn't like JK's tendency to be possessive of Jimin's time, in my opinion, and I think all the members probably checked JK on that at some point. I flip back and forth with Hobi b/c I think he's a peacemaker and probably wouldn't take sides. I'm not sure about Namjoon and Jin. Namjoon, being leader, I don't think he'd pick sides, but he did push back on JK's possessiveness in terms of skinship. I think Suga wouldn't give a flip.

Added bonus: this edit which I find funny though I haven't seen the original interaction to see where the creator took liberties, if any. I've seen Tkkrs use this clip as a "hey, Taekook approves of Yoonmin" moment, but, LOL, how? To me it reads more like Tae acting as a Jeon satellite assistant moment. Anyway, it's a cute edit. Tarheeeeeeel. This is one hell of a question. But since you didn't say a break up i think it's quite easy. I believe all the members would listen to both sides and support the one they think is right. It wouldn't be about Jimin or JK it would be about reason. I think the Tannies are adult and mature enough to do this. So that's my answer. They would go by logic. And I can see RM and Jhope not even picking sides but rather talking to them and trying to get to the root of the issue.

So All would go by logic.

Except Suga.

Listen. Yoonkook are not close. ����🤭 How many ships are there in BTS? 22? 24? And out of all of them I would put Yoonkook at the bottom. Whatever number is last that's where I'm putting Yoonkook.

But yeah. If I was to rate JK's ships I would put Yoonkook last. If we thought tkk was boring as a unit what about ykk? We all watched Irish bomb, come on now. There ain't no chemistry there either. This TT i shared here i would swap Tkk for Ykk. I mean, we talked about GCF Helsinki and Suga is the only one who remained dull and uncoloured.

And you know what? I don't blame JK. If someone kept looking at my boyfriend's ass and drooling over him plus checking him out when he showed a little skin, he wouldn't be my favourite member either. 🤷🏽‍♀️

So that's which side members are taking when Jikook fight or argue. I wanna talk about if God forbid there was a break up. Simply because I wanna hear what you guys think also.

So if Jikook were over (not gonna happen but if they were) and it wasn't amicable and members were forced to choose sides,

Let's start from the top. Who gets RM during the divorce? What do we know about RM and Jikook? We know Jimin is his confidant. We know he goes to Jimin when he's stuck and doesn't know the way forward. We know he and Jimin are always having heavy in depth talks and Jimin is always there for him. So I think Jimin gets RM during the divorce. Minimoni are legit.

Jin. We know after Jimin, JK is closest to Jin. The oldest member basically raised him. JK is Jin's baby y'all.❤ Tom and Jerry, they get along splendidly and there is never a dull moment when Jinkook are together. Even though Jimin has been there for Jin emotionally too, I personally think JK gets Jin in the divorce.

Suga. Do I need to say it? 😂😂 This dude is a no brainer. Of course Jimin gets Suga during the divorce.

Jhope. Another no brainer. This is Jimin's person. His best friend. His soulmate. His roommate for life. He knows where all the bodies are buried, Jimin trusts him explicitly. When JK messes up Jhope cannot wait to tell Jimin so yeah, I think we know who's side he would be on. 😂

Last but not least, V. Hmm... Kim Taehyung is a wild card. With him,

If you had asked me this before recent developments, I would have said Jimin gets V in the divorce. Easy. But now? Now Idk. He could be team Jimin, could be team JK, could refuse to pick a side and go wooga squad away. Who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️ As it stands I just dk who V would choose. Would love to hear y'alls thoughts though...

Jikook Week 8 Complete ✔️(30/01/24 - 06/02/2024)

Their eighth week in the military is now complete. It's time to celebrate this milestone with a look back at this week in 2020.

BTS was in Phase 2 of their Map of the Soul 7 comeback......

...starting with the first single release Black Swan on 17th January.

They flew to the US on the 18/01/2020....

..where they performed Old Town Road with Lil Nas X at the Grammys on 26/01/2020.

During the week 30/01 to 06/02 they were still in the US and doing the rounds of the talk shows. These videos of them at iHeart Radio came out on the 01/02 and 06/02.

Everyone was in high spirits excited about the release of the album and the Map of the Soul tour which we now know was not to be. They returned to South Korea the next week on 10/02/20.

On 30th January, BTS released the 2020 Winter Package in Helsinki with all these amazing Jikook photos. I've also included JK's GCF Helsinki which was released at the end of December 2019.

Week 38 (2024) updates:

Stared a new wip and wrote 3.3k, first time writing SHINee! Also in my bts/skz/svt magical universe because it was bound to happen. Minkey vampire/werewolf action.

Wrote three spilled thoughts post, one about coming home after my 15 day trip to South Korea, one about my old dagger who's carrying a momentum of my late granddad and one about attending KEY's concert in Seoul.

