tfp idea, or in which the autobots find starscream with a hissy, squrimy beastformer sparklings (preferably a dromeosaurs of some kind), and get shock that starscream is actually very soft and good with babies.
(Okay, this is the initial scene where a few 'bots + Miko meets Starscream and his dinos. Do they agree with his methods? No. Is it effective and far less traumatizing than it could go? Definitely.
So the babies are babies to Cybertronians. Weird ones but still babies. But absolutely huge compared to humans. )
"Hey, guys, you're not going to believe what I found!"
______
Miko was perched upon Bulkhead’s shoulder, watching the epic battle between two metal mini-behemoths. A crocodilian and a raptor circled each other in the dirt. The raptor’s tail twitched, the long panels lining it and along its arms rippled and fanned in a strange amalgamation between feathers and scales. The crocodile rumbled in response, slower than its nimble opponent but far heavier as they were engaged in the ancient art of tug-of-war.
The oil drum between them groaned in protest, bending out of shape from the pressure.
"Scree!" Even across the empty field, the cry was absolutely ear-piercing as the reluctantly coaxed patient squirmed in Starscream’s grip and upon the makeshift medical station of a flattened boulder.
“Hush now. It’s a check-up. It won’t hurt.” It was hard to believe that not only Starscream went rogue, but somehow, someway became a daddy to dinos, but even as a witness, she never thought the Decepticon could have an almost gentle tone.
“Scree!”
“Must you hover us?” Ratchet was curt, hands trying to reach over.
“My hovering, as you put it, is the only thing keeping your servos whole and not a chew toy.” Starscream snapped. Despite the warnings of Decepticon lies, Miko absolutely believed him. That may be the shortest Cybertronian she’d seen, limbs rounded and armor far more simple than the others, even the horns were stubby upon the small helm with the longer set curving over a chubby face, but in the distance, Miko could spot the jutted and jagged fangs out of that mouth and the intense, slitted stare on Ratchet’s hands.
At that point, the barrel gave up and tore apart, bleeding chunks of Energon crystals, which the metal dinosaur babies, Miko had no other way to detail them, began to wolf down.
Ratchet immediately pressed his advantage when the dragon kid’s gaze turned away.
This, Miko firmly thought, was the coolest student exchange ever.
___________
Ratchet found the ports along the sparkling’s neck, digits jacking into them, and her struggles died as he used medical overrides to access everything.
If she didn’t like him before, then this cemented it.
“Sta-scree!” Her mouth was crowded by denta and it caused a lisp, but that word was definitely understandable as she utterly tried to reject Ratchet and dug deep into Starscream’s EM field, frightened and angry.
The other two sparklings heard the fear and immediately abandoned the treats, but partway through the charge, their energy flagged as they both dropped to the ground.
“Right on schedule,” Starscream commented.
“You drugged them!?” Ratchet hounded, even as he brought up the sparkling’s firewalls and anti-virals and scanned her entire systems, looking for damage from the insistent diet of raw crystals and ores. Surprisingly, nothing.
“I wasn’t going to let your troops bumble into my hideout, and you weren’t going let me into your base.” Starscream hissed back, wingspan flaring, even as his field twanged and curled over the distressed sparkling, trying to soothe her from the first medical check up- a real one, at least. “This was the compromise I could come up with at short notice. Tempest understands. The other two? Not so much. So they can have a full tank and a short nap or reinforced muzzles and inhibitor collars, and only one of those options is acceptable to me.”
As much as it galled him, the flyer was right. These three were unlike any sparklings Ratchet had treated: highly mobile in their alt-modes and capable of using their provided weaponry. It may not be transformative systems of blasters and swords, but Bulkhead could testify to the crocodile’s powerful bite force as it tried to wrestle the toy away and they’ve seen the raptor’s use of its large, deadly talon on its strange pede as it gouged trees, rockfaces, and steel.
The sparklings he was used to were far more dependent on caretakers and slow to develop their systems and frames.
Tempest sniffled between them, and their standoff was interrupted by the all-clear and completed updates he received.
“With the limitations you had, she needed only minor updates and is fully functional.” It wasn’t an apology, but it was close enough and Starscream tensely nodded.
“Get ready to step away when you disengage.”
The moment he released her systems, Ratchet immediately backed up, just in time for that serrated denta to miss him. Tempest hissed and transformed back into her Predacon alt-mode, darting to Starscream’s side with her wingspan raised high and wide, pink optics blazing.
First visits were always the worst. Hopefully, the other two would stay asleep.

Transformers: Mosaic #246 - "Can It Get Any Worse?"
Originally posted on September 15th, 2008
Story, Art - Sarabeth Collins
deviantART | TFW2005 | BotTalk
wada sez: A little look at Wasp’s inner life. Wasp was a foil to Bumblebee, based on (and ultimately being mutated into) Waspinator, introduced in “Autoboot Camp”, which this strip is a prequel to. Wasp’s eyes are seen slowly morphing from their original Autobot blue to his trademark purple. The blue robot looks like an Animated version of Glyph, predating her official design by Brianne Drouhard. See below the break for Collins’ original script.
TRANSFORMERS: MOSAIC ANIMATED< "CAN IT GET ANY WORSE?" Featuring: WASP (Secondaries: Glyph, Ironhide, Beachcomber, Bumper, Bumblebee, Sentinel Minor (LOL), Cliffjumper, Longarm (shadow)...all secondaries are silent parts and for the most part are small background characters) Writer/Lineartist/Colorist: Sarabeth Collins (bloodandsteel) (I know, I'm just asking to glitch LOL) Summary: WASP learns the hard way that even though you work hard and strive for perfection, you don't always come out on top... ----------------- PANEL 1 [All we see is Wasp sitting on the floor rocking back and forth alone in his cell. At this time, his optics are not as purple as seen in "Autoboot Camp" but are not quite blue anymore. He cell is dimly lit by the force-field bars...] WASP: (mumbling to himself) Wasp not know what went wrong. Wasp was doing good. Wasp was praised. Wasp followed the rules... WASP: [thoughts narrative] Why have things always been so hard for me? PANEL 2 [We see Wasp as he was many many stellar cycles ago working in a warehouse with Beachcomber and Bumper in the background. He's struggling to carry a heavy load around (moving toward "camera").] WASP: [thoughts narrative] I've always had to work hard to get what I had. I never backed down from a challenge... [half-panel, Wasp is being helped up by Bumper while Beachcomber picks up the part he had dropped.] WASP: [thoughts narrative] No matter how often I failed... PANEL 3 [Wasp and Glyph are studying for what we can assume are Autobot Academy entrance exams. Wasp looks incredibly frustrated while Glyph seems to try to calm him down.] WASP: [thoughts narrative] It always seemed like I just wasn't good enough. I had to be faster,  smarter than everyone else to get by. Being so small didn't help, but I had friends... WASP: [thoughts narrative] Even if I wasn't always easy to get along with. PANEL 4 [We see Wasp as he was at boot camp with Ironhide and Bumblebee. Bumblebee is looking at Wasp warily as he and Ironhide walk by him.] WASP: [thoughts narrative] I managed. I wanted to be an officer with the Elite guard. I'd worked so hard to get there. I felt like my luck had changed. My talents were appreciated by the higher-ups... WASP: [thoughts narrative] ...But it seems like something always goes wrong. PANEL 5 [Wasp is being arrested by Sentinel Minor (LOL) and Cliffjumper. Panel split in three smaller segments. First, Wasp is protesting as he's taken away. Second, close up on Bee's face. Third, close up as Wasp sneers at Bee.] WASP: You can't do this to me! I was framed! WASP: [thoughts narrative, second panel segment] I was framed... WASP: [thoughts narrative, third panel segment] I'll never forgive you, Bumblebee...NEVER! PANEL 6 [Back in his cell, just before his "escape", someone is approaching from down the hall, barely seen in the shadows. It's Longarm/Shockwave.] WASP: [thoughts narrative] Never forgive... WASP: Never forgive....Bumble....bot.... PANEL 7 [Close-up on Wasp's surprised face (looking up, one eye wider than the other), overshadowed by what appears to be Shockwave's silhouette, a red glow from his one eye shining off of Wasp's head and Wasp's eyes are a darker purple than before.] WASP: [thoughts narrative] It's been rough, locked away here all alone. I think I'm going mad. Everything I worked for, gone... WASP: [thoughts narrative] Can it get any worse? SHOCKWAVE: I have a proposition for you...One that I'm certain you'll very much enjoy. WASP: Wasp is...listening... To Be Continued...(in the episode "Autoboot Camp")

I thank tumblr for having a bad to nonexistent ad algorithm. I know this because it’s sending me, an aroace, ads for “Magnet: Dating Game and Chat” with the sentence starter “I am interested in” followed by three rectangles that appear to be buttons labeled “men” “women” and “all” in that order.