And I journalled every day

Total words: 8.9k

Getting back into the swing of things! I returned home from my trip on Monday morning, but then I did also spend a day and a half in Helsinki mid-week to see DnP. But I've started a new wip and I'm excited about it! Also back to spilling thoughts again. Felt good to be writing and creating again.

i tend to go from 93% to 98% depending on the country (on my own country i'm at 97%). it's mostly due to the huge amount of OSTs i listen to, sprinkled with some old english bands. my most popular stuff is Charli XCX, Mitski, Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan, that, although very famous here on the internet and with Gen Z, you may very easily find someone who hasn't heard of any of them. they're not as universal as, say, BTS or Taylor Swift, as evidenced by the fact they're stuck with only 4 stars rather than 5.

also, if you look at the songs themselves, the Olivia Rodrigo ones are only 3 stars, so they tend to be the less-famousy ones, with most of them having no stars whatsoever.

oohh very interesting!! I also went back and switched the country to US and the rating popped up to 86 and in the UK it was 88s, so it seems like obscurity is quite relative.

I listen to a lot of classics like fleetwood mac and the talking heads (who were listed as my top artists of all time), and this actually reminds me of a story. my student association was organising a party, and per tradition we were putting together a band that plays live music at the event. I had been in the band years prior and wanted to be on again, but that year no one else signed up but me and these guys who already had a band of their own together.

so, the guys had already chosen a lot of songs to play and were asking me what I'd like to play and sing. they said the music had to be "mainstream" so people would know it and dance at the party. what ensued was my long list of suggestions getting denied even though I thought the songs I recommended were stuff most people know, like fleetwood mac and coldplay.

what I eventually got through was fernando by ABBA and teenagers by MCR but I eventually dropped out altogether because I thought it was so lame they had already picked out most of the songs and I was not invited to partake in them. and to be fair, the songs really were stuff that was mainstream in finland (for those who mind be interested, haloo helsinki and olavi uusivirta and such), which I also found to be garbage honestly LMAOOOO

week one hundred and seventy two

i arrived to korea on thursday. the flight went surprisingly well? i even bought anxiety meds beforehand thinking i was gonna crash out during the whole thing but it went so well? i'm so proud of myself. i treated myself a plushie at the moomin store at the helsinki airport so sniff (not sure if he's called that in english too but my internet is ass so i can't be bother to google it) was my emotional support (and head rest) for the flight. i was lucky with my seat too. i got a window seat and the seat between me and the other girl was empty so we both had more space to sit comfortably. she was so nice. she lost her phone at some point so i helped her look for it a little until she came back super happy and went "i found it!!!". she had a sick leopard print coat.

we got scammed by some taxi driver at the airport and then we just rested at the hotel all day after that. my jetlag wasn't that bad and it's completely gone now which is nice. a's is bad still though. she's nice and she has good taste in youtubers. we've been watching some smosh and jenna marbles together over meals. one problem i'm having with her is that she's so tired all the time we can never go out for too long before she wants to go home. i mean i understand that the jetlag is bad so i'll let it slide for now. we visisted the starfield mall in gangnam on saturday but apparently she doesn't like shopping so i'll have to go by myself sometime and look through thoroughly.

i got some stickers for m at work and then i got a schampoo and conditioner at lush. i got the tofu schampoo and valkyrie conditioner because the worker said they compliment each other. the worker was sooooooooooo cool. and cute. he had a cunty little labret piercing. i ate it uuuuuuup. they're very pushy or whatever you should call it in swedish lushes but this was next level. the second we walked in he started showing us body sprays and making us smell multiple ones. i mean... i didn't mind talking to him ehehe. he first made us smell sticky dates and i was like "oh, sitcky dates!" and he seemed happy i knew it haha. i'm delusional... anyways, then my friend eventually told him i was looking for schampoo so he walked over to the schampoo table and showed a bunch of stuff and a then also mentioned i have curly hair so he started looking for a specific one. he then pulled up papago and asked if i wanted the schampoo to straighten my hair or volumize my curls to which i said i wanted it to volumize them. he then recommended tofu. then he continued talking about the conditioners and his coworker joined in and she asked why i was buying the smaller sizes and i explained i'm only here for four months so i don't need the bigger ones but she then recommended i'd get the bigger conditioner at least... which i did but like... i use more schampoo than conditioner TT like conditioner is easier to spread out the lengths than what schampoo is to make it lather up all around my scalp. it's fineeeee.

anyways, continue, she asked me if i liked bts because she saw my mang on my bag. i didn't really know what to say because like yeah? but not really anymore? i just said i used to like them a lot but now i mostly just keep the keychain because i think it's cute. i was just about to pay when the pierced cutie came back and he was like "wait, try this hand lotion!" and showed a small plop of cream on his finger and he reached for my hand so i removed my glove and he started massaging the cream in my hand LIKE DUUUUUUUUUUUDE. they don't do all of this in sweden like are all korean lushes this intimate... but i wanna let all the gods know i'm extremely thankful for letting this gorgeousgorgeous lush man with his cunty little lip piercing and monochrome black work outfit massage the orange blossom scented hand lotion into my left hand for many many seconds. i will think about him at my wedding and sigh.

other than that we haven't really left the mogdong area where our hotel is. we've been to a few convenience stores and we've been to mcdonald's twice. our second day here we tried finding a true korean restaurant but it was so incredibly hard to find somewhere where they had literally ANYTHING without meat in it on the menu. even at mcdonald's i have to eat a pattyless burger. the first and only time i've had a meal containing protein since i got here was on saturday when we found a plant-based restaurant by accident in the starfield mall where i got a mushroom alfredo. so no real korean food yet apart from a couple of triangle gimbabs.