TF136: The Main Autobots
Optimus’ main squadron by the time things kick off on Earth.
Optimus Prime: I have a lot of thoughts about him, so I’m gonna save them for another post.
The rest of the team below:
Bumblebee: A Scout bot, one of the last Forged before the cooling of Cybertron’s natural hotspots and the Great War. His life was dictated by rapidly oscillating luck. He ended up on the Autobot side by random chance, had a bit of a terrible time during boot camp, gaining the name “Bumble” via his klutziness, but ended up sniffing out a spy feeding information to the Cons. Assigned as a scout, with his luck both getting him into and out of several close scrapes, which both honed his fighting prowess and cost him his voice box, the psychological trauma of the event leaving a physical mark via ‘scarred’ sentio metallico around his throat.
First Autobot to awaken on Earth, and the one responsible for scouting out Earth, during which he would become well acquainted with human pop culture. Befriended several humans, including Charlie Watson, Spike Witwicky, & Raf Esquivel. Unofficial ambassador to Earth & S7, eventually forms his own team, partially because he’s the only Autobot Grimlock’s willing to follow.
- Fun loving, best at connecting with humans, always eager to learn something new, kinda smug that he gets to teach all these older bots human culture, often asks himself what Optimus would do. One of the fiercest & most inventive fighters in the Autobot ranks, capable of going servo to servo with dedicated warrior bots.
Arcee: Optimus’ second in command and a bot of many hats. Forged in the Darklands during the Functionist regime, she spent her early life as a courier, delivering messages and providing security escort across the vast distances of Cybertron’s hostile wilderness. Possessed of a thirst for knowledge and a knack for violence, Arcee would find herself competing in the Gladiator pits, where she’d become acquainted with Megatron, and Orion Pax through him, joining their Decepticon movement in short order.
Following the revolution, she’d shift careers to teaching Sparklings, but would begin to chafe under the increasing changes to curriculum to discard more impartial narratives in favour of increasing levels of propaganda. This would culminate in joining Optimus and other members of the Decepticon Leadership who would found the Autobots during the Declaration of Autonomy, serving as one of Optimus’ top commanders during the conflict, including spearheading a commando unit that would include Springer and Hot Rod among their members.
- Stern, maternal, always interested in learning new things and with a hatred of authoritarianism and misinformation. A devil in a fight who’s gone multiple rounds with some of the Decepticon’s heaviest hitters, including Megatron himself and a rumoured encounter with Overlord. Quickly forges a connection with Sari Sumdac.
Bulkhead: A Construction worker Cold-built in the waning days of Functionism, Bulkhead joined the Decepticon Revolution as soon as he realized he wanted to do more than just construct. He found his niche in engineering, especially that of Spacebridges, with a nice side gig making art.
Stayed with the Decepticons during the opening stages with the conflict, but soon found himself uncomfortable with their extreme xenophobia, especially when he ended up in the Con’s black market for organic made goods and art. I mean, nothing that could make stuff this beautiful was totally worthless, right? Ultimately, this would culminate in him turning over control over a crucial Spacebridge as a token of defection. Ratchet, the CO of the Autobot forces present, took him in instantly.
- His personality’s mostly taken from his Prime incarnation, but with a notable artistic streak and less of a fighter. Team’s main engineer and tech guy, not Wheeljack’s equal per say, but more than capable. Very tough but less of a skilled fighter then the rest of the cast, usually a wrecking ball against lesser ‘Cons.
Ratchet: Forged in the tumultuous Era following the First Quintesson War, Ratchet rose from origins in a humble rural village to study under Remedy, the CMO of the Iacon Medical Institute. He would see combat in the War of the Threefold Spark, and his experiences would embitter him to conflict and instill a desire to keep his head down.
He’d abide the rule of the Functionists and be promoted to the Senate’s CMO, which meant he undoubtedly did some shady shit in their service. He would play no part in the Revolution, but was allowed to keep his place due to being too useful. What changed was his realization of the unsustainability of Cybertronian expansion, alongside being press ganged by Alpha Trion into saving and rebuilding Orion Pax following Megatron’s assassination attempt. Afterwards, seeing war was inevitable, he joined the Autobots.
- Cantankerous, embittered by war, reluctant to fight and resistant to change. These features have earned him a fair share of mistrust from other Autobots, but this is not to say he is morally bankrupt. He is utterly dedicated to the preservation of life and the Autobot cause. Once he’s in your corner, he’s staying there.
Chromia: A Coldborn Scout born in the interim between the Decepticon Revolution and the Great War, Chromia has never known a life without war, beginning life as an infiltrator unit before falling into the Autobot ranks more out of loyalty to her partner than any ideological reasoning. Hard as nails, seasoned, and an expert saboteur, she would quickly earn her keep as the Autobot’s premier infiltrator, accomplishing impossible missions deep behind enemy lines.
Unfortunately, what she possessed in skill and luck failed to translate into her partnerships, and she’s lost several partners and units over the course of the war, most recently Cliffjumper. Embittered and burdened by survivor’s guilt, she prefers working alone, but was called on by Optimus himself in advance of the Earth mission.
- Imagine IDW Chromia & Prime Arcee, with elements of Animated’s Prowl for her current personality.
Later Additions: Drift (Who’s a mix of his IDW incarnation, Prime Wheeljack, and the bits of Animated Prowl Chromia didn’t already take, mostly his backstory) & Windblade (Who’s a mix between her IDW and Cyberverse incarnations)

Daemons for The Murderbot Diaries since daemons make everything more fun. For this universe, all sentient/sapient (IDK the difference) life has a daemon, including bots and constructs (and aliens). For bots and constructs, only other bots or constructs can see/hear/interact with their daemons. Humans don't even know they have them unless they're actually willing to believe them when they say they do. Bot and construct daemons can take on animal forms, but are not limited to them. They settle the same way a human's daemon does.
Character name: their daemon's name: the daemon's pronouns, the daemon's species assuming it's settled
Murderbot: Faceless, it/its, northern mockingbird, Mimus polyglottos
ART/Perihelion: ARD/Aphelion: vae/si/sil/siself, bluetail day gecko, Phelsuma cepediana
Miki: Akira, they/them, southern yellow-cheeked gibbon, Nomascus gabriellae
the humans can get daemons when I think of them. Pin-Lee's definitely some sort of bumble bee

Tomorrow’s Technology on the Space Station Today
Tablets, smart appliances, and other technologies that are an indispensable part of daily life are no longer state-of-the-art compared to the research and technology development going on over our heads. As we celebrate 20 years of humans continuously living and working in space aboard the International Space Station, we’re recapping some of the out-of-this-world tech development and research being done on the orbiting lab too.
Our Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) helps redefine state-of-the-art tech for living and working in space. Here are 10 technologies tried and tested on the space station with helping hands from its astronaut occupants over the years.
1. Astronaut Wanna-Bees
Astronauts on the space station are responsible for everything from conducting science experiments and deploying satellites to tracking inventory and cleaning. While all are necessary, the crew can delegate some jobs to the newest robotic inhabitants – Astrobees.
youtube
These cube-shaped robots can work independently or in tandem, carrying out research activities. Once they prove themselves, the bots will take on some of the more time-consuming tasks, such as monitoring the status of dozens of experiments. The three robots – named Bumble, Honey, and Queen – can operate autonomously following a programmed set of instructions or controlled remotely. Each uses cameras for navigation, fans for propulsion, and a rechargeable battery for power. The robots also have a perching arm that lets them grip handrails or hold items. These free-flying helpers take advantage of another STMD technology called Gecko Grippers that “stick” to any surface.
2. Getting a Grip in Microgravity
We wanted to develop tools for grabbing space junk, and something strong and super-sticky is necessary to collect the diverse material orbiting Earth. So, engineers studied the gecko lizard, perhaps the most efficient “grabber” on this planet. Millions of extremely fine hairs on the bottom of their feet make an incredible amount of contact with surfaces so the gecko can hold onto anything. That inspired our engineers to create a similar material.
Now the Gecko Gripper made by OnRobot is sold on the commercial market, supporting industrial activities such as materials handling and assembly. The NASA gecko adhesive gripper that’s being tested in microgravity on the Astrobee robots was fabricated on Earth. But other small plastic parts can now be manufactured in space.

3. Make It, or Don’t Take It
Frequent resupply trips from Earth to the Moon, Mars, and other solar system bodies are simply not realistic. In order to become truly Earth-independent and increase sustainability, we had to come up with ways to manufacture supplies on demand.
Tumblr media
A demonstration of the first 3D printer in space was tested on the space station in 2014, proving it worked in microgravity. This paved the way for the first commercial 3D printer in space, which is operated by Made In Space. It has successfully produced more than 150 parts since its activation in 2016. Designs for tools, parts, and many other objects are transmitted to the station by the company, which also oversees the print jobs. Different kinds of plastic filaments use heat and pressure in a process that’s similar to the way a hot glue gun works. The molten material is precisely deposited using a back-and-forth motion until the part forms. The next logical step for efficient 3D printing was using recycled plastics to create needed objects.
4. The Nine Lives of Plastic
Tumblr media
To help fragile technology survive launch and keep food safe for consumption, NASA employs a lot of single-use plastics. That material is a valuable resource, so we are developing a number of ways to repurpose it. The Refabricator, delivered to the station in 2018, is designed to reuse everything from plastic bags to packing foam. The waste plastic is super-heated and transformed into the feedstock for its built-in 3D printer. The filament can be used repeatedly: a 3D-printed wrench that’s no longer needed can be dropped into the machine and used to make any one of the pre-programmed objects, such as a spoon. The dorm-fridge-sized machine created by Tethers Unlimited Inc. successfully manufactured its first object, but the technology experienced some issues in the bonding process likely due to microgravity’s effect on the materials. Thus, the Refabricator continues to undergo additional testing to perfect its performance.
5. Speed Metal
Tumblr media
An upcoming hardware test on the station will try out a new kind of 3D printer. The on-demand digital manufacturing technology is capable of using different kinds of materials, including plastic and metals, to create new parts. We commissioned TechShot Inc. to build the hardware to fabricate objects made from aerospace-grade metals and electronics. On Earth, FabLab has already demonstrated its ability to manufacture strong, complex metal tools and other items. The unit includes a metal additive manufacturing process, furnace, and endmill for post-processing. It also has built-in monitoring for in-process inspection. When the FabLab is installed on the space station, it will be remotely operated by controllers on Earth. Right now, another printer created by the same company is doing a different kind of 3D printing on station.
6. A Doctor’s BFF
Today scientists are also learning to 3D print living tissues. However, the force of gravity on this planet makes it hard to print cells that maintain their shape. So on Earth, scientists use scaffolding to help keep the printed structures from collapsing.
Tumblr media
The 3D BioFabrication Facility (BFF) created by TechShot Inc. could provide researchers a gamechanger that sidesteps the need to use scaffolds by bioprinting in microgravity. This first American bioprinter in space uses bio-inks that contain adult human cells along with a cell-culturing system to strengthen the tissue over time. Eventually, that means that these manufactured tissues will keep their shape once returned to Earth’s gravity! While the road to bioprinting human organs is likely still many years away, these efforts on the space station may move us closer to that much-needed capability for the more than 100,000 people on the wait list for organ transplant.
7. Growing Vitamins
Tumblr media
Conditions in space are hard on the human body, and they also can be punishing on food. Regular deliveries of food to the space station refresh the supply of nutritious meals for astronauts. But prepackaged food stored on the Moon or sent to Mars in advance of astronauts could lose some nutritional value over time.
That’s why the BioNutrients experiment is underway. Two different strains of baker’s yeast which are engineered to produce essential nutrients on demand are being checked for shelf life in orbit. Samples of the yeast are being stored at room temperature aboard the space station and then are activated at different intervals, frozen, and returned to Earth for evaluation. These tests will allow scientists to check how long their specially-engineered microbes can be stored on the shelf, while still supplying fresh nutrients that humans need to stay healthy in space. Such microbes must be able to be stored for months, even years, to support the longer durations of exploration missions. If successful, these space-adapted organisms could also be engineered for the potential production of medicines. Similar organisms used in this system could provide fresh foods like yogurt or kefir on demand. Although designed for space, this system also could help provide nutrition for people in remote areas of our planet.
8. Rough and Ready
Everything from paints and container seals to switches and thermal protection systems must withstand the punishing environment of space. Atomic oxygen, charged-particle radiation, collisions with meteoroids and space debris, and temperature extremes (all combined with the vacuum) are just some conditions that are only found in space. Not all of these can be replicated on Earth. In 2001, we addressed this testing problem with the Materials International Space Station Experiment (MISSE). Technologists can send small samples of just about any technology or material into low-Earth orbit for six months or more. Mounted to the exterior of the space station, MISSE has tested more than 4,000 materials. More sophisticated hardware developed over time now supports automatic monitoring that sends photos and data back to researchers on Earth. Renamed the MISSE Flight Facility, this permanent external platform is now owned and operated by the small business, Alpha Space Test & Research Alliance LLC. The woman-owned company is developing two similar platforms for testing materials and technologies on the lunar surface.
Tumblr media
9. Parachuting to Earth
Tumblr media
Small satellites could provide a cheaper, faster way to deliver small payloads to Earth from the space station. To do just that, the Technology Education Satellite, or TechEdSat, develops the essential technologies with a series of CubeSats built by college students in partnership with NASA. In 2017, TechEdSat-6 deployed from the station, equipped with a custom-built parachute called exo-brake to see if a controlled de-orbit was possible. After popping out of the back of the CubeSat, struts and flexible cords warped the parachute like a wing to control the direction in which it travelled. The exo-brake uses atmospheric drag to steer a small satellite toward a designated landing site. The most recent mission in the series, TechEdSat-10, was deployed from the station in July with an improved version of an exo-brake. The CubeSat is actively being navigated to the target entry point in the vicinity of the NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia.
10. X-ray Vision for a Galactic Position System
Independent navigation for spacecraft in deep space is challenging because objects move rapidly and the distances between are measured in millions of miles, not the mere thousands of miles we’re used to on Earth. From a mission perched on the outside of the station, we were able to prove that X-rays from pulsars could be helpful. A number of spinning neutron stars consistently emit pulsating beams of X-rays, like the rotating beacon of a lighthouse. Because the rapid pulsations of light are extremely regular, they can provide the precise timing required to measure distances.
The Station Explorer for X-Ray Timing and Navigation (SEXTANT) demonstration conducted on the space station in 2017 successfully measured pulsar data and used navigation algorithms to locate the station as it moved in its orbit. The washing machine-sized hardware, which also produced new neutron star science via the Neutron star Interior Composition Explorer (NICER), can now be miniaturized to develop detectors and other hardware to make pulsar-based navigation available for use on future spacecraft.
Tumblr media
As NASA continues to identify challenges and problems for upcoming deep space missions such as Artemis, human on Mars, and exploring distant moons such as Titan, STMD will continue to further technology development on the space station and Earth.

so you tweeted once about robot paz glowing from the inside and how that would look again din's skin and you should know i absolutely read that tweet as like. being able to see paz glowing from inside din through his skin. so that sure is A Thot.
you read that absolutely right
I imagine robot Paz under all that armour would look a little something like (looming, broad-shouldered, smouldering from the inside)
Tumblr media
and this concept could go something like--
(warnings for 2.1k of trans Din, sexy murder bots turned fucking machines, overstimulation, dacryphilia, dubious consent towards the end, cervix penetration, porn with feelings)
(be careful what you wish for, Din)
“Who do I thank for turning your opinion of us… droids?”
The words vibrate with power against the skin of Din’s neck-- bare where Paz has pulled his flight suit low to expose the collar bone. Din gulps, clinging to that steel wrist. Tendons flex under his hand with more sophisticated machinery than Din has witnessed in a droid… maybe ever.
Who does Paz thank?
The image of IG-11 flickers through Din’s mind and his chest tightens with the memory.
“He was… he saved us,” Din says.
Paz hums thoughtfully, the sound resonating through his entire body like the shimmer of something clicking into place. “He?” The hum turns purring and Din inhales sharply as that sound thrums low where an armoured thigh pushes between Din’s legs, backing him against the wall. “Not ‘it’?”
IG was bumbling and utilitarian, only humanoid in its barest essence of four limbs, an upright form, and a head with which to see.
Whoever designed Paz had other ideas. From the polished fingertips thoughtfully tapping the divot of Din’s throat up to Paz’s broad chest with pistons and folds of steel that flex like organic muscle, the larger Mandalorian was designed to look human. By the grace of the Maker, he was still wearing his buy’ce when Din accidentally stumbled on him in the private quarters, but to see the rest of him… Din can’t stop staring.
Paz’s chrome form shines like a droid fresh off the production line (helped by the fact he’d been armoured the long years Din knew him, so neither dust nor rust would have ailed him), an artefact of a time long before disparity and desperate survival. Din almost asks Paz why he wore the armour if, beneath, he had all of this but-- Paz Vizsla followed the Way. Droid or not, he is still Mandalorian. Whoever made him had access to wealth Din will probably never see in his lifetime, and the detail invested in his design, sweeping lines and bold, armoured panels? It’s art.
With a furious blot of realisation, Din glares at the smug droid looming over him. He’s… beautiful.
“Who made you?” he asks.
“Who made you?” Paz retorts, not missing a beat. “I consider it rude to ask, Beroya. But I assure you, they left me fully-equipped.”
Large, steel hands curl behind Din’s thighs. Din yelps as he’s hoisted up against the other Mandalorian’s steel chest-- oh, that metal is warm. An explicable thrill of heat shivers through his body and pools between his legs, realising how effortlessly he’s held and braced. His cheeks burn and he jerks his hands back, knees locking against Paz’s sides for balance. It’s much easier without all that beskar’gam in the way.
He searches that familiar visor, black gaze within a blue helm, this is Paz, you know Paz; his heart still pounds at the snik of steel somewhere below -- folding? Transforming? Can Paz shapeshift?
Din stiffens in shock when something hard and long slides against his clothed ass.
“The hell does a droid need a cock for?” he blurts, hands clutched protectively against his stomach.
Paz chuckles, helm tipping down to Din’s neck. Cool beskar kisses his skin and Din shivers. “I’d ask the same of yours for all I doubt you use it.”
Din whimpers at the possessive squeeze of the large hands on his thighs, arching into Paz’s immovable form. The other delights, doing it again, then rocks Din suggestively against his armoured hips.
“I was built to endure,” Paz says, all but a purr in Din’s audial. Din inhales sharply as Paz steps in, firmly pressing him between the stone and that steel wall of muscle. A traitorous shudder of anticipation runs through him. “I’m powered by sources they don’t even make anymore. I’ll march for days without slowing. My fists can break mountains.”
The promise in those claims makes Din’s mouth water. But this is still Paz and he’s annoying, presumptuous, manhandling Din into corners Din never asked for but always fails to refuse….
He growls, pushing against that obnoxious, beautifully-muscled chest, damn him. A flicker of blue between steel sinew stops him, and he stares as Paz moans, the glacial light washing down his form like a wave. He blinks. “Are you glowing from the inside?”
“Nobody’s touched me in years,” Paz sighs, headily.
Din swallows thickly. He watches with fascination as lines that would normally define the edge of muscles light up following the trail of his fingers from lower rib to central abdomen and down, down.... He’s glad he took off his gloves for this.
Reaching between their bodies, Din’s hand closes around an intimidating column of steel, ridged and warm to the touch. He’s not convinced he’s not holding another weapon. The steel thrums under Din’s touch and he drops it in shock, looking down at what he’s dealing with.
He almost regrets looking. He stares.
“Din,” Paz pleads, a rush of air, squeezing his thighs.
Din’s heart skips at the familiar address, but he hastily ignores it. Nobody had touched Paz in years? “It’s very you.” He internally shakes his head, reaching down for the synthetic monster between Paz’s legs. “Did you modify this yourself?”
“No.”
The cock is heavy in his hands. Surprisingly, for the most part, fashioned like a human’s, only the gentlest curve bowing its straight length away from Paz’s body and ending with a blunt, rounded head. That’s where the comparisons end. Din can barely wrap his fingers around the girth at its thinnest point beneath the head and its length nearly meets his forearm. His mind blanks even as the heat between his legs gives a hard throb of interest, imagining the stretch. Already, he’s growing wet.
“Please,” Paz sighs out against him, hips bucking, and Din realises his fingers were playing over the segmented ridges of smooth steel, wondering at their gently flared design.
“What are these for?”
Paz shudders under Din’s firm stroke from root to tip. Din watches with fascination as that glacial shimmer of light follows the path of his hand.
“Nnnh-- i-its for-- it’s-- to clean out t-the seed of any who c-came before.”
Din’s vision narrows and he has to strangle the groan of want in his throat, inner muscles clenching in sympathy. He leans back to search Paz’s visor. What do Paz’s eyes look like beneath that helm? A human’s? Or a droid’s? Will they shutter with his pleasure or burn bright?
“I don’t think you were built for war,” Din concludes.
Paz groans under the next experimental stroke, all but slumping against Din to the wall, that degree of sensitivity in a droid all but confirming Din’s suspicions. He’s so deliciously large and strong, engineered to serve for days without tiring, but Din cannot look past his size.
“And I don’t think you were built for someone like me,” he murmurs.
Paz whines and a steel hand flies up to cup Din’s face. “No, I can-- I was-- please, let me--”
Din snickers at the desperation in his voice. The palm of steel is soothingly cool against his cheek. “Now you tell the truth.”
“I can-- smaller and I can-- slow, I’ll--”
Reducing the typically bombastic Paz Vizsla to broken words of lust was not on Din’s bucket list but it’s a milestone worth having. A hand grips Paz’s shoulder and beskar on beskar rings out as Din knocks their helms together with a growl. Paz startles, disoriented.
“We’re not gentle people, Vizsla,” Din says. I just want you.
Paz is silent for a moment, hand still clutching the side of his buy’ce. “I can,” he stumbles again, and for the first time Din notices the way his voice glitches as one would swallow, “Your hand-- like this--”
“Inside,” Din corrects him, “Like this.” Exactly as you are. Paz’s gaze feels stupefied as Din links hands behind that strong neck, pulling himself up closer until they’re pressed helm to helm, chest to chest, and Din grinds that immense cock between Paz’s belly and his clothed groin, thrilling in the answering full-body shudder up Paz’s frame. “Show me what they built you for.”
///
Din has few regrets in his life. But he does regret they waited so long to discover this.
“Uuuhn-- fu-- ah, ah, aahn!”
Din’s sharp cry of release strangles in his throat, bowed, every muscle taut under the powerful frame ploughing into him. Splayed and pinned with shoulders braced against the wall, his voice cracks in a sob as Paz fucks him through his second orgasm of the hour, every brutal stroke targeted, tireless, and faster than anything an organic could achieve. Faster than most machines.
What is Paz made of?
Head fallen back, Din thrashes, overwhelmed.
Fuck-- fuck-- it’s too good-- too-- much--
Looming over him, a sound of ruin and voracious hunger bleeds into his senses. “Yes, give me more.”
The ceaseless churn of pistons in Paz’s hips is almost drowned by the vulgar smack of steel into wet skin. Din writhes against the hands gripping his hips and wordlessly begs for mercy as Paz stretches him open on that punishing cock, over and over, driving in deeper than Din has ever felt. He keens and wails, and it’s only when his cries climb high and thin, frantic, then mute-- torn through a third release, does Paz slow.
Din had begun to doubt if he would.
Falling limp in that iron hold, Din convulses with aftershocks, chest heaving with sweat, gasping for air like a dying man. He clings to the hands that dwarf him in their grip around his waist. His thighs attempt to close against Paz’s sides with a gurgling moan of overstimulation.
Manda.
He’s not the only one affected.
“Nnnh, look, look at you,” Paz groans hotly, and Din forces his eyes open through sheer force of will, heavy under the weight of sensation. The sight that greets him makes his pounding heart skip a beat.
Between the panels masquerading as muscle in Paz’s chest, the heavy infantryman burns bright lava red. There’s a core to him that wasn’t exposed before, and its searing light glows through every line of muscle definition from his torso, down his abdomen, right through to--
Din groans with mindless lust and paws at his belly, at the immense cock lighting him up on the inside in an amber glow from the raw lips of his cunt to his lower rib cage. Din must be mad. It looks monstrous. Paz is so wide, the light trail suggests Din’s hips are being forced into a new alignment, but all he feels is icy hot bliss.
Vision clearing with slow, heavy blinks, he realises Paz had only managed to bury two-thirds of himself. The pang of disappointment is surprising. He reaches down to try closing a hand around that last third. The angle forces the head of Paz’s cock to glance something deep, spongy and molten inside and he lurches with a shock of sensation.
“Hhhhh you are perfect,” Paz is slurring above him, and Din’s cheeks burn more at the words than the hand closing over his to stroke the glowing line of that cock through Din’s skin.
“Sh-- up.” Din can hardly get the words out, his tongue so thick in his mouth.
Paz is dazed in his fixation. “Lit up… open for me.”
The heavy infantryman gathers him in with hands under his shoulderblades and raises him up, folding Din against his chest, legs thrown wide over his arms. Immediately, gravity forces Din’s weight down on the remainder of Paz’s cock and Din’s jaw drops, expression wrenching in awe as, inside, that molten girth confronts a new barrier.
“But I think you can take it all,” Paz rumbles, sounding more machine than man.
Fear and excitement lash through Din’s mind, but he doesn’t possess the capacity to voice them anymore. Din can, yes he wants to but he’s-- scared, this is--
Hands scrabble at Paz’s pauldrons and his helm thuds against that muscled chest by the fierce glow of Paz’s core, panting wildly. The machine widens its stance, frame curved, bracing Din lower against its hips and Din’s heart thuds in anxious dread at the sound of another shift of metal, stone buckling beneath their feet as Paz grounds them in place. Din keens as those wicked ridges scrape against his wet-hot inner walls on the withdraw, the light show leaving his body one curved segment at a time until only the tip remains inside.
Panic wins out, gripping Din. It won’t fit. “It’s too much.”
“Shhh,” Paz purrs back into him, soothing and undaunted. “I have you.”
The words fall softly, unspooling something secret and dangerous, almost forgotten in Din’s chest; he steals a glance up at the other Mandalorian as that light behind muscled panels flares. Paz surges into him with inexorable force and Din howls, clinging, as the final barrier is breached and Paz hilts himself, impossibly deep.
Din is agony… and ecstasy… he’s going to tremble apart, and he can’t hear a word from the Mandalorian entrapping him:
“You are so beautiful when you cry, Beroya. Maybe you were right… to fear us droids.”
.
.
.
.
.
incidentally, in this AU, I do have a theory for who could have built droid Paz Vizsla -- what Mandalorian had resources, a wicked sense of humour and prodigious skills of weapons design?

Now what? - The future of this blog
Currently I have five Alternate Universes float around in my head and maybe you’ll like them to come to life here? I plan fanart, comics and maybe some graphic novel style with art and written text. Please share your thoughts and opinions. <3 I. How to raise your sparkling - TFA AU
After Starscream got captured by the Elite Guard, they start to experiment with his CNA to create Autobots with flight ability. However, Starscream manages to free himself and out of spite he snatches the two protoforms right out of their incubator. But he doesn’t feel pleased with himself for long. On the run and with now two demanding sparklings craving his attention, killing Megatron and ruling the universe isn’t such an easy goal anymore...
II. Metroplex Asylum - IDW1/Cyberverse AU set after TAAO
Based on the scrapped idea for Starscream to return with amnesia, after his Quintesson form got destroyed. I would let this take place in the Cyberverse universe, but IDW1 provides so much better world building and consequences, so it’s set there. Windblade fights Vigilem alone in her own head until Starscream logs in to help. During the procedure, Vigilem manages to almost totally override Starscream’s brain-module which forces Airachnid to call a halt before it’s too late. She fries the unwelcome foreign pattern inside Starscream’s head, causing irreparable damage. When Starscream wakes up again - something they didn’t even hope for - he has only a fleeting grasp of some events (mostly early war), tends to terrible mood swings and is obsessed with Windblade, who feels responsible for him, but can’t handle his unfiltered feelings towards her. In the end they have no other choice, but to put the Chosen One, the leader of Cybertron, into an institution full with other bots with mental health issues. While Starscream bends over backwards to make sense of his surroundings and is generally at peace with himself, the past, present and future won’t stop haunting him.
III. Endless Utopia - IDW2 AU
I already started this comic until I put it on hiatus last year. However, I have nine pages in the making and plan to update this soon and hopefully at a faster pace. This AU is based on the idea of a “Nicescream”. Even though his life is more than complicated, he found his own little happiness. But pre-war Cybertron won’t leave him alone.
IV. Moon City - No specific universe with a pinch of Armada
Decades after the war between Autobots and Decepticons ended, earth is a mostly unhabitable place thanks to climate change and World War III. The only flicker of hope for the average human survivor is Moon City, a base built on the moon with artificial atmosphere and Cybertronian technology. While it provides a life in luxury and first of all health, not everyone can enter and the cost of living is sky high. Alexis Thi Dang got the grades to be accepted at the Moon City Academy, but scrapping the money together to keep studying is a daily struggle. Desperately searching on the network for ways to get benefits, she stumbles over the possible solution: In this city of the future, humans who are partnered to a Cybertronian are extremely privileged. Especially the winners of the war, the Autobots, are highly demanded partners. The Council of Humanity even runs a secret project to create a techno-organic mix-race which is supposed to be the answer to the new living conditions in space and possible colonies in foreign atmospheres. Anybody contributing to this goal has their place in Moon City ensured. Alexis however, is among the population just an average Jane, so she cannot even dream of finding a Cybertronian who wants to hook up with a human. Therefore she surfs the dark net and finds a fishy organization willing to provide her a partner... Starscream is on the run since the war ended and hides in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter where he scratches together all the energon he can find. One day he gets roused by humans searching for the same... and Cybertronian spare parts. Barely able to flee, he looks for a safe haven and meets Swindle who is into some not so legal businesses and makes Starscream some not so confidence-inspiring promises to smuggle him into Moon City, the only place of Cybertronian standards he can reach for now. Desperate, Starscream agrees... and gets paired up with Alexis. The beginning of a “wonderful” partnership.
V. Starscream the Movie - No specific universe
I once wanted to create a canon divergent Bumble Bee the Movie fic. This was born out of the idea that both Bee and Starscream are stranded on earth, but I rewrote the whole thing into basically “What could a movie about Starscream look like?” So, we got everything. His creation, his place among the Decepticons, his relationship with Megatron and of course his flock, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Slipstream... a benevolent doctor called Knock Out and the joys of being a giant robot thrashing planets with primitive species and Autobots trying to protect them.  Starscream’s winning streak goes to his head though and results in his fall from grace. He is basically degraded to hunt down insignificant Autobot bases and his first target is Bee on earth. This is probably my most ambitious project and that’s why I can’t reveal too much.
(VI. A forgotten grave - IDW1)
Short comic about Megatron who wants to meet Starscream one last time before his execution. Based on this:
Q: How did the LL crew - specifically Megatron - react to the deaths of Optimus, Soundwave, and Starscream?
A: Let's specifically focus on Megatron - he would've been conflicted about all three. Would've been most cut up over Starscream's death, because there was a lot of unfinished business between him and Starscream, and the reformed pacifist Megatron never got to meet Starscream. That probably eats away at him. Closely followed by Optimus. Would've been incredibly interested in what Soundwave had done and would've been proud of him. Imagine he would have been bitterly affected by all three deaths in slightly different ways.
While Megatron shows NEVER any regret about how he treated Starscream in the comics, I’ll just take this word of god here and do something with it.
---
Well then. Any thoughts? ;D

Power Rangers Beast Morphers Season 2 Episode 22 Review: Evox Unleashed
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This POWER RANGERS BEAST MORPHERS review contains spoilers.
In the end this is how it was always going to be. For as excited as I was after last weeks triumphant Power Rangers Beast Morphers episode, there was no way this episode could live up to it. ‘Evox Unleashed’ is good but it’s not great and much of that can be put down to the mandate that has held back Beast Morphers from living up to its true potential.
As I’ve mentioned many times before but bares repeating now, when Senior Vice President of Power Rangers Franchise Development and Production Brian Casentini left the franchise he left us with this revealing quote.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
“I am a big fan of serialized storytelling, but most broadcasters across the globe want more episodic storytelling for scheduling ease.”
Knowing this was a limitation helped me understand the series more and review it under the proper context. It improved many episodes knowing the plot line wouldn’t continue and I could appreciate what they did in such a short time. It hurt others when they didn’t use the standalone story to give us more insight into the characters or even tell a proper one and done lesson. Standalone doesn’t mean it has to be completely disposable.
Casentini went on to say in that same interview that, “I think we found a really great balance (between serialized and episodic) with Power Rangers Beast Morphers.” To give the show credit, many of the serialized episodes did work. The problem was that they more often felt like glimpses into a fully serialized show than proper serialized stories in of themselves. Something felt off about them even when they were good.
That’s not to say only the serialized stories had merit. Some episodic plots were fairly fun and a few were great. Most of them though weren’t used to develop the characters in a meaningful way. Without that the serialized moments the show was able to have couldn’t land. Without character arcs even the biggest of plot moves feel empty.
So it’s no wonder that when we get to the finale we get a lot of great moments that are kneecapped by a lack of development from earlier in the series. The start of the finale is great. It’s tense, we get a tearful moment between Zoey and her mom, and there’s an incredible sequence of the Rangers busting out old weapons. I still wish they had put more time into explaining how the Ranger Vault came to be but it was genuinely clever to have them use old weapons to get around Evox’s ability to absorb their own. Great way to have fan service but still impact the story.
We also get some good callbacks to last episode when Nate says, “I made you, Evox, but today we’re gonna destroy you. As a team!” Perfect way to cement the lesson he learned. Evox later saying, “it’s been a long time since I’ve taken out a civilization” was an excellent RPM callback.
Steel’s sacrifice was also powerful and devastating. More than anyone else we’ve gotten to know and love Steel over these two seasons and he’s always been a delight. Seeing him sacrifice everything was a huge shock but very effective. It gave the rest of the episode more weight. The problem is that while the solution the team comes up with is a good one (combining their human DNA with Morph-X) it’s rooted in the message that the team is strong because they’re human. That’s… true, I guess? But the finale acts like this is something that’s been building up the entire show. It hasn’t. Outside of Steel’s desires to be human this was never built up as a central theme. This wasn’t a constant problem the characters had to deal with in their episodic adventures. I guess you could stretch and say Ravi felt like a bit of a robot when he had to ignore his feelings for Roxy and his love of art but that’s being generous.
Far more effective would have been the very simply message of you don’t have to solve your problems alone. That would have tied into pretty much everyone’s stories in the series. Devon needed to take advice from his dad but refused to listen. Zoey was determined to solve big problems but often tried to do it all on her own. Ravi hid away his feelings and suffered alone. Nate felt isolated from the world and had to build a brother to find friendship. Hell, that would have been a great way to bring in Ben and Betty who while bumbling have always worked together.
And making the ultimate theme of the show, “you’re strong because you’re human” is even more head scratching when you remember the Beast Bots. Are they not strong because they’re robots? Are they only strong because they have human best friends? Is Steel only strong because he’s half human? It’s an odd message with some alarming undertones if you sit there and analyze it. Just looking at on the surface it boils down to ALL MACHINES ARE BAD… when the show did a lot of work to make the Beast Bots sympathetic.
Much of the weight of the start of the episode was able to establish is lost in this confusion and in Steel coming back to life as a human. It’s cute that he finally gets what he always wanted but it robs the show of a more powerful ending. I can understand not wanting to kill a Ranger even if he is a robot but if there were anytime they could get away with killing a Ranger, it’d be here. The human ending is also strange because they add Steel’s voice to his human version. I get why they did it and it was okay in the body swap episode but here it felt too silly. Just give him a regular voice. It would help sell the scene instead of distracting the audience with unintentional comedy.
We then cut to one year later and the montage of scenes is mixed. It’s incredible that Mason Effin’ Truman comes back for a small cameo that also ties off Scrozzle. It subtly does some world building (Corinth and Grid Battleforce are in more contact) and it allows Ben and Betty to finally get some development. Anytime Power Rangers uses James Gaylyn it gets an extra point.
Devon suddenly being a commander doesn’t really work. He moved up in the ranks that quickly? After one year? That’s a little far fetched. Was he even officially enlisted in Grid Battleforce? No one can go from being a recruit to a commander in one year. If he was a commander-in-training I could believe that. This, not so much. Did he even express a desire to be a commander? If this was rooted in an episodic outing earlier in the series it might have been a little easier to buy.
Zoey and Nate working on clean energy was nice though and a good reminder of the franchise’s progressive history. I’m glad they took the time to explain how the city moved away from Morph-X to something that’s attainable in the real world. Power Rangers loves a good message and this was a small but needed one.
General Shaw (love this promotion!) painting with Ravi was cute although it just reminded me how human Roxy was barely in this show. Same with the very bizarre bit with Steel becoming an actor and Blaze being his stunt man. Uh, that came out of nowhere? Steel being an actor, okay, he’s a wacky guy and I can buy that. But Blaze being a stunt man? Yeah he did karate a few times but nothing in the previous episodes set that up. That would have made a nice episodic story that could have reminded us Blaze existed!
The series closes out with the team throwing Steel a birthday and they sing ‘It’s Great to be Human” cementing it as the very odd theme of the show.
Parts of the finale do work, especially the first half, but without any buildup of the shows central themes or the character arcs it all feels flimsy by the end. Its competent but the episodic mandates on the show as a whole crippled its chances. This could have worked with more planning on how the episodic stories could have supported a larger theme but that wasn’t allowed or simply wasn’t done. It makes the finale feel like a slapdash ending that wants to be big and grand but can only manage the trappings of it. The human DNA mixed with Morph-X was a great solution to destroying Evox but rooting it in “it’s great to be human” just made it fall flat. It’s a decent finale but one that will sadly be more known for finally wrapping up the Venjix cliffhanger from RPM than wrapping up Beast Morphers’ story.
This leaves Beast Morphers in a middle ground in the history of Power Rangers. It was a decent series with a lot of potential but ultimately couldn’t deliver on most of it and felt aimless for much of its run. There were genuine moments of quality throughout and you could see a great show in it. Sadly the episodic stories were not up to a high enough quality to sustain the series between the serialized ones, where the show seemed to spend much of its energy. This was Beast Morphers‘ biggest mistake.
Those standalone stories could have been structured in a way to still be episodic while forming a backbone to the show that let those serialized stories thrive. Without that backbone the attempts at serialization just felt like reminders of wasted potential instead of solid stories in their own right.
I’m very interested to see where Power Rangers goes from here. Simon Bennett is one of the more experienced show runners to join the franchise so his influence on the show could be a positive one. Hasbro has also  gotten out of the training wheel phase with Power Rangers and could have a better idea of what they want out of the franchise. I hope they take the lessons learned from Beast Morphers and use them to find the best way to work within their mandates to make Power Rangers the best show it can be. It has the potential, Beast Morphers showed that. Let’s hope they can live up to it.

Grid Ghost Chapter 8: Returning to Roots
“Have you discovered the identity of the mutant?”
“Not yet. But I am making progress. Luckily, he isn’t too hard to find. The idea to look for a specific heat signature was brilliant idea, Naoki.”
“Give yourself some credit, Erin. You’re the one specialized on this mutant, not me. You provided the information, I helped provide resources and a solution.”
Erin chuckled, thumbing through her files on a tablet, glancing up once in awhile at her monitor set up.
“True. Bird Boy is of extreme interest to me and I know the most about him.” She pulled a picture The Phoenix, smiling softly. “But alas, I’ll only be able to do so much before I have to hand him over to Liv.” She sighed, resting a cheek against her hand. “I’ll just enjoy it while it lasts.” She shook her head, putting the image away. “Regardless, once I have more information I’ll be sending her another report. Rather not send a light one.”
“Sounds solid. Let me know how that goes.”
“Will do.” Erin looked up fully at the screen to her right, staring at the image of a man that was on it. “How about you? How’s the research going on those bumbling group of life savers?”
“Getting there. Footage from one of my droids has been giving me quite the show.” He smirked, pulling up an image of a group of people running into a burning building. “I’m starting to get results. I just need her to continue to follow them.”
“How good are they in a fight?”
“Deadly.” Naoki smirked, crossing his arms. “My girl won’t let me down.” His eyes narrowed. “Regardless, I’m going to get their secrets. My daughter’s life relies on it. I’ve been promised a handsome grant and state of the art facilities if I bring it to Ms. Amara’s attention.”
“Such a wonderful woman, isn’t she?” Erin grinned. “Giving us all so much, all in exchange for some small little things.” Erin stretched a little, leaning back in her chair. “Well, I got work to do. I got a bird to track and you got some life savers to harass. Send Drake and Coilin my regards.”
Erin closed the call with Naoki, turning her attention to her work.
“Alright, let’s see if we can find you again, Bird Boy.”
oooooo
Tadashi hadn’t seen the streets of San Fransokyo in a long time. Almost a year if he remembered correctly.
It’s had to have been six months at least.
Regardless, it was weird to be driving through them again with Eboni on her motorcycle.
Not much has changed. Still the same as I remembered it.
“Feeling at home?” Eboni asked, breaking the man from his trance.
“Huh? Oh uh… sort of. Feel more out of place to be honest.”
“Understandable.” Eboni looked at her instructions that were present on the visor of her helmet. “Okay… Right turn here at this light then our destination should be on our right.”
“Cool.”
Tadashi looked around, taking in everything he could. He knew he couldn’t stay for long but he was going to enjoy every moment he could get being able to be back in his home city.
They soon came to a stop at an abandoned building that had clearly seen better days. It had holes in the walls and the glass of the windows it had were all shattered.
“Yeesh.” Eboni parked her bike, getting off with Tadashi. “Looks like there was a bad scuffle here.”
“And I think I can take a guess who one of the fighters were.” Tadashi said, hurrying over to it, feeling at the edges of the holes.
It has to be Baymax’s work. That rocket fist could break through anything.
Tadashi made his way into the building, looking around, pulling out his phone, turning on the flashlight. Eboni joined him, doing the same.
“So, we’re looking for something that resembles him. That’s what he said, right?” Eboni asked.
“Something that resembles him but is unpleasant to look-”
Tadashi jumped as his light landed on something. A robot that bore a striking resemblance to Obake, however, its outer platings were unfinished on one side, exposing the inner workings of the robot, including the skull area… and it was melted and burnt in some areas. It stared blankly back, not even moving a servo.
Eboni looked towards where Tadashi was, giving a flat look as she beheld the robot.
“Well… that’s disturbing… and a hunk of junk.” Eboni walked over to it, giving it a small kick in the head. “This was built by a genius, right?”
Tadashi shook his head, joining her.
“Blunt as ever.” Tadashi looked over the rest of the bot. “From the looks of it, this was a rush job. Had to get it out as soon as possible. Dangerously armed though. I would not have wanted to get into a fight with this thing when it was still active.”
“You could’ve melted its servos with ease.” Eboni’s flat look didn’t falter. “Actually, you could’ve melted this whole thing easily considering what seems to have already happened to it. The metal here is cheap. Rush AND a hack job. Obake wants this robot back, why?”
“His work. Guess he wanted to improve on it.”
“Well, I better be in that lab room to help then because this is just embarrassing.” Eboni stepped away, gesturing to Tadashi. “You pick it up, I’ll get him a helmet so people don’t look at us weird.”
Tadashi nodded, doing as told, lifting the robot up with ease into his arms.
“Huh, surprisingly light.”
“Probably used carbon fiber or something for the framework.” Eboni said, hurrying out, soon returning with a helmet, putting it on the robot’s head. “There, now that stupid red eye can stop staring at me.”
“So I wasn’t the only one being bugged by that.”
“It’s just so… lame. That’s all I got. But I feel like I’ve said that enough.” Eboni turned, giving a wave of her hand. “Come on, let’s head home before certain people start staring.”
They were soon outside again, securing the robot into the side cart. Just as they were about to leave, a car zoomed by them at top speed, buffeting the two.
“Hey! I’m trying to drive here!” Eboni shouted, shaking a first at them. “Stupid reckless idiots!”
ZOOM!
Eboni and Tadashi’s eyes went wide a big red winged robot zoomed past them, pursuing the car.
“... I’m not the only one who saw that, right?” Eboni asked.
“Nope. And if you know what’s right, you’re gonna go after it.” Tadashi answered, putting on his helmet, wrapping his arms around Eboni’s abdomen.
Eboni didn’t waste a second to start up her motorcycle, chasing after the robot.
The car sped up, keeping ahead of the robot as one of the passengers leaned out the window, hurling something at a figure on the bot’s back.
“GET A LIFE YA FREAKS!”
The robot sped up, flying right beside the car.
“Pull over now and maybe it won’t end in attempted assault charges too!” The figure screamed back.
“You little-FLOOR IT!”
Eboni sped up, pulling up next to the car, Tadashi starting to loosen his grip.
Just melt the tires a little, make it sneaky-
“Oh, that’s it! Get me higher! I got this!” the figure on the robot shouted.
The robot pulled up as the figure leapt down, landing on top of the car, using magnetism to hang on.
“I SAID!” He pulled a sai out as it crackled with electricity. “SLOW… DOWN!!!!”
He slammed it into the side of the car as sparks started to surround it. The car started to swerve before being forced to come to a stop as the perps tried to make a break for it.
The robot was faster, landing in front of them.
“You are under arrest.” it said.
The perps were soon surrounded by 4 other people, all dressed in colorful armor. Tadashi and Eboni were wide eyed as they beheld the group. There was no need for questions. They knew who they were.
“Big Hero 6…” Eboni whispered.
Hiro…
Tadashi remained silent, his eyes locked on his little brother as he and his friends worked on clearing the roadway, cuffing the two perps to a lamp post with a set of magnetic handcuffs.
“The cops will be here to pick you up soon.” Hiro said, twirling a sai in his hands. “You can think about your life choices till then.”
The two perps growled at him but were unable to do anything with their restraints.
“Alright, let’s go team.” Hiro said, getting onto Baymax.
The rest of the group nodded, setting off.
“Hey!”
Hiro looked over his shoulder, seeing Eboni waving at him.
“Nice work! Keep it up!” She shouted.
Hiro smiled, giving a salute.
“Stay safe, citizens!” Hiro looked to Baymax. “Let’s go Baymax. Full thrust!”
Baymax nodded, doing as told, taking to the skies in seconds.
Eboni smirked, crossing her arms.
“You got one heck of a brother, Tadashi.”
Tadashi smiled, pride shining in his eyes.
“I sure do… He’s growing up so fast.”
I just hope I can see him again soon.
Eboni elbowed him gently.
“And one day, I want to see you running right beside him. Ya got it?”
Tadashi was taken aback by this but soon let out a chuckle, wrapping his arms around Eboni’s abdomen again.
“Got it. How about we start with getting this robot back to Saga, hm?”
“That’s what I was thinking.”
Eboni revved her motorcycle, taking off. Tadashi looked back one last time, catching a glimpse of Baymax and Hiro in the sky.
I’ll be back one day, Hiro.
Just keep doing what you’re doing.
